So again, I keep asking and have yet to get a response What does GLDCoin do better or different than other currently available and more popular cryptos? I understand that you guys like it because it's easy to mine and you're in it early, but why would anyone want to use it if they weren't mining it or expecting the price to continue going up because more people are speculating in it? We call that the "Greater Fool" theory - it works until you run out of greater fools. If you were in it for the profits, you'd be doing everything you can to convince people that there is opportunity - Like for example giving away GLDcoins so more people are invested in it succeeding, because they got coins for free and if they go up in value it will pay off for them. One last time: Outside of getting GLDcoins on the cheap and hoping they go up in value, WHY would ANYONE want to use this over other already existing chains like Litecoin? Last time I'm going to ask, I'll just assume you have no answer if nobody answers again. For me it the transaction speed, seems very fast, faster than bitcoin. In addition to the above, i'll be honest here, it's the first coin that I can mine with my single GPU that I feel like I have a say in what happens to it. I also happen to like the name for what that is worth. To date I have mined ~6,000 coins, purchased ~30,000 on cryptsy, pledged and or given away more than ~7000 coins. I don't have $1000's or $10's of thousands of dollars to throw at a mining farm to mine bitcoin or even litecoin, that money is tied up in stocks, forex and physical silver, which I am not going to touch. In addition I like the people that are involved with GoldCoin and I get to participate and see actual results from my contributions. Others may feel differently, Others may have other reasons why, but for me the above is the absolute truth, take it or leave it. |

Hey Guys, finally I managed to set up a P2Pool for GoldCoin on my Server  Its reachable through crypto-coins.de:8909As it is P2Pool, just use your Wallet Address as Username and a random Passwort Example: cgminer.exe --scrypt -u ECGDM4tiC3L6rM5eCKYg5foQG9uY7esTqL -p fghdfdgh -o crypto-coins.de:8909] Fee is just 1% All my Pools are running very very smooth. I have very satisfied users. just me while I repect your support for gldcoin please don't get it listed on other exchanges.
now I know little about computers, programming, or bitcoins so from time to time I ask noob questions
but I do know markets, its what i do.
volume is everything, it defines a bull or bear market. and doing a bit of research on these alt currencies its pretty clear listing on multi exchanges dries up vol and kills them.
just look at the coins with little trades on the exchanges, atm dispite fluctuations gldcoin has rather healthy trade volumes.

Want to know something else? Due to the fact I am paying out GLDcoin to people who vote GLD in the poll, it is making my mind more and more acquainted with writing GLD. I don't know. My mind was defaulting to the word Bitcoin, but now GLD is starting to take over for me. Reposted with no explanation: I took a quick look at this coin, this is what I found: - dev premined heavily on this. He first premined 2,000,000 coins (first 200 blocks), called it "bounty" - then insiders heavily mined all the 1000-coin blocks. Said they "should be a day", was finished in just 2-3 hours. This is about another 2,000,000 coins. - after that (about 2pm 5/15), some limited people may start mining, the 1st 2500 blocks (corresponding to 4 millions coins) are already grabbed by the insiders. - it was not until 6pm that day, a formal announcement was made about this coin ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=206377.0 - there was a pre-announcement thread before, which later becomes the main thread), by that time, 8000+ blocks are gone. This corresponds to an unbelievable 7,000,000 coins. Guys, does it make any sense to mine a coin like this?? It is complete garbage. You can check the time stamps in the blockchain broswer yourself!
