1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos good or bad? on: November 23, 2023, 04:51:31 PM
The numerous response of members who haven't participated in telegram casinos, or hearing it for the first time is quite alarming. I've been a member of such channels, and was given $3 to participate. But, have been reluctant about it, as telegram isn't a nice avenue for gambling. Although, the owners are getting nice traffics, seeing bets popping up in split seconds. Was wondering if there are not manipulated. But, the Op here, is beginning to open more insights about the game. I'm quite surprised that a big gambling forum, like this, have members who are new to it. This gives me more reason not to venture into such games, yet. My review funds are still laying in the balance. Don't actually know how it works. Telegram is going to become one huge social media, with multiple use-cases. A lot of crypto related activities can be achieved via telegram. Users still participate regardless of the high rate of con men in the platform, scamming their preys. Anyone trying gambling on telegram should be careful, as most channels don't have reviews, whether trustworthy or not. But, if the idea works fine for a long time, telegram casino will definitely grow bigger, in the nearest future.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 23, 2023, 04:28:59 PM
The decision all depends on the gambler, who knows what strategy is best for them? but the most concern is on risk management. Added with money management. We endeavor to stay happy, while and after gambling. When we don't care about our happiness, all because of more money. It affects the gambler, if he losses all his bank in one gambling session. Which is a waste of wealth, on the gamblers end. Hence, the budgetary limit is crucial and we can enforce it by not going to gamble with our cards. The thrill can be deceitful, it's aim is to demand for more money, to remain excited. The hardest part of the thrill, when it end, is going home with nothing to show.
Very common reaction eh? People would really be loving to hear out some advises specially if it talks about on making money. They do gamble out because they are aiming for more
winnings on which we know that in gambling field where luck is really that most important thing that we are really that wanting or need to have.
If you do take someones advise on playing or keep on playing on chasing those wins then its a bad idea for you to follow on because it would really be just that making
you desperate and this is something that we must avoid in the first place.Play according into your own mood and preference on which gambling is really just that
indeed for leisure because if you do able to deal up with it on other means or intent then this is where errors do happen.

And because our luck isn't same with that of the advisor, the player shouldn't do what doesn't work for him. The money is the goal for many, that's why they can easily be swayed from one strategy to another, seeking for whats works like it's SEO. Anything can work in gambling, but not for everybody. What made you to win, can't help me to win. Except it's sports gambling, copying of predictions is allowed. But, for other types of gambling, it's wrong to follow your strategy, especially in slot games. Chasing losses is wrong for any gambler, especially for those whom such strategy doesn't work out for, while gambling. A gambler who is scared of trying again, can follow his instinct and stop gambling. Yet, if he thinks more wins would result out of his bravery decision of playing more, he's allowed to hit another start button. If they'll take the responsibility of the losses, then it's fine. Op shouldn't go for his friend's advise for the regular issue of having to blame them when he gets a worse experience from same idea that spices the days of his friends. Human nature love shifting responsibility and blaming others. Hence, if a gambler wants to be bittered the most, he should confide by the strategies of his mates. It's simple to get over the loss our decisions caused, but not simpler to forget when the fault is from our friends. To be on a safer relationship status with others, we can mind our business; devise our strategies and play according to the mood of the day directs us.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Carreer skill benefit of gambling on: November 23, 2023, 04:04:29 PM
2. Socialization: Mainly the corporate world will call it interpersonal relationship. It's a very crucial skill anywhere we find ourselves in the world. And gamblers who participate in board games, easily develop the skill. When in the office, they'll always socialize and make friends with co-workers.
I do not really see this applicable to online gambling.

Co-workers that are not gambling too can socialize together. Some peoole will have things in common and become friends with another person because of many things the person is doing which is similar to his. This may start because both of them are seeing themselves in a casino but online gambling may not be a good reason.

It can go beyond this because there are other things that make people socialize, especially because they are co-workers and if they have similar way of seeing things right and wrong.

