801  Economy / Economics / Re: Reserve Bank of India Governor Calls for an Outright Crypto Ban on: January 17, 2023, 03:54:06 PM
India is very big democracy and it could impact the decision of governor in adverse way possible. Not sure how big is crypto community in India but some articles suggest it’s fairly big to impact the crypto space at some point in future. If they have imposed such high taxes then damn it’s gonna be hard for the Indians to survive for very long in the crypto space. I mean how one can survive in such harsh conditions? It is clear case of trying to have full ban of crypto in India. I mean if they wanted to accept it then they should have made the taxation in slots. For example, for earning 10,000 USD 5% tax or may be for 50k USD 10% tax like that.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be vulnerable to Quantum Computers in about 2 years on: January 17, 2023, 03:09:03 PM
In the world where ChatGPT is taking over the computing I highly doubt that Quantum computing should be your first choice. Also there is no way quantum computing will be able to solve the bitcoin related algo because we don’t need that kind of hashing. Neither it will be worth it to brute force with quantum computing power. It is going just very well the way it is right now. The seeds generated are literally garbage they mean nothing so there is no point of using such high powered cpu to worn on it.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: What percent of your portfolio is stored in Bitcoin/Crypto on: January 17, 2023, 02:39:01 PM
Quick Monday poll for the good start of the week.

I've heard a few crypto-friendly financial experts saying that everyone should have at least 10% of their investment portfolio located in crypto. Lets find out how this looks for this forum.

Good to know that minimum range is 10% because I am on the bottom side of poll I guess. I do invest in crypto but hodling is not my thing these days. I mean after the pandemic things have escalated to a different levels now. I need money, so I keep selling my crypto as and when I get the pretty good chance to do so. Making profit is good thing, but surviving on the crypto is another fact too.

However, I am consistent with 10-20% savings in the crypto and I think it is more than enough for the average earner like me. In fact I am doing pretty well considering the circle around me.  Cheesy
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of stake is bad and why bitcoin is the only crypto I would trust on: January 16, 2023, 02:18:30 PM
In addition to this anyone holding more than enough tokens in stakes can control the fate of that token in terms of pricing. It's easy to say that these systems are well planned etc but they could cause the problems in long term. We have seen this happening with xrp in the initial days and now with ETH same thing is happening. In fact many project owners will distribute only some amount of token for staking thus keeping the large chunk at their wallets for later usage. I never liked PoS. Bitcoin is just so perfect in all the senses. I love to see the PoW because it is real, there is energy involved, there is actual hard and smart work is underway which makes it perfect.
805  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀Jackbit.com | 🎰 Top Crypto Casino ⚽️ Sportsbook 🎲 Exclusive Mini-Games on: January 16, 2023, 01:17:45 PM
Cool, welcome to the forum guys. If I want to find any better place to gamble the money then it has to be on bitcoin talk forum first and then we can move further to register on it. I am just feeling good that another casino is launched which has prefect theme, all the ways of earning money (& gambling it). Since from the experience I can say that people are going to love the Sportsbook really as everyone is damn crazy to bet on them.

I will try out the mini-games section. Idk, I have never tried that kind of gambling at all. It would be unreal to say anything about it without playing so I will keep an eye on some offers first and then jump to play the games.

Hope you will enjoy the time on bitcointalk as well. Good luck.
806  Economy / Economics / Re: Salvadoran lawmakers pass digital asset issuance law in bitcoin haven on: January 16, 2023, 12:57:31 PM
I think it's too early to say anything about this project but yes they are seriously making progress towards the nation which will have bitcoin adoption on greater scale as compared to the others. However, in the silent awkwardness we have also seen news where El Salvador's peeps were not happy about the bitcoin currency because they are left out of the basic need fulfilment by their government. Now no one would really understand what is going on at the doorsteps of Salvadorian but in bigger picture it does seem promising for the bitcoin and any business that want to invest into the bitcoin in the long run.

If they succeed with the plans they are plotting here, then they are going to attract wider businesses and could develop the nation very fast.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My First Bitcoin on the New Year Day 2023. on: January 16, 2023, 12:29:17 PM
Patience is the key bro. Keep it up and may you hodl for fairly long duration. It may happen that you will be tensed due to the bitcoin's volatile nature. You may find that your 4000 naira turned into 3500, but keep hodling. You will see good results in the coming days as you have started the investment at pretty good point of the year and "bitcoins halving cycle closing". Definitely nicer if you push yourself every week or so to buy more and more. The advantage for your currency is the big change when crypto or fiat moves in slightly upward or downgrade. For you the change is bigger thus you can profit quickly if you are going to stick to the local currency math.

All the best for the future holdings.

@uneng, thank for the update. Let us just hope this will bring some good hike to the tokens that we are hodling. For me its over 1.5 years since I am hodling the FUN and enjoying the benefits for same. Well the benefits are actually from the premium membership and freebitcoin's plan of execution yet good to see both working for our benefits.

Now this news is just came out at perfect timing. This will help the stake holder understand that FUN devs are thinking about the plan of actions to make FUN even funnier this year. Hope so the prices will drift above the old price range. Hope to see it climbing above 500-600 satoshi's in no time. :-)
809  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My business currency on: January 15, 2023, 05:59:14 PM
Good gesture but not gonna happen that quickly and with such random request. There are millions of challenges up front and very few are able to face the government in that way. I mean have you ever seen any movement that is being done against the government so that we can get freedom to choose our universal currency and transact without the taxes and stuff? Have you ever seen any news that will put a sweat on governments head where bitcoin is being adopted at alarming rate and fiat is getting decommissioned? I think it is not really the thing that can happen overnight.

