1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN DEMAND EXPLODE IN INDIA on: June 27, 2017, 02:50:38 AM
500000 user a day is huge number.India is bilion people country but most of India is agriculture. That India middle class is relativelly small. On other hands India has many people advanced and working IT industry
Propably wil be similar story like it was in China
Probably but there is a big difference, in India there is not a government like the one in China so I suppose they have a greater degree of freedom, so the options here could help adoption or hinder it since they are not looking to protect themselves as badly as the Chinese from their own government.
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: June 26, 2017, 03:56:29 AM
Why wait?
If you really dont know what could happen then make the decision right now.
Regret will only come at the end when the price goes higher at that time.
There will be so much "what if's" right now but if you think it through, even if the price goes down at the said date after that it will still increase so there is not much of a change. Patience will be the key.
Why wait? Because the op is unsure of what to do, we are going to either get a huge pump or a huge dump and there does not seem to be an indication of what we are going to get, so it is reasonable to wait, instead of taking a decision in a hurry.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the future of bitcoin will look like on: June 26, 2017, 03:42:55 AM
I think the future of bitcoin is still uncertain, I think the chances of bitcoin being successful are higher than are the chances of total failure, but to be honest there is still lots of things that could go wrong, bitcoin is still too young and we do not know for sure if the concept is going to be eventually adopted by the average person.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 26, 2017, 03:16:53 AM
Gambling is so addicting because everyone wants to win and expect winning. Most of gamblers become addicting because they know they will win and dream of become rich when they lucky in jackpot. Gambling is addicting becomes once they win they attracted in a big price. In gambling there always an opportunity and earn money instant. Most gamblers try their best to gamble even if lose always and never give up to bet and believe can win a jackpot. Most people wants gamble because gambling gives enjoyment this is the reason why gambling is addicting. Gambling is so addicting because people love to make money and love to win.
The jackpot prize sometime is the main reasons why people wants to gamble, if the prize is really convincing for sure a lot of people would love to try to play gambling, so the ending, you will get addicted even if you are not winning at all because of the excitement and the entertainment that gives gambling game to you.
This is not really surprising, how many people buy a lottery ticket thinking they are going to become rich, when the chances of that happening are extremely low and when you warn them about it you get the usual response that someone wins the lottery everyday, it seems many people are unable to understand basic odds and probabilities.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: June 26, 2017, 03:13:43 AM
If you have any more than 3+ bitcoins (which I think should be spread across multiple hot wallets if you need to move funds frequently), I think it's best practice to have several hardware wallets. With prices where they are at now (and where they could be in the future), if you have 10+, 50+, or 100+, you ABSOLUTELY NEED them spread across hardware wallets.

You definitely do no want them all in Coinbase, BitPay, Corcle, etc.

Trezor are definitely good
Trezors are worth every single penny but I think it is cheaper to just use paper wallets, using something like a trezor is only worth it if you have above 10BTC, to me a hardware wallet like that is only cost effective to those that have a number of coins to protect and that need to move frequently.
1546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: June 25, 2017, 04:54:11 AM
For me, ethereum is in a bubble, but that doesn't mean that if the bubble pops, ETH would crash so much than it would disappear of our minds.

That's why I'm always thinking ETH could drop below 100~150$ this year. This wouldn't kill it, but this could let a chance for those who missed the train to come in.

Anyway to see these prices again, BTC has to crash a little bit too.
There are many things that could happen, if ETH crashed all that money needs to go somewhere, maybe it goes to fiat but maybe it goes to bitcoin, we cannot know that, but bitcoin could crash too if for some reason there is a split on the network.
1547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reaching 3000 usd after 3 weeks on: June 25, 2017, 04:50:52 AM
I'm curious, why when the price reached $2900 and then drop again, it looks like prices are $3000 difficult to achieve in the near future, probably need at least 3 more months, after reaching $3000 the the next target is $5000.
Those round numbers are always a physiological barrier, since for some time the goals is not going to be reached and many traders will setup their bots to sell when close to that mark and then reaching that price becomes even harder, but at some point the demand is going to be there and we are going to surpass that price.
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ICO are you watching next? for me BAT, TEZOS and STATUS on: June 24, 2017, 03:41:06 AM
How about tenx, solarcontract and populous?  These all look good to me.

TenX seems like a good project. dunno the other 2
I have not read the white paper but TenX seems very similar to Monaco and the first thing that I thought when I saw those projects was, why they need to create a token when they only seem to be another card that you can use with your crypto?
1549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bot Performance on: June 24, 2017, 03:34:37 AM
it is not a hard thing to implement in a bot. the bot that you said you are using may even have it already. post its name here so we can help or ask the owners of that bot how you can do it.

it is either a simple keeping of a log from all your trades. or a simple API call to the exchange API and asking for your trade history. and then you can export it in different formats such as .csv and open in excell.