The online gambler can only socialize on social media. As online casinos have boards for users to communicate on the website. But, the disadvantage of online gambling is the issue of not physically associating with other gamblers. I was wondering about the relationship between the other ways of getting those two skills outside gambling and possessing it through gambling. The aim is having the skills, not the medium we got it. I'm only concerned about the importance of gambling as one of those multiple medium. For gamblers who don't possess such skill to be aware of the possibility of becoming better conversationalist, by communicating with follow gamblers in the casino or gambling room. As we can easily discuss with other gamblers, regarding their strategies and ideas. The feeling of getting ignored is quite low while trying to talk, for the first time, to a fellow gambler. So, when players begin to envision that they can actually start a conversation. And end up making it fun for the next person. They'll easily use that skill in their offices. And improve their interpersonal relationship skill. We can't neglect the fact that gambling can offer such skills, because there are other ways of possessing the skill.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: November 23, 2023, 03:42:00 PM
I don't remember playing one game, but I've not changed or stopped playing games like black roulette and Poker, but still find fun in trying out new games under slots. Unless games I don't understand. But, people who stop playing games because they're losing, isn't sure of what result they'll get while playing the new one. The idea should be figuring out what works in the game. Then maximize opportunity for profits. For instance, when playing roulette game, predicting a single number correctly can be very rewarding, but the chances of winning is always low. Hence, choosing the red or black or 1-9 option is a better means of winning. Then once in while the player can try single numbers. During these period of choosing sides that maximize the player's profit, he'll still enjoy the game. It's always demoralizing to continue losing, with no chances of winning. Different games have unique methods players can utilize to maintain a winning possibility. Therefore, moving from a specific game to another, will only, at first portray a sense of new interface to the player. Then, moving on, he'll still lose out like in the previous games. Change of games isn't a gambling strategy. It's all same gambling, but different rules and interfaces. Nothing changes. Regarding the rewards or wins.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 23, 2023, 03:24:42 PM
I wouldn't be interested in doing the crowdfunding for him since he didn't make a mistake or scammed out of his money but he gambled it away in all his senses possibly out of greed and he deserved to learn his lesson. However, if I feel that he is extremely ashamed of what he did and in severe need of funds, I might do it but only on one condition, that the funds will not be in his possession and will go directly to the cause that he is worried about because I wouldn't trust him to do it if he has the funds and can gamble them away as well.

I have seen a lot of such cases where people lost money that was supposed to be used for something important in gambling only because they thought they could make more money with it and then keep the extra money and use the actual amount for what it was for and lost the money and then regretted it badly.

Handing out financial help to an addict is quite inadmissible. He'll go back to where he stopped, and waste the money. How is he going to fund back the money, to the lender? I think the person who deserves such help, could be a new gambler, with less experience. If he shares a polite, moral and logical true story, explaining how he got carried away. Then, people can help out, especially, when he's a modest person, looking to begin a fresh habit in gambling. The right thing is your suggestion. Endeavor he doesn't get it directly. As we can't for sure determine his level of inattentiveness in becoming a changed person, or whether he's being swayed by somebody else. And he's got the begging idea to deceive people. Unless his loss dropped him in an inconsolable situation, the player wouldn't deserve any direct help at the moment. Therefore, those who are in the disposal of helping, should be careful with their decision. Because, if neglected because of the multiple factors that qualifies the gambler to be lying. It could be an expensive mistake on the helpers end, broken, immature players are very vulnerable. And could harm themselves, from the thoughts of losing out all they've got in gambling. Many times, when people are genuinely interested in changing through their mistakes, they're being judged by the actions of others who were in similar problem in the past. And we end up regretting our hard decision on the person. By not helping them, I think once we're sure he is sincere, and promises to pay back, he should be helped.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 23, 2023, 03:00:59 PM
Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? If yes, what had been your strategy ? Do you diversify to multiple games in order to ensure that end result is always profit ?

I personally feel that there are very less chances of making a steady income with gambling. In fact, if you win a big amount in gambling, from there on , you should play games with less on stake and keep the winnings invested in some good option like crypto. It is important to have self control to end profitably with gambling ventures online. Do you agree with this ?

Not sure if anybody would say yes to this question but many would say that they have been able to make steady losses with gambling  Grin .
It has been discussed many times earlier to conclude that steady income with gambling is not possible because of the house edge.

