1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple announces XRP lockup, locking up as many as 88% of its current XRP. on: May 16, 2017, 05:39:36 PM
This is great news and I suddenly trust Ripple alot more than I used to. I'm currently going to hoard some ripple for myself. I'm also curious how this will affect the price of ripple since it already has been in a really big uptrend.

This is hilarious.  Cheesy

A centralized entity ..a corporation says that and you think it's good ? WOW  Roll Eyes

Since they decided to do what ever they want when ever they want.. what is stopping them from uhh
Doing what ever they want when ever they want ? ahhahahhahaha

In other words taking their word for things or trusting them is utterly pointless beyond comprehension.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP is a complete fraud GET OUT! on: May 16, 2017, 05:34:03 PM
So wait, someone's calling the second largest coin a fraud? I'm not that much into alt-coin story but even I know that it can hardly be a fraud.

For all we know, Ripple could be the original.

It was started 2004/2005.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ripple_(payment_protocol)

"The predecessor to the Ripple payment protocol, Ripplepay, was first developed in 2004 by Ryan Fugger,[18][19] a web developer in Vancouver, British Columbia.[20] Fugger conceived of the idea after working on a local exchange trading system in Vancouver, and his intent was to create a monetary system that was decentralized and could effectively allow individuals and communities to create their own money. Fugger's first iteration of this system, RipplePay.com,[21] debuted in 2005 as a financial service to provide secure payment options to members of an online community via a global network."

This is exactly what people misunderstand. Ripple won't distribute XRP thru its clients but will help organizations to transact easily with a token of their own.

Why would an organization use a token like XRP that is centralized at an external corporation ?

I'm yet to get a convincing answer about that.

You can remove ripple the corporation, and XRP will work as usual. I do not see your points.

And who keeps releasing the coins then ?
Uhh ohh seems like you're wrong huh ?  Cheesy

Not long ago the dev guy showed up on this very topic saying he is GUESSING they released 333 million as part of a deal with a bank or some shit like that..

So in other words they have their own little agenda at when and how many ICO coins to release.
They do it in secret with no warning or post-explanation.
And they DO have reasons for doing it but don't tell us.. ever.

They simply do what ever they want.. as a corporation.

And when the corporation is releasing the ICO coins then how can XRP function with out Ripple inc ?
Who will release those coins if no Ripple inc was doing it ?

Your corporate ICO pyramid scheme is a joke guys  Roll Eyes
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We're seeing less spams seen Ripple passed Etherieum on: May 16, 2017, 05:27:44 PM
They both are complete scams.  Premined fairy dust

Agreed.. ICO garbage.

And i looked at CoinMarketCap.com and yup sure enough.. Ripple is now ranked #2  Roll Eyes
Crystal clear proof this scene is a massive pathetic joke.

Lets put this into perspective..
First Litecoin was the #2 coin.
Then it was Doge..
Then it was Ethereum.
Now it's Ripple ?

Things have REALLY gone down hill for a long loooong time.

I see Ripple up 32% last 24 hours.
So they are executing their plan masterfully.
They figured out you can pump the coin then dump more onto the market jumping the cap standings.
And since the coin is pumped 99% of the crypto idiots will pile in.. no matter what coin it is.

A well executed crypto pyramid scheme.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: May 16, 2017, 07:09:27 AM
This crypto scheme for profit is not popular anymore guys.
Move along nothing to see here..
You need to chase your ROI's elsewhere.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A 1,001 Berni Madoff's on: May 16, 2017, 06:55:34 AM
Not concerned with it being centralized or not ?

..you should be.  Roll Eyes

I doubt ANY of you are actually.

Better for the investor to stop investing in this coins i personally dont buy this coins so just do a more deep research in the background of the coin you can really see the information of the coins and know if its a scam so it doesnt waste your money.

we're all buying XRPs lol you'd be left behind. it don't matter now whether you call it scam but we are mooning. banks are using it already and there is no stopping ripples from shooting up. its less than a dollar still and when it goes beyond $5, you'd still be shouting scam to still want the price to go less than 0.20$, its never going to happen now.

let your money grow.

You made money, congratulations. XRP, the token IOU that is on exchanges is not used by banks. Who told you this? Ask any Ripple employee and they will tell you there is no XRP being used by banks. Price is not what this thread is about. That is in the Speculation section. We all know that scams and pump/dumps can be profitable. That is why people perpetuate them.

