1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 25, 2023, 09:09:25 AM
For me, it doesn't matter if the team management passes KYC, because first of all we customers or clients are obliged to follow the rules and policies they have. In other words, we do not have the right to dictate to the team to pass their KYC as they are asking us to do.

And in that regard, I don't see anything wrong because they are the group management team.

And they are obliged to follow the rules and policies as well. Starting with ones that exist in the country where they are registered and where they operate, to the ones that they create themselves. Among all other things, that management team is responsible for crazy big casino bankrolls, so I guess they should pass KYC (and probably a full background check) before players. But someone said that the crypto gambling space is a wild west and I agree with that, at least here on the forum we have seen many times what some casinos do and get away with it.

Well, I don't see the real purpose of this "white card"... but it's me. I mean, what's the point? Do you get a white card and big applause? Maybe I am missing something?

I had fun reading the comments, there are some good ones:

Quote
A white card to promote fair play..
How about we dont give money to crying fake injured soccer players that act like babies on the field. The sport is a joke.

Is this really something we can expect in the future:

If the white card is good. What will the sure to follow black card mean?
1563  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: January 24, 2023, 05:09:20 PM
Which is the best?  Trading on bitcoin or investing in the stock market? The battle between short period earning and long-term earning. Share your thought about it.

There is no best in this case. If we talk about short-term (daily, weekly...) trading, in both cases there are many winners and losers, each market requires knowledge, skills, and capital if you want to progress and make money. And if it's a question of long-term investing, nothing can beat Bitcoin and the crypto development in the last ten years. But far from the fact that there is no profit in all other sectors, certainly Bitcoin is a high-risk investment, which is probably why it brings incredible profits for those who entered the game on time.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 24, 2023, 04:15:53 PM
I have a discussion with a close relative about online gambling and he said something that about how he hate gambling online because it's too addictive, he claimed real life casinos are better and less addictive because he will have to drive down to Las Vegas to gamble or drive down to a local casino and this still takes some physical effort and it discourages many people from frequenting gambling.
...

I wonder if your cousin goes to Vegas just for gambling or for some other things as well? Smiley

I guess that physical effort will discourage many people, but what is even more discouraging is the cost of traveling to Vegas, and staying there for a few days. It is probably more money than what many spend on gambling for the entire year.

...
He said with online gambling it's available on through mobile phones and you can play at any time, this means no shortage of gambling around the clock and no shortage of losing money as well, you can easily pull out your phone and gamble with any free time, a bit compulsive and too accessible.

It's not good to overdo something, anything... it's something we learn throughout our lives, how to control ourselves and not get into trouble unnecessarily because of some vices.

What do you think about this claim? Is he right or wrong?

Your cousin has some good points. When something is close and very accessible it has a big impact on some people who simply can't resist the urge... but in the end, we all need to find to deal with the "world around" in the best way we can.  It's the moment when we get back to self-control, you either find some balance in your life or you will just get into one problem after other. For gambling or any other temptation around...
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 24, 2023, 10:18:01 AM
Having a registration is not the end to the requirements to benefiting from such casino than when you first make an initial deposit with them to enjoy full access to those bonuses given, to get a registration been done in most kyc casino will require the user information and details for proper processing while in the case of the casinos that are non kyc casinos, this may not be required, but i will prefer using not more than two to three casinos to avoid unnecessary tasks and demands

Many crypto casinos have different kinds of drops for all players, including the new ones without any level. Basically, anyone can just register, and with some little activity, anyone can get some pennies for trying and testing the site. So some people play without any deposits, they just look for free drops and tips. I guess it can be seen as a good idea from some perspective, some people are fine with playing with the lowest amounts and without risking their funds in gambling.
The problem appears when they want to withdraw some earnings, usually because people make more than one account so they can farm more coins. It's crazy how far that can go from what I have seen.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you calculate house edge...? on: January 23, 2023, 09:21:51 PM
...

