New clone. This is pretty much a NXT clone if they can pull it. Admittedly, the initial distribution was more well thought out.

so crazy, over last week everyone calling their new coin second generation Smiley

Shouldn't we call Nxt a 3rd 4th 5th generation currency? Just for marketing purposes?

Staying ahead in the game ís important.

Not for any bounty, but there is a Dutch info-site now, too.

PLEASE just give me the respect that I feel I have earned and certainly more than the pre-pretty charts yuriygeorge!! PLEASE do not accuse me of being dishonest, that really hurts me.

For what it's worth, I've never have seen you to be as anything else than straightforward, open and constructive.
The fact that some of the things that may be needed at the moment don't sit well with people for whatever reasons, does not diminish my respect for your commitment.

First and second are both nice.
I dislike a forum that's too "open" in it's design.
Would it be possible to alternate shades per row? ie. uneven rows = white, even rows = light grey? That makes for much easier reading, at least to me.

Current theme is very good, please leave it or at least give users ability to select it too.

Selecting themes is a very good idea!

Better, but still not a fan. I suggested to adminius that I'm willing to buy one of these for the forum:

(Preferrably the first :-))

NEWS

The last chance to claim unclaimed coins is over.

We have ~13M coins left and they'll be spent for rewards, bounties and development. Now we are running a reward program. I ask the community to post here links (with short description and link to BTT profile) to projects/persons that helped to promote Nxt. Only projects launched before the 3rd of Jan can apply. There will be several categories, BCNext will choose 3 best participants from each category. I'll contact project owners via BTT personal message to get Nxt account ids for reward payments. The 1st place will receive 50'000, 2nd - 30'000 and 3rd - 20'000 NXT.

Agree ... but till than we have to survive.

Guys, why don't you change that terrible design on https://forums.nxtcrypto.org?

My eyes hurt, I am afraid I will get a headache if I look at it for too long.

Black background is rarely used on major public sites outside niches, like gaming.

I second this. Feels like the geocities days.

So what kind of profit from fees is expected per 1k NXT.

Highly considering trading all my doge for NXT

I would leave the "mining mindset" at the door when starting on Nxt. You'll be disappointed if you don't. :-)

True, color blind people confuse color, simple remedy is to add some simple text next to or on the color.

Not sure this will help... If u looked at a red icon but saw it as a green one, would u read the text? I wouldn't.

Everyone can see white text.
If not, they are truly blind.

That is not right, you can't change fees when you own nearly 90M NxT + X BTC of your customers without giving a timeframe to withdrawal with the old rules.
Would you kindly suggest how to deal with the missing 800k NXT please? Consider the rate of NXT shoots up significantly, not that I would have 70 BTC extra in my pockets to cover it right now.

DGEX offered people free trading of NXT for 5 weeks.

Again, no problem with you wanting to recoup losses.

However, no previous warning is just not done.
When did you see these losses? Where they related to the NXT system?
Why haven't you brought them to the attention of the NXT coders, or if you did, why didn't there come a point where you decided "enough, I can't work this way!"?

At this moment, the loss is all on the back of your users. Again, that is like discovering your safe has a hole and locking people in your shop until they make up for the difference.
In a RL situation, that just isn't possible, due to people not accepting it in a very physical way.

I suggest you give people 3 days to withdraw under old rules if they want to. After that you can charge whatever fees you want, just publish them

James

This. A grace period is normal.
1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 03, 2014, 04:22:59 PM
IMO DGEX can ask for all the fees he likes. People can choose not to do business there, and in the end that works out due to market movements.

It's the no prior warning to shutting down the logins AND THEN asking for fees that rubs me the wrong way.
That's like locking a customer in a store and refusing to let him out without payment.
That isn't done, or even legal in any scenario.

I would also advise, in the strongest way possible, to release the people who had stored money without fees during a grace period, and then resume business with fees.

I have no problems with the fees per se. That's DGEX's right as a business. Offering people no choice what to do with the funds they have deposited in good faith is a different matter.
I'm pretty sure it isn't legal.

Edit: taking my further comments to the forum Trade section from here.

That is what I said...