Some house edge is 98% while other nice casino can take 97%, It's only impossible to gain steady income from a casino that has a house edge of 100%. The way professionals go about it is by, first discovering the house edge of the casino. Then calculating, the house edge with their bank roll, can help the player, determine what's on the table to profit. Definitely, a frugal gambler has a slim chance of profiting from the hideous structure of house edge. Constructed to always milk profits from unconscious gamblers, who don't research about the house edge of the casino they patronize. So, it's rare to make steady income via gambling. But, concluding that it's impossible is not right. Players with high bank rolls make this possible. And earn steady income. I'm sure of the losses that follows after winning big. The whole money still goes back to gamble. Smart gamblers should be aware of the importance of being street ahead of the house, unlike the inane thought of regular gamblers, losing control after few wins. Our moves at all cost, should be calculated. When to take a next step and the right moment to stop for the day. While away, gamblers are expected check in and out to figure out their mistake. Not to repeat similar unrealistic strategies. The hard work required to make steady income through gambling, had, gamblers trust the famous saying that it's impossible to switch their gambling habit into a full time job.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 23, 2023, 02:24:04 PM
Do you take these Psychic predictions seriously?

Nah, I'm more into racking up wins on the regular rather than banking on a one-time jackpot. Skills are my own tool for securing those victories. If I ever think about trusting in a psychic, it'd probably be for a lottery shot. But let's be realistic, it's all just wishful thinking. Being too grounded in reality when it comes to gambling and leaning on skill-based games makes more sense to me.

Truth be told, if this psychic power stuff were legit, we'd see a ton of folks swimming in riches, including those psychics themselves. They'd be cleaning up at the tables and cashing in big time. So, in my book, it doesn't add up.

Gambling can't be predicted correctly at all time, even the psychic can't maintain consistent winning. That's why believing in such things won't be reasonable. A responsible gambler is meant to possess his personal skill. Which works in yielding him wins. Those spirituality aspect of prediction, can work maybe twice. And stops. A typical reason why many gamblers who initially, patronized their services, don't go back to them anymore. Although, few lotto players get lucky to see random opportunities from a physic's prediction. With the few people that talked about winning through their prediction, it's certain that the condition of the psychic won't let them to participate in gambling. Many of them spend time alone, communicating with the outside world. As they claim to see the future. Hence, it's still okay, you don't see a lot of them swimming in riches. Where I disagree with them, is, the gamblers who visit them, should have been the richest amongst other gamblers. Making lots of profits from sport games. Addition, to what you said, gambling requires our brain power, and time to analyze games. The psychic aspect of it, still relies on luck. Because the event hasn't occurred, what the seer saw could be changed or just a hallucination. Risk also follows it, the player can stake whooping amount, believing that the seer is 100% accurate. I don't think it worth the stress. Gambling should be natural. Players shouldn't go extra mile, other than enjoying their habits. The predictions initiated by us, can be very accurate. And that of a psychic, flimsy.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 22, 2023, 11:49:30 PM
It's quite difficult for such a gambler to get the financial assistance they seek. In the online gambling community, people are told to gamble responsibly. Hence, when they refuse to adhere by the primary advise, others would hardly help the person, in need. The question is close to the incident of a boy who played his school fees and rushed back to the casino to forgive him and fund him back. Seriously, these players, as fellow gamblers, already are known to waste the money. I don't think anybody will crowdfund an irresponsible gambler. They're possibilities he isn't a gambler and manipulates the results to gain pity online. If it's a person I've known, and their behavior proves otherwise. He may get a different treatment. But, online on social media; the society are more likely to ignore the player. Unlike in the real life situation. Once he finishes from the environment and doesn't get any support. I don't think, the gambler would find love elsewhere, online. Reasons, behind this carelessness on the gambler. Is to teach him of the importance of managing his money properly. Doesn't it look inappropriate to wager our house rent, school fees etc on gambling.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 9 Years Before He finally claim his lotto rewards on: November 22, 2023, 09:54:35 PM
My questions are :
Do you think it's worth the wait, he's getting 6% interest per annum but he still has to pay a lot of money and suffers a lot even to the point of having a rift with his daughter
Will you do the same thing and fight for your rights to claim the prize
The price is quite huge for an average individual who hasn't figured it all out yet so I will say it's really worth it because that money will goa long way to help him fix certain things and I feel it will definitely be enough to cover up for all the damages incurred in cause of the fight.