Yeah, at the end of the day it's the odds (luck) that determine how often you're going to win.

Casino games are made so that you feel like you're winning even though in real money terms you're not. For example you see an amazing display, lights, shows, etc, but you just made a tiny amount of money. So you feel like you're doing way better than reality, and continue playing.

As long as you don't bet more than what you're comfortable paying, it should be fine, and seem almost like paid entertainment.

If you spend more than what you thought you were comfortable paying, then you will most probably end in ruin.

Some time ago I ran into this term LDW for the first time, loss disguised as a win.

Quote
Slot machines are a particularly dangerous form of gambling because they are programmed with the most addictive form of VRRS schedule. Additionally, they are programmed to operate on a principle known as loss disguised as a win(LDW). This effect happens when a player is given a “win” of credits with a spin, but fewer credits than the original wager. The psychological effect is that these frequent wins keep the player engaged, despite a net loss.

Both the single-line slots (the traditional slots) and the more modern multi-line slots are programmed to give LDW “wins” in a specific payback percentage, but it is always less than 100% and certainly not above 100%, meaning that the house always wins. There are no “hot” slot machines, only “cold” ones.

From my experience, I can relate to this... When things go down they go down, there are wins here and there, but the balance is just getting lower. It's like that with all lucky-based games with any RTP & house edge. I have wins and losses on both, and I can't say that in "reality" RTP & house edge means a lot. But that's me and just my experience after millions of bets in all sorts of lucky-based games.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When was your last Royal Fush? on: January 23, 2023, 07:56:53 PM
Edit...OMG!!!

...
I don't know that the game name is royal flush, this game is one of the difficult games to predict when the mixer has done physical magics.....
Huh

I think those question marks are useless in this case... this is inexplicable, kindly spoken. But I can't lie, it gave me a good laugh!

Anyway, just in case I'm going to leave you a video of what is the best documented Royal Flush and in an important tournament, in fact the most important for poker.

https://youtu.be/yVRiPTnFgKE

BTW, at that table was Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond).
Thanks, will try to watch and check it.

I'm not sure if Muertos was just testing you or if he made a mistake, but this link takes you to "yeahmobi Casual Shoes 套版 720x1280"! Smiley

Anyway, I will try to return to this one:

Now I see that one of Jackpot's tables is 10/20 chips. Before the lowest was 25/50. I have some chips left on SwC, I will probably try this table.

5 BTC is an awesome prize pool for BadBeat Jackpot... I played last night, and I will play this evening again. Royal Flush beats straight flush and poker, and if that hand happens to you you will get a nice prize! You get some prize even if you are just sitting at that table.

Like every poker thread, this thread is getting occupied by the people who never played poker (and the ones who don't have a clue about what poker is...). When I read some comments I am not sure if should I laugh or cry! Smiley

Good luck poker players, see you at the tables!
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for new exchange token to add to my wallet on: January 22, 2023, 01:03:57 PM
I am observing Kucoin right now. Seems Kucoin is the underdog here and if you take a look also how this exchange exist a very long time ago and you will see that there are still no other issues for this exchange, like hacks or anything.
And it also has good risk:reward ratio, just incase we will go back again to its all-time high again.

I made a nice profit with Kucoin shares, but I bought mine years ago when the price was around $1... I guess it could be even more profitable for me if I sold when it was over $20.

Well, the Kucoin price is moving between $6 and $8 for a while... I like Kucoin more than some other exchanges, and I will probably get into KCS again. I think it has potential to rise in the future.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you calculate house edge...? on: January 22, 2023, 11:12:29 AM
...
I am one with the gamblers who are not checking the house edge simply because I don't bet that much. Either I win or lose; depends on my luck and analysis. I believe those people who care for such thing are the ones who gives more importance of what they are doing which is gambling in this case. They won't be wrong from doing so but no matter high high or low a house edge is, if you won't be lucky enough to win the game, then that would be fate right there. Let us say you are now aware of the edge against players; then what now? Choose other platform which has lower against its players? What if you're just unlucky? Then you'll lose still. Problem is gambler's mindset thinking that if edge is on the players, they'd generate more profit. But unfortunately, gambling does not simply work that way.

