What you said would apply to all managers, once they lose a player they replace him with another at their disposal therefore in that sense it is nothing new. Where things will get tricky for Klopp will be trying to get a player replicate what Mane brought to the team.

The players he currently has in the squad are full of potential but right now are not good enough at this stage to do even 50% of what Mane was doing therefore you are right it will take time to adjust.

What will happen to Liverpool during that period of adjustment is an open question. I think they will suffer, they will fail to challenge for the Premier League and will not get beyond the quarter-finals of the champions league. I think this season will be a huge setback for Liverpool because Mane was a brilliant player for them and his work and efforts cannot be replaced immediately.

Mane is replaceable just as any other player but until someone is able to fill that void Liverpool will suffer. It will be an interesting statistic to see the goals Salah scores without Mane helping him.

Undoubtedly. Now, I believe Klopp will certainly adjust his game strategy/tactics to the new players he has at his disposal, in order to make up for this absence. Even so, it will always take a while to adjust.

@JollyGood Mane wasn’t just a player he was that piece of the puzzle that was sticking this Liverpool side together, and constantly pushing them to win hence it’ll take a season or two to replace him. Lastly I’m not really sure that Salah will be fine without him, because I’m personally expecting him to score less goals this season due to Mane’s transfer.

Pathetic display from the Pakistani batsmen. All out for just 231. Perhaps I was expecting a bit too much, after the collapse yesterday. Anyway, Sri Lanka now leads by 147 runs. In case they add another 200 runs or so, then it will get almost impossible for Pakistan to win this match. Well, they made 344 in the first test, but we can't expect miracles to happen too often. Ramesh Mendis picked up 5 wickets for Sri Lanka, while Prabath Jayasuriya got three. Now we can agree that Sri Lanka is having the best spin attack in the world (at least in test format).
So far there are no demon on deck so they clearly batted very poorly. Almost every batter in this match getting a good start but keep throwing his wicket, this happened with Lankan batters also in the 1st inning but they managed to build 3-4 good partnership in which pakistan failed royally. In morning too Yasir shah and Hasan Ali were batting without any pressure.

SL should target 250-300 runs in the 2nd inning and hope pitch deterioration in next couple of days, if not then this test still wide open as Pakistan would fancy chasing anything below 400, considering pitch remains the same and just odd ball doing something weird for the bowler, happened in the 1st test too.

@Sithara007 I wouldn’t rule out Pakistan entirely, because they have shown strong performances in test cricket and they could yet bounce back in the second innings.@JSRAW you’re spot on if the pitch further breaks down then Pakistan batsmen will really struggle but even then I feel that they won’t go down without a fight, hence Srilanka will have to put up a really big total to put maximum pressure on Pakistan’s batsmen.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: July 26, 2022, 03:40:22 AM
The Italy thing gives me incredible pain, for me the Italians have a great style of play, also their history defines them a lot, there are already two World Cups in a row that we don't see them, I think that Italian Soccer needs to have more discipline, and that is It starts with the leagues, series A a few years ago had great fame, I know that the pandemic affected clubs around the world a lot, but I think it is time for not only the Bundesliga, the Spanish league, to shine, but also the Italian must be the protagonist, the French league is currently quite famous, in this if the money should move to promote the sport.

Every year some of the top teams fail to qualify for the World Cup, especially from the two toughest confederations (UEFA and CONMEBOL). I am disappointed about Italy, but at the same time I am sad about Colombia, Chile and Paraguay as well. But this is how qualifications work. FIFA also need to ensure that the world cup has sufficient representation from all the regions, so sometimes teams from tough confederations lose out. But for the plus point, we have teams such as Qatar who are participating for the first time ever. I am excited about Wales as well. This is their first world cup after 1958. A wait of more than six decades. Phew!

@LUCKMCFLY I personally felt that Italy player’s gave up the qualifying match too easily, because I was expecting a final battle between them and Portugal but they were really awful and for 2026 they need a whole new team, and a new coach if they wish to qualify for the World Cup. @Sithara007 Wales won’t win the cup, but I expect them to cause an upset or two because Bale will be fully fit, and he’ll be raring to get some wins for Wales.

Congratulations to Stake and their team for reaching the 100 billion bets milestone! There are really a lot going on behind the scenes that people do not know about, so I want to thank Eddie and the marketing team and the support and mods and developers and site admins for all their hard work.  Wink

We know Stake.com has fought many battles with DoSS attacks and scammers that are constantly trying to exploit loopholes, but they still managed to keep the site running.....  Grin    Well Done, now let's see if we can reach the next milestones ==> a Trillion bets! or a quadrillion...then a  quintrillion or a sextillion...!!!!