@vitaliy_www
you either gave a wrong link or the link you posted contained a malware instead of a bot and was removed!
Basically this, the bot must have a log, detailing each trade, then the only thing you need to do is to extract that information in an excel spreadsheet so you are able to see what trades make you the most amount of money and which ones lost money.
1550  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 24, 2017, 03:31:15 AM
It is very possible that we will see bitcoin lower than 1000$ price again it might not be soon but im sure we will see it again in the next few years. The price right now is very high and we have seen that bitcoin can go up and down like crazy from 600$ to 1200$ or from 1100$ to below 1000$ so even if bitcoin price right now is 2000$+, we might see 1000$ price or lower again.
No that is  impossible that the price of bitcoin will going to lower than 1000$ because day by day the knowledge of bitcoin is spreading in among the peoples so its price will goes to 1000$ that is impossible because people can invest their money in bitcoin in this case the price will goes to increase and I think its price will not goes to lower than 2000$ or 22000$ and its will be more increase.
Bitcoin is depending on the demand in the market so if something goes wrong in bitcoin then it will affect the demand of the people in the market and can damage the price that can be lower than $1000 or worst $100 so i think we should not be that confident because we can't control bitcoin to be just stable in the certain price that we want.
Right now bitcoin is at great risk due to the great controversy regarding the scaling issue, if we were not in the middle of this controversy I would not have thought about the possibility of losing that much value, but with the uncertainty it is possible this could happen in the near future.
1551  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: June 24, 2017, 03:27:42 AM
Bankers can not influence the situation with bitcoin. Bankers can take an unlimited amount of Fiat money, but to have access to bitcoin they can't. Besides who wants to borrow in bitcoins if the price can rise to it. Such a loan can result in bankruptcy.
this is really complicated to differentiate between bitcoin and bankers. I think both have a different aspect, bankers are basically involved in the traditional banking and bitcoin is involved with the virtual area, but in the future, bankers also will deal with bitcoin.
Yea, bankers will have to deal with bitcoin in the future but bankers can not change the situation in bitcoins. Bitcoin is anonymous while banks is not, both of them has a different aspect concerning about the volatility in both areas.
Neither bitcoins or banks are anonymous, banks will require lots of information before they even allow you to even open an account, in bitcoin this is not the case but every single transaction is there for everyone to see, in the other hand banks only allow yourself and the authorities to see your transactions.
1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS] Google Bought Blockchain.info on: June 24, 2017, 03:23:06 AM
Lol. You can't own the blockchain. That's the entire point of Bitcoin so noone controls it and it is decentralized. You talking about Google centralizing the blockchain. You can see this is nonsense news I even knew it would be just reading the title. What is the point of creating this thread ? FUD ? Market control ?

Crypto is going mainstream.

This is the last call to get cheap BTC, ETH, or any crypto really.

We have now passed the rubicon.

This is true for the current situation. We need to diversify our capital into different categories before the train take off. 2k usd for bitcoin looks expensive now, but in the future, it could be a dream price.

It's always a good time to buy bitcoins !!  Grin
First of all the thread title is mistaken Google has not bought blockchain.info, an investment was made on blockchain, info by some investors that are related to Google, second you must have read the news wrong since we are not talking about the blockchain but about blockchain.info.
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: June 23, 2017, 03:15:26 AM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked
Impossible, just look around, even if the dollar is incredible powerful it has not come to become the sole currency of the world, or look at bitcoin, bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency in the world, there are many coins trying to usurp the first spot that bitcoin holds, so there is always going to be money issued by governments.
1554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to learn how to trade on: June 23, 2017, 03:01:31 AM
I know this may seem like something that is easy to find with google but I am having a difficult time finding a good forum or website where trading strategy is the primary goal and I can improve my skills. I used to play online poker and stopped after Black Friday.

My question is are there any websites that are like the 2+2 forums, card runners or deucescracked etc.? Where have you gone to learn about daytrading cryptocurrencies?

I got into this a little over a month and half ago and while I am up because of just a lucky decision or two I am quickly going to lose my ass if I don't figure out some sort of effective strategy.

In short, I suck at this and really need some help.

