Can you give a rough idea, perhaps on a map, where this is located?  Do you accept escrow?  Tongue
15642  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [high grade].1 BTC casascius silver MS-68 on: July 14, 2015, 03:13:36 AM
I've still got a couple ungraded ones...  Very high quality to my untrained eye.  I think I will hold out on selling any more until someone makes me an offer I can't refuse.  Tongue
15643  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Use the force! Don't waste the heat! on: July 13, 2015, 05:19:39 PM
Definitely cool (or hot?).  As I was making jerky over the weekend, I couldn't help but think that an S5 would have done just as good of a job as my food dehydrator...  Would be cool to see more people putting their heat to creative uses like this.
15644  Economy / Speculation / Re: WE JUST HIT $300 BULLMARKET CONFIRMED! (Now for real..) on: July 12, 2015, 03:41:42 PM
Sheer fact that it's going up way too fast again is a near perfect indicator of a very big crash.

Aren't you that guy who sold his coins for $10?

Ouch.
15645  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: July 11, 2015, 05:37:21 PM
Just wanted to express again how happy I am with the monumental effort everyone involved here has put in to making NastyFans as great as it is.   I'm happy to be part of a mining operation that's shown commitment to integrity and transparency.   With the recent situation in Greece, a colleague of mine took an interest in bitcoin, and I was happy to get him started.   I then told him about NastyFans and he's purchased several seats because he sees the value of NastyFans and the benefits of being a part of this group.   I'm happy to see the recent uptick in price too, I think this is a result of the management and the active role the fans play as well here.   The three year anniversary was a big milestone, there's been a lot of groups that have had huge initial interest only to become a scam or something that didn't weather the changing world of crypto currency.  Yet here we are today a part of something bigger, and well...I just wanted to say thanks everyone, and it's great to bring others into the fold on something as great as we have here.

Thank you very much for the kind words.  I am also very happy to be a part of such a great organization.

Have you guys considered doing a group buy + hosting of mining hardware?

Not only will we get somewhat cheaper hardware, but we will get significantly cheaper hosting rates if we colocate them all together for a long fixed term (I know a hosting provider with large volume discounts). Could be worth looking into, if you want me to run some numbers.

I'd be super interested in pitching in myself for some hardware this way, because most small customers pay a premium for being small! I think this could be a valuable service for the mining community.

I've considered it.  I know the toomim brothers have a nice operation.  If there are fans interested in helping to foot the bill for something like this, I am sure I would be able to find those willing to donate equipment.  NastyMining hasn't pursued this because I pay all of the electricity costs personally, so I cannot afford to pay for hosting all of the equipment that people have been willing to donate as a long term plan.  A few years ago we were involved with a couple group buys with hosting.  Most of them turned out to be scams, and the ones that weren't made very little profit.  I think the preference for me personally would be for fans to step up and host a unit on behalf of NastyFans, but I realize that isn't a realistic expectation.  There is an interesting USB miner project by sidehack that will produce a very energy efficient USB miner that fans may be more willing to host.  The hashrate is pretty low, but perhaps giving away a few of these sticks might be a way to encourage more fan mining participation as a way to continue growing the distributions.

15647  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 5oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: July 09, 2015, 06:24:47 PM
What country if you don't mind me asking?  Did the package appear tampered with, as though it had been opened and re-packaged?  Would be nice to know which countries charged VAT vs which ones they slipped through on.  I listed them as commercial engraving samples, which usually find their way through customs without any issues with the 1oz coins, but perhaps 5oz was a bit heavy for that...

Country is Belgium.

Package was not tampered with, they just stuck an additional paper on the packaging Smiley

They took the total package value (US$115) and used that to calculate VAT + 12 EUR in administrative costs Smiley

It is a good thing they were declared only as the silver value then.   Wink

Just got mine in today and had to snap some photos:

Very nice coins with an extremely well done finish!  Grin

Great pics!  I like how well you captured the holograms.

Is automation a requirement?  If you were looking for a more personal touch, or perhaps to even pay to have something developed for you, I could probably be of some assistance (click the escrow link in my thread for some feedback on my escrow).

15657  Economy / Services / Re: Starting an Investing Company on: July 08, 2015, 04:57:37 PM
I am offering 0.5% a day to anyone who will invest in me.

Offering >500% annual compounded rate with no business plan and negative trust.  Sounds legit.  What Bitcoin address do I send all my BTC to?
15658  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2 BFL Monarchs - 0.8 BTC for 1 / 1.2 BTC gets both shipped in the US on: July 08, 2015, 05:54:18 AM
I have 1 of each remaining.  Will take 1.2 BTC for both. The best they can do is about 0.5w/gh. I'll also take 0.8 BTC for just the 700gh/s.
15659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Snapchat worth 15 billion. Bitcoin market cap: 3.82 billion on: July 08, 2015, 02:47:27 AM
How many Snapchat users?

A quick google search shows 30 million Snapchat users to 4 million Bitcoin users.  No idea how accurate either of those numbers are.

Very nice coin.

Thanks.  Any international purchasers receive their coins yet?
