I would like to thank Ognasty for sticking with us for the entire time this charade went on. Also, my apologies for getting Ognasty involved in this matter.

You're welcome.  No need for an apology.  Glad to help keep your coins safe.  It's nice to be useful around here.   Smiley

If you are only accepting COD then wouldn't the buyer be able to receive the goods, then why couldn't the buyer have the items shipped to them, have the chance to inspect the packages, then pay cash to FedEx?

That's because FedEx isn't going to let you open the package before paying, and if it turns out to be nothing but an apple inside, FedEx isn't going to give you your money back and let you return the package.

Neither MH nor any other developer are in any position to hijack anything.

I agree.  Hence why I've said since the beginning that XT was DOA.  Get emotional about it if you want to.

Funny idea.

Trust is earned, not given.

I was very clear from the beginning I thought this was a scam and the burden of proof fell on you.

OgNasty, it’s the cheaters and the liars who always assume they’re being cheated on and lied to.

You are delusional.

Usually a little press down and towards the CPU will release the lever and you will be able to pull it up.
15587  Economy / Securities / Re: Managed fund - BTC/USD trading on: September 04, 2015, 02:35:22 AM
Do you even use escrow?

It sounds like he needs the funds for trading.  I don't think escrow would serve any purpose for this.
15588  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Monarchs, working or not working. on: September 04, 2015, 02:27:34 AM
Where in the US do you want them shipped?
15589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Don't Want Democracy, We Want Consensus! on: September 03, 2015, 07:29:48 PM
Bitcoin is an open source project and open source specifically implies diversity - not consensus. In other words, developers are free to create, promote and implement diverging versions of the codebase and have the stakeholder consensus mechanism (above) arbitrate amongst their offerings.

The idea of "developer consensus" alluded to in this thread by the OP is not a consensus at all but a cartel.

It appears to me that Mike Hearn understands this and the OP does not.

I disagree with your thoughts on Bitcoin and this being how open source projects work.  I've heard this argument many times and I disagree with it in this case.  The reason is simple.

What Mike is doing isn't simply taking the code and making his changes and then releasing it on his own.  He is attempting to hijack control of the Bitcoin blockchain with his implementation.  He could have gone about releasing his altcoin like everyone else and starting a new blockchain with the Bitcoin code he took and altered like everyone else before him.  Trying to simply make himself the new Satoshi so he can make the rules as he sees fit is a dangerous precedent and I don't think it should be supported by anyone.  He's attempting a hostile takeover of a multi-billion dollar economy that was billed as being decentralized and providing freedom.

Here's a good place to start.
15591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Percentage of XT nodes... on: September 03, 2015, 04:12:49 AM
XT doesn't catch on and it becomes evident we will never hit 75% as we approach January?

XT was dead on arrival due to the "features" included in it.  75% was never going to happen.
15592  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: September 03, 2015, 04:09:01 AM
Yeah, I'm not in it yet, either, but I'm thinking about snagging a seat just to be part and watch what happens going forward, Smiley. Seems a seat (share) is around 29 mBTC right now.

I would definitely recommend picking up 1 seat and seeing what information is available on the site.  You should get a feel for how everything works and what to expect before considering a larger stake.

Can you tell what the change would have been for someone buying shares one week ago or one month ago?

I'm not sure I understand the question, but if you take a look at our thread you can see that NastyFans publishes all trades.  If you actually are a member of NastyFans, you can see charts showing data in both USD and BTC dating back to the inception of the club at nastyfans.org.

I meant when someone was not involved in OgNasty yet and bought shares one week ago, or a month ago, what percentage of profit would he have gotten nowadays? I guess you can tell that even without dividends sent out yet, right?

I only want to judge how profitable it is at the moment.

Well, nobody better be in OgNasty or there will be hell to pay.

As far as NastyFans goes, there are all sorts of stats available.  All you have to do is look at the iOS App, our thread, our public address, our website, or our dev site to get these answers and a lot more information.

I went ahead and pasted the trailing 9-week annual yield number from our thread here.  All our stats automatically update.

ANNUAL DONATION YIELD:

Perhaps if people did their due diligence instead of relying on the people who run securities for information, many of the scams mentioned in this thread would not have occurred.

Advertising Bitcoin can't be a bad thing. Especially if they're using rich VC's money.
15596  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: September 02, 2015, 05:58:30 AM
I would like to have our monthly chat this Saturday.  Not certain of a time yet, but I will decide on that as we get closer to the weekend.
15597  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Is it possible to set up a pool anonomously? on: September 02, 2015, 05:32:44 AM
Anything is possible.  However, I assume miners would see decreased performance trying to run a pool through onion routing.

That is what I wanted to know, how significant do you think this decrease would be? Would it be significant enough so that the pool would be unable to compete with other pools in terms of it attracting enough miners?

I am not the right person to answer this question.  I have no knowledge of hosting anything on an onion service.  I could make a case for why it would decrease performance and why it wouldn't.  Someone who has actually run an onion service of some kind or has researched it could probably answer this question.
15598  Other / Off-topic / Re: Great anonymous and encrypted chatroom on: September 02, 2015, 05:28:32 AM
Everything ok with this service?  I seem to be having some issues with using it suddenly.  I cannot post messages.
Thank for notifying, now everything is working again.
There is some rear problem with node in the server where we host the site.
We're thinking about possible solutions.

But it's nice to see, that someone is actively using the service, cool! Smiley

I do use it for my monthly live chats.  Great service.  I wish it was open source so I could host it myself.  Smiley
15599  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for an Angel Investor. on: September 02, 2015, 01:08:22 AM
hmmm ok no comments yet, any feedback on how i can make this more appealing?

You could explain what the $3,000 is for and why you need it.  It seems like someone with past development experience wouldn't need this sum of money to create a site that does what you are seeking to do.  That makes me think that you or your developer lack the faith in your brainchild and want to be paid up front for your development time to build what you want.

I apologize if you feel this is trolling.  I am just trying to share my thoughts with you.  I think developing the site first and then seeking investors once you have advertiser or user data would be a better way of going about it.  Many new users come here looking to scam.  Unfortunately the burden of proving your are legitimate falls on you and without a product it will be difficult to convince people that you are not just seeking a free $3,000.
15600  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB Netfix gift code ESCROW NEEDED on: September 02, 2015, 12:18:46 AM
Im not aware of gift codes, but do you mean you want a 12 month netflix account?

If so theres, a bunch of accounts here that last more then a year and are given for free. I got like account I dont mind selling which is legit for the last 2 years so far if thats what you want?

Stores don't sell exact "12 Month Netflix" redeemable subscription codes per say, but they offer things like $60 or $30 Netflix "credit" codes that can be added to your account. The billing will continue to charge your "gift card balance" and take out the money monthly out of your account.

Netflix used to offer 12 month subscription codes.  I've used one before.  I think they stopped this practice a little less than a year ago.  Probably because of all the people who were giving them away and selling them for pennies on the dollar.
