Marcus Rashford has greatly improved in appearance since the World Cup but Haaland leads as top scorer with a very large number so far Haaland has scored 26 goals while Rashford has 14, if want to be top scorer Rashford must always score goals in the rest of the matches but not sure he can catch Haaland or even Harry Kane, this season it will be Haaland's and next season Rashford has a chance if he keeps doing well and is a sharp striker.

Rashford has benefited from Ronaldo coming into the club, motivated the player, showing them that they can score high number of goals in the club as he did in his first year of return before departing. Ronaldo departure then made Rashford the focus as everybody now plays for him. Rashford was always a good player still didn't understand why he declined that much but he's back now.

The same Rashford I just saw some media pushing about his transfer to potential PSG and Real Madrid bidders! To be honest, I think he had a good year and goals but last season was terrible due to Ronaldo's presence which isn't even bad at all as they didn't use him like that since Manchester United is left with no choice, he is putting in his best to represents the team and I think that was the best decision made by Erik despite confrontations that he was not using Ronaldo in matches.

Quote
I don't think the target is to excess Haaland as that's an impossible tasks. Haaland has the whole team working for him with assist and they're all top players in the prime years while Manchester united just has an average team. Manchester city was already doing well before the arrival of Haaland so it's just like he just landed on a gold mine while Rashford has to work together with the team so it'll be hard to be scoring the number of goals Haaland is scoring.

attempting to kick out Haaland is nearly impossible but if he is able to do that, that will not only make him a golden boy, it will move Manchester to first place in the table and they can easily take home the season trophy or either way, they are lucky to face the team that are in between 6th and 18th place, if it favours them, Rashford can achive more goals provided that Manchester doesnt pick up in their perfomance.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 20, 2023, 08:57:26 AM
Indeed barcelona is currently in a state of pressure because they are playing the second leg at home to manchester united and this has made profits for Erik ten hag and his players. But still the Blaugrana are not an easy opponent for the red devils, I think it is likely that the second leg match will continue into extra time, if one team cannot close the match 90 minutes with a win.

Looking at the bookies odds, you can see that this match is difficult to predict because the odds are all equal with no options to choose from, but I have a good feeling that Barcelona will win this match; statistically, Manchester United does not have a good record of clean sheets against Barcelona, but they drew in their last game, which gives them confidence and hope. Both teams have been in good form recently, but even with the way they performed last time, Barcelona had the game in their hands the entire time. Expect at least 1.5 goals from this match, but Barcelona will win.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 19, 2023, 08:47:45 PM

At the moment, bookmaker quotes for the championship in La Liga are as follows:

Barcelona FC - 1.10

Real Madrid - 6.50

If Barcelona beat Cadiz today (does anyone doubt it?) their odds drop below 1.10, it would take a miracle for Real to overtake them. With Barcelona close to losing United and offloading their game calendar, all they have to do is beat outsiders till the end of the season and secure the title.

Any time I see this kind of odds like that of Barcelona, I get pissed easily because what's the purpose of 1.10 odds, do they expect someone to stake $10k to win $11k, that's just $1k potential win which is a bad investment if one is to make that kind of move, forget the impossibility of Real Madrid taking over that first place, it is way too risky bet to be honest, 1.5 and 8 odds is fair to begin with.

I just wish Real Madrid(I want it happen badly) can just overtake Barcelona, it will humble lots of people and will make bookies rain money on the street because even with the current form of Real Madrid, there are bettors who will stake that odd for Madrid as the Trophy winner.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 19, 2023, 05:25:51 PM
Actually, I've been thrilled with Rashford's form since his return from the World Cup; he's been a major contributor to any Manchester United games. I can't imagine Rashford going with his scoring style in every game. Manchester United is really good, and their coach is really trying, and based on what I've seen so far, I believe the team will win at least one trophy this season. They're playing better ball, and they deserve to win the matches they're winning.

Match against Manchester united and Leicester city was impressive. Manchester played well especially that second half was crazy with some accurate passes and great goals chances and I believe that is what make them scored more goals.

Ever since he had a goal peaked in 2019, he has been a good player and a finisher but last season was poor but the season is half way gone and already having 24 goals for Manchester united and 7 good assist in 36 appearance and yet not a single red card was given, I don't think even Erik would want to see him get any injury at this crucial moment he has transition Manchester united in the standing.

