Good to know. I just change the password again. Better safe than sorry...
15502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future Forks.. on: July 15, 2015, 11:41:36 AM
For now there are much more important issues to fix, to make blockchain be ready for much bigger transaction volumes.
There was brought in many places that since there were (and are!) a lot of valid transactions still unconfirmed since the last test/attack, the miners just go forward focusing on getting the block fee and not caring much of confirming as much as possible (of course, by the user fee).

Then the block size may come into discussion.

The problems you stated may be valid but the current devs will be dead and buried long before such problems will arise and then why bother, really?
15503  Economy / Economics / Re: Greek crisis on: July 15, 2015, 09:25:16 AM
I don't know if the food will be fresh or will exist at all.
Why not!

I've read that the stocks of flour are not great, I've read that some hotels said - about one week ago - that their food supplies are for one more week only.
A rather big part of the food use to come - from any country - from other countries. This is what supermarket chains do. And since the money control, this may be somehow disrupted.

However, I am also sure there will be no problems with the Feta and the fish supply, so the situation is not that bad Smiley

I don't know if the VAT will rise until I'll get there.
Yes, the VAT is increasing 10%!

Allright. Starting when?

I am scared that there may come strikes and there will be no place where to buy gas (already had that experience once, about 5 years ago).
So far there is no large strikes!

They don't announce them so much ahead, so .. yeah, there's some risk. But I plan to refill in Macedonia and whenever I can, to be on the safe side.
15504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin enthusiasts in Greece call for “Plan B”, spread leaflets about bitcoin on: July 15, 2015, 09:02:34 AM
“I was surprised by the interest. I've never dealt flyers before but I know that in my country 8/10 people don't bother reading handouts ever. Here people even came towards me to get a copy. Lots of questions were asked and answered,” says bitcoin-traveler.

This is the interesting part.
Some will buy and hold Bitcoin, it will become the bank they can rely on.
15505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin and Greece: a new beginning? on: July 15, 2015, 08:59:35 AM
1. Bitcoin needs steady growth, not another bubble.
2. Greece as a country has no benefit in Bitcoin, they need either a loan, either a coin they can make inflation on. Some of the Greeks though, may find Bitcoin as a safe investment of their money and a way to export the money while the "capital control". However, I don't see a big scale for this movement because the capital control may be lifted until the end of the week and most people are still stuck to 50? Euro/day.
15506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Counterfeiting bitcoin on: July 15, 2015, 08:53:47 AM
What if someone made exact copy of bitcoin? Exactly the same way bitcoin works and created new bitcoins. Would the miners see it and not let the transations trough or is this possible?

If in another city lives somebody that looks like you and wears the same clothes as you, when he goes to his home, will your dog recognize him as being you?
Nope, especially because your dog is in your home in your city, so they will never meet. (And also because the dogs use their nose, not their eyes, but that's another story.)

I hope that's clearer now.
15507  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 15, 2015, 08:45:36 AM
The strange reality is that I waited until it rose back to 300+ (then get back down) to make me think more serious of buying.
Maybe the fact it showed it can get back to its place made me think like this, however, the 100$ scenario doesn't stand.
15508  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Pay pal selling on: July 15, 2015, 08:41:37 AM
I've had some money on my PP which I received and with not much of chance to spend in the near future.
But since people are afraid of selling for PP (and I surely understand why!) and since I don't trust anybody (meaning that I wouldn't have gone first), I just used an established business to do the conversion (actually 2 of them - wesellcrypto and poloniex).
This is a sad story, I know. The shitty ToS of PP just seems to help the scammers...
15509  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guys PLease fast answer this - is the private key all i need to control BTCs? on: July 14, 2015, 02:41:00 PM
To read your balance or to receive bitcoin the address is enough.
To send bitcoin (which means for most of us actual control) then you need your private key.

One easy way to use this is to create a file with content = a line like:

xxxxxxx 2015-07-14T14:25:22Z

where xxxxxx is your private key and import it into Multibit.

Edit: file name is whatever.key
15510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most undervalued coin? on: July 14, 2015, 11:07:56 AM
How about Fibre? I have rather mixed feelings about it, still I think that it worth mentioning since XMR and XMG are already there.
15511  Economy / Gambling / Re: freebit.co.in multiplay system on: July 14, 2015, 10:36:43 AM
Just lost 0.55 btc. I divided my whole amount to 2 milion parts that is only 27 sathoshis per roll and i put it on autobeting whole night but i had 21 consecutive loses on "double your bet on lose" thing.  I thought that there is no chance to lose 21 consecutive time but i guess there is.fuck me,fuck freebit.co.in fuck everything. Are they really "provably fair" or thats a crap?

As most people said, Martingale (double bet on lose) doesn't work, it's not related to provably fair.
Gambling means that if you have infinite money, you have almost 50% chance to not lose them  Smiley
15512  Economy / Economics / Re: Greek crisis on: July 14, 2015, 10:33:54 AM
DO you think Greek crisis is good tourism? Will the Greek crisis make travel there cheaper ? Will the economic turmoil in Greece frighten or attract tourists?

I can tell you that I will leave to Greece for holiday and I am rather scared.