Congrats to Stake for having 100 billion bets; it is an insane amount and I think activity really ramped up since last year. Stake was one of the first crypto casinos I joined and I still like them for their sport promotions (allthough there are less than before) and the weekly/monthly bonus.

@Kakmakr the team indeed put in lots of work, and lots changed when they assigned @symphonized here to post daily updates which encouraged many user’s to participate more as they were aware of each and every event in advance. Furthermore they decided to change their UI and add outside games which showed that they didn’t want to be rigid in their strategy, and it helped them further connect to an audience that wanted more than Stake’s original game’s.

At a rate of 1500 dollars on 5000x profit would mean 7.5 million dollars.
I do understand that it is "possible" if we do that, and it is not impossible, but at the same time how many times could you wager 1.5k per bet?

Its kinda impossible because of the nature of the game. First you need to actually land 6 rare traits ( getting even one of the rarest trait for the highest multiplier is pretty uncommong already, imagine that you have to hit 6 of them ) that you select to add up to around 125x extra multipliers then you'll need a constant streak of landing the symbols constantly until you reach up to 5000x of the base bet.
In that case its close to impossible. Only whale gamblers and risk taker might have the guts to place $1500 bet even the result is uncertain. Plus as you have said 6 rare traits are needed but even getting one is hard, would you dare to bet knowing your chances? Thats why just bet the amount that we can only afford so regardless of the result it wont hurt as much.
Big whales can surely take a dig at these big wagers and even don't hitting the highest multiplier they will be fine with it.Even if you have say 100x with $1500 bet the maximum of it then you see the profit margin is high but hitting the highest seems like impossible to me as well including the rare traits also.

I agree that’s it not impossible for whales to achieve it, but I doubt that many will chase it because the chances of them winning is very less. Furthermore normal user’s should not even consider trying it, because they’ll probably end up losing majority of their funds, and lastly they could even end up having huge debts as they would need huge amounts for this.
1546  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 24, 2022, 06:23:28 AM
Honestly, this is what I always tell people and I am happy to see someone that understands that the KYC thing is something that's beyond the casino's power and once the casino Master license holder introduces a rule and regulation the casino must comply.

This is what I don't get to people, they are afraid to do KYC but they almost expose their whole life on social media. As long as the casino is reputable and you don't have criminal records that could alert the authorities then it should not be a problem complying on their rules. Criminals can't just use your identity if you limit what you post on the internet. Casino's usually just ask for your complete name, address, and a valid id to prove it. I don't think that is enough for someone to use your identity for their bad intentions.
Probably they still believe that cryptocurrency should remain decentralized which included being anonymous. We are in a different situation now, we all want the adoption to happen but in order to achieve that, we should accept that regulation is a key and with that said, expect that KYC will slowly implement later on. I'm wondering if those people really trust their banks, they think their personal details is safe with the bank well in fact, they are also selling that information.
@xSkylarx people with criminal records can still do KYC is he/she funds is from a good source and never abuse the casino rules and regulations. About, social media, I believe some people never wake up to the fact social media is one of the number one platforms that makes them vulnerable.
@Johnyz You have a point and people have to accept the fact that if we want every crypto related business or activity to grow there will be some certain sacrifice.

I think a user needs to understand that with so many gambling regulations in place, and many more to come Roobet has no option but to strictly apply KYC rules and if a user doesn’t like it then they should not deposit their funds there simple.

@xSkylarx people with criminal records can still do KYC is he/she funds is from a good source and never abuse the casino rules and regulations.

How can a casino say or prove that the money he's using is from a good source if the person already has criminal records? It's like saying the authorities won't arrest a criminal on an airport that is trying to escape because he doesn't violate any rules within the area.

If a casino allows him to play on their platform then they are risking their business that could result to a permanent closure once authorities knew it.

@xSkylarx totally agree with you because there’s no way for Roobet to find out if the user who has a past criminal record is now using clean funds, hence it’ll make sense if they decide to ban such user’s right away for their own safety.

Random spin of the day, rolled 00000 (not that it means anything), then saw the price of Bitcoin had made it weirdly that the main prize of $200 was 0.00888xxx

THEN, hit email WoF and won 500 RPs.