They are currently 6 points below Arsenal and 3 points below Manchester united and I don't think Newcastle will be getting them anytime soon, may be never again but I have this inner chi and affirmation they will either end up as second at the top of the league or mysteriously finish first if indeed they continue in this form.

If my account is the basis, then I should be already a hero member or a legendary member, right? I just recently came back after several years since I was also busy with my study, and yes, it's true that I have earned a decent amount before and most of those earnings went into a considerable good investment such as my computer which I was using for 5 years now and other needs. Now for the present time I could say I somehow regret it but as I've said it is a considerable good investment for me since I made use of the things I needed back then and should be grateful for that. Additionally, now what I'm really aiming is building for myself and investing while utilizing the resources that I have, because I know crypto or bitcoin is one the things that will greatly contribute me in the future. So, I do hope that I could read some of your suggestions, opinions and gain more knowledge which I literally skipped over the past few years.

Maybe not on your first question, your account was created way before the Merit system was introduced, if you were a Full or Senior Member on or before the 24th of January 2018, 500 merits should have been added to your account by default for every member who was already here and your merit is reading 253, I don't think you will be in Hero or Legendary at this point even your activity defined that on your profile.

As far as you used that bitcoin to get to where you are today, there shouldn't be any sort of regrets, it is a sad action done with a good purpose, this is not the time to feel awful, make use of that knowledge and buy back some bitcoin, you will enjoy the boldness of starting over in the future.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 17, 2023, 01:26:26 PM
If you look at the condition of the two teams this season, yes, there really isn't any potential for Liverpool to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League this season in the round of 16. But Liverpool also still have the opportunity to make a better strategy in the Champions League in a few days or before the game starts. Although predictably this is a pretty tough opponent for Liverpool with their bad conditions this season, while Real Madrid still doesn't deserve to be said bad because Real Madrid can still rise in the domestic league and also in the Champions League.

I have learned something in football I draft from Real Madrid last Champions League season, a match isn't over until it is over, we quickly make assumptions that when a team is underperforming in a match event, people become emotional that they will lose but Real Madrid last year performance was the biggest in Champions League that surprise everyone, how they moved from knockout stage to lose to PSG and won in the second leg and that was how they all did till the final day and Liverpool eventually lost to them, they can still perform the similar thing in their domestic Laliga league that everyone thinks they are hopeless to reach and no doubts, Real Madrid is coming out of this knockout stage successfully.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 17, 2023, 01:02:49 PM
manchester city is able to catch up well, as well as manchester united, but i'm not quite sure manchester united can win the english league this season, i bet arsenal and manchester city will win the league this season, personally of course expect manchester city to win won the Premier League this season

There are some predictions that don't need to ring in someone's head, I know that Manchester City and Arsenal frequently have hiccups in movement and have swap spots in the table but they are the current two teams I have confidence in taking home the Premier League trophy, Manchester United on the hand has picked up recently, however, the more I look into them, they are been split between EPL and Europa League, they want there and here as well but they are closed there and they may sacrifice here and end up in second to qualify for Champions League in the worst scenario I think.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 16, 2023, 03:52:20 PM
Will people still use or buy bitcoin till today if all it has to offer is the decentralized characteristic only, I am trying to say that if bitcoin is stable in value from day one and has no investment ability will you still buy it?

What is the point of it being bitcoin if it's stable in price without characteristics of investment? I think we have other stablecoins that possess decentralized characteristics like the Maker Dao stable coin(DAI), the decentralization is limited to the Ethereum foundation though. There is no point for bitcoin to exist if doesn't have those characteristics, Perhaps you should check the Bitcoin whitepaper for some reference or even learn more about bitcoin, it will help you clear some of these kinds of questions.

Quote
if all it has to offer is moving money around and no volatility, will Bitcoin be your favorite still? Drop your thoughts and let's see.

I am thinking that the Volatile is what makes bitcoin a must have for almost everybody, think I am wrong?

And people won't see a reason to buy Bitcoin if there were no Volatility from day one.

