1561  Economy / Economics / Re: Could russia be the 1st to embrace a petro BTC on: March 26, 2022, 03:01:27 PM
I am not sure why we connecting all the dots to main stream adoption? Have anyone not seen the other side of the Russia yet? They are tangled up in hundreds of sanctions and they are mostly related to banning import export, businesses, currency exchanges, economical interference etc so that Russia can crush inside out to stop the war and to stop us from going into world war.

Russia is simply throwing bitcoin card because they are running out of money tbh. They want to sell the oil in anyways possible.

I would love to see this as mainstream adoption but I don’t think Russia is in the position of doing same.
1562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 26, 2022, 02:10:16 PM
I hope you understand the current situation of the market? We are like 50% discounted at the current market rate and the market is already pushing itself upwards as we speak. If you invest your 40k today into mining stuff then I’m sure it will take you another two years to recover the same from market. Considering we get to see new ATH you may recover it faster but still another year of wait plus maintaining of the whole rig.

For me, just to give the inputs my vote will always go to retail market. Just buy it when you have chance and MONEY. If you keep waiting then you will have same situation as 2010 bitcoin value and 2022 bitcoin value after few years from now. It is as simple as that.

_snip_

yes, this is the point!
the house edge plays a huge role when it comes to luck vs skill games

I think the same that knowing the game could give you an edge on sports betting
but probably a really small edge since there are so many variables, what do you think?

The edge depends on how skillful the gambler is, even a small advantage could already make a person profitable. In general, I consider sports betting as a skilled based type of game, but if a gambler does not have knowledge of the particular sports he is betting, or even just a small knowledge only, then it should not fall to the skilled based classification on his level.

_snip_
I would say poker also involves skills because player can win the game even if they don't have better combination of cards by convincing the opponent to give up, and the strategies are unlimited in card games probably a math genius can keep winning the particular games. Cheesy

Reminds of movie 21. That’s the name of movie, just 21! The professor select bright MIT students who are capable of solving maths at an amazing skill sets and teaches them how to play the blackjack. These maths guys are so clever that they can calculate in their back of mind what type of card and pair is going to be their in the deck of card. They study the whole thing while playing the game and keep winning huge amounts of money.

They fly to Las Vegas and loot the Casino like hell man. All of that based on the maths calculation. I am not sure if this is possible with the online casino but if it is then they are rich.
1564  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper btc and paper usdt new money system on: March 25, 2022, 05:03:43 PM
I don’t think it’s really needed. The world wants full transparency in the transactions they make. For example, various countries want digital currency because they want full disclosure of the money transactions. This is done so that no one can hide the taxes from the government. I barely doubt the process will go other ways round and government will try to print the bitcoin paper notes or maybe a private company whoever will take the tender.

Also USDT does not seem to be in the position to get printed in paper format. They already have running legal notices for centralised operation but with improper channelling.
1565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy more so you can sell some on: March 24, 2022, 07:04:44 PM
Only good when you are capable of holding for very very long period of time. There is cyclic pattern which can be followed while hodling for long time which can be set as per the market trends. For example, when we hodl we can check sell 40-50% portfolio depending on the nature of coin, project status and real value and hold until the market goes bearish. Once it is in bearish mode we can re-buy the portfolio at lower costs. Just keep repeating this until you end up having more coins using the same initial investment. This could easily make up grand break even point for long hodler.
1566  Economy / Economics / Re: The Effect of the Russian-Ukraine War on Cryptocurrency and Vice-Versa on: March 22, 2022, 06:00:25 PM
Crypto is just crypto when it comes to war and loosing the battle for your loved ones. There is no vows for the war and its relationship with the crypto currency as far as worst humans like Hitler, Putin are considered. They are like taking the whole thing personally and taking away dreams, homes, education and hospitality away from the people.

Crypto donations are coming all across the world and I agree that we should be happy about it. But donations are donations whether they are coming in the form of fiat, gold or hospitality aids.

I would have been more happy if the Crypto currency would have part of Nobel prize winner scientist or may be an astronauts payoff for exploring something unknown in the universe or may be a kid's pocket money for doing his/her best in the school.
1567  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is a game of quantity on: March 22, 2022, 05:15:42 PM
I think you have misconceptualized other coins or assets which are under crypto space. Honestly the whole market in the crypto is about the quantity plus quality. Yes, the value rises proportionately if you have good hold on the number of coins in your pocket.

