Correct, this is not official Disney merchandise.. or the other 2 characters companies: Richie Rich owned by Harvey Comics and The Monopoly Man owned by Hasbro Thanks for the specific info. Just wondering, isn't it extremely high risk to copyright-infringe a brand of a massive company like Disney - I read an article (not in English, so no link here), about a case where customs checked and found Disney-plagiarism items leading to a litigious value fo 2.5 M Euro. Immediately involving a tiny army of Disney lawyers. So even just owning such an item seems like a risk not worth taking to me. It's not owning it, but the produces who would get fined. There was one case I heard of where a day-care center for little kids were contacted by Disney because they painted a Mickey Mouse on the wall for the kids and someone had randomly posted a pic of it on social media Disney saw this and told them to remove it.... Being that, come January 2024, Mickey Mouse will no longer be protected by copyright, as it has run out and will now fall into public domain.... kinda like the Happy Birthday song!! What a sad kindergarden story. lol But not suprising. Hmm, as far as I know if you import plagiarized goods you can get in legal trouble, too. Maybe it depends on the amount - if it looks business sized (for resale etc), it's probably are more major issue. Wow, can't wait for all the Mickey Mouse art that will be about to pop out after that date. Did some reading on the topic, seems like the copyright would have run out 1984 already, but Disney somehow managed to lobby for an extension. wtf For Donald Duck it will take until 2029 to become public domain. Disney is notorious for finding ways to extend their grip on revenue-generating properties..... Why do think they keep remaking all their animated classic films into live action ones?  |

And on that same topic, really a shame we haven’t seen more Onyx cards.
However with only 73 in existence I guess it’s no surprise we haven’t seen more of them.
I bet I get it… knowing my luck There’s about 10 cards I don’t want. 10 cards I REALLY want, and 40 or so others I’m perfectly fine getting. As long as I get 1 good card I’ll be happy Any diamond we get will be ultra rare and people will be clamoring for it. People wont even know they exist. Most of the cards are concentrated here on the forum. That being said i would like to trade for #46 if anyone gets it. Plus im hoping for 1, 1a, 10, 51, elons, No tallys, grrr, lol I'll take the #40 Diamond Tally Sticks once they are released if anyone wants to trade! |

ANN design was updated, see first post in this thread. It now includes a step-by-step walkthrough showing all actions you can make on our our website. The 40,000 DAI are still in escrow with minerjones and we are able to send much more than that if the risk of us stealing the funds proves to be the problem Is this confirmed by minerjones somewhere? I only found this post, but there are no details. Also (I remember this case): what are the details of the escrow deal? Considering the purpose, it would be good if the deal includes a 7 day delay once you request to pay it back, including the escrow publicly announcing the change 7 days ahead. The initial escrow deal was that we were supposed to receive the funds back when the review campaign ended a while ago. We did not request the funds back so they are still with minerjones. We'd be happy to adhere to the 7 day delay rule you proposed, and I will ask minerjones if it's possible for him to confirm here that this rule will be enforced and the amount held by him at the moment. Confirming there are still 40k+ DAI in escrow And I was not aware of the 7-day release rule, but will enforce this when asked for the funds return  |

I don't think the prices are being manipulated. Series 1 sold out so quickly I think people are really feeling the FOMO on these cards. They also have some known Bitcoin people involved with the project, so word is getting around quick with some earlier Hodlers. I collect the Cardsmiths currency cards as well, but looking like these BTC cards might end up having higher collectible value. It's also about the scope of the cards.... these are purely Bitcoin related The Cardsmiths are about currency in general, thus them featuring non-crypto related things and people. It also has to do with the marketing and people involved. I would gather that if Cardsmiths had been introduced at Pacific Bitcoin conference and pumped on Scarce City like the recent/current auctions, they would be just as hyped/valued as these ...just my 2 satoshis |