I think the same, and I gamble for decades already. When it comes to lucky-based games like slots, in-house, and live games it's all about luck! From my experience even with the lowest possible house edge there are long losing streaks on each of these games. Of course, high-volatility games can be even worse, +100 dead spins are something pretty normal.
So from my experience is exactly as you say, the numbers don't mean much if we are simply unlucky!
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When was your last Royal Fush? on: January 22, 2023, 09:27:07 AM
...
Apart from that I have also seen extremely improbable events, like having a poker on the flop and ending up losing on the river versus top poker or straight flush.

Bad Beats can be really brutal. I just opened SwC to see if they still have Bad Beat Jackpot... and they do, it's currently over 5 BTC! I have played quite a lot on BBJ tables, but I haven't been lucky to be on the table while it happens.
Now I see that one of Jackpot's tables is 10/20 chips. Before the lowest was 25/50. I have some chips left on SwC, I will probably try this table.

And here comes the question. Had you ever hit that hand?

I did, but I am not sure how many times... and I don't remember the last time, I don't play poker actively for a while.
1571  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ THE ULTIMATE BITCOIN CASINO GUIDE ⭐ CRYPTO AFFILIATE OF THE YEAR 🏆 on: January 21, 2023, 08:14:27 PM
...
I think a marketing area is missing; glasses, tshirts, caps, hoods, coasters, poker chips with the Gosu logo, etc. Ah! and of course BTCGOSU coin Smiley

Something I saw recently. Never enough marketing:

There is no guarantee that anyone who play slots a lot will hit a big multiplier, even a newbie who have never played slot can hit big multiplier in his first try.
Coming up about lack of time, I do believe you have a lot of time since you have the time to make posts in this forum everyday while playing slot can be done anytime you wish.
The main problem is not about lack of time for slot competition, but more about willingness to participate.

I missed a few competitions, but not because I didn't have the will to participate. Sometimes, even after a few deposits, I didn't have luck hitting anything over x100 for an entry. I guess that happened to others as well... so we come to this:

Always prefer low volatility slots also so chances on hitting big on these slots is also lower.

Low or high volatility slots?! High-volatility slots are way more interesting than low-volatility ones... at least for me. And from my experience, it's almost the same! I played low-volatility slots and lost a lot without any big wins or hitting a bonus round (or I won a bonus round that gave nothing), and I played high-volatility slots and won a lot after a few spins. I feel like it's not about the volatility, they can present any numbers there, it's about pure luck!

Anyways, are there any predictions for what the price of FUN token might be if Bitcoin makes it to its previous all time high, what do you guys think is the possibility of this token reaching $0.5 from now till the end of 2024, is this price possible or not?

You should keep in mind that if the FUN token was 50 cents, it would mean that the market cap of the project would be more than $5 billion. At the moment, it seems to me impossible and unlikely that such a price would be achievable even if the BTC price reaches the previous ATH. I can't even imagine what developers would have to come up with to make the FUN token grow from the current $0.0078 to 50 cents.
I guess that is impossible. If FUN is able to reach 0,03$ or 0,04$ next Bitcoin's ATH it should be already considered a big win for investors. The maximum it has hit was 0,19$ closely to its launchment in 2018, and from that moment it has never recovered to such price range again.

10-11 billion supply is too much and I believe only a powerful burning mechanism could bring prices to the 0,50$ mentioned by @Fivestar4everMVP. And by powerful burning mechanism I mean burning 95% of supply... Tongue

Plus, decreasing interest rates on locking/staking.