Volatility exists in every market but bitcoin is unique in its own way, you shouldn't forget the way it goes up, the same way it does when it is coming down. I was exposed to Bitcoin before I even learned about stocks and others but I'm already used to bitcoin volatility(cryptos) and nothing legit can change that anytime soon, not even stocks. Any other volatility that beats that of bitcoin should be considered a scam.
1569  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: February 16, 2023, 03:24:51 PM
Aside from that, I think most of the people are just into holding their coins until such time the coins will attain the imaginary line that they thought before cashing it and that means that even if offline/online stores will accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment, people will still pay via fiat and not crypto because it will just be wasted especially when the market is down. Most of investors aim to buy low and sell high, and not buy high and sell low.

People tend to spend their coins in stores when they shouldn't; the store will profit more in the future, even during a bull market, retailers become less frequented by consumers holding crypto, which is when they should be spending.
It is unwise to spend much during crypto winter, not that it is a bad thing to do, but it should be a time when you should buy more, it is an opportunity to buy and hold them and unload them when the price appreciated, and that should even be the price at which you should spend more them (I mean altcoins and other shitcoins) for the courage you have endured when people are selling their bags.
1570  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 16, 2023, 03:06:36 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.

No troll intended my friend but I thought you should have some bitcoin considering your account has been registered since 2017!  Huh Saving is just like doing a grant fund for banking organizations, the money they run as a business is owned by people like me, and you, they make collective donations from rich and poor and set that up with interest rate that will give you nothing at the end of the year, the banks only favor those who have big shares, the poor only suffer at their hands by saving in their custody with poor services they may debit you at the end of the day. My little already known advice, buy and hold bitcoin when the price sinks at any given opportunity.
1571  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC Silver and Gold on: February 16, 2023, 02:45:46 PM
I am curious. How many of you also stack gold and silver in addition to BTC as a hedge for inflation?

For what exactly, if you had held Gold from last year 16 of February to 16 of February of this year, you will have gained just nothing, if you bought in the last 5 years, you will have earned $500 dollar, now, if you compare inflation rate in the last 5 years with the increased price, you would have only gained a sandwich meal for a day, what is now the essence of holding them, I don't want to go to how silver has performed in the last 5 years but let us look at Bitcoin; if you have bought bitcoin on February 16, 2019, which is 5 years ago, despite the market collapse, that's roughly sweet 7x from your investment at the current price of bitcoin.
1572  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin inflation wilder than fiat? on: February 16, 2023, 02:25:23 PM
We know Inflation has become a frightening specter in 2023 because of covid and Ukraine and Rusia war. This is related to crypto, I am not sure if crypto price today has grown up in the line without following the fiat. Yes, fiat aka conventional money is the factor we pursue to bitcoin.

Do you know that inflation existed even before Covid, Ukraine, and Russia wars began, this tells you that inflation is an element of Fiat/cash which is here to stay, as long as the principles of cash remain the same, we will continue to see inflation. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has beaten inflation from different angles while halving has been acting as a deflationary tool with supply, the two are not comparable in this argument may be speculations of the economy led us into believing that the fiat drives bitcoin price.

Quote
Many countries have thought to change currency into bitcoin because the government thinks bitcoin is more related stable than USD. because the reality, USD is not have something great if their foreign policy isn't great in the past. The powerful country is just running their greedy for self-benefit. Now, they begin to turn to bitcoin and look like started to control the bitcoin inflation, so what you think if bitcoin inflation is wilder than fiat?

The problem with this country is that they came late, not late in the sense that it wouldn't strive in the future but they bought at a high time price, and since the effects of bad guys(SBF and CO) infiltrated the crypto space, it hasn't been funny with losses, if they continue to believe like in the early days, they would definitely have a story to tell to other countries who have yet adopted bitcoin as a store of value.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 15, 2023, 09:47:49 PM
It doesn't matter if he predicts Real Madrid can win 5-0, because there is also a betting option about the "correct score" and of course betting with that option will give very high odds. But most of them usually only bet with home, draw and away options, and if applied to Real Madrid in this match against Elche then the odds are very low odds.
Anyway, there is no doubt about Real Madrid at this moment, so it's only natural that many of us will choose and or bet on Real Madrid's victory in matches with various betting options.