But its not like, its just applicable to the BTC only. In the long trade, all the coins are limited when they are first minted. Some of them are too less in circulation and liquidation while others are comparatively higher in number. However, at the end they are limited here and thus whoever holds the most coin will gain the opportunity to earn more profits out of it when the coin moves by little value in the bull market.

Unlike, stablecoins which has unlimited submission things are pretty different. They stay stable in value by overcoming the demand of market with unlimited supply.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: wrx token going continue down, why? on: March 22, 2022, 01:27:25 PM
Wazirx is India's largest cryptoexchange. But for some time now, the value of its coin has been plummeting. Its all time high was about four to five dollars. Even though it has been going down for almost six to eight months now, do you know the reason?

When they finalised the budget in India, I think they made it clear that Crypto is no more illegal in India and thats why soon after Indian Market was flooded with huge number of crypto exchangers. They have put great deal of investment into the apps,  promotions and web versions of exchangers.

Honestly speaking they are far better than WazirX as far as the review sites are telling. The problem with the later one is, they are not evolving at all. All they are doing is spending on in app purchase promotions. They have no advertisements running elsewhere or on the TV commercials and they are not even being sponsors in the games in India. This is being done by other Crypto Exchangers and thats why they are gaining more popularity.

This is why WRX is not the next big coin anymore. People are taking out the investments out of it.

I just did my first "FUN tokens lock" and now I read that I have 16 free Wheel of Fortune spins daily.
For receiving wheel of fortune spins, you don't have to lock your FUN tokens. Holding them is enough. The purpose of locking FUN tokens is to receive interest.
Also, I am sure you don't have 16 spins per day. For getting 16 spins daily, you must hold 500,000 FUN tokens for at least 360 days.

The whole process is gradual. He wont receive them directly on daily basis. Plus as you stated for 16 per day the investment is 500k. There are different levels which have been set out by freebitcoin and you pass each level when you cross specific days of holding. For example, it will go like Level 1 in 60 days, Level 2 in 150 days Level 3 in X days etc and they will keep increasing the number of WOF you get on the daily basis.

Like in above image you can see that still waiting for 8 WOF/DAY in 137 days. So its not like you will get the taste of it right after you start holding the FUN tokens on account.

Same thing applies for your overall cashbacks, interest rate increase etc.

Better go through complete guid before you go and invest insane amount in the want of these freebies.  Cheesy
1570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: March 22, 2022, 11:47:54 AM
Me, well never trade in greed and never make it your primary income unless and until you are full time into the crypto trading and have completely focused on developing your skills all the time. You can’t just buy coins and wait for them to grow. You have to be proactive when you have created your portfolio. You have to take multiple chances of selling and buying same coins so that you can incubate and grow them. This is all I am learning about the crypto trading specifically. I’m pretty sure with the time I will be able to trade way professionally but not able to control emotions as of now.
1571  Economy / Economics / Re: Australian banned exports of alumina on: March 22, 2022, 10:35:18 AM
Aluminum is not the most "critical export" for Russia.
The Russians are exporting oil,natural gas,grain,precious metals,weapons,etc.

It's still 5 billion and we don't know how much of a deeper impact has on other exports that are using aluminum, it is used a lot in the car industry, packaging, and electronics so while it might not affect too much the raw aluminum exports it might affect others more. Besides, it's not only about affecting exports, but it also makes things manufactured in the country for their own use more expensive or in some cases impossible to manufacture. China screwed up big time trying to impose taxes and then banning Australian coal, let's see how this one unfolds.

The above article claims india imports 85% of its oil from foreign sources. I think they may not be able to afford boycotts of oil, unless they could find another supplier nearby.

But only 2% from Russia, a negligible amount.

What strikes me as especially crazy in all of this destruction and sanctions is how little the stock markets have been affected by this. Many countries around the world are suffering from runaway inflation, we seem to have gotten past the worst of Covid but it's still lurking and now we have a huge war between millions of people on the edge of Europe.

