I wonder if this is how the Linux forums looked when Linux first came out, and people were trying to decide on which direction to take the project.

1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solidcoin Design Contest - 1000 SOLID COIN BOUNTY! on: September 02, 2011, 09:24:30 PM
I only have gimp but i will see what i can do,  Personally i dont see anything wrong with the yellow and purple theme.
If you like the purple and yellow, go with that route, and make it better.

I have no problem with any of the colors anyone uses. Let your creativity go wild !
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solidcoin Design Contest - 1000 SOLID COIN BOUNTY! on: September 02, 2011, 09:12:50 PM

How about this one?

Lets face it, SolidCoin is just a ripoff of something more successful so why not just rip off the coin pic too?

Thanks for contributing.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Solidcoin Design Contest - 3300 SOLID COIN BOUNTY! on: September 02, 2011, 08:46:51 PM
BOUNTY SET SO FAR AT 3300 SC
PLEASE SEND YOUR DONATIONS TO sKbseY61RtKchh3yTacyzYiCWP1LPgCg1k

DONATORS:
Flippro - 3000SC
The Electric Monk- 50sc
Mr. Moon- 250

I am going to be funding this out of my own pocket. If anyone wants to ADD to the bounty please contact me. The more that is offered for the Bounty the better the designs will be. Your name will be put on the list of contributors if you do decide to donate to the bounty!

What you must do to win the contest and collect the bounty

We need a brand new Solidcoin logo.

This is the one we have now, but I am sure someone can do MUCH better for 1000+ SLC

We need a high definition coin that is pleasing to the eyes, and can be used for anything, by anyone.

The one that we have now was a really good start, but once again I think we can do much better than this.

We need a new Solidcoin accepted here button.

A community member already made one, but it looks identical to the Bitcoin one and I really think we deserve our own eye-catching accepted here button.

The contest will end in TWO WEEKS - FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 16TH.

At that point we will have a POLL and everyone will vote on what the best design is and winner will get the prize!

Thank you for all who participate.

All work will be owned by the COMMUNITY. This means as an artists you must post .PSD (raw files) and all related artwork in public to collect bounty.

I am a modern Socialist Democratic Liberal , with a Futurist Utopian influence.

I would agree with much on your post, but your opinion of Libertarians is a REALLY twisted one. And without knowing it you are contributing to the problem, instead of helping to solve it.

No not all Libertarians are scammers/drug dealers/anarchist/ radical people. Many tend to be doctors, lawyers, scientist, teachers, and some of the most respected people on our planet. I can pretty much guarantee you that 90% of the Libertarians on BTCTALK are good people, and they just have a totally different opinion of how life should be conducted.

Here is an interesting observation, if everyone subscribed to the SAME ideology, hypothetically they could ALL WORK. The problem is that we live in a world where different opinions/ideology's/sexes/ and cultures exists, and the best way to fix our problems is with BALANCE.

This is where the next part comes in and it's important. In order to keep this balance that we owe to eachother, we must continue to push the truth, no matter what side it benefits.

I have a problem when I come on here and I hear Libertarians and Republicans spouting about how our U.S.A corporations pay more taxes than anyone else in world, when that couldn't be farther away from the truth...

Corporations in the USA actually pay their CEO's more than they pay in total taxes!

http://rt.com/usa/news/corporations-ceos-lobbying-taxes-551/

We cannot get away from the truth, and extreme ideology's on both sides only takes us further away from the truth, and closer to chaos..

It's gotta stop.

P.S Bitcoin doesn't care what we are. Bitcoin is a money and nothing else, what we use it for has nothing to do with the ideology behind it. People really need to stop pegging ideology's to Bitcoin, cause it only makes the person doing so look REALLY stupid, especially since the currency isn't even out of BETA yet.. Anything can change in the economic model of Bitcoin, because maybe one thing isn't as practical as the other, so right now we really don't know where any of this is going to end up.

My guess will be a HEALTHY BALANCED currency when all this is said and done.

1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Euro [SEPA] to SLC and vice versa on: September 02, 2011, 06:56:24 PM
I hope that is not a scam since the guy has a really good domain name.

If SLC ever gets big that exchange could be one of the top ones.

That being said I wouldn't trade there.

GL TO OP.

OMG STFU.

You are REALLY starting to annoy me.

It is the natural cycle, difficulty goes up, prices go down, miners drop off.

This is why Solidcoin IS SO POWERFUL.

NO matter how much you try to crap on it one day, difficulty goes down the next day, and all of a sudden it looks attractive again.

I am seriously going to start ignoring all your posts if you keep posting crap like this on a daily basis...

Please start ignoring them so I don't have to hear your constant whining. =)

thanks  Cheesy
Your loosing alot of friends because of your stupidity.

Honestly I didn't realize this forum was about friends. In fact I thought I had none to begin with. LOL

Your point?  Cheesy
This section will match these kind of posts http://solidcointalk.org/forum/16-speculation/

EDIT: I don't think you're stupid, but the posts you are making sure are. You know solidcoin isn't a scam, and if anything you're scamming people to sell their coins so you can buyin at a cheaper price and make even more BTC's (Fiat) which is all you really care about. Thats what you have said from the start, you don't give a crap about having a better currency in the future, all you care about is lining up your pockets NOW and that's why I have a problem with you posting crap like this.

So many of the virtues stated on this site are far from what I have seen in SA members. If they are Masons, they sure are crappy ones..

I wish someone just explained all this conspiracy nutter bull to me. This is all so time consuming ughh...

Well, we could spend a few dozen paragraphs trying to explain it, but it really all boils down to 'the lizard people did it'.  Hope I didn't spoil the ending for you.
So the reptilians control the free masons? What is the agenda of the reptilians, why are they here trying to form a one world govt?

Let's auto-delete any topic mentioning SomethingAwful within any of the main Bitcoin forums besides Meta and Off-topic.

Who's in favor?

You are right Immanuel, free speech is an antiquated idea
You guys are the ones hiding your boards...
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solidcoin accepted here button on: September 02, 2011, 02:42:59 AM
For some reason I really like the white $ much better than the yellow. It compliments the purple coin much better.

I will be rendering some Solidcoin designs on my free time hopefully soon, so that we can have a BTC "Grade Coin"

The forks are just an act of desperation because gpu mining has become unprofitable and speculators know that fpga & co are just around the corner.
Price is down, people are delirious and think they can flee to the forks, but they'll sit on their gpu rigs nevertheless... well it's gonna happen  Tongue
Your dreaming if you think affordable fpga boards are "just around the corner"

The level of skillful debate in this forum is embarrassing.

I am about to have a weekly debate show and just bring along anyone from the forum and destroy them.

This could be fun and interesting, actually.  There are online sites where you can host debates.  I'm not very good at live debates but it would be a good way to get better provided the context was correct.
Yes it would be fun to do this. People have challenged me to debates, but they always want written debates (much easier) and never full video ones. I will only debate via live stream and live stream only
