What are y'all using the gridseeds for anyways? Multipools?

for mining, doesn't matter if it's single or multi pool.

A soldering gun probably wont work here. Your going to need a pretty fine pencil tip and a steady hand.

Something like this may work but I'm waiting a week to see how things go before modding my 10.

http://www.amazon.com/Wall-Lenk-L25K-Watt-Soldering/dp/B000M2UXTE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395424899&sr=8-1

I have my soldering station and some communications wire ready. Just waiting to see what the outcome is in a week or so also.

something like this.
http://www.aoyue.com/en/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=465
soldering station will work but if your gonna do a resistor swap highly recommend the hot air re work station.

Yes it will just be for the bridge, I've got a soldering iron just like the one next to the hot air station of the picture

Less than 24 hours until the launch and im really looking forward to it, how high can the price go when its launched? Its going to be interesting.

only time will tell, but hopefully there will not be so much whales mining it so that the us smaller ones can have a chance
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 280x Giveaway | Deposit Bonus | Trade FREE during Beta | agx.io on: March 21, 2014, 08:56:31 PM
I hope more people will come to agx cause not so much buy/sell offers right now for the coins, not much volume yet.

I also hope the website will become faster because it takes time to load when you change from one tab to an other.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 21, 2014, 08:54:54 PM
Hard fork this Dev. Slow down the mining. 636,000 new coins mined since launch.

http://explorer.spaincoin.org/chain/Spaincoin?count=20

this is insane, diff has been as low as 10 and high as 550 today, wtf? somebody is gaming the shit out of KGW

yes I've seen that too, I had some decent mining like a few days ago, and since a while I was like getting no coins, went to check the diff and was like WTF?

there is no copyrights in cryptocoins,
there is no real coin and there is no fake coin,
the one which gets adopted and used will win.

pretty true statement.

only the stong ones survive, and usually it's the ones having the biggest community behind them that supports a coin. But even then, if it's not adopted then it's not going to survive.

yeah I have one like this with very thin tip, but mine is 40w. let us know if it worked with that
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: March 21, 2014, 06:56:24 PM
I'm chillin and seeing what others do in the long run with these volt mods. The only thing I'm doing is disconnecting the fans but I'm running in scrypt only so they are running just fine.

I'm with ya Wolfey.

Don't wait too long though; else the gridseeds will already become obsolete when the next model (1M+) comes out... I'd say in 3 months

but for what price?? Wink could still be more affordable to have two or 3 of the actual ones runing

Don't forget the KnCs coming with 100Mh+ ... wouldn't be surprised if a few of them are already up and running in UAT/QA and mining stuff

sure and they are not the only ones www.mining-asics-technologies.com also are coming with them ( I'm Dutch and this is a Dutch company )

I belive that they will be reliable especially that they are parnered up with a very big German chip producer.

let's just hope that all the "little" people with GPU rigs and some gridseeds can still play the game a bit, and that this wont become just one market for the elite
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 21, 2014, 06:52:57 PM
We all know that the Multipool's going to do great things for BlackCoin, once it's released. However, I don't think everyone realizes how much of a difference it's going to make.

The numbers thrown out for yesterday's (March 19, 2014) mining ranged from 10GH/s to nearly 400GH/s. It's quite safe to assume that the massive dropoff near the end was caused by the frontend issues the site was having (for those that weren't there, the miner pages were entirely inaccessible for the latter portion of the "launch"). Because of that, I'm going to make a somewhat conservative (depending on how you look at it) estimation of 200GH/s if the pool was as polished as the new version is reported to be.

If that 200GH/s was maintained for a solid 24 hour period, that would net somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000 and $1,000,000 worth of altcoins, according to http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency. Let that sink in for a second. BlackCoin's current market cap is roughly $1,300,000. That's a ton of buy orders.

Never realised that the multipool could double the merket cap on its own.
Need to buy more cheap coins asap, plz dump  Wink

The time of cheap coins could be over now, was glad to get some more @2900 sat yesterday.
If all goes right we would never see a price <3000 any more.

At least I hope so. Could be that whales try to make another P&D before the MP goes finally up.

Still we must be aware of panic selling after rumours etc. Remember the last one well with Radiostatic leaving and IRC rumours made it a big drop in price.

This is one of the reasons BC is still so cheap to acquire. Once the panic is gone and previous BC multipool beta tests are history, the price will not be 3,000 satoshi any more.

Yeah I bought some at 3150 today, hopefully time will make BC mature and go to a nice steady value

Just sold 4 or 5 days of doge and bought noble. Smiley

Got new R9-270 today and trying to get it to run off of a PCI slot (YUP that's right). I have drivers installed and Miner recognizing card but refused to hash so far. Sad May be the mobo. Probably because It's a winblows machine. I may have to go Linux. Heading back to play with it some more.

don't see why windows is the problem, alot are runing windows on their rigs

So... I have my miners  hooked up and running...
Lights say they are mining... Blinking Green, Solid Red
Screen Looks like its mining...  Lots of "accepted"  but (0.00 kh/s ) in front of (Yay!!!)
No Hash rate showing at Pool after 30 min.

Any ideas?

what soft are you runing to mine? cpuminer does not show speed

remember asics are not neccesairily a bad thing. they help secure the blockchain and make it harder to do a 51% attack.

Asics are not a bad thing. The only important question i can raise is whether you want NobleCoin to be available for the common user?
By that I refer to the high hashrates required to mine bitcoins. My opinion would be that those high hashrates are only for the wealthy people and do not match the intentions of NobleCoin.

I agree 100% on this, seems now only the fortunate can afford the miners that are coming out soon, I certainly cannot pull out 5000 or 10.000$ or more just to have the pleasure to mine.

I dont see the mining only as $$ making but also as a hobby and something entertaining.

I can afford gridseeds but what if these become obsolete already with the outcome of MH TH PTH miners that cost a fortune then us "little ones" wont be able to participate in any of this no more, except trading and that's not that fun imho

I'm pretty new in the Alt coins and discovered the BlackCoin, looks really promising so bought myself some coins today.

Keep up the good work and hopefully this will be a very big succes.