I feel like something special happened to me or something lol

@slaman29 how can you get 00000 that’s an error right?, because I haven’t seen anyone here say that they ever got 00000 before. Also the RP points reward is great and now you can buy more WoF from them, or are you planning to use it to increase the btc you can claim because personally I prefer doing the former as I earn more from it.

I can see Totenham and Arsenal doing well. Spurs have a coach that will beat winning mentality into them and they could be a much tougher opponent this season. Arsenal has made some good transfers, Jesus looks like he clicked with the rest of the team immediately and their youngsters (Saka, Odegaard Matinelli & Smith Rowe) are one year older and can only be better. I am bit afraid for their defense though.

I don't believe in Chelsea and they look weaker to me than last season. United can only be better this season, I am sure they can't play worse Smiley

However I still think we will have City/Liverpool fight for the title and these other teams I mentioned will fight for spots 3 & 4.
Neither have the talent to actually win the league, but they are both doing well enough to be in the european competitions level. Top 7 and top 2 are very different. I mean City and LFC will be fighting for top two spot every single year and that's normal, sure LFC had one bad season where they gave the second to United, but they are always there.

Whereas Arsenal and Spurs could be better than most in the league, and they could finish like maybe 4th and 5th respectively which is huge in premier league, but that's about it, I do not see either winning the league as a possibility. Long story short, football is not just wins and losses, win a title or be bad, sometimes you are just decent.

@FanEagle this season whenever one sees good odds on City and Liverpool they should take it, and also keep an eye on how Tottenham and Arsenal perform too, because one can earn good money on them too. Lastly Manchester United I feel is complicated, and unless they start performing exceptionally well right from the start I’ll recommend not to wager on their matches
1549  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: July 23, 2022, 03:51:00 AM
@JollyGood. It might be more complicated than the argument that the government of Italy is being a draconian state, I reckon. They might also be doing this for purposes of taxation which is the revenue source of the government. If international online casinos want to operate in Italy, they need to comply with Italian laws and pay proper taxes. Another purpose for this might be to help avoid their jurisdiction from being a place for money laundering.

Of course, all this is made for taxes.
They pretend they are doing that in order to protect thee fools from separating from their money. The Italian State of course wants the monopoly also in taxing the citizen. So it wants to keep us rich so that we can pay more taxes!

I have to say this is somewhat of a draconian law if it goes to these lengths to control the freedom of choice where their adult citizens opt to gamble. They know VPNs are used to bypass such regulations thus making their attempts to limit access almost a failure, yet they still maintain their stance.

How did it happen?

I think like gambling is very common in Europe and many European countries are opened with gambling industry. Is there change in Italian regulations against Cryptocurrency and gambling industry that I did not know?

Every gambling website selling services to Italian customers must be specifically authorised and monitored by Italian government.
You must abide to a series of regulations and certifications, otherwise, it’s ban.
Basically, all gambling sites are blocked by default, and you get to obtain this authorisation in order to make your website visible.

Welcome to Italy!

I agree that firstly it’s about the taxes, and secondly posts the pandemic government may have realised that the gambling industry is thriving, hence they decided that they’ll earn real good money from the approval process in addition to taxes.

Lastly not all gambling sites allow the use VPN, and what’s happens if the gambling sites put Italy in the list of banned countries then these user’s could face lots of issues if they manage to deposit and win, and lastly what’s Cloudbet stance on this for user’s from Italy?.

Whales who end up gambling a lot are not the type of people you should look at, they are definitely not the type of people who would make any kind of improvement when the time comes. At the end of the day, crypto is a weakly "lead" things since it has no leader and everyone tries to find one for themselves if they do not enjoy the freedom they have. Influencers, experts, veterans etc etc, all these people end up getting a small or big followers and that is the problem.

I personally believe that we shouldn't be focusing on making any type of profit based on what others are doing, you can do the exact same thing but you could end up with a much worse result.

Some of them are just aiming for the contest rewards that’s why they are making huge bet. They have a cashback/rakeback to cover some of there loss but of course this is only applicto those whale players that know what they are doing and not the typical high roller gambler that literally wasting there money by betting carelessly.

