1561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 20, 2022, 09:55:34 PM
Many people who enter the world of crypto trading start with their greed because they see people who have had great success through crypto trading.
greed makes them rush to jump in and start trading without exploring it first. and they lose because of their greed.

Are you one of those who have experienced it?

me: yes
This is something that happens in every aspect of our lives, we see things that others have achieved and we would want to achieve the same thing without even knowing how far it took them to be able to achieve such. Due to reasons like this, a lot of people has been misled in the cryptocurrency trading market. They always try to rush things, they don’t even have patience and they don’t take calculated risk at all.
Yeah, you would see newbies who would join the market and they would quickly start investing all their money, forgetting that there are risks that are involved and that they are likely to lose their money in the market. Also when you tell most of them how long it will take them to be able to achieve such feats, they start losing interest immediately, or feel discouraged, because they are looking for a quick means of making that money.
1562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 20, 2022, 09:15:23 PM
I wouldn't call it out as a bear market, most likely we skip and repeat similar action to 2021.   More optimistically this can be labelled as revision and consolidation, much like when you learn something to train better in that subject sometimes the market requires to know better its users, its customers and even speculators.   Revising prior price action in this way helps to build volume and its actually a bullish formation longer term.
BTC is a longer term product more then we realize, its easily appearing something else due to often sharp rises and general volatility.  I think we require this year of steady price introspection, dont assume negative conclusions just because its not immediately positive.
Accumulation as well. We could call this one accumulation and that is a very real thing in the crypto world. Sometimes prices go down, it stays there for a while, whales end up buying small by small without hyping the market, then they buy a ton and pay millions to news agencies to promote crypto again and suddenly you see bitcoin news everywhere and price skyrockets and gets to a new ATH and suddenly they get out.

They don't even do it right after ATH neither, they do it a bit afterwards, like maybe 10-20% higher. That's how you make a profit, that's how whales do it. This could be very well an accumulation phase for crypto right now and in the future we could see it go higher. Let's assume for a second that you are a very wealthy person, you have houses and all other things, so you do not worry about money, wouldn't you risk it like this as well?
1563  Economy / Economics / Re: US inflation jumped 7% in December as prices rise at rates unseen in decades on: January 19, 2022, 09:48:20 PM
I am not surprised about this case, because when something becomes a trend and there is a high demand for it, there is also the possibility that the price or the value will increase, higher than it was before. So, lithium has now increased in value and that is because of the demand for it has also increased. Before when there was nothing like EV, and no one really cared much about lithium, the price was low and that was because the demand wasn’t much.

But, since the demand now is getting much and there are lots of companies now jumping on the production of EV, then you should also see the value increase as well to match the level of demand that there is. That is just the case here, and it would still go further.
I believe that this new increase is mainly due to the fact that 2020 and 2021 had a big problem with people going out, which in return meant oil prices dropped, at one point I remember something like negative, like literally pay to hold it let alone can earn from it. So now that we are back on track and now that we are working again and everything is nearly back to normal (even though covid is not done, it is getting better), that resulted with people using more and more oil.

So, oil companies went from "we need to halt all oil production because it worths nothing now!" to "we need to find more oil!!" in a single year, and that resulted with lack of oil, and obviously the price skyrocketed. Eventually the production and the demand will see eye to eye and that is when everything will be normally priced again, will take a while but it will surely happen.
1564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Supercycle or Halving cycle still? on: January 19, 2022, 09:02:41 PM
this is the reason speculators here are not expecting another bloodbath but sustaining market conditions which will get us this cycle to be an unique one. But, profit booking will definitely happen but having profit booking after 10x or 20x growth and up to 50% correction may not be a concern. Hence usual halving cycle will persist even we are having differently long duration based super cycle this time.

As of now, market is still into sideways movement; it will slowly get into supercycle but if it keeps correcting from the current price levels then we can say it would be normal halving cycle but without a 10x growth.
I believe that speculators are trying to convince people opposite of what they actually believe. If you could convince everyone to sell and you buy afterwards, that is a good deal, if you make everyone believe it will go up and make them buy then you can sell at the top.

Speculators do not want to be right, they want to be wrong, because if they are "wrong" on their statement then they can go against what they said and make a lot of money. Otherwise we could all buy and say it will go up and if we all buy then it will really go up, that is how the market works and then we would all be making a good amount of money. That is not what they really want, that is a bit difficult to navigate.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A quick question!! on: January 17, 2022, 09:45:48 PM
Elon Musk influence on Dogecoins seems to have dropped, why ?
The request for some rich person to increase your coins worth is the main reason why you should not get into crypto in the first place. If you are asking for some rich person to help you out, just go and beg him to give you money. He has done it before, but he has a lot of money, like literally 300+ billion dollars networth, just write under his tweets to give you money and beg him to pay you something decent.

