1561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smile-to-pay - facial payment technology in China on: September 07, 2019, 02:27:24 PM
China is taking the social credit system to a new level. Now they would have all money and loans on their face. The own face would be the private key for their wallet. It would be super easy unless people find a way to use others face. I hope they soon integrate a chip in every Chinese to be safe of face copying scam.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple transfer 500 million XRP tokens to its Escrow wallet on: September 07, 2019, 02:16:55 PM
Where did you get this information? Can I get a link?
So many crypto news sites have published this news a few days ago and you can find this news in the various sites but i just try to make you more easy to read that news right now and here you go
https://cointelegraph.com/news/ripple-transfers-500-million-xrp-from-its-escrow-wallet

The dead of ripple is begun and i just try to call those ripple holders to go out from the ripple ecosystem before it's too late and the company will be dumping all of premined coin to the market.

There were red flags on ripple than and now. Withdrawing from ones escrow wallet has definite meaning. With years of failure, the team wants to cashout the money for all the attempts and hard works they made for Ripple to succeed. It might be the last chance for large investors to exit without a loss.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: September 07, 2019, 02:06:53 PM
We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.

No, it doesn't mean any project a scam if they go through and ICO and doesn't make every program legit that goes through IEO.
For an example many of the IEO gone through binance launchpad had done an ICO, they were selected during the ICO process and a percentage of their ICO token was sold as IEO.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to exchange big amounts? on: September 06, 2019, 12:58:08 PM
Hey.
Is it safe to exchange big amounts on non-custodial exchangers like changelly or shapeshift, or are they designed for small transactions?
I'm a newbie and I want to know if it's safe. Also, I want to know if it's safe to exchange crypto on classical exchanges like binance.

They could be. But it would be wise to do exchange in batches than a large sum. Not because the security or legitimacy of the exchange but also for not attracting unnecessary attention. When you are exchanging something above 1BTC, the fees would be nearly similar for a 10BTC transaction and 10 1BTC transactions. I'd not bother to split any transaction below 1BTC.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BNB bought JEX and airdropping JEX tokens on: September 06, 2019, 12:30:31 AM
Binance acquired the JEX exchange and they are to airdrop the JEX tokens holded by the JEX team to BNB holders.
JEX is a competitive exchange with it's JEX token on Ethereum platform, Binance would move JEX to it's own Binance platform but would not be killing JEX as a competitor. They have assigned an autonomous team inside the Binance to work on JEX and develop it as a competitor of Binance.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: September 05, 2019, 04:37:57 PM
yes the fact is like that, in this crypto industry there is no full guarantee for you. Even in traditional investment, nothing guarantees you profit. There will be no certainty in future income, and if a project claims their tokens will become more and more expensive over time, it is very likely that they are lying. Of course, that does not mean that they are wrong, however, ensuring that everyone in the inevitable benefit is not responsible, to say the least. If you see a project that claims that your profits will grow tenfold in just six months, it's far more likely to be a good old Ponzi scheme than it really is, as seen in BitConnect.
So, no matter how this promise actually looks, if you see that the project offers you sky-high profits for literally no effort, it probably means that they want to make that profit out of you.

There was a time when every tokens yielded profit and people blindly jumped into any project to grab quick profit. But that token bubble is gone and now the crypto markets needs to compete with traditional market in regards of funding and investment. There have been approach to make crypto funding as secure as traditional funding but still there are many things to be achieved.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Disclamer: this post may seem full of hate on: September 05, 2019, 04:21:10 PM
Why the limits for crypto-on-crypto swap are so high? Disclamer: this post may seem full of hate

Hey guys.
I may be a total noob, but why the limits for swaping on crypto exhangers are so high? What if I want to test service on efficiency, why should I even think of the minimum amount of an exhange?
For example, on changelly crypto-on-crypto swap begins with 0.0003 BTC. Why not less and is there a reason users needed to be limited like that?

What are you possibly trying to test?
The main reason for the limit is of course the transaction fees. There's a fees related to transacting one coin to another, and as exchanges like Changelly needs two transactions for every step, anything around $1 would yield nothing as a transaction may go upto 50 cents.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Ether become an Independent currency like Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2019, 04:17:36 PM
it sounds like the mystical dream of an ethereum holder. this will never happen. Ethereum will not be accepted as a payment tool in any territory. Ethereum was not created for this.