I watch a youtube video of a streamer that is terrible on gambling. He has a huge bank roll but he is greed AF. He is playing blackjack and buying bonus on sweet bonanza slot at the same time. He is winning around 40K on blackjack but he keeps feeding on the slot without any good returns until he bust all his money on slot. Watching this kind of whale gambler is really painful in the eyes. You can watch the video on this link https://youtu.be/-c2ET3YGQ4s

@Fan Eagle earlier I too was smitten by whales, but what I realised later was that we cannot follow their lead as they have enough money to sustain big loses too, but if we lose big then we could be in serious trouble. Also I feel that we should respect the whales, but from a distance because it’s too easy to get tempted by their success especially on blackjack game and make mistakes which can haunt us for a very long time.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 22, 2022, 10:18:57 AM
Pep Gaurdiola is a tactical manager. He has his reason for benching Haaland. A good coach is one who source for alternative when a key striker is absent and i believe this was what Pep was trying out to ensure and that he wins his matches with or without Haaland. I believe by the next match against Bayern Haaland will play his debut game. I hope to see him score against his former rival club
Pep is affected by his perfection in tactics. Sometimes he overdoes it and makes all people shocked with unbelievable decisions that are considered as reasons for failures. Sometimes, his weird decisions make his names as one of greatest coach.

Haaland will be challenged by Pep to absorb his tactics but the player is genius and professional. I believe that he will absorb it.

Nunez will not be pressured by different cultures and languages in other countries because a footballer who already has experience will not think about the culture of another country when he has entered a different team than the previous one. Because the main thing that every player has to think about is how to carry out the strategy of their coach and also play better in his new team.
Premier League is difficult for new comers and even Nunez has a big transfer, I think we and Liverpool should give him one first season as a preparation for him. Don't judge about his quality in hks first season there. Give him peace and less pressure as possible. We will see best Nunez in Premier League.
I actually agree with you on this, Nunez is a good and professional striker, though he's facing difficulties in his recent team cause this is his first time of  playing in the premier league. Perhaps we all know alot is expected from him due to the kind of player he is, but I think the fans and the team needs to give him sometime to adapt to the team pattern of play, cause we all know the premier league isn't a easy league for new players.

I don’t know if this was cleared earlier or no, but Pep said Halland didn’t play the game because of an injury and not because of any tactics, and he also said that Halland may get to feature against Bayern. Lastly he’s right to work on Halland fitness as they’ll need him fit ahead of the long season, and as for Nunez he’s got an excellent coach in Klopp who’ll help him settle well in the league, hence I expect that he’ll play well once the season starts.
1552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 22, 2022, 07:43:33 AM
So, those new players also get a cut of their salary? Or get a lower salary than the expected salary they want?
It is very pity that Barcelona players get a cut of their salaries whereas the club is always trying to add more players. I think it is time to stop buying new players and focus on planning how to increase the players' salaries. Sure, getting a cut in salary may influence the psychology of the players. They may be lazy to play or they may not focus on playing.
Hemm a pay cut can affect the psychology of the players on the field and make them sound stressed?

In this case, if the Barcelona players feel uncomfortable, it can be like what De Jong did. But on the contrary, Barcelona really provides good feedback in designing financial improvements. I think not only Barcelona, but other clubs will also do the same when a club's finances don't reach the target. Simply put, you focus too much on the nominal debt that Barcelona has, but forget the ratio that this club generates per month. Jersey sales, investment business, and funds from donors who are ready to make many offers.
Salary deductions are not carried out by force, meaning that there is a negotiation in it so that an agreement is reached. So, even though some of the players have had their pay cut, they are not psychologically depressed. You also have to know, the new players that Barcelona bring in are basically players who really want to play for Barcelona, meaning they are not forced to choose Barcelona for example like Lewandowski and Rapinha. Both players have a strong desire to play at Barcelona, so they no longer consider the financial factors that are being experienced by Barcelona.

I don’t think that Barcelona player’s were demotivated they just didn’t have the right coach, and under Xavi they’re a powerhouse once again. Also not all took a pay cut as some player’s refused last year, and now the veterans are refusing to take another pay cuts and I feel that Barcelona should not pressure them, and they should try and find funds elsewhere.

This is evident for their pre-season matches even though there is no Lewandowski but their productivity is really good although it still can't be used as a benchmark in my opinion.
At the moment Naglesmann has really made Mane fill in the position left by Lewa and this is still going well with the goal he scored in the friendly but it looks like he has to work hard now.
I guess there is not much you have to do with a player like Mane is to get him integrated into a team , specialy for Bayern Munich.
I would be not surprised if we will see Mane on the Lewandowski position , Gnabry and Mane looks also a good combination for what i have seen.