Honestly nine years was really along wait and it did took a different kind of patience to still be on the case but the end did justified the means, it was really worth the wait and fight, personally I would fight for my prize but honestly how long I will stay in the fight is one thing I can't really tell for now but then the amount was worth the fight and the six percent he is to receive annually is a plus which adds up to still be a fair enough deal.

Out of context, I'd like to know if you'd use the same phrase on bold, if the lotto company won the case? Following up a case, isn't simple and the long duration it took him to win, describe the man as a never say never type of person. I've read lots of gamblers attesting to the strong persistence of the man. With the look of things, he's not alone, but many gamblers would have given up the funds long ago. Or maybe gamble with the funds he used in pursuing the case. Was wondering, if he still gambled while fighting for his justice. Could it be his retirement plan on gambling. The stress he passed, may not let him consider gambling again. He wouldn't want to come across similar troubles in future. Grown people are always strict about their decision. If he did stop gambling, it'll be great for him. Maybe it's a away of granting him indefinite break on gambling. On the other hand, the court did their best, by mandating a 6 percents annual payment of compensation.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 22, 2023, 08:56:08 PM
There exist a famous saying; seeing is believing. But, I'd rephrase it to experience is believing. People talk about receiving prediction for lotto number, from mentally disabled people. And when they play it, the number always happen to be accurate. Since, I've never tried it myself, and won't do it, believing in such a vague practice will be rare. It's thoroughly an act of taking gambling a bit too far. Psychic betting is more like a form of abuse on the predictor or seer. Especially, when they're suffering from illness. And most gamblers who practice this, never appreciate the mentally disordered person with any gift. They still go about broadcasting the news of what transpired between them and the psychic. However, not all psychic are mentally disordered, yet using supernatural powers to predict games can have its repercussions on the gambler. As gamblers, it's our responsibility to book games using our brain or buying booked games from vendors. Going beyond this two method, down to visit mystics doesn't sound nice. As we are not sure of the sources of their powers or how they found themselves in that state of life. Sometimes they still fail to get the correct prediction. But, if their predictions are accurate, the gambler will only have to frequent their shrine. Therefore, putting no thinking effort on their own. All they could do is run to the psychic, if they have need of staking a game. And such things shouldn't be abused.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 22, 2023, 08:31:57 PM
I've not had such thoughts, as it's very risky. And requires lots of income, but the gambler would be filled with boredom. Having to gambling round the clock, devising decisions and ideas, not to run short of profits. Professional gamblers, successfully achieve this lifestyle. Yet, most of them wouldn't advise anybody to take that way of earning a living. I'm not sure online gambling guarantees such a livelihood. Out of the gamblers, whom made steady income via gambling, none was through online gambling. Most of them were comp members that earned points each time they wager huge amount. They lived in a free hotel room, ushered to them by the casino. Reducing the rate of distraction, the gamblers lived like that for months. Definitely, we'll get tired of gambling for a long period each day. Gambling became their work. Truthfully, it's not encourageable. There is more to life, than focusing every single hour thinking on gambling strategies, to stay relevant, and make more money. Imagining achieving this by not investing all your time, isn't possible. I don't think, I'll be able to venture into it, even if I reach to that level of gambling.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 22, 2023, 08:06:03 PM
Being an active player does not mean you will have the best of gambling experience for winning and it's increased chances always, base on experience from other concerned gamblers, they can tell that the more you're trying all yours best to avoid loosing by being active in gambling regularly the more you're liable to keep having same losses on a repeated occassions if care is not taken, gambling is not that predictable.

It is understandably so that the more you play in gambling the more you may lose but at same time there are days that are profiting days at least I have witnessed it from other gamblers offline you attested to a winning streak after which they run off with some profit after the losses started coming. I believe not every day is a bad day but those few times that are good days they are the lucky times we can get some profit and we need to have control incase of running off when the losses start to build up.
Are you now preaching greed in gambling? See, gambling should be well planned, it's not something that should be played without control, or else, the person would blame himself. What you just narrated has put me into trouble many times in trading and it's a very good reason why I kept my cool against such in gambling, and this has been working well for me not to overplay but rather preserve my account. The mindset of the so-called good day is the reason why some people continue to play and play until they lose their fortunes on that same day. It might be good at first but if you do not exercise caution and self-control, it might be bitter before you end the betting for the day. It doesn't matter if a day is either good or bad, it's better for gamblers to have plans and know their budgetary limits in order to be able to exercise control in any gambling situation.