There is no difference at all between begging him to give you some money versus you hoping he would tweet something that would increase the price of dogecoin. Dogecoin is a shitcoin, it has been a shitcoin for YEARS now, and just because Elon tweeted about it, doesn't change that fact and if your entire reason to buy it was Elon, then you kind of deserve to lose money.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 17, 2022, 07:16:20 PM
Investing in a new project is still worth it, in fact, I have a second set of portfolios exclusively for new coins, mostly play to earn coins, and blockchain-based projects, as long as you dig deep in the project and you will not feel depressed on the outcome of the project, I don't see any wrong investing in a new coin, it's great to be one of the early bird of one good project where you can make 1000% return after a few months or year of holding, just like what happens to Solana early birds.
I do not agree with you on this one. I mean if you are investing only a small portion that you do not care about then it could be true but if you are investing a big amount then it is not a smart move at all. I get that you may think what you buy will end up like Solana but the reality is that for every 1000 coins that come out, there is just one solana. Which is why most of the investments you do into new projects needs to be very careful.

I am not saying that you can't, but the odds are very low and you need to research and find those good ones very carefully, otherwise you are going to end up losing a lot of money. I have seen a lot of people losing a total of millions of dollars in new coins, so it is not really something I am unaware of, it is a topic I am very well aware and seen with my own eyes so new projects are very risky and it is obvious.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Backer really important for a new project? on: January 17, 2022, 05:50:55 PM
I am developing my project. My relationships always say that backers are important. But I have seen many backers that bring no value to the project. Fb posts only bring 50-100 likes. What I'm interested in is:
- If there are no good backers, should I choose any backers?
- I raised $300k from angel investors. The project's available capital is $100k. So what should I do?
- What if the project has no backer, but I have the capital. Will users rate it as a bad project?
You sound like you are trying to pre-announce your project in a hidden way or you must be overreacting about your investors. But, in my opinion, instead of wasting time on this, you must focus on developing your project and product so that people will keep faith on your words. Most project might be getting all the initial requirements like angel investors and regular investors and etc. But, when they fail to deliver their project, nothing will work for them.

Moreover, these things are insignificant when you are about to address a long lasting real life problem because people are looking for the resolution and not the price value initially so you do not need to waste time on over thinking about your investors.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 17, 2022, 01:23:25 PM
i want to ask that investing in new projects has worth or not because to many scams projects now a days and i am afraid of losing money.

i wanna invest in octafarm.fi and this project looks really amazing and unique and the team looks professional what you guys think about this i need suggestions may be you guys know better than me.
What are the chances for this coin alone not to be turning as a scam in near future?
Who knows, already it might be scam or might have been launched with the intention of pump to lure investors and then to dump. So, it would be better if you explain why you choose this particular coin even you are aware of all about the scam frequency of this altcoin industry.

It is always been suggested at every nook and corner of this forum to choose bitcoin alone or prefer bitcoin for 80 to 90% of your capital and for the rest of capital, you may go for top and reputed altcoins. Definitely everyone must avoid all new projects by letting them grow on its own.
1569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 17, 2022, 11:22:35 AM
As we have seen the bull market of 2021, history has shown there to be a following of a bear market in the next year (2022). What are your thoughts so far and how do you believe it will play out.
History does not need to repeat all the times.

By considering the level of adoption rate through hype among new people about bitcoin investment, there are possibilities to have longer than usual bullish trend in this cycle of bitcoin markets. When we are having next to next halving, due to lesser supply of bitcoin, the dominance of bulls in 4-year cycle of bitcoin market will be in rise.

This way, in upcoming cycles, we might be having bull run for all 4 years between halving and this will slowly lead to stable prices for bitcoin but it might happen after 5 to 10 halving.
1570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 16, 2022, 08:44:56 PM
Resistance has been built at the $40.000 mark, I don't believe it crash any further than that. Thus, chances are that we'll experience some time of bear market, staying relatively stable, within $40k-45k level, it has stayed there for quite some time now. To be honest, as it has been mentioned before, I don't really mind, we have a long way ahead of us, at least, for those who are patient enough.
The green we are seeing right now could be a dead cat bouncing as well, we should always be careful about it. I mean it doesn't mean that it will not be impossible for us to go up, it could very well happen but we just need to be careful. So, maybe it is a big increase that helps everyone out and we will not be going any lower at all, or maybe it will be something much worse and it will go down a lot and this was just a fake out.