Yup.

This altcoin shit has been a scam from end to end for years now.
This guy show cases the piss poor mentality of all these profiteer douche bags.
Nobody gives two fucking shits if it's a scam.. they are simply counting their Bitcoin ROI'z.

The entire Altcoin scene is nothing but a swirling vortex of retarded profiteer faggotry.
I see the exact same formulaic idiotic commentary swirl around like a tornado that never dies.
Scam this.. profit that.. FUD etc
What matters ?

Profit.

Does a coin function in a good way ?
Who gives a fuck your a FUD'er jealous of mah ROI'z !!!!111ONE  Angry
Right ?
I heard that oh i dunno maybe from every shill from every coin ever LOL
I heard Doge tard's say it's legit because they made a bit of BTC off it.

Just realize the cops are coming.
I hope they seize your money you greedy immoral corrupt self serving losers.
You don't deserve it.

You all took a great idea with promise and made damn sure to shit on it to death.
To the point where all the legit players are forced out and the scene is dominated by sleazy little rats scurrying around in the shadows nibbling away at the ROI's from what ever the fuck is paying out right now.

Anyone with half a brain would have left years ago..

It's NOW like watching a pack of scammers collectively run their scammy schemes.
When this shit was legit Ripple was ignored.
Now ?  Roll Eyes

I warned you all long ago.
You will suffer the consequences and i as usual will laugh my god damn ass off and say i told you so and i will relish every moment of it too.

So by all means carry on with the chasing your luscious sweet tantalizing ROI'z.
And before you mumble some bullshit at me about being jealous bear in mind i heard it all before and answered your cliche'd retorts a thousands times before already.

Bitcointalk = Jiggle dick-holster for bucks $$$

I would smile if the Fed's shut this site down.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this coin solve some of the problems Crypto has? on: May 16, 2017, 06:40:12 AM
No ICO, NO POW, NO PREMINE, NO POS.
Unlike any other blockchain. Uses static signed nodes and a CHORDS system to check consensus. Now this system solves any scalability issues, the 51% attack problem of POS, is more secure than any other blockchain as unlike others instead of chasing a random untested node checks across a selection of signed, trusted and static nodes using CHORDS. Its is also far more efficient that anything that has gone before. Also assuming the developer isn't lying they actually worked with Peter Szor a giant in the internet security industry who died a few years back.

Probably this is the easiest way to explain how CHORDS will work in theory.

1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: May 16, 2017, 04:09:35 AM
This scam will get the Kill Switch flipped any day now if it comes out that market makers and Ripple have violated this agreement. Enjoy getting REKT.

On May 5, 2015, FinCEN fined Ripple Labs and XRP II US$700,000 for violation of the Bank Secrecy Act,[31] based on the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network's additions to the act in 2013.[51] Ripple Labs agreed to remedial steps to ensure future compliance, which included an agreement to only transact XRP and "Ripple Trade" activity through registered money services businesses (MSB), among other agreements such as enhancing the Ripple Protocol.[31]

Yes. KILL SWITCH. This is not decentralized crypto and has a central point of failure.

I was just eluding to them using clandestine methods to manipulate the price..
Who do you all think is pumping it etc ?
Probably the guys who got free coins when it launched.

How much did they hand out on the great giveaway debacle ?
I never got fuck all when they forced me to sign up using my email etc.

EDIT: I signed up for the giveaway back then in 2013 just after i got here.

Think about it.. they are pumping it or otherwise using sketchy means to drive the price up i almost certain.. and... releasing more coins.
So they can add coins but can't take them away and need to use shady means to affect the price.
Or they risk violating that agreement quoted.
So i am saying if they are investigated and get caught pumping it etc they are in for a world of hurt.
They better hope they are not being watched.

This shit will unravel eventually i think.
It simply shouldn't have existed in the first place.

This is worse than any ICO crap out there because it's not decentralized and open sourced and a currency.
It's some scammy ass ICO free money corporate ledger scheme.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this coin solve some of the problems Crypto has? on: May 16, 2017, 04:01:50 AM
You should know they will latch onto Bitcoin Killer and run with it.
You used the headline to get attention.. and it worked.
Trust me i know about it.. half my neg-rating's is over a Monero topic title (that didn't go over wellCheesy

I think this was a botched effort from day 1 and i do not trust ANY "community take over"
And the topic has succeeded in lying to the masses..
It's not an ICO ?