The stock market is flooded with money, the dumps that will happen and that normally should have happened because of lowering economic perspectives are all negated by the fact that simply there is no other investment opportunity of such scale and if some do pull out there are a ton who go all in with a fresh batch of fiat.

I'm also on the same opinion, in times of crisis the stock market and share value should reflect these issues, as you can't expect economic growth with trade restrictions and people getting killed or forced to become refugees in the millions, but with the US unleashing 4 trillion with 2 more to come, of course, nothing normal or logical will happen till the consequences of this money printing will start to fade.

Nah, we can not ignore the fact that every metal is needed somewhere with something. If it is getting used somewhere then I am pretty sure it has important use in that device, instrument or may be research laboratory etc. If it was not that much important then they would have never bothered to import into country from the Australia.

With the time there is always Vendor to Client relationship build up which has contracts, future plans and budgets finalised on the same. With such sanctions many of the contracts might have already be broken, budgets collapsed and industries need to dilute the stock somewhere else now at cheap cost.

This will build up costs on the manufacturer for sure whether it is vendor or it is client, both gonna suffer from this.

Stock market and its price is byproduct of the whole trade and investment that goes around the world. So no wonder this is gonna hamper for very very long time.
1572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donating With Bitcoin on: March 22, 2022, 09:36:49 AM
It has already become way way old to donate with the bitcoins. Last couple of years there have been donations in bitcoin for the health care issues, tornadoes around western hemisphere and most recently the ukraine.

If you were here on the forum through the covid situation then there was donation from the Forum members itself to various fellow bitcointalk members who took the initiative of donating food and health services by using the donation money.

Everyone liked that idea and they were enjoying the same while donating as it was for some good cause. However, I am way skeptical if this will work for the religious purpose or not. With the crypto users the mindset is way advance and they might be into something like modern world. Not sure if you will be able to ask it successfully.
1573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prince Philip of Serbia: "only way around inflation is Bitcoin" on: March 22, 2022, 06:57:04 AM
Ahh, finally someone understand the importance of "limited" supply in the economic system. Always love it when someone actually comment on the limited supply and ever increasing demand can cause the price hikes and that is also without inflation. In bitcoin, there is no inflated rates because it behaves based on "decentralised" investments which are either being put into the crypto or may be they are getting sold off for the fiat. So yes, some bearish and bullish trends will surely come up. But that is completely fine as long as you are thinking about the bitcoin usage for very long time.

Unless and until you dont trade bitcoin into fiat you are actually loosing nothing. You are just trading bitcoin to bitcoin with whatever value it is currently getting recognised with.

Remember, whether fiat is loosing value due to economic crisis or some other unprecedented events then also bitcoin is going to be bitcoin.
1574  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | VIP | on: March 21, 2022, 08:35:52 PM

There are way too many rules to check and if people gamble without checking a single one of them, they are going to break at least one of them unwillingly. Not because they want to break the rules, but because they did not know the rules. It is vitally important to check ToS before you gamble in any place. Then people come here and complain about how their money is "gone".

This is why I believe that we will keep on seeing a lot of people who will claim most legit websites are "scams" because they did not read the rules and they broke one of them and their money was confiscated because of it and they will call it a scam instead of realizing they broke the rules.

The most important thing before playing on a website is to check how legit they are. I always have the impression that if you don't have multiple accounts, don't place crazy bets, exploit bugs,... then you will get paid (i.e. huge sums) after verification if it is a legit site. There are some sites that will not pay out any winnings at all, but if you do some research you know which sites to avoid.

Better just check the validity of the casino on the forum itself. One can understand the legitimacy easily in the Gambling section and how successful are they doing by reading the discussion itself. There are many casinos which are not legit and multiple accusations and zero payout is the biggest proof for this. Now I don’t want to go off topic as this is Duelbits thread. But I can surely confirm that this is one of the legit casinos and is like 4th in my best casino list. I have played few times, already got paid. The cashier is also easy to use with multiple payment options. I have no doubts on them for sure. Plus this is also having those Games and Rounds series active all the time. So definitely legit.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My crypto mining advice on: March 21, 2022, 07:48:11 PM
That’s completely fine as long as they are able to mine another coins really. Profitability can be taken out with switching algorithms and mining multiple coins at same time. Things have changed a lot after release of all new graphic cards. They are more powerful and energy efficient giving more money back guarantee for the period they will run. I have seen stories where miners are still using old cards like rx 580 with 4 and 8 gb rams. They are not able to mine ETH anymore but they are able to switch it to the new coins and store them and sell them at higher values.