We will never know this before it happens, many people will try to predict it but they will always fail to do so 100% all the time, some people will be right sometimes and wrong other times so we just need to face the fact that all possibilities are in fact are possible. Doesn't mean that it will not be available for any of us to take a stand accordingly, it usually goes up in the long run so buying never really hurts.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 16, 2022, 02:49:06 PM
Same thing for IPL. Yes, there are some competitors to IPL like the Big Bash, but IPL itself is way too big for anyone and the money put into it is huge. Players also benefit more than any other league.
The success of IPL should be related with population of India and the cricket followers from India. So, obviously IPL must be the leader in T20 leagues with userbase and revenue generations. Big Bash evolved into multiple level from how it was originated like they introduced women big bash and long tournament but not sure about its revenue.

IPL is the pioneer and highly paying league to players; ICC do allocate around 50 days for it every year which must be the enough proof to understand about how huge it is among all T20 leagues.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 16, 2022, 11:20:56 AM
Usman khawaja would love to tour Pakistan since he was born in Islamabad, Pakistan and moved to Aus later. The real point is whether CA will allow there team to travel to Pakistan or they will do something like NZ did last year? ENA countries (not SENA as South Africa has toured Pakistan) have serious issues in playing cricket in Pakistan.
Did Usman Kahawaja mention anything like that in any interview or it is just your thoughts based on his birth/migration history? When boards do feel about security concerns, I guess no professional player will have different opinion than their boards. For example, Afghanistan players now may prefer to participate in all possible T20 events world wide rather than visiting their native places. Still, everyone will love to play one their own soil and cannot be an exception but they must need to bind within their board rather than having different opinion.
1573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting Used to The Market Situation is The Key to Becoming a Reliable Trader. on: January 16, 2022, 10:05:55 AM
"Getting used to the market situation is the key to becoming a reliable trader. "
Yeah, you will become a profitable trader when you gain real time experiences. At the same time, getting used to different market scenario alone will not help you but you need to learn by heart on every situation so that you could take right decision which will end up in cutting losses or making decent profits. Simply, experience always helps traders as only time could get you that and nothing else.

here after I know the market is bullish or bearish then I become calmer and don't panic easily.
When you get solid analysis and then clear signals on price levels then you may able to remain calm as you are aware of what is going to happen and what you need to do when market goes against you. So, being skillful will help any trader to remain calm and successful.
1574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip! Told yah. on: January 16, 2022, 07:03:45 AM
For the professional they keep buying the dip but for newbie they keep selling their holdings because they are afraid that they loss more assets.
Yeah, professionals are not easily misguided by market fluctuations whereas naïve investor and traders are. Creating false chart patterns is a kind of trick by whales to manipulate the market which mostly ending up collecting individual's bitcoins by whales and institutions.

BTC seems to be bullish now. Market in this January may be still down, but hopefully, soon we will see the green market. I have bought the dip.
There are plenty of days left in this January month, hence the are possibilities to have net positive growth; buy current dips is recommended by most analysts still should not buy for all your funds; have plans for DCA.
1575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA instead of stop-loss on: January 16, 2022, 05:46:35 AM
in case that the market turns against me - I become an investor until I spot an opportunity to carry out a correctly calculated DCA (I've done it enough times that now I can be fairly certain when will it move in my desired direction and that the movement will be enough to recover and close the deal in green).
Yeah, that must be the best option for a trader can have on negative market direction. But, it will be possible only on following conditions:
1. DCA will be possible only with fundamentally stronger assets like bitcoin.
2. DCA is all about investment hence only on spot market possible with delivery (withdrawing to personal wallet).

It requires a lot of reserve, but hey - it goes to show that the 'up to 5%' rule really makes sense.
Yeah, if you are about to average your buying costs then you should never prefer to go all-in. It means that you will have some reserve always to buy more when dips happen.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do Casinos ask for so much during withdrawal? on: January 15, 2022, 08:51:00 PM
Why is it that when a player wins and wants to withdraw their winning the casino will begin to ask for info like source of funds, KYC etc. But they careless about asking for those information when the player is losing money in the platform.
Out of millions of gamblers, a casino cannot easily filter out abusers hence they allow everyone to gamble and and everyone to enjoy the stay. But, when it comes about withdrawing, they want to reward only the legit players and they treat withdrawing is a way to find and ban the abusers. So, do not wonder why casino is not bothering you until you win.

