I think that all crypto casinos will gradually switch to identity verification.  All casinos that work with fiat money already work this way.  If you are asked to submit a photo for KYC, draw a watermark on your image.  This will help protect your data from fraudsters.

It’s impossible to put watermark on your KYC photo because KYC company wont accept it unless it clear and visible. I don’t understand too why having a watermark will make you protect your data while the picture of your ID is attached to the personal info that you submit to the casino which means all your info is already exposed once casino kyc system got breached.

I agree that casino will have no choice but to follow the regulations even with strict implementation of KYC if they want to make there business alive. Casino has a gambling license which means they are tied by the law.
Watermarks wont really change a thing nor really able to avoid on what you do have in mind and its mentioned that once its given then you wont really be having any choice since those info and image
is exposed and we know that watermark wont really do a thing thats why if you dont really like  KYC then its just wise for you to skip particular gambling sites who do ask about it and its true that
these platforms are regulated which means that they would really be following governments orders and wont tend to go against it.

Just been said that there are lots of options to take since not all platforms in the market today are asking for verification which means that there's still some option left and isnt really much a problem
or issue nowadays but sooner or later then it would really be having that way.

I have once said before I believe last month that KYC shouldn't be a problem for gamblers if the casino is trustworthy and they still doing its best to keep the record intact which I believe is a sign of the casino's devotion to its users but I guess some people will still make a big deal while they can easily do it on centralized exchange whereas most of them lack good security and devotion this day.
KYC or not, like it or not, accept it or not, you decide.

Roobet does not decide it for you.
Honestly, this is what I always tell people and I am happy to see someone that understands that the KYC thing is something that's beyond the casino's power and once the casino Master license holder introduces a rule and regulation the casino must comply.

If you like the casino and believe in their reputation, love their games, trust their payout systems, security and privacy protection for users, you would not have much issue with KYC.
Yes, I will always choose to gamble on a casino that guarantees their game is fair and my winning will payout than going after no KYC casino that will scam their user.

This is what I don't get to people, they are afraid to do KYC but they almost expose their whole life on social media. As long as the casino is reputable and you don't have criminal records that could alert the authorities then it should not be a problem complying on their rules. Criminals can't just use your identity if you limit what you post on the internet. Casino's usually just ask for your complete name, address, and a valid id to prove it. I don't think that is enough for someone to use your identity for their bad intentions.

Probably they still believe that cryptocurrency should remain decentralized which included being anonymous. We are in a different situation now, we all want the adoption to happen but in order to achieve that, we should accept that regulation is a key and with that said, expect that KYC will slowly implement later on. I'm wondering if those people really trust their banks, they think their personal details is safe with the bank well in fact, they are also selling that information.

@xSkylarx people with criminal records can still do KYC is he/she funds is from a good source and never abuse the casino rules and regulations. About, social media, I believe some people never wake up to the fact social media is one of the number one platforms that makes them vulnerable.
@Johnyz You have a point and people have to accept the fact that if we want every crypto related business or activity to grow there will be some certain sacrifice.

How can a casino say or prove that the money he's using is from a good source if the person already has criminal records? It's like saying the authorities won't arrest a criminal on an airport that is trying to escape because he doesn't violate any rules within the area.

If a casino allows him to play on their platform then they are risking their business that could result to a permanent closure once authorities knew it.

I think a user needs to understand that with so many gambling regulations in place, and many more to come Roobet has no option but to strictly apply KYC rules and if a user doesn’t like it then they should not deposit their funds there simple.

@xSkylarx totally agree with you because there’s no way for Roobet to find out if the user who has a past criminal record is now using clean funds, hence it’ll make sense if they decide to ban such user’s right away for their own safety.

Well said, but does the criminal record history of the player really matter that much to be able to play on casino? I mean, if the record was already years or some decades ago, will it still be a factor of them to not be able to withdraw or play to the site? We know that there could be people that has been tagged as criminal even though they are just wrongly accused.

I'm still curious on how can they spot those deposits that came from illegal transactions.

You are talking nonsense, just because someone has bad reputation in the past doesn't mean everything that they do right now is incriminated.