Funny, gamblers attribute a good day, as one where they got their most win. But, I wonder if a day passes when we don't lose bets. Such believe has frantically pushed some gamblers to make silly predictions. Hoping to see a win result, because it's their good day. Your idea of having plans as a gambler, regardless of the outcome of the game, is excellent. However, there is always a room for re strategizing our steps, whenever the initial plans isn't working out. It's quite better to run off with the profits, instead of wagering all the win at a go. At a given moment, we as gamblers are obliged to adore our wins, by taking profits. All the money is not meant for the house alone. Moving away with our profits, is also a self control. And not every gambler would be disciplined enough to withstand the pressure of trying again, after winning big. Whatever result that follows, lose or win, can ruin the fun of the initial win. If they lose they'll try again, to regain the lost money, and vice versa, to win more.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 22, 2023, 07:27:08 PM
I sometimes think that the reason why a player cannot give up games is simply laziness. He wants to get rich and do nothing, pressing a couple of buttons while looking at the monitor, although we all know the value of money and how difficult it is to get, especially not in rich countries. Before that, he will wake up well-rested because he doesn’t have to go to work.

Sure, it'd be nice to earn bucks without breaking a sweat.  But that lazy dream ain't reality and  making bank takes hustle no matter where you live.  Even casino games take skill and effort to win big.  And for most folks gaming wont pay the bills anyway.

It takes struggle to change a habit. The laziness in your context should be generally categorized on every factor needed to quit gambling. Since they earn little in gambling and lose more, what's there to stay between a rock and a hard place? Both sides of the coin doesn't seem favorable anymore. When they try, fear of who to run to, embraces them with both hands. Erupting a double trouble in their inner subconscious. They'll miss their therapy sessions, as they can't express the pains once in the therapy room. Difficulty clusters them, they're on the defensive side of the struggle. We all, think differently of what we haven't seen or watch others go through. The deniable nature of friends, depress them to a maximum point of voluntary isolation. Thereby leaving the addict, in a world of shadows. Black and blank. Still hitting those unforegoable buttons, as the only natural companion, left. The skills and effort to win big, less bothers them. They are eager to change, but helps is not forthcoming. Lame people would blame them, for instigating suffer on themself. These are unerasable emotional trauma. Ever spent time with a survived addict? He'll keep lamenting on the ill treatments he received, while in his struggle to change. I understood, that while addicted, the ball, to change, isn't in their court anymore. It's now a mental disorder, and requires adequate attention, to save the addict from a fatal and fearsome life situation.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 22, 2023, 06:53:00 PM
I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?

To be honest in the past I have spent a lot of money gambling. What I mean here is that I spent all my savings on gambling. Maybe the nominal amount is not that big but it makes me feel like a gambling addict. I spent 5 months of my savings on gambling. Currently I am aware and am in the stage of improving my own financial condition. Have you ever felt like a gambling addict? and how much did you lose in gambling?
I have never been a gambling addict partly because I had so much financial obligations that needed to be settled with my savings thus I only funded my gambling account with little fund once that account is exhausted through losses incurred on betting that means I will have to wait till the end of the month before refunding that account again with that I can't be addicted to gambling, even if I have extra funds in my savings I don't think I can easily lure or influenced into becoming addiction because I had disciplined myself in term of finance by having a monthly budget where I account every penny spent.

You've got a nice method of controlling your money, as a gambler. Do you think of depositing more funds, if your financial obligations reduces? Because, I was thinking the financial responsibility facing you, influenced this mean self control of yours. However, it's indeed a useful gambling advise for addicts. Every gambler is meant to have other activities that should influence their financial economy. It's challenging, tough and difficult to break free from addiction. Even when we do, the underlying piece of troubles associated to neglected financial obligations, bounces back on the person like a rubber ball. But, this time harder than before. Where would he begin to solve his problems. Imagine losing five months of earnestly deserved riches in gambling, alone. It's more like, living a life of gambling. Having no other utility that entices the addicted person, until it does. Maybe after being healed. Endlessly thinking of the cheerless, conflicting and confusing repercussion of any addiction, leaves me with one choice, gamble responsibly. I don't foresee a future, where a glimpse of opportunity would be made available for gambling addiction, in my years of gambling. Though it's not easy to predict the future, but such a rock of trouble is crushable. The damages of gambling addiction, should be avoided like a plague.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Carreer skill benefit of gambling on: November 22, 2023, 06:05:59 PM
I may be seeing things wrongly, because what I see is that most people who are involved in gambling are people who focus too much on games and move away from other people and as a consequence of this attitude they move away from other people. , they become people with serious problems socializing with other people, this happens even with a person who has been in a job for many years and when they start to play games of chance or even normal games, I'm talking about computer games, Playstation, xbox and other consoles the person starts to dedicate all their time to games and starts to distance themselves from the workplace. for example, let's say a person works in a company for more than 10 years and in these 10 years he has made many friends