I don't know if the food will be fresh or will exist at all.
I don't know if the VAT will rise until I'll get there.
I am scared that there may come strikes and there will be no place where to buy gas (already had that experience once, about 5 years ago).
And let's not talk about the state of their medical system, I really hope to not get there...

So the damage is done, the tourists are more frightened.

Go and make your own picture. What you see is just the media, bad news travels fast. Go for culture, Greece is amazing.

As i said, I will go. A lot of people cancelled their holidays, but I didn't.
I has in Greece 3 times already, so I am more confident than others. But, as I stated, I still have ... some fears on this subject.
15513  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hate myself -_- on: July 13, 2015, 06:33:58 PM
So I was able to make an income from the internet (wohoo) $50 in more than three months actually which is a good start since I'm a beginner I was very proud of myself ,until I saw that bitcoin was rising yesterday and I bought what I could buy with that $50 than I woke up today and voila an easy way to lose money.

should I sell and take the smallest damage or keep and risk of losing more ?

You should not invest (or gamble) the money you don't afford to lose. You already broke this rule.
You also don't have the guts to follow the movements and turn them into cash.

My conclusion would be that you should cash out as soon as you can and leave Bitcoin.
If (or when!) Bitcoin will get really big, you will hate me. But if you act like this after a 4$ lose, you will leave bitcoin sooner or later.

Why does Dwarfpool send with mix value zero?

They are not in the official list of pools, I think that this is not the only thing they are "doing wrong".

I think that you found the more effective advertising to PD than the sig campaings Smiley
15517  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Grexit, Bitcoin Price Tumbles on: July 13, 2015, 02:47:38 PM
Man they must of withdrawn billions in toilet paper .. Even then they were running out ... With 60 Euro a day allowance = 66 USD  how was it possible to withdraw billions?!?! More like hundreds of millions to possibly lower billion dollars but more than that would of been almost impossible (they couldn't make 1.8 billion euro payment to imf) ... so yah =] .... and EURO is VERY VERY strong just think of it they have GDP equal to USA and CHINA the TOP 3 ECONOMIES ... no way Euro can fail just because a tiny Greece fails ... Like I said it's a fart in the wind ... It stinks now but goes away =]

The 60 EUR/day allowance is only since about 2 weeks ago. Before that there was a withdrawal frenzy. Just search a little. One of the first results is this http://leaprate.com/9BjDQ (I could find better, but I think that this is just fine).
You are mixed up between Greece's money, Greece's debt and Greek people's personal money.

EURO economy is... what exactly? Euro zone is made of countries that are allowed to decide for themselves. If tomorrow they all decide to split up and use their old currencies, EUR will become just another currency for .. enthusiasts (or, you could tell toilet paper). And the tiny fart called Greece can start that process.
15518  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Grexit, Bitcoin Price Tumbles on: July 13, 2015, 02:29:52 PM
I think you just fried my brain , I'm checking for a nose bleed right now as I try to logically figure out your statement X_X LOLS (//EndSarcasm)

additional note Greece only accounted for roughly 2% of the euro's annual GDP ... not even a fart in the wind to the Euro so it shouldn't "dramatically drop"  and also you mention "bitcoin as an asset at hand to buy" GREEK citizens couldn't EVEN GET MONEY because they HAD NO MONEY LEFT ... How were they suppose to buy bitcoins? [Insert jerk response here]

... anyways  Cool story bro ...

You are a wonderful bag of silliness. Quite entertaining to read  Grin
Euro group fought hard to keep Greece inside not because their GDP, which, as you also stated, means nothing for EU. It's the TRUST. If markets lose TRUST in EUR project, the coin will fall.
About NO MONEY LEFT ... you know, that's way different from NO MONEY. They withdrew BILLIONS of EUR from ATMs. That money didn't vanish. The ones that have it may want to further secure that wealth.
15519  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Grexit, Bitcoin Price Tumbles on: July 13, 2015, 02:00:31 PM
In case of Grexit, bitcoin would have reached a new peak, maybe double. Some speculators gave this idea a try.
The virtual gain was huge and the risk was rather small. 9% or less.

Are you pulling numbers out of your rear? ... how is it possible for bitcoin to be Greece's currency when bitcoin itself is not a currency it's an account that has an exchangeable price for it's "Realized Value" like a conversion to USD EUR or CNY ... in this case Greece HAD NO MONEY ... what were they going to do to obtain these "bitcoins" ... pillage and commandeer their citizens bitcoins ... start a war to commandeer other countries bitcoins?? what a joke rationalization...

Side note: clarifying Account for you guys,
Account : Intangible Assets Account ... aka comparable to a commodity note..

You should read and not try to interpret. You'd be more accurate.
I never implied that Bitcoin would EVER get the coin - even an alternate one - for Greece. They would need a government controlled coin, for inflation and with Bitcoin they cannot do this.

The idea was that some speculators could think like this: in case of grexit Greece will go for Drahma (with huge inflation). Euro will also fall. One asset at hand to buy is Bitcoin.

However, I wrote looooong ago that I don't expect a Grexit at this time. But what would be the speculators if they wouldn't try every opportunity, however impossible they looks for me and you?