Really impossible, haha! Cheesy
Yeah, I think I will have to agree that such a price is impossible for now, after verifying the total supply and checking $0.5 usd would mean for the market cap, I have to honestly agree that it's impossible.

And another thing which I think is also impossible is for the team to burn 95 percent of the total supply of fun token, buying such amount of fun token from holders would cost them alot of money, and I believe that if they have such amount of money, they would rather invest it on something else that burn it through fun token.

Am I looking at something wrong or are you confused? And that all-time high was way before it was introduced on Freebitcoin.

Quote
FreeBitco.in Launches FUN Token Savings
FUN Token was created in 2017 to bring decentralized online gambling to the masses. However, rising Ethereum gas fees and latency made operations impractical coming into 2021. That’s when FreeBitco.in, the seventh-largest online casino in the world, stepped in.
Source: https://crypto.news/freebitco-in-introduces-savings-program-for-the-most-promising-token-of-2021/#:~:text=Eventually%2C%20FreeBitco.in%20acquired%20FUN,in%20a%20matter%20of%20months.

As you can see from the charts, $0.05 was the highest price since the FUN token is on Freebitcoin. From my recollection, the price on the website was over 60 sats... I had fun and I spent most of my first FUN tokens (on DPlay), but what I hold now I bought when the price was a little over 20 sats. So I am in a little plus (if I could sell all my FUN tokens now, but they are locked until the end of April).

Ethereum Shocks the World: Half a Million Validators and Rising, Is Ethereum the Next Crypto King Or BTC?

tell me if it's a stupid question

Quote
As many as one million people were mining Ether with over $10 billion dollars worth of mining equipment before the Merge

Well, I guess it's not a big deal... miners are just migrating, and probably there are even more people who own 32 Ethereums from way back and they are waking up slowly.

I wouldn't bet on Ethereum as the next crypto king... I don't think we will see any changes about that any time soon.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: January 21, 2023, 02:51:32 PM
Do you think it makes sense if a crypto gambling platform only accepts it's own token for gambling and gambling on it's platform? If the games they offer are one-of-a-kind, new, and addictive wouldn't this make the gambling token very valuable? I am asking on behalf of a friend who wants to build his own crypto gambling project on the blockchain. Will this work? Will this fail? What's your take on this?

The thing is that there are already so many gambling sites in the crypto market these days which already accepts so many coins.
When there are established crypto casinos which accepts wide range of coins then it becomes really hard for a new gambling site to survive which just offers their native token.
The chances are very slim and so I will recommend accepting most of the established altcoins and bitcoin.

I think the same, but "one-of-a-kind" sounds pretty interesting, so if some gambling platform comes out with new and unique games that can be very attractive. It's not easy and simple to create something "new & unique", so I guess that is a difficult part. Accepting just one coin for playing on the site is not a big issue, they can easily get some partnership with some exchange or swap service, so any deposit in any currency will be automatically exchanged for a house coin/token.

Speaking of which, when was the last time you played a new and unique gambling game? What game was it?
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: QUESTION: For Gambling Enthusiasts ❗❗ on: January 21, 2023, 07:05:17 AM
I like both options, I'm familiar with all those games... some of them I still actively play, while some I haven't played in a long time. Lately, I have mostly been choosing option A, which means playing slots, dices, limbo, roulette, etc. I don't have a lot of time, so those games suit me better. I can simply start and quit at any moment without any penalties.
As for option B, apart from poker, I didn't see that we can play other games for money anywhere... sure it would be interesting to have a larger selection of PvP games and casinos that offer them, but I can't say that I have seen any "serious" project in crypto space.
1576  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: January 20, 2023, 05:30:44 PM
Globally, the cost of living is ever increasing...

Exactly... and I don't think it will stop increasing in the near future.

I already have a plan to reduce my cost of living in the next 5 years. I will build a house and move from a rented apartment to my own home.
I will also install solar panel to provide me electricity I plan on having a large garden too to grow some vegetables. In doing so, I believe my monthly costs of living will have reduced.