It was an ICO though.. you are lying.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RadixDLT (formerly eMunie) Discussion on: May 16, 2017, 03:56:23 AM
Yeah the dev guy seems like a nice guy.. not sure on his project details though.
The old name made me think of eMule and this new one makes me think of some kind of cutting edge tech with a Radish.

..just wanted to point that out.
 Grin

I'd be here all day if i addressed the never ending onslaught of stupid commentary posted.
I will sum it up with this.. LOL

Oh and nice stealthy topic title change hahahah
Ohh no one said that ?
Uhmmm yeah look at the title on most of the comments Wink

Says a lot when these guys have to lie about the topic title  Cheesy

Have fun with your ICO.. and yeah i ran straight to yobit to buy dem cheap ICO coin'z nom nom nom
I was scared shitless i'd miss out on ICO ROI'z  Cry

OMG Moon.. the dev or what ever is rich.. so you know.. that means they don't want / need money.
I can't believe the idiotic shit you guys post here non stop ahhahahha

..anyone roped into crap like this gets what they deserve.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC??? on: May 15, 2017, 10:26:04 PM
If it was a threat it would have been OBVIOUS in 2014 when Butter's ICO launched.
The market would have been all over it.. not AFTER it got pumped to high hell in early 2016.

So why would we be thinking it's a threat to Bitcoin after 3 years ?
Because the price was manipulated higher & higher ?

All i know is you guys all made me sick making this fucking ICO shit coin scam the #2 in crypto.
And.. that shithead butters is NOW a multi-millionaire. (admitting to dumping a million+ for no apparent reason)

Co-opting crypto-dregs.. it's how it's done.
Run a scheme coin then make sure the little shits get a taste and bam.. you're sitting on Millions
..of little dipshits dollars

Think about it.. where did Butters million dollars come from he dumped ?
That is money put into the market by idiot bag holders.

Not sure which is gayer.. Ripple or Ethereum.
The top two scammy ICO scheme-coins you all support fer teh ROI'z  Roll Eyes

..can we get back to currencies ?
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: May 15, 2017, 09:57:32 PM
XRP only serves to make ripple rich, it has no real world use and its volatility shows just how much its ruled by speculation rather than any fundamentals. Ripple still have over 60 billion XRP to release at their convenience, I just don't understand why people are stupid enough to buy them.

And they should be rewarded for their work. Not like the mining coins where you make the electric companies rich for no good reason at all.

Miners provide a service.. securing the block-chain and making the transactions move etc.
In turn they are paid.

Miners that buy hardware to mine are showing their support by investing in hardware.

Waste of power ? Sure.. but there really isn't a better way yet.
Except Prime Coin or Grid Coin etc.
But you think Ripple's bullshit is an improvement ? I gotta laugh at your ass now  Cheesy

And mmortal03.. good points especially about predictability vs random dumping by Ripple inc.

Why on earth would banks use the Ripple as is when they can make their own?
Well they already use it. The could really fork Ripple in less than a day and they could have their own chain yet not. Easypeasy Japanesee are buying right now. Join the pun.

Japanese may be fueling the rise, but the problem is the contagion effect. If XRP goes down, it is unlikely that it will be an isolated crash. It could take down a lot of alts (and maybe Bitcoin as well). Right now, everybody is having a party.

I asked before if they could delete coins.
Look at it ..they are playing Federal reserve.
If the price needs to be controlled they issue more..
But what if they need to increase the price ?
Uhhh ohhh we have a problem LOL
We have a handicapped psuedo-fed reserve who can only add and not subtract coins.  Roll Eyes
And wasn't all of this about them creating a coin with a stable value anyway ?
Isn't that the big defense ?

What will happen when the want the price to increase ?
Look around Wink
You are lookin' at it.. pumpidty pump LOL
Yeah professional shit right there hahahahhahahha

And banks don't need Ripple.
They already have their own systems.. and plenty of alternatives.
Why would they dump all the options they already use in favor of Ripple ?
1573  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: May 15, 2017, 09:29:52 AM
I left Cryptsy after they added the verified bullshit.
I've never gotten "verified" on any exchange either.
I am not handing any crypto site / service my personal info.