Bookies are there for business and there odds follow iterations and simulations, those figures doesn’t just appear on their own, historical past events and the current state of the league determine those odds, like example: we know that Elche is a weak team, they had only won a single match in the whole of this season, they had face some worst team this season yet they concede goals and loss and now they face Real Madrid that has won 14 matches this season; automatically it will tell you that Real Madrid will win todays match and will display small odds.

I wouldn’t think twice to make Madrid as straight win, even in their worst form, they will beat Elche and I would stake high, this matches always comes good except in rare occasions when players get read cards which are unpredictable sometimes.

Arsenal 1:1 ManchesterCity   45mins

It has been an interesting match tonight. The both teams are playing good football. Manchester City capitalised on the nistake of Arsenal defender to get their early goal. I can say that the goal was not well deserved. But everything normalised after penalty kick was awarded to Arsenal and Saka successful converted to goal

I had known that this game would be surely tough as well as exciting. I also knew it would produce goals from both sides as well. The first half of the game was sure exciting and I’m pretty sure each sides would have a lot of pep talks as well as tactical changes on both sides.
Both sides played really well and the second half would only get more exciting as each side would be going at it hard to score goals and win.
I still think Manchester City has a good chance of winning the game and I don’t expect it to be an easy feat also. I know the second half would only be more exciting. I just wish Manchester City would calm down and go easy on the game.

The only difference between Arsenal figures in the table is just the match played and 1 loss from Manchester City, if Arsenal play against Aston Villa in 3 days and failed to earn 3 points, they will become equal with Manchester City this season and that wouldn’t be only disappointments, that will be a big shame to Arsenal and Arteta for allowing Manchester to come closer to them on the table when they already had the chance to move far away.
I want to see what will be the outcome of the judges against Manchester City, if they are fine money to reserve their points, I have no doubt that Manchester City will take home the Trophy because they truly deserve it.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 15, 2023, 09:27:51 PM
Bayern Munich were impressive last night, they played with much confidence and strength, and showed good tactics against PSG. It was good to see Kylian Mbappe back on the pitch again after a short time injury and he made a huge impact as he came in but too unlucky to have two goals denied for offside. Hopefully PSG will return much better and stronger in the second leg with all stars complete and starting.

I can't believe the team that has Mbappe, Messi, Neymar and many other stars is losing for the third time in a row. The coach seems to have hard time finding the appropriate plan. Pushing Zaire-Emery, who's only 16 years old, didn't look like a good act. Although he was doing well in Ligue 1, this competition should be different.
Talking about Mbappe, he changed the match and increased the pressure on Bayern's defense, but they eventually managed to achieve a cleansheet. However, I think all possibilities are still open in the leg 2 match.

What is the crime of losing? I believe that at some point in life, you have failed in ways you least expected and you have found a way to stomach it and move on, the only thing PSG should be concerned about now is their next match in Arena, the only place I was a little disappointed in them was that they should have used the match in their favor because they played at home, but it was not a bad performance.

Messi had a chance to make it up in the dying minute if Pavard hadn't broken him down, but it was a good decision made by the coach with that red card, Bayern is a  man weak and down, it will be a merit for PSG in their next match because I don't think there is any good defender for that position for Bayern Munich.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 14, 2023, 09:50:32 PM
Anyway coming back to Liverpool, I don't think this is Klopp's fault at all. In the end Liverpool have been continuing with him for many years and there has been a great chemistry between. However there are some in-team problems as it seems and the players need to find a solution for this.

If Klopp is not responsible for Liverpool's poor performance, who is responsible? Liverpool management has prepared a huge amount of funds to bring new talented players into the team. Klopp added several players to the squad but Liverpool's performance did not improve. Liverpool's performance has deteriorated day by day. I would say Klopp's poor match tactics have weakened the bond between Liverpool's players. If Klopp is not able to strengthen the bonding between the players then Liverpool should not expect a better performance.

It is so easy to condemn players and managers, I believe if you are given the chance to be one as a manager, you will know how difficult it is to sculpt players into taste. Liverpool is yet to play their round 22 matches and they are ahead of Chelsea which has already played and is below Liverpool because Liverpool is currently in no.9, and yet they didn't spend millions to sign players like Chelsea did and they are still doing well. When you become a coach, you don't just manage the club and other activities at the end of the day, you feel exhausted and that's is Klopp is experiencing, give him more time and you will see some progress.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 14, 2023, 09:34:16 PM
I don't think PSG will win today, with or without Mbappe, because of their recent inconsistency.