As a house owner, with a large garden and chickens (my daughter insisted to buy chickens, and some other animals as well, but that is postponed) I can only say "good luck in trying to reduce the cost of living"! Smiley

House and a big yard mean a lot of work and a lot of investments. My house is finished, but the yard is not... so much more needs to be done and for sure some things I will do by myself (in which case I need tools (I bought many, but still far from what I really need) or I will higher workers (for some works definitely, along with some heavy machinery), in either way I need materials that costs more than double compared with the prices from 5-6 years ago when I moved in this house and started investing in it.

And growing/keeping animals costs as well, and you just and one more thing on your "to-do" list! But at least you know what you are eating, unlike what we buy today in all those markets, who knows what they are mixing!
1577  Economy / Gambling / Re: bc.game dice is better than stake.com dice on: January 20, 2023, 03:44:23 PM
You are hella funny mate. Justifying a site base on the outcome of your session doesn't make sense. Dice is based on luck. It just happened that you got lucky playing on another site at that time and not because it's a better site. Also, you forgot that the house always wins, be it physical or online. That's a fact in gambling.

by accident.
You said it yourself. End of discussion.

I guess it's something normal, our favorite place is always the place where we win. I agree that dice is a lucky-based game, and the house wins most of the time, but from time to time we win as well.

I generally prefer BC more than Stake, and I am active on BC. I think it's hard to compare BC and Stake, both have a big choice of games and many many features, so it would be fair to say that both are great. In my case, the BC style suits my personal taste more.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 20, 2023, 09:44:49 AM
I can almost guarantee you, that if you register at a new casino with an email address or mobile phone number.. you will get promotional content from them to remind you of your absence.  Roll Eyes

Casinos are not really interested in people that are not active, that is why they are giving rewards for people who are active. (VIP rewards) So, it will be a waste of time and money to dump a lot of money into inactive gamblers... hoping that it will incentivize them to be more active.   Undecided

Excellent! We all receive promotional emails about active and upcoming deposit bonuses, tournaments & competitions... but cash rewards and free spins/bets are for active players. Loyalty programs exist for a reason, but not every casino has that!

And it's like that in my experience. From some casinos, where I was more active, I get a little treat from time to time. But from some casinos, where I have only one deposit and without much playing I get just ordinary promo material.

1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 19, 2023, 07:15:10 PM
Well, to be honest, this is an obvious scam...
A scam is a trick used to cheat someone out of money. At the same time, a scam in crypto investment is when the team behind a token is intended to stop the project and not try to grow the token price as soon as they raise a certain amount of money. And looking at their current trading graphs, they are clearly still working on the project.

It's easy to manipulate with trading graphs... if you have some funds to spare on that.

Yes, their idea is shit, and they intentionally tried to mislead people to some degree into thinking they are the official token of OpenAI. But they never tried to "scam" people. What they did was they took advantage of a trend. In fact, their token price has doubled since they launched their liquid pool, which is quite surprising.

I'm not trying to justify them. I'm trying to say that they're not the worst token people have created in recent years.

You are a bit contradictory. Their idea is shit, they are taking advantage of the current hype, but they are not trying to scam people with all that... yea, they are building the real project! They took a logo from some other project and their idea for what purposes?

Cartoon images? Really?
Those are AI generated images, and they perfectly fit their concept.

I'd point out their token allocation block as a clear indication of the "wait a minute" effect or their extremely poor documentation.

OK... I guess there's a big difference between Cartoon and AI-generated images. Either way, I check the site and I didn't like what I saw... let's talk in 6 months about this project, in that time we will see how far they got with the name/logo from another project, and AI-generated images instead of real developers. I don't even wish to check their token allocation block... that amount can just disappear at any moment.

In the end, it's just my opinion... Maybe I am wrong about this, but as I said, we will see in some time.