On the weekends he goes out with his work friends to have fun, but one day he discovers casino games and starts playing, he has to work on weekdays so he has little time to play, so he starts playing all day on weekends and telling his friends at work not to look for him because he is busy, this type of behavior can be seen in many people who work and then get involved with games, and it doesn't stop there, After he starts to ignore his friends, he starts to ignore his relatives and if he has a wife and children, he also starts to ignore them. Even in cases where the person is not yet dominated by addiction, the behavior of this gambling is exactly as I described.

By this I mean that I do not agree that players are very social people who can think critically, to have critical thinking they would need to be people who are more focused on their work and who pay a lot of attention to the company's employees and how the company works, something that It's difficult for many players, because they just focus on the games, the only thing that goes through their heads is that they finish their job early and they rush to play early. I saw some people in my country who are like this, they always think that the days must pass quickly to get to the weekend because there is no work at the company on the weekends, so they have more time on the weekends to play.

The brain works differently for every player, and not all would possess the benefits gotten through gambling. Many players already envision gambling as a bad habit hence, they careless about its benefits. Your illustration best describes naive indoor gamblers, who, by locking themself in a room, are moved by the funds over the fun and benefits they could earn. Wishing to be left alone. Young video game players, face this type of challenge. Yet, contrarily, they'll still find it very fun to discuss the game with peers, who also have the game. PC games and online gambling can help critical thinking, but derails socializing. Especially with non gamer. Why do CEOs and top managers of companies participate in offline gambling? because they're lots of gamblers topping their industry. I've played Poker with managers topping US companies. And they've been gamblers even before reaching the managerial seat. I made this point, to help readers understand that despite being gamblers they still climbed ahead of others in the company. How do you expect such a player in your illustration to be successful. If they can't control their gambling habit. In gambling and in their work place they'll definitely fail. There is always lots of time for people to gamble. These type of people bring bad name to gambling. Because they lack being focused in executing their daily task. It doesn't happen to gamblers alone. Take for instance, an employee that has an appointment to see his girlfriend during the weekend. If he has less self control, wouldn't he act like the gambler you just described? Such people can't delay gravity, and it has nothing to do with gambling or video games.

If you enter gambling out of desperation, it’s the same as simply throwing money into a burning fire. I will never go for such players. As for me, I bet on football matches to get a little fun and excitement in the game. It even brings a little joy, but not despair.

As well, gamblers who allow desperation to have a better part of them are those who gamble more than they can afford and so they try to chase back those loses. Gambling is not a source of income or living but a trier to multiply our bankroll so we can't afford to do gambling like all our lives depends on the winning for survival. Do a budget of the bankroll and when you exhaust it without winning then rest and play next time, this is the reasonable practice to gambling and that will not cause any gambler to be desparate but more people will get to that level if they keep depending on gambling to survive in this harsh economy.
Taking a break after a significant loss is smart, but reason can't always overcome our emotions. I would even say that almost never, this is the main idea of gambling. I know that some professional players who have been making money from gambling for many years (and we know very, very few of them) can continue to play even after a strong loss. Probably it was tilt, but this is what distinguishes a professional: this can happen to him no more than 3 times a year and he always says what he feels in order to understand whether tilt affects his decision-making or not. I stopped playing with high stakes because I know that I have no advantage with smart decisions over the gambling platform.