So only big farms have to worry about the switching since they will have huge cost for set up and shit.
1576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 21, 2022, 07:19:31 PM
I think being trader you need fast access to your coins and thus you can not have them stored on the wallets. True. But, keeping the tradable amount on the exchanger is completely fine in case of day trading. There is always good security these days for the crypto exchanges considering you choose the reputed one. Note that they are so secure as you can also choose to stake it funds on them. I think to be able to day trade you have to risk some assets which are available in the exchanger all the time no matter what. Because market is way volatile and you can not loose time and transfer fees in the process.
1577  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysian Ministry Proposes Legal Tender Of Crypto Currency on: March 21, 2022, 06:48:27 PM
Oh that is coming out of the spark to motivate the youngster in the country. That is also fine print and we need such people in the government to regularise at least in the want of motivating new generations and give them what is actually trending.

As far as crypto is considered the trend is just at its highest peak and every college student or old person talks about it. So it is already becoming next new thing and they just don’t wanna miss out of the race.

I just hope they will actually implement this regulation sooner.
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am big fan of SHIBA on: March 21, 2022, 07:10:39 AM
Honestly speaking its almost way difficult to calculate the future of any coin. Plus you have now given the task to predict the future of meme coin which was merely product of competition and rage against the DOGE. I am not saying that SHIB is bad coin, but its risky investment. If you want grow your assets in the SHIB then you will need to do two things:
1) Need bulk holdings of SHIB
2) Need 2-3 decimal shift in the price from right to left.

These two things can make sure that you will earn handsome profits out of it.

I dont know their roadmap, but Im thinking what a meme coin would do in their roadmap other than just being meme coin.

Sad that i am not on the list of winners though I have more than a Hundred ticket accumulated  Grin

But winning  with only  5 tickets means this is indeed legitimate events and we really know nothing what or whom will win , there are others that has thousands of tickets and there are some who has hundreds Like me, but none of them wins instead those names above  Grin

Congratulations Guys and congrats Roobet family for another Job done well for your long supporters/Players .

Oh yes, 5 is just way way pure luck mate! I was holding around 56 tickets. Thats like almost 560 USD's wagered and also lost most of the money in the process.  Grin
All I got is fun playing the games and I have spent almost 7-8 days to wager this much amount. Tongue So I am sure Mr. Roo was not happy with me and he did not make me win.  Grin

I think all we can do is keep playing the games and hope that we will win someday. Obviously the chances are too low for us. There are thousands of players in this contest. It would be just surprise for everyone those who won. Despite the fact that they were trying for the contest or not.  Cheesy

Congratulations to the raffle winners. I am amused how this guy named "owen115" won the $20,000 with only 5 tickets. Just tell me his stars were aligned perfectly at the time of drawing the winners. Lolz. Thats just unbelievable and these are things which keeps happening when we are in the gambling. This is nothing but the "gambling - gambling".

This is what I called a luck, congratulations. How much you should wager to get 1 ticket? less than $10 right? Imagine wagering less than $100 in your wallet and you woke up and open your Roobet with a $20,000 credits in it. That was unbelievable, congratulations to that user!

Yup. Its actually 10 bucks per ticket. He just won 400x amount from his tickets. Its not even 100 bucks.
1580  Economy / Economics / Re: You need to understood world is business and priorirty money and profit on: March 21, 2022, 05:23:16 AM
It will not stop until they make the sum of money which they planned it before the war. The total supply of arms and weapons thats going to Russia, China, Ukraine is huge. We no nothing about the insider information and we will never ever know the same unless you are part of it. For example, an oil tanker, sandwich, bread or armoury thats moving is money making machine for them. War hit countries has no growing lands, so the supply has to come from outside world and it is moving in faster and costing them hell lot of money. This is perfect cyclic economic circle.

The riches are the ring master of this. It does not matter if they have plotted the twist of war or not, its just that they have such good management they will not leave the opportunity of war, inflations, shorting etc to earn more money.
