So i'm not sure how the previous poster was able to get any information from them
It's called forum posting, a subset of fiction writing.

So, an idea for any new exchanges looking for business? Offer free bitcoin deposits, free USD/Bitcoin trades and free USD withdrawals for any existing MtGox customers who sign up in the next 2 weeks, or alternatively for a 2 week period.
Fuck you. "Oh, is it really cold at the North Pole, is it really difficult to get material up there and do the polar bears eat up your personnel? I have an idea, offer free sky resort services for America's poor but entitled, bankrupt but pretentious, stupid but clueless." Fuck you. Seriously. Here's the right idea: oh, our government sucks and we are criminals just for living there? Don't worry dear World, we'll fix it completely at the next elections, accept our profuse apologies in the meanwhile.

In the Age of corporate buyouts and takeovers, you would think that someone would have bought out MTGOX already!

I don't understand what exactly you are trying to say.
Could you try in about twenty words?

I wish a new exchange would appear that can be as safe as MtGox , but avoid all of these stupid problems.
Possibly the funniest post on Bitcointalk.

So am I reading this correctly?
$800,000 has been invested in a company that has no business, assets or firm plans, other than a 'desire' to get involved in Bitcoin games........
You are reading this wrongly. 8,799.0657479 BTC were invested in MP's game venture. It's not "a" company, and dollars aren't involved. Furthermore, the corp does have assets: 8,799.0657479 BTC, in cash, and it does have plans, as discussed in the OP. Apparently "you are reading this wrongly" was not actually accurate. Should have said "every single thing you think is wrong". To help piss you off further: 38k BTC were invested in S.MPOE too. Now, you were saying? Right now they have 0%, which will continue until they release something.
Indeed. Of the 10bn dollar video game market (significantly larger than the movie market, for that matter), 0%. Of the 0 BTC video game market, an unspecified % (as the result of dividing zero by zero is undefined).

my bank manager knows me, we have shaken hands many times. he understand bitcoin, understand my business model so i have no issues continuing to do what i do. and no fear of sudden crazy actions from the bank Yeah and if the bank's computer model says you are high risk the account will be closed by corporate and there is absolutely nothing your local banker (who has no real power) can do. We did $20M in transactions, generated nearly $50K in banking fees, never had a single complaint, never had a single case of fraud, were registered as an MSB, provided both bank anti-fraud team and local banker a 20 page document outlining our business model and the account was summarily closed by corporate due to high risk nature of our business. Pretty much explains why it's not worth bothering. Every major bank I've talked to about my own bitcoin & crypto plans has been so excited they nearly humped my leg.
You're new here, the chief symptom of which being that you take yourself way too seriously. Tone it down by about two degrees of magnitude, it's getting annoying.

How to work:
1) Buy zero day from us. We have wide variety of undisclosed 0 days.
2) Submit it to tipping point initiative, or alternate researcher bounty site.
3) You send 75% to us with BTC. You keep 25%.
This'd be the first time the check cashing scam might actually be employed in an ethical way. As in, various unfrequentable lowlifes (US gov't, various corporations - Apple chief among them - etc) have managed to create this illegal and antisocial arrangement where legitimate research (into how their products suck) is being harassed under color of the law. Helping those researchers remain anonymous while feeding the various harassment databases with random people off the street may very well be the right thing to do.

Just-Dice.comCheck out the gambling site I made. It's a dice game, with the following features: * low 1% house edge * near-instant rolls * off-the blockchain, so no blockchain spam * high limits - currently you can win 21 BTC per roll - and the limits go up daily * win up to 1 million times your bet * pick your own odds of winning * on-site chat room * provably fair (of course) * roll "high" or "low" * keyboard shortcuts for quicker, easier play The really neat thing about it though is that you can also "be the house", and invest any balance you're not using in the site's bankroll. Then when other players lose, you win. For investors, here's the feature list: * massive 1% house edge ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) * investing is easy and instant; click the 'invest' tab for details * take your investment out instantly too * site operator (that's me) is a long-standing forum member in good standing with the community * invest as little as 0.01 BTC; no upper limit * minimal fees of just 1% on net investment profits to cover site expenses So now you can easily have your own share in a dice game without the hassle and expense of using stock exchanges, passthroughs, etc. All investments received go instantly to the site's bankroll and increase the maximum bet size offered to players. Just-Dice.comPost your user ID (from the 'account' tab) in this thread and I'll credit you a bitcent to get you started. You are free to gamble, invest, or just withdraw it as you please. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I've suspended the promotion for the time being due to an influx of low-count newbie spam bots. I'll come up with an alternative scheme. Suggestions welcome. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Actually this is pretty cool.

It's called using alternate clients. Most IRC networks no longer use ircd, they use forks of it.
Actually I have a list handy. anthony.freenode.net hyperion-1.0.2b(381) barjavel.freenode.net ircd-seven-1.0.3(20100223-bba06193a380 bartol.freenode.net ? brown.freenode.net hyperion-1.0.2b(379) calvino.freenode.net hyperion-1.0.2b(379) card.freenode.net ircd-seven-1.0.3(20100223-bba06193a380 gibson.freenode.net dancer-ircd-1.0.32(2003/09/01_02:12:22) holmes.freenode.net ? hubbard.freenode.net ? jordan.freenode.net dancer-ircd-1.0.32(2003/09/01_02:13:29) kornbluth.freenode.net ircd-seven-1.0.0(20100130-1b2256f759cb leguin.freenode.net 1,391 hyperion-1.0.2(230) lindbohm.freenode.net hyperion-1.0.2b(382) niven.freenode.net hyperion-1.0.2b(379) pratchett.freenode.net hyperion-1.0.2b(382) roddenberry.freenode.net ? sendak.freenode.net dancer-ircd-1.0.35(2004/08/13_18:00:25) stross.freenode.net ? verne.freenode.net ? zelazny.freenode.net hyperion-1.0.2b(382).

Hey, I just withdrew BTC from Gox however it seems Gox never made the transaction. It shows in the transaction history on Gox but never made it to the Blockchain. Did that ever happen to you guys?
MtGox's success has overloaded the blockchain and therefore Bitcoin txs can't be processed.

Thanks, but I'm not confident in the security/stability of MPEx.
Leaving aside that MPEx hasn't been down in its entire lifetime as long as the forum was down this week, I guess that's a thought. Does MPEx have a thousand active users each pulling hundreds of db queries and executing php commands on the site at the same time? Also, I think that wasn't a purely *technical* concern. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Of course not, but that's not how MPOE-PR answers questions. The distraction answer is always better while throwing a tissy fit. Lol. Yea, i think MPOE-PR is a good example of how not to do pr. Thanks to my footfan Phin's inclination to necropost I find out what Mayflies "think" on various topics. Anonymous "community member" #9487592348, September 14, 2012 - June 13, 2013. RIP. 8 months, such a young age. As to the load point: yes, it does carry more load than this forum.