Professional players continue playing due to their time limitation strategy. The number of losses can't change their decision to gamble for 5 hours. It's actually the difference and they can decide to reduce wagered amount. Not to fall for a pitiful loss. Which failure, can remove the concept of time limitation, and render little time frame for the player to enjoy his game. Chasing losses with huge amount of money, to gain back immediately a favorable win. Dwindles the money meant to last a duration of 5 hours. So, when we refuse to be controlled by the number of losses. We still have better hands over the gambling platform. As the house are two to three steps ahead of the player. Maintaining low wager is a game changing idea. The shabby trick, players fail to understand, despite being overused, is that the casino tend to give winning results with the little wager. It remains their familiar method of convincing the player, he could win better if he staked huge amount. Old methods used by the house still perfectly works, is the cunning and funny aspect of gambling. Any player who begins to monitor these known recurring methods, will definite outshine the house. But, as they devise their usual strategy, players childishly fall for them. Due to lack of attention, greed and being carried away. Even their emotional being don't remind them of the next action to take. Thereby leading the player to wager high amount. Once, the player understands those tricks, he'll see the displayed win as a trap. A pretty nice psychological way of swallowing the players funds. Hence, the player should calculate and think twice before making any move. Falling for the magic behind win or lose, isn't a right choice for any gambler.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 21, 2023, 11:54:04 PM
I was totally innocent about gambling until one of my friends taught me about this. Well, at first was happy because the time I tried, I was lucky that I won some and so I said to myself that there is easy money in gambling. But all the happy moments ended when the situation turned the opposite as I continued gambling, not a single bet I placed had won anymore and very unfortunate that all of my allowance had been lost already. That was the time I realized that gambling doesn't make you money if you are hungry already to win and even blamed myself.

It's interesting you didn't blame the other gambler, similar story like myself. But, I didn't try immediately, due to some barriers like funds. If at the period, I tried and won like you did. I'd definitely feel very happy. Was it your first time making money? Your action seemed very naive, as you didn't think anymore and thought gambling is as simple as winning on your first stake. In some situation, if the player had more money, he won't quit. The fun would be gone by then, meaning business would be his next action. He could make the worst mistake of his life. Imagine, if the allowance hadn't ended, the house would've taken more. Such example, explain the importance of setting money aside for gambling. Wagering with all the money we've got isn't advisable. As regret must follow. The house takes everything, and it's normal with gambling.

A man loses control when he allows excitement to completely take over his mind.

When some gamblers win money from gambling, they will get excited and will want to keep on gambling. When people like that start losing money, they won’t want to give up, they will have the belief that they have won before, and if they don’t give up, they are still going to win back all the amount they have lost. That’s why some people get addicted to gambling just because of one good win that they once had, they will have confidence to win again even if they lose frequently.

And some gamblers do get addicted to gambling just because of their frequent losses, they will find it difficult to stop gambling because of the amount they have lost, they will always be hearts broken whenever they calculate the amount they lost, they will want to keep on gambling, hoping to hit a Jack pot in a day that they might never hit.

That thought of how much we've spent gambling, can be settled with the number of wins and losses that followed. If the number of losses are way too higher than the wins. The player can re-strategize. Gambling out of the disappointment feelings due to the litany of losses, we've had. Will be detrimental to the gambler; effects more losses. As the player won't gamble with clear thoughts anymore. One big mistake of gamblers is, gambling with an unclear mind. Their decisions won't be practically effective. Thereby, staying angrier at every single lose that appears on the screen. Talking about excitement, it's a recurrent problem with humans. There is an advice; don't take decisions when you're too happy or sad. The state of mind must be balanced. Once excited, gamblers wager double the amount they used to gamble. Sooner, the whole funds travels, with speed of light, back to the house. The anxiety worsens, when the gambler remembers he didn't enjoy a dime of the money he won. It's an involuntary action for the brain to trigger excitement, when we win. To tackle making bad decision, the player can withdraw a specific percentage of the money. Then wager more until the rest gets exhausted. Luckily, if he wins again, he can repeat the same thing or wager them all, till he's satisfied with the fun, he's got.