Mane is a wing player so he is not an actual striker so i dont if he can fill that role 100%. Maybe Muller will play the striker position now but i still think they need to sign a striker. Both gnabry and mane are wing players aswell as sane. Bayern munich needs a striker and fast
He is not only a wing player , he can play more positions and he already said in some interview " He will play every position where the coach will want me , but not as a goalkeeper "

@Lafu Bayern can do what Manchester City did last season i.e. play a false 9 in each and every match, and ask other player’s to step up and score goals for the team. Also it’ll be really interesting if they can convert Mane into a full time striker, because I feel that Mane will eventually settle in that new role and score many goals for Bayern.

Well here how I think how the top 6 teams in will stand in order at the end of the 22/23 season  Grin

Manchester City
Chelsea
Liverpool
Manchester United

-----
Tottenham Hotspur
Arsenal

-----

I think Liverpool will suffer without Mane but ten Hag will have a positive impact at Manchester United. At the same time Tuchel will try to elevate Chelsea to another level.
I don't see Manchester City becoming the next English premier league Champions this season , though they got good team and Coach including every other things needed for a club to lift the trophy or be the Champions , reason is that Manchester City/ Pep Guardiola main interest/focus is in the UEFA champions League and they're working acidiously to achieve that with their recent signings of players like Erling Harland ,So lifting that trophy will be there main target come this season. Therefore I see either Liverpool or Chelsea on leaderboard to becoming the next English premier league Champions.

@JollyGood Arsenal have brought some amazing player’s and so has Tottenham in this current transfer window, hence I would not underestimate these two sides. @Franctoshi Manchester City are the favourites for me as they have the most stable squad, plus with Halland they’re now guaranteed to score lots of goals hence I just can’t see any other team beating them for the title.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 21, 2022, 04:16:34 AM

The signing of Dybala became a special attraction for As S Roma, where they brought in players who were already familiar with Serie A. Even though Dybala's performances at Juventus have decreased, but I believe at AS Roma he will come back again like the Dybala we know before. I feel the competition this time in Serie A will be even more different, in a competitive sense again.

By the way I see Nicolo Zaniolo get offer from Spurs, I think Mourinho needs one more striker as a form of preparation and to complete Roma's because I believe Mourinho is target the UCL position next season. Dybala's arrival gives Roma a little hope, but besides that there are concerns with the news of Zaniolo, although Zaniolo has not been impressive but he is quite active in every Roma match. It's get harder to see napoli and juventus will work hard not to get eliminated out from the top of the table, I'm looking forward to mourinho's next strategy
Zaniolo is still a bone of contention for the big clubs today and when Tottenham are now in the hunt for it obviously makes competition for this player even tougher for clubs looking to lure him.
But I think Tottenham will be very difficult now to bring in Zaniolo.
In terms of money it is clear this season they will be a little overwhelmed considering they have also spent a lot of money there.
Until now Zaniolo is still priced at 50 million Euros.

@Jody.Drummer I was particularly surprised when this news broke out, because I see Dybala as a player that can play in the world’s best teams, and for him to give up champions league football says a lot about Mourinho’s vision and charm which made him sign up for Roma. Furthermore I think that Roma will finish in top 4 this season, and then target the title next season with probably more recruits in the future transfer windows.

According to the news on AS, Atletico Madrid have already contacted Ronaldo's representatives for a deal. He is getting closer to Atletico Madrid day by day. This is going to make Manchester United fans really disappointed because they must be waiting for him to stay at least one more season. I was also expecting this to happen but he suddenly changed his mind after not qualifying for the Champions League. I don't expect Manchester United to make difficulties for his transfer either.

https://en.as.com/soccer/cristiano-ronaldo-insists-on-leaving-manchester-united-and-keen-on-atletico-madrid-move-n/

Manchester United takes no trouble and lets Ronaldo do what he wants. But does Ronaldo really want to play for Atlético?
For a football player who wants to become a champion in the Champions League, teams like Chelsea can be a much better alternative.
Maybe Ronaldo wants to show his strength and achieve great results with Atlético despite his age Smiley

Except Chelsea don't want him either, so if the news was true, his last option would be Atletico Madrid if he really wants to play in champions league. However, I doubt United will easily release him tho, Ten Haag has made statements several times, that he wants Ronaldo in his team, but again that might be just to calm the public for Ronaldo absence in pre-season, I could say that United fans really love ronaldo.

I don’t know which Manchester United fan is waiting for him to come back, because I’m not and finally the club can lay down the rule that no player is bigger then the club. Furthermore have you even seen how brilliantly Manchester United are without him in the preseason, and these performances remind me of the good old days hence it’ll be good for everyone if he leaves, because there’s no way he can play in Ten Hag system without slowing the team down.