Ethereum was created as a business platform and therefore there is a smart contract. In my opinion ethereum is different from bitcoin which functions as a digital currency or digital assets. Ethereum with its smart contract can be a business platform that can be used to make business efficient by making tokens.
That is true, Ethereum was never meant to be independent, and it is clearly visual form Its objective, the product of Ethereum is designed to be used by many industries and it is through their usage that Ethereum gets its value, so Ethereum cannot grow without being independent, and even in as much as bitcoin looks independent, it still depends on the use of it by end user to survive, without end users that would create demand, bitcoin would not have grown to this level.

The reasons why Ethereum is not properly functioning well now is because most of the projects too that were created under Ethereum are not properly functioning well, and until Ethereum produce is meeting up to the standard that most of its investors expected of him before it can start functioning properly.

But the development of Ethereum is dynamic and they could modify it as the users demand. Most of the miners, developers and investors sees Ethereum as a competitor to Bitcoin. By limiting the supply and increasing it's usability, Ethereum could be another utility cum investment currency like bitcoin.
1569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners in Hong Kong protests? on: September 05, 2019, 04:15:14 PM
Are there Bitcoiners in Hong Kong? How is the situation over there? I believe it should be Bitcoin's time, and help protesters in collecting donations, and help move value in Bitcoin.
I was not aware of the Hong Kong situation until i see this thread, hope it is regarding the extradition bill and i was dumbfound when i saw that 5 people are dead during these protest. I am yet to read the extend of these protest and the way in which the government is dealing these protesters by silencing everyone with brute force rather than sorting the root issues they have at hands.

So basically what is happening is that the protestors are trying to use any alternative to government backed organizations and technologies to boycott their government and this is what Bitcoin is meant to be. <An alternative payment option, when the first option fail for some reason.>  Wink
It is really great to see people trying to overcome any government regulation with the help of alternative payment methods but what if the government put a temporary ban on its usage until everything is calm. The way in which they have dealt these protest makes me wonder that the government will do everything in their power to stop any protest even banning alternative payments methods to fund any movements.

Economically speaking, Hong Kong is doomed anyway. When these demonstrations would settle, they would have a stricter policy on payments and China would make them realize who's the boss there. With no Chinese tourists and Chinese business, Hong Kong would be nothing. If China could economically control the politics of Taiwan, a far away political land, they'd punish every Hong Kong activist and helpers unless they leave the country.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is whitepaper important in the project? on: September 05, 2019, 01:32:08 PM
Whitepaper is the first thing you need to check if you are interested in the token. It provides the first glimpse of the project. A dedicated team would build a solid whitepaper with proper discussion about how the project an its token would work. They would provide the reasons why they'll succeed. A fixed percentage profit could seem appealing but they are outright scam.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: project products cannot function properly! on: September 05, 2019, 02:27:46 AM
The prime reason for this is people are not doing ICO to fund for the product but are creating products so that they'll be able to start an ICO. Even though your motive is good and is serious on your work, if you don't have the expertise, don't raise funds to learn.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we stop promoting scam project? on: September 05, 2019, 02:25:24 AM
Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.

What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?

Though some scam are obvious, it's really difficult to distinguish most. And there's no common place to list and discuss about scams.
Many people even don't bother to do a little research about the project.
Many of the scam projects are much more appealing than the legit ones. And most of times people put their individual profit ahead of everything.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Bitcoin price increases suddenly. What will happen? on: September 05, 2019, 01:20:49 AM
If Bitcoin price increases suddenly.
Does this change encourage buyers to consider investing in Crypto solutions like ICO platform or Exchange Software Development for their Business?

I don't think so would happen. A sudden increase does not signify the real use and usability of a coin. It would certainly draw attentions of investors but would put off merchants and people who transacts with Bitcoin. It would also cause another price crash which would lead to another long depression.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 03, 2019, 05:24:10 PM
Osaka is out already, Bencic has a nice game, so Naomi really had a bad year I guess.

Unfortunately, Zeverev and Rublev are also gone, beaten by Schwartzman and Berettini respectively.  So the men side as well is open, with Nadal, Medvedev and Federer still in the hunt.

Interesting match to watch Medvedev vs Wawrinka.

Yes we were talking about Osaka a few weeks ago on here saying that she hasn't had a good year after winning the Australian Open at the start of the year, since then she has gone down hill and hasn't looked the same. Maybe its time for her to take a break and come back better and stronger next year.

I really thought that this US Open could be another break through performance for her. Sadly, she could be one of those on the women's side that once reached the top spot, their careers went South.

The Men's side is now wide open for anyone to win however I still think Nadal will be tough to beat and the same with Federer but then again we may finally see one of the up and comers win this year which will be great for Men's tennis. Zverev has once again let himself down, I'm not sure if he will ever win a Grand Slam as he always loses at vital stages of the tournaments.

