1567  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 12, 2012, 02:30:56 PM
Ok im about to be in the market for more mining gear and im going the ASIC way. My faith in BFL being done in time is very low. With that being said I would love to have a choice, and not forced to go with one company. I wish you well in your venture and will be following very very close to progress.

1568  Economy / Securities / Re: Middle tier miner securities is bad idea? on: August 12, 2012, 02:16:31 PM
Are they stocks or bonds? Do the companies have growth plans if not, then of course they will shrink in profit and worth. I would stick to companies that offer shares with a growth plan. The thing is as more people mine they are getting squeezed out of the "Market". They need to add there mining size in order to either sustain the same return rate or grow it.
1569  Other / Meta / Re: "HYIP" subforum on: August 12, 2012, 02:11:33 PM
I suggest any investment program which refuses to reveal their business model that promises high yield returns be placed there.

I am agnostic on the pirate-related investment schemes but the lending forum is starting to resemble talkgold.com

I like this Idea as well, Think the securities and lending forum need to be tightened up. The whole pirate thing is choice of investor, if you feel good handing someone money over the internet to go do what they want with, that's your choice. Me I like to see what exactly there doing with it, for all we know it could be funding al-Qaeda lol.
1570  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 12, 2012, 02:05:01 PM
Probably irrelevant at this early stage but are there any plans for socket mounting and pin compatibility on future versions?

Also, should everything work out and hardware become available to buy might there be any discounts to shareholders?

Or maybe some test batches to investor for testing and feedback?

1580  Other / Meta / Re: Gathering Opinions: Stickies in Lending on: August 11, 2012, 03:15:00 PM
How about requiring proof of ID for people who want a sticky deposit thread?

To the sort of extent this guy did:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=98767.0

That'd help to weed out some of the scams surely?

It sucks cause anytime you mention ID, someone says they can fake it. But like anything there is a some risk, just like you could get hit by a car walking across the street. That being said you can always do things to lessen your risk, like looking both ways. But there is always that risk of something you can not control. People just have to understand with no central regulations there will be no sure way to prevent this. So the "what if" game can be played all day with bit coins and that's what is done everyday on here it seems.

I agree no Business should have a advantage over another and each business should have to market for themselves. At first I could not understand why they would not divide loans and deposits. But I guess here it is exactly the same thing with a different name and interest rate, so yes I would  say keep them the same thing.