Never used a lot of the popular exchanges.
I have used BTCe though.. never needed my picture ID but an obvious higher risk.
I always made sure i kept a smaller amount on BTCe then used it for trading or i would transfer it out ASAP.. never had a problem either.
(I use to keep a few grand on there for day trading / arb'ing)

Read the headline here on this topics people..
Then remember on this very topic when i got one of them at Cryptsy to admit that is EXACTLY what they did.. AKA: Coinbase / KAT style.
BitJohn said they would freeze the users account then hand them an excuse such as "network problems" then hand over their info like Coinbase did.
See the topic title ? Sound familiar ?

It's not paranoia guys.. they fucking tell you all they do it !
Funny enough i warned you all over & over they would BEFORE they admitted it
..because it was obvious and common sense.

Really though no one cares in the slightest about what i just said.
BJ's comment was buried long ago and everyone carried on with their ROI'z.
KAT was taken down and no one gove 2 shits..
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Lee: Bitcoin Miner Voting is Kind of Silly, But Safest Option on: May 15, 2017, 09:19:37 AM
He's right.

I came right now here to see what was going on with getting a digital currency adopted.

..all i seen was never ending topics about profits.

And since you don't need a digital currency adopted for profit what are the odds it will happen ?
Take note all these guys here are waiting for someone else to do it.
But it's the crypto-nerd's job..
I am the one into crypto not my Mom so why would i expect her to get Litecoin adopted and used ?

Unless there is a way for shit head profiteers to make money off of adoption with new users it won't happen.

Greed fuels the entire scene 100%.
Lee was right.. these idiots couldn't care less.

If they get less NOW for the risk of maybe getting more later they won't do it.
It's all about impatient fast cash and being a greedy slob.
Selfish lazy pigs rolling around in the mud like dirty swine.

They won't do any of the work but want all the money.
Like come on Whales pump mah coin so i can make sum ROI'z dammit !!111ONE

Just like Cryptsy they handed over user details and trade activity to the Unites States of America government.. more than once !

After looking like assholes over KAT they now started a lawsuit to reject a mass govt fishing attempt.
None the less they always have been and always will be forking over user data.
Just because they started an attempt to reject them on 1 incident does not mean they still aren't handing your ass over.

1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need opinion about starting the exact copy of bitcoin. on: May 15, 2017, 06:26:44 AM
Why not use Litecoin? I don't know a huge amount about it but from what I've seen, it just seems to be a faster, more secure version of Bitcoin. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that if people are intimidated by Bitcoin's price, they might as well just buy Litecoin, which is also seen as more "beginner-friendly". As for mining difficulty, this new clone would have the same vulnerability to ASICs as Bitcoin, so you'd be better off going with something with ASIC resistance like Monero, which you can mine on a GPU.

If you can GPU mine it.. you can ASIC mine it.
FPGA's or what ever are programmable to do the task i am pretty sure.

LTC was a stop gap.. it was intended to buy some time etc.
Not sure the dev's figured it would be permanently ASIC resistant.

Innovation is not changing the settings of the coin and relaunching either guys.
Innovation would be improving on the block chain concept with a new system.
No one ever has.. they simply side stepped the problem and made ledgers or ICO's.
A massive step in reverse (not an improvment)

If some newb twat wants to make a coin then go hard.
The world doing this for 8+ years before he showed up will have their say.

Rebooting BTC is a dumb idea.

That is the problem Andy.. monumental levels of bullshit on both sides (pro & con)
And no one will read the fine print.

As long as an exchange or two adds what ever the fuck coin.. it's deemed legit
and there for the hoards of idiots will rush in to Poloniex and spend Bitcoin buying XYZ coin fer teh ROI'z.

How many spend any time checking for a personal criteria ?
How many have any criteria ?

Scam ?

Of course they don't want to buy a coin considered a scam.
The idiots in crypto are worried it won't pay out..
Not because it's engineered to FUNCTION in a scammy way.

Coin that pays ROI's ? = Legit.
Those that lose them money ? = Scam.

That is the criteria of these drooling dipshit profiteers.
How they work or how they are launched or if they make a scam team incorporated a half billion in profit is 100% irrelevant.

Like i pointed out before no one would touch Ripple.
It got pumped.
Now it's popular  Roll Eyes