Look, spreading his photos around his street, like a lost person, wouldn't solve the difficult problem. He is struggling with addiction and this method can't stop him. By any means he'll be eligible to gambling outside his province. Inviting him to order, is the best tool required to fix a broken person. Although, it's not simple, as it'll need his cooperation. Reading the story, he failed to cooperate with his parents, and it led to a public disgrace of the young gambler. If they had a second thought, working on his resistant would solve a bit of his problem of avoiding them, if he did. Have a rethink on if the boy doesn't return home again forever. Who is going to feel the most pain? his parents of course, as relatives would flood them with millions of questions about their son's where about. It's indeed a shame, but we need to control our actions towards our wards. No matter what they do, they still are our loved ones. His parents are acting out of fear. The reason, because gambling has destroyed many homes. Their son is doing it already, improvising a solution as that as their all. Elaborates how unprepared they are in stopping the bad habit of their son. Investing anger on the boy, will only get them extra disgrace in future. Nobody cares if he wins big later, like OP said. What matters is changing him, first. After that, the family can send him to learn skill. Distracting him from any thought of moving back into gambling.
But at least they are really making or doing some action for them to be able to completely stop one of their family members that had already become addicted to gambling.
It might be looking to be pointless but this is one of the way that they are showing love since they do really care on you then doesnt matter if they would really be making or doing
things which is really just that good for you. It might be somewhat no sense on letting those gambling places prohibits you on gambling just because your family
had told them about on doing so then it is really that shows on how much they do care.It might really be looking that it is too much but it is actually that something
that you could say that your family loves you on which they did really go into such extent.

It's better than not doing anything, yes. We both know that it'll piss the gambler off. When their help affects the addicted person emotionally, would it be seen as help anymore? No. I understand it's their personal way of being caring to their loved one, but that doesn't look like kindness. This is just my opinion, and I'll express my feeling in a way it'll suit me. We all, not sure for you, have been through some misunderstanding with family. And when they extend it to third parties, it always doesn't end well. Nothing is too much for a family to settle internally. Unless the boy appreciates what his parents did. The voice on your text, sound like a situation where the boy is seeking help. Even if he's seeking help from his parent, at some point he'll regret such a rigorous idea of publishing his face on gambling houses. But, from the thread, he wasn't asking for help. I think he's into addiction and not yet ready to quit gambling. Hence, applying the tough strategy won't melt the heart of the gambler. If he already wants to change, and agreed with his parents to do it on his behalf. It'll be better understood by everyone, that stands with the idea of the boy's reputation being mishandled by his parents. Whatever is happening today can determine our future. Who would hire him? even though he changes. The whole neighborhood now know of his bad habit. He'll be ashamed of returning to the street.

Personally, I've experienced these two, in my daily conversation with people. And realized that my responses are now more effective than it used to be in the past, before I began gambling. I'd always think fast and respond accurately what the next person wants to hear. And most times it makes them laugh.  Grin

There are other benefits of gambling, and how it has helped your gambling life. It'll be great if you shared some of it with us. Cheers.
It would be depending on what kind of gambling activity you are dealing with but since you are dealing with physical gambling on which you would be going against with other player then there's no doubt that
you could be having that socialization but i dont see for it to be the sole reason on why you have enhanced yourself in speaking about socialization considering that we are dealing with things
on day to day basis on which we might not be aware that it is already enhancing our socialization with other people but if you do see that your gambling involvement did make out some change
then its good for you. Same goes for critical thinking on which its not only gambling that would be able to enhance your critical thinking on which we know that we could really be able to enhance
this thing naturally if we wanted to.

This is why i would say that it is really that a little bit irrelevant if we do speak about enhancement of these specific areas of a person on which we know
that these things could be acquired into other method and we might not really just that wary of it.

One factor can't change a person, there are lots of other things that helped to advance my critical thinking skill and interpersonal communication skill. Gambling with friends is one of the multiple factors. Provided we hang out and discuss with people, our interpersonal skill may increase. Yet, we require critical thinking to contribute effectively to conversations and answer difficult questions. Thereby, building more network with mutual friends. Communicating with new people in the gambling house, helps us create a feeling of not being afraid to begin a conversation with people we just met. It could end well or be the best conversation we've ever had. Gambling helps me to think better, especially black roulette game, which I play in my private time. It's one game that improves my brain power to reason uniquely, when required to hit an outside the box idea. And these skills are not common kind of skills you can read in books and master them, without practicing it. Yes, solving mathematical exercises, taking quiz etc can help critical thinking. But, this thread is showing the benefits of gambling as regarding critical thinking. Not saying it's the only form of being a critical thinker. Isn't it great that we learn and boost our skills through gambling? same activity everyone thinks, nothing good can be made out of it.