Agree or not, casinos are facing hundreds of abusers every single day and they still need to run their business profitable hence they need to follow some business model in a way which is not affecting their model of business hence asking questions when you are withdrawing is seems sensible in my opinion as well.
1577  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 15, 2022, 08:15:40 PM
Roshtain and Train have Obsidian rank accounts too, his crazy hilo bets made an easy wager to reach this level. Can't imagine his monthly and daily reloads with crazy wager.
Yes as we know Roshtein and Train uses sponsor money so we consider it fake Obsidian  Grin If you want to know the daily reload it's about 1 Bitcoin every day
Because Xposed with Diamond level get about 0.3 Bitcoin daily reload and can't guess their monthly. several times I saw aabb123123 live bets $200k per bet or 4 BTC equivalent all played at live casino roulette, this is the hallmark of a real players never play slots.
Interestingly it is nearly 5 bitcoins worth nowadays considering it's closer to 40k each then 50k each. And yes, people who are wealthy will always out gamble the people who are just getting sponsorship. If you are given that money then you do not know how that money was earned and for you it is fake money and you will gamble accordingly and your wagering will not be that big for too long of a time, it will be big for a while but that's about it.

Whereas when you are whale of your own making, then you know how you earned it and you know life before you were wealthy as well and you know how precious money is so you may still gamble it away, but at least you will be very careful with it as well. Otherwise you know what the risks are and you know where you will end up if you become poor again, hence why you are careful when you are gambling.
1578  Economy / Economics / Re: US inflation jumped 7% in December as prices rise at rates unseen in decades on: January 15, 2022, 06:49:40 PM
It looks like most of the purchasing power was lost up to the 1980's, at which point the decline almost becomes flat - that means the dollar has held it's value relatively well since that time and it would be a whole different graph if you focused on recent history. The fact that inflation was near all time lows before an unforeseen crisis of a global scale hit is actually a positive thing for the US dollar and any similarly effected currency. It means it is stable. Just look at Bitcoin over the last couple years, at times it has gone up 100% in the space of months and also dropped 40% since the all time highs. It doesn't have traditional inflation, but it is so volatile that the average user struggles to understand the value of it at times, that seems much more dangerous.
Something going and down is not called inflation. That is investment and things go up and down in value when you invest them. Just because apple stock goes up and down, doesn't make it "inflation" because it makes no sense right, or gold going up and down doesn't mean it is "inflation", you do not use that word for that purposes. You use it for understanding the price of things going up and USA has sucked for a while.

Just because it has been flat doesn't mean that it was actually flat, look at school prices in the 80's and look at it today, look at hospital visits and look at it today. You will see that most stuff went up, most stuff that people needed but not daily stuff. You do not go to hospital every day, or you just go to college once or none (rarely few times), so they do not considered in the inflation but obvious. Just because milk prices stayed relatively same, doesn't mean inflation was fine.
1579  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital asset is for holding on: January 15, 2022, 05:41:22 PM
in my opinion as well, not just digital assets but each and every investment will be highly profitable in long run give that its fundamental are good in long run (and practically without stronger fundamental, you cannot expect an entity to be sustaining everywhere). So, if we want handsome returns from an asset then we should give it enough time.
That seems like a great and simple way right? I mean if the fundamentals of a coin (or any investment like you said) were to be good, then in the long run unless something unexpected happens then it should be doing something fine in the long run. However, some people still mistake this as a good investment and they think that it is a bad investment if you have to wait that long, why? I have no idea. They tend to buy into the shitcoins and they try to make as much profit as they possibly can for it and they would basically end up losing all of that money very quickly.

This is why I personally do not like to meddle with people who like to buy shitcoins and shill them and think they are the way out of poverty, because they are not, they are just ways for the creators to make as much profit as they possibly can and we know why that is not correct.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do u think about gambling? on: January 15, 2022, 09:54:05 AM
In my own opinion, gambling is fun. It is sort of like watching tv or playing online games but the possibility of winning money. It could be a threat if you dont know how to set your limits of how much money and time you can spend. Even if you have a large budget, it is a not a bad idea to set limits for yourself.
If money is not involved in gambling then probably gambling industry might be doing similar to how video games are doing these days. So, money is the biggest differences between other fun providing entertainments and gambling. So, if you honestly do not seek money then you can easily enjoy with lots of other things like watching movie or playing with friends or going for adventurous trips.

Personally I do gamble as per mindset. I gamble for all day if I wish or I may stay away from it for months. I guess I already got addicted to the  thrills of gambling but fortunately I am able to control myself for not touching it for months. I am just waiting for vacation time to enjoy gambling but I guess I need to wait 3 more months for that.