Nadal is playing good tennis, surprisingly at this stage, but yes we do hope that someone will step up and see a new winner this year. Although Zverev has reached lots of QF this year, he still fall short.

Medvedev vs Wawrinka in about an hour. This is going to be good, IMHO.

Medvedev vs Wawrinka is surely the toughest Quarterfinals of this tournament. Medvedev is reaching his high form while wawrinka has been struggling for quite a time now. So, things would be in favor for Medvedev. Of all the quarterfinalist, I'd consider Medvedev and Federer to have the highest probability of wining the grand slam. So, the semis between the winner of this match and Federer may decide the winner of US Open.
1575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the government definition of Bitcoin, influence addoption. on: September 01, 2019, 05:53:08 PM
The government's definition has a mixed impact on the society. Largely their every statement are boosting the adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
People have realized that bitcoin is a way to freedom. A universal voice of freedom that could free us all apart from the chains of government. They'll make us free of our brainwashing and national propaganda and make us think of a government really by the people themselves where every one could possibly have a voice for everything that matters.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do u think about BNB? Worth to buy? on: September 01, 2019, 05:48:38 PM
Now is good time to bought BNB because the price is cheap from it all time high. And we have all reasons to expect that price will raise. Why? Because is real good coin with great future.
BNB is a promising coin, but its popularity depends on the success of the IEO, and now the popularity of the IEO is beginning to fall and therefore the price of BNB is also falling

BNB was over $30, I waited till it came to $26 and bought some in the hope that new lending scheme on binance would boost it's price, but to the contratory, It has decreased to $21.
It really needs a new IEO issuance in the lauchpad to get some boost in the price.
Their new burning policy of burning the tokens held by team could be a good thing for long term,  if the Binance's reign continued long enough but has no positive effect on current price of BNB as they are not siphoning the BNB from the market. And the burning doesn't make a large sense for BNB holders as the site's profit are going back to the team itself. Basically they are using the site's profit to burn their own coin. That's not burning but exchanging.
1577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOUNTIES WITH REGIONAL RESTRICTION. on: September 01, 2019, 05:02:59 PM
I though that cryptocurrency is Meant for everyone. i thought that one of the reason is to create a decentralized system. for everybody on this planet in need to fight of the centralized economic system.

1;WHY Do we have projects that places restriction for investors from certain regions.

2;Why do some project owners ban some regions from participating in the Marketing campaigns of their project but Rather allows such people to invest in their project.

Well the first question is understandable but still Not clear to me BUT THE Second, is apt.

Most of the restrictions are to evade the strict jurisdiction of that country which bans ICO or have strict laws to follow. For example banning USA.
Some are to evade countries that are being sanctioned by the country of project's jurisdiction.
And some are just to exclude unnecessary hassles.
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / US Airforce is using blockchain on: September 01, 2019, 02:29:37 PM
The secure nature of data transfer through blockchain makes blockchain a prime factor for the next generation security and anonymity and the US airforce doesn't want to lag behind any other forces. They seemed to have made contracts with two popular blockchain firms to develop a blockchain primarily for communication among units and stations.

1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 01, 2019, 02:07:27 PM
SL opted to bat first. Both the team is playing under two bowlers Malinga and Southee. I think both teams will perform good, the pitch is in favor of batsman. The match is getting delayed for raining.

It has started now. Lockie Ferguson is not playing due to a thumb injury. I just hope that it is not serious. The match is taking place in the city of Kandy, which is a bit far away from Colombo. Nice to see provincial cities being given their due. Anyway, so far so good for Sri Lanka. Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera have given them a slow, but solid start. There is no Boult/Ferguson, so they should be looking for a target in excess of 180.

Sri Lanka had a good start. 50 for 1 in 6th over. It's good to see Sri Lankan batsmen delivering. Whatever the results be, This is going to be an important series for personal record of Malinga. And this record would be a good trophy for one of the greatest pace bowler of our times.
1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I move Bitbay off of Bittrex? I am crypto challenged. HELP!! on: August 31, 2019, 07:55:36 PM
Anybody?

Can you be a little more specific as there is no Bitbay coin listed in Bittrex exchange.
In order to find the wallet supported by any coin or token, you should first find out if they have their own blockchain or are a token in the blockchain of any other coins.
If it has own blockchain, heading to it's official website and downloading it's official wallet is the way. If it's some sort of token, you can use the respective web wallet or paper wallet with you holding the private key.