Thanks

Edit: Before someone replies I just want to throw this out there, I'm pretty sure this is a good website to learn about coins and what not and I come here everyday but I have a very hard time sorting through the bullshit. Obviously this place might be a great place but I might be in the wrong sections.
You seem to be looking for a way to study technical analysis, just buy a good book about it and read it, you are not going to find a lot about trading altcoins because many altcoins don’t have the volume to be able to be analyzed with technical analysis anyway.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN DEMAND EXPLODE IN INDIA on: June 23, 2017, 02:58:27 AM
This is interesting. Quite an overwhelming demand truly but why the sudden rush? I see this kinda development causing great upsurge in the price of bitcoin. Maybe I am just the only one thinking this, but isn't this purchase rate alarming? Hope it is just an attempt to invest or probably there is something some of us do not know?

The price hasnt got less in India as far as my friends are telling, people thought the price is gonna fall and will be great opportunity to invest in BTC. Zebpay is using this situation for themselves, the price is around 2850$+ now and it holding that place from 2 days now.

From what you and others are telling Zebpay is fleecing your compatriots bigtime.
Paying an extra 300$ at the moment of writing this or around 15% premium for buying btc is nonsense.

Why would you even do it?
There are so many ways in which you can get bitcoins I don't understand people that go and buy at this price or people that use atms and their sky high fees.
They do not know better but you must remember these kind of things happens when there is a mania remember the Tulip mania back in the day, something similar happened, so this is nothing more than history once again repeating itself and humans are unable to see it.
1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: June 23, 2017, 02:55:42 AM
Bitcoin has proven to be sound as gold/fiat currencies if not more sound. It is faster to move arround, it is backing more than 600 other cryptocurrencies, Its value has increase over the years at an exponential rate and only downside with Bitcoin is that it is deflatory

Well many are treating it already as a digital gold and we can't deny that it is a digital money. So the sound of money in bitcoin is reliable and it's a fact. And as a crpyto currency bitcoin can be use for purchasing different things online that makes it a legitimate money. Another plus factor of it is it's a good investment.
The last factor that you name, is in my opinion the most revealing when it comes to decide if bitcoin is sound money or not, holding fiat is a bad investment you lose purchase power every year, but with bitcoin this is not the case and this proves bitcoin is sound money.

No, bitcoin can not be called money. He has more functions than money. Bitcoin can be used in various fields. And technology blockchain is a very unique technology that will improve the life of every person
Bitcoin is money, there is no way around that, that was the intended purpose of satoshi when he created bitcoin so it dos not matter if bitcoin can do a lot more than that, and by the way it can, but bitcoin fits completely the definition of money in a way not even gold can.
1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can't buy something with Bitcoin quickly on: June 22, 2017, 03:56:21 AM
For exemple, I go to a coffee shop, I buy a coffee, then I pay with Bitcoin, we have to wait for a confirmation, no? or the merchant will just trust me if I show my wallet?
How can we be sure that it's not a double spent transaction or something else?
At this moment something like that is a problem, some may say that you could include an higher fee, but the fees are very high at the moment you may end up paying more from the fee than the coffee, so for now there is not a good solution to that problem.
1558  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my bitcoins ? on: June 22, 2017, 03:54:24 AM
Hello everyone,
I would like that each one participates in sharing the different sites shopping online (International) that accept the bitcoin, as well as different ways to spend BTC, thank you.
You can buy whatever you want with your bitcoins, even if you cannot buy directly with bitcoins, you can buy gift cards or use some services like purse.io and then get whatever product you want, it is really simple, also you get the goods section in this forum that offers some products at good prices.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 22, 2017, 03:50:42 AM
Because Gambling gave them such a sense of euphoria that they yearn to feel again.
Yes it gives us a kind of energy that we cant resist. Gamblin is kind of a drug that keeps us to get attached on it. When we gambled we feel so happy and we fee so contended in everything. We feel so great when we gambled but when we stops gambling we may feel so depressed and feel that we have been having a sick. So we  need to gamble to gain energy.
You are describing very precisely the way someone that is addicted to gambling feels, that is the way they get their happiness and as soon as they stop gambling they feel empty and they have a necessity to keep playing, to them it is no longer about fun or the money it is about what they feel.
1560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this State important to uncovering Satoshi on: June 22, 2017, 03:47:48 AM
Those that are hunting satoshi do so in an effort to become famous themselves, they say that the one that fins satoshi will win a Pulitzer and to be honest I think they are right, so this is not about solving a mystery or anything like that this is about money and fame.
If that's the case they are better off not finding satoshi at all because if all had known his/her/they're real identity, it will not just remove his/her/they're privacy but also it will put the real satoshi to harm's way. They don't care about satoshi though so I think it's better off if satoshi will be anonymous forever, the important thing for me is that he brought bitcoin to us, a crypto currency to use on online transactions and a way to pay others online.
That is what I think as well, since they do not care about the well being of satoshi and the possible consequences in his life like the lose of anonymity and even penal charges, but I think satoshi did a good enough job at hiding from anyone that may try to find him.