We as crypto lovers need to be in the game of crypto adoption forever. Millions might accept it, the same millions may not be interested in it the following year. That's how the market is growing to be honest. I just hope we at least keep the steady growth all the way through.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: Always Buy Up - a discussion about having Strategy in your Life. on: January 15, 2023, 05:29:40 PM
Yes we need that step by step approach in our lifetime because without it we would end up in complicated situation. This is mostly when it comes to the financial management. I’m not saying we are always at complex but in crypto where the market is far more volatile and trendy one can end up loosing the heat over the time.  Here success can only follow you if you are patient enough to resolve the buying and selling process. Meaning, you have to have proper understanding as to when and what to buy in the crypto market. With the time things also get cozy if we are now updated with the finance management. Good to have this discussion.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 15, 2023, 05:13:05 PM
If you are referring to the current up surge and it’s relation to the selling out the coins then I think it’s too quick to ask that. I think this is just start of the upward movement and bulls are yet to be waken up by this year. We might be able to sell and profit from the bill by year end or May be by next halving itself. Many of us has bought the bitcoin at very high prices. There are strong hodling addresses on explorer which can be seen buying bitcoin during 52k prices and still they have those bitcoins. All of them waiting for that price to be crossed to profit.
812  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: January 15, 2023, 04:22:30 PM
I am not yet using the YoMix but it seems we have some added features in comparison with other available mixers out there. I usually go and use the coins as it is but it seem these days mixers are getting damn crazy popularity. I think I am now understanding the importance of mixing and getting new coins minted for myself. The extra layer of security with the code is good feature and honestly I have not seen it on other platforms. Or may be I am not into the mixing game with full attention. Anyways, if I am gonna use any mixer then it would be YoMix as it's my first actual use case besides just reading the articles about the mixers and how they really work technically. Will surely drop a review about it.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: Third of world economy to hit recession in 2023, IMF head warns on: January 14, 2023, 07:47:32 PM
Or may be BRICS will have to be more stronger than ever before because they will need to be supportive towards each other. Idk, maybe that is why the partnership was made in the first place so that they can help in the time such as this. Also I would not mention them as third world economies, as some of them are really doing great and being competing the developed nations. In fact they are better in handling the recession situation or any other worst situation as compared to the developed nations.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: My investments ahead of the 2024 halving 100% Bitcoin on: January 14, 2023, 07:08:44 PM
Yes we have already experienced a bit of up surge since few days now and guess what this happened after we entered into new year. Isn’t that is the sign we should not be missing bitcoin even at this point? Brace yourself guys we should be making more investments everyday and save up your change into bitcoin and push the portfolio. Halving is real, it’s proven time and we know how bitcoin goes boom level during halving.  Whatever might be causes for the same but it’s beneficial for us. Smiley
815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: January 14, 2023, 05:13:08 PM
Looks like a clickbait really. None of that feels very true to be implemented. Even normal trading bots are not doing any good to the traders plus there is always issues with setting up the proper codes and logic flow to them. As mk4 said how can I chatbot would be beneficial for the trading? Those YouTube videos are not worth watching if they are claiming it that way. It is just "trendy keyword" and nothing much. You are getting into it because you are getting pulled based on your search history. These kind of YouTube channels are just made with the intentions of making money by views and nothing more.
Better keep up with the normal bots which are also not 100% reliable or just learn the trading skill set!
816  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 14, 2023, 04:54:33 AM
My key in the bitcoin success is to keep my private keys safe and sound.  Wink
It is way better to understand that hodl is the only way for our success in the bitcoin. If we are going to transact the bitcoin then it has to be from bitcoin to bitcoin so that we can flourish the bitcoin economy to the fullest. If we are going to sell the bitcoin for USD all the time, in the want of those tiny profits then it's not worth it. There is no way we could get the success if bitcoin is not in the circulation. This is based on the public power, bitcoin is all about unity. Tomorrowland wont guarantee it's success if at the end only two people are left our to trade in between them.

818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15M BTC goes into self custody on: January 12, 2023, 05:49:36 AM
Still people are using the exchangers like never before. I don't know but these incidences from the last year should have ignited marching of Not your keys Not your Bitcoin long ago but it only seems that forum people are aware about it and not the whole crypto community. You say - you say, there are always brokers, institutional investors who are going to deny the fact and will attract their customers to invest and as soon as they invest they will get the custodu of their coins and you will loose the ownership right there.

A person lost more than 4 billion against the lawsuit filed over exchangers custody. ToS simply stated if they are in the possession of exchanger then they are gone.
819  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans are once again quitting their jobs at a growing rate on: January 11, 2023, 05:26:33 PM
I wonder how exactly it works in US? Is it really that bad in the nation in which hi towers are built and unimaginable modern techs are formed? How on the earth we can hear such bad news one after another from the most developed continent around the world? Is it a joke or is it grim reality which is just coming out of nowhere just now!
Also why are they quitting the jobs? If they have jobs, they have something in their hands and they should make good use of it. That is called as improvisation of the life standards and possibly the accounts!
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 11, 2023, 07:52:12 AM
Got such bad experience all the time. It's unrealistic to how the prices of bitcoin is soaring all the time and we are not there when it was tiny one. Thats what they call as missing the train and I can concur that I have missed this train many many times myself. Problem is not with my patience or my hodling capacity but it is about the requirement of money on monthly basis. I could not save up everything in the crypto, I need to sell bitcoin many times to keep  up with the daily needs. I am not sure how those guys are hodling all the time, but they might be having some serious real world job with good paycheck every month.  Smiley
Sadly, situation is not same for everyone.