Going deep into the statistics of the last five matches they played against each other, Bayern Munich has won four while PSG has only won one; this clearly shows how consistent Bayern Munich is when playing PSG, but let's keep watching the match, but I have hope on Bayern because of their recent league form.

Moving away from the history of the two teams and considering their performance tonight I think Bayern Munich is on the better side to win PSG this can be seen clearly in their dominance in ball control, ball possession, and goal attempt. PSG has been doing more defending as they are yet to make any good attempts since the beginning of the first half till the time of this post so I don't see them winning this game unless they play better in the second half of game but Bayern Munich is a better team to win to be honest.

One could also say that history is changing in the path of the match between Tottenham and Milan, It quite a long time since Milan did a clean sheet against Tottenham but I can see that they are protecting their early goal scored from the way they are currently playing and also PSG is not just playing only defending match, they are playing both offensive and defending matches just that Neymar easily give up on defensive slides that are coming from Bayern players and Messi is never giving a single space also because they know what that short man is capable of when eyes are taking off him, hadn't been they spread Neymar and Mbape on the winger and allowed Messi to play striker, it would cause a mixed feelings against Bayern.

If Everton does not surprise Liverpool, they will win this match at home with plenty of goals. There is almost 1 hour left until the start of the match and Liverpool now wants to get a break by winning this match. If they are not in the European cups next year, it will be a big disappointment for me. Like everyone else, I enjoy the European cups played by Liverpool more. I hope Klopp and his students recover soon and can reach the top of the rankings.

Liverpool has traditionally and statistically dominated Everton, but they couldn't beat them earlier in the season and are currently in their worst condition. Looking at it now, Everton was bold enough to overcome Arsenal, and they would undoubtedly want to scare Liverpool to secure this point. How do you anticipate Liverpool to do in the European Cup when they have opted to settle down in the number 10 spot? A miracle is unlikely because Newcastle now has 39 points and Liverpool needs 10 points to get there, and I don't believe they are in top form to accomplish it.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 13, 2023, 07:52:13 PM
Barcelona - Manchester United match will be a match like a champions league match. Barcelona has a very important squad right now, Xavi is trying to manage these players with a game plan as best as possible from this squad. Manchester United are a good looking team this season, they are now quite the challenger in the EPL. Very equal teams, staff values are almost equal. Barcelona will win at home in this match at Camp Nou. Although I can not say that it will be comfortable, although it will be a difficult match, both teams will not give each other many positions.

You are only giving praises to Barcelona which is not bad at all, they have turned up recently in their matches but Manchester United has also had an incredible form that I wouldn't imagine, did you know that since the beginning of 2023, Manchester United only lost just a match to Arsenal which was even a mistake from their defender that could have been avoided. Barcelona could be lucky in their domestic League but there will be a battle for this one, history may tell that Barcelona always finds a way to defeat Manchester United but statistically, I will choose over 1.5 goals for this match, predicting a winner will only damage bet.

One of the most interesting games of this round will be played tomorrow, psg vs bayern will likely be a competitive one psg are not very good at the moment they lost two many points and games, their defense is very fragile they conceided many goals recently, that will be their main concern in this game especialy when facing an offensive team like bayern even if they are playing home i give a slight advantage to bayern and i think btts is a good bet in this match.
Bayern Munich is not very good in the league.  Like Psg, Bayern has bad times and there will be a game in the middle.  I think we can watch a match with a high probability of a draw.  We have been waiting for the champions league with curiosity and interest and finally the time has come.  Let's see what will be the result of this match.  It was one of the most difficult matches for both teams.

The same Bayern that finished first in their group, the same Bayern that had more points than PSG in the group stage, the same Bayern that leads their domestic league, the same Bayern that hasn't lost a single match in their last five games. I don't think you're talking about the same Bayern Munich that I know. PSG is also in terrific health, but that doesn't mean Bayern isn't up to the challenge in this Champions League knockout round, and if everyone thinks PSG has an edge because of Mbape and Messi, they should also know that Mane will be ready to cover Bayern Munich's winger support.