Did you guys see Rublev's press conference? Mainly he talked about possibility to change nationality so he can play all tournaments. He got hit hard with ban at Wimbledon and he says if some other tournaments go that route he will have to consider changing nationality.

Furthermore he said that russian players tried everything to lift the ban. There was one interesting idea that they take ukranian players as double partners but nothing worked in the end. Really courius if those ukrainian players thought this was good idea. Sort of feels like they would have got some bad press at home if it came to fruition.

did not heard about it, but interesting story, have to say, did he mentioned Medvedev as well (somehow I do think the have difference stance towards on-going situation)

idea to play with Ukranian partner in doubles looks good just on the paper, it is easy to manipulate it within mass media, in a way you want
having to change nationality is a radical step for him, but he probably wants to play and he is not interested in supporting politicians

@Trofo why would the Ukraine player’s even consider this, and to be honest it’s a blatant PR attempt to get some sympathy because deep down even he knew that this idea would never work out. Also let’s say that hypothetically he applied for a change of citizenship which country would accept it?, because currently no country would like to associate with Russians, hence I feel that he would have had a hard time finding a county that’s willing to accept his request.

PSG had good news regarding Presnel Kimpembe that for next season he has decided to stayed at PSG although in the last few days he was linked to Chelsea because Tuchel want him but he showed his commitment with refuse the offers from Chelsea so i think this is good because he is important player for PSG and last season he playing well to guard PSG defensive line but on the other hand new rumours about Neymar appears again today that his agent offering him to premier League team Manchester City

@bering there’s been constant rumours about PSG trying to offload Neymar, because Mbappe doesn’t want him at the club and I’m not surprised that City turned him down because they already have Halland now. Furthermore I wonder if Neymar can be swapped for Ronaldo, and I know that there’s a very slim chance of this happening but we seen crazier transfers before, hence I believe that this swap deal can actually happen if both player’s reduce their salaries.

Tamim Iqbal is not too old. He could easily have continued playing in the T20 format for another 3/4 years. But I don't understand why he is thinking of retiring now. Bangladesh is yet to find a suitable replacement for Tamim Iqbal. There is no good opener in any Bangladesh squad. So if Tamim Iqbal retires now then the Bangladesh team will definitely face a problem. Tamim should be with the team for the next World Cup.
Tamim Iqbal is one of the best product from Bangladesh in cricket, and he plays some good innings for his country which was honor for player like him and if he announces this then surely we need to respect his decision because he feels in this way which is good for youngsters, and he wants to concentrate on two formats which is also good for him after the worst start of West Indian tour then end in amazing way which is surely a proud moment for Bangladesh cricket now they are second in ODI League table behind England which is another milestone for them.

Even he already announces about retirement from T20i but still he needs to give one favor and if he announces after T-20 world cup this could be better, but he already announces so no one can do anything right now with his decision.
Tamim Iqbal is a very nice player. But bangladesh team has always remained in criticism.
If he has done this decision - we must respect his decision.

I feel that it’s a step in the right direction, because he hasn’t played T20 since March 2020 for Bangladesh and now the team can prepare accordingly as the speculation regarding his involvement in the T20 format has ended. Furthermore the only regret I have is why didn’t he wait for the T20 World Cup because he could have easily participated in it, but in the end I feel that this is a gutsy call choosing ODI & Test matches over T20.

England - South Africa

The first ODI match between England vs South Africa will be played today. Both teams will play 3 ODIs, 3 T20s and 3 Test matches in this series. After a humiliating series defeats against India, England will need a win against South Africa today. South Africa played their last ODI series against Bangladesh, and South Africa lost the series. And so in this series, I consider England as the favorite.
I don't how much bilateral series are they (England and India) going to play on regular basis. Their respective cricket boards are not in mood of any rest at all. They just finished their series against each other and already started preparation for new ones. India also travelling somewhere for another white ball series.

No wonder Ben stokes took retirement from ODI format.

@JSRAW his retirement is a huge loss not only for England but for the fans too, I for one will definitely miss him in the ODI format and I’m sincerely praying that he continues in other formats for a long while now. Furthermore South Africa seems to have a stable start as they have scored 72 runs in 13 overs for the loss of one wicket, but if England can get few quick wickets now then that’ll definitely put SA under pressure and give England a chance to win this game easily.