And why the freakin Roobet must verify their users of its criminal records.

There is some institution that deems bitcoin as non-fungible, and here Roobet as a business should comply with whatever the license or law that applied within its supported jurisdiction, which is why there are KYC and AML policies. If you don't like it and want to preserve your privacy, then simply get out.

Same thought. Criminal records is just a history of a person doing an illegal thing. As long as the gambler has no standing case or have fled it's punishment's, I think it won't bring a harm to any casino. I'm pretty sure that there are land based casinos who are allowing ex-convict to play at their casino. I have known because I have seen one (politician)  Roll Eyes. Also, I think that there aren't any casino that are straight up verifying the criminal records of every customer they have KYC'd.

Thats a personal thing which i dont really see for these platforms or businesses to make themselves involved on whats the past of their users in regarding with criminal activities or something in related.

As long those things are already resolved and they had chosen up to play into their place then i dont see for them to be prohibited or some sort.It is really just people are way too judgemental for them
to think off that these fellas could cause up some troubles but on general sense if they hang out just to have some gameplay then just let them be.

Business is business and personal things is something  that these businessowners wont really care as long they do shell out money then that what surely counts.

this KYC issue is something very serious and sensitive, I'll give an example that happened to me on this forum a few weeks ago:

a few weeks ago (if memory doesn't betray me it was less than 3 weeks ago) a new casino came on this forum and it was offering a 5$ bonus, so I created an account at this new casino (they didn't have KYC and that's why I didn't do KYC) , I played on plink and turned the 5$ into 13$ and then I lost everything, the next day I went to read my emails and I am surprised to receive spam emails talking about promotion of this new casino that gave me 5$, the dangerous part is that it is not it was the casino's email address, it was a private email address or either the casino either sold my data or was hacked and someone took the emails of all users. Now imagine if I had KYC in this new casino that offered a 5$ bonus? at this hour I wouldn't be sleeping well I'm so scared thinking what some criminal would do with my data

This is why you should still choose a casino on where you can fully trust with regards to KYC.

Again, this is a Roobet thread and better to discuss the platform here instead of other things. KYC is already part of Roobet, let’s admit that and move on. If you are still not ok with this then better go for another site and feel free to play with them.

Found this on their TOS page.

They said you need a consent directly from Roobet so it would be better to not use it at all to avoid future issues.

Usually online casinos don't really allow the use of vpn on their platforms but there are few others that allow it so if you really need to use it to gamble, you should ask about it first on their customer support.

It's better to avoid it if you don't want to be a problem in the future and look for other solutions for your area I'm sure there are so many sportsbooks then look for other platforms, but if you want to be on Roobet as stated above, you have to ask for direct support approval whether it's allowed or not but it's true that you say VPN services have limits operating in each region.

So contact directly for @brandonlang so you know the reason.

I agree, VPN is just a short stack solution that would come back and bite you in the behind if you are not careful. There is a whole list on which nations could play and which can't, and if your nation is in the list of where you shouldn't come from then it wouldn't really be a wise idea to use VPN and make sure that it goes wrong.

If you insist on doing that which would result with a situation where you would gamble in a place that you shouldn't and that would be eventually getting caught and then Roobet would have to terminate the account and keep your money and then if asked by any authority would end up with something that would be a big of a trouble for you in the end.

When you are restricted then it would really be just common sense that you shouldnt be here on the first place and if you do insist then you would really be having that option on using up VPN but of course you arent

that dumb on not to know on what are the particular risk once the site would caught you out and also you might be facing some violations specially if you do  came on a restricted country but it is unlikely to happen

though but if you could able to bare the risk then go ahead and play using VPN but dont whine and cry whenever the time comes that you would be experiencing some problems within the site.
We do have our own will on making out decisions whether it would really be good or bad for us and we arent that dumb on not to presume out those probabilities for those things to happen.

People insist to play on site while they ban the access in their country is hard headed, and when they blame the casino once they got restricted because they do so and cry out here. So best to follow what the site rules because its a warning not to violate any of this since for sure we will encounter a huge issue that we might not accept.
