15681  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Pre-Order] 2oz NastyFans Minted Seats (Limited Gold Version - 19 Left) on: October 04, 2015, 10:48:02 PM
I like to order the 450$ Pre Order Package.

Let me know when you're ready and we'll make it happen.

Og, how bout a 1oz gold coin  Shocked

I wouldn't be able to do a 1oz gold coin because it would be too small.  A 2oz gold coin is a possibility, but would be extremely expensive.  I have discussed it at length with a few interested parties, and if there were a few more I could realistically see that becoming a reality a year from now.
15682  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: October 04, 2015, 12:34:06 AM
Pre-orders for the 2oz Minted Seats have gone live.  There are currently 19 remaining with gold highlights.

15683  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] 2oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: October 03, 2015, 08:04:45 PM
2oz NastyFans Minted Seats!               Also available in 1oz & 5oz sizes.

Available for purchase now in the NastyShop.

The size of a 2oz coin allowed for a new design on the back.  There is also a version minted in extremely limited quantity (25) with gold highlighting (sold out).
The gold highlighted pre-order list can be found here.

NastyFans Minted Seat Features:
  • Receives & Stores Bitcoin Distributions for 2 NastyFans Seats
  • 2oz .999 Fine Silver
  • 47mm in Diameter
  • Proof-like Finish
  • Tamper-Evident Security Hologram
  • Engraved Public & Private Keys
  • Sequential Public Key Vanity Addresses (i.e. 1nastyxx)
  • Limited 250 Coin Production Batch (25 w/ gold highlighting)
  • Sealed in Plastic Airtite Capsule
  • 50% of Regular Sales Donated to NastyFans
  • Coin Analyzer available at nastyfans.uberbills.com

These coins are similar to physical bitcoins you see from Casascius and others.  I'll highlight a few of the major differences.

First of it's kind!  Coins are tied to NastyFans seats and not preloaded with BTC.  By not preloading these coins with BTC, they are not only cheaper to purchase than their competitors, but the potential is there for the BTC address engraved on the coin to continue rising forever with regular NastyFans BTC distributions, as opposed to being a fixed amount as with similar physical Bitcoin options.  It's like having a Bitcoin miner with no costs or effort to maintain.

No more printed keys!  These keys are engraved, and forever attached to the coin.  A tamper evident hologram is placed over the private key to help alleviate security concerns.

No more firstbits!  Your entire public key is engraved on the coin, eliminating any uncertainty that may exist about your coin's public address.

Sequential vanity Bitcoin addresses!  Know exactly what coin number you hold by the public address.  Each coin begins with 1nasty and is sequentially numbered with the following two characters.

Limited production batch!  Only 250 coins produced (25 with gold highlights).  Being tied to seats instead of BTC also makes these coins extremely limited, as there are a limited # of NastyFans seats.

Revenue sharing!  With 50% of regular sales being donated to NastyFans, this is a giant fundraiser for all NastyFans.  You know your funds are going back to the Bitcoin community and helping to support a great organization that is dedicated to doing good for Bitcoin.  It is my hope that these coins will provide happiness to existing fans, while at the same time exposing NastyFans to a new group of potential members.

15686  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: September 29, 2015, 09:34:28 PM

The goal is to have them begin shipping in January.  There will be 225 all silver coins and 25 gold highlighted coins.  I am going to make the 25 gold highlighted coins available in pre-order packages.  They will be 47mm in diameter and will have the same proof-like finish as the 5oz coins.

I'll just leave this here for now...

15688  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Custom Miners Supposedly Better Than S7? on: September 24, 2015, 01:56:40 PM
... If it is, I will tell you what it is called - after I have cleared out their inventory  Smiley.

So you are not going to tell us? Cheesy Is it a preorder or has your friend hands on it?

I will tell you but if I put a link here now I'll never get a chance to buy one.  He is going to let me know if it works and I bet they will get some more orders if it does.  After that,  I will post it here.  Don't want to spoil it for him.

Don't post the link here. The miner is fake, the company is a scam, and your "friend" is most likely trying to con you out of your money.

15690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin billboard on: September 22, 2015, 07:13:39 PM
Does anyone know how much those billboards costs approximatly ? (monthly , yearly or whatever)

Depends on the location.  I looked into it a while back and the ones you can see from the freeway near my house are around $75,000 per month.  There is a billboard off the beaten track out here a ways away from basically anyone that would see it, and it is only a few hundred per month...  Might be good to rent for the publicity of it, but not so much the advertising aspect.  Shit, might not even cost that much to BUY it and have it be a permanent Bitcoin advertisement if people were interested...

15696  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Thinking of Starting a Pool Based in the US. on: September 18, 2015, 12:07:36 AM
Starting a pool from scratch is difficult.  I'd recommend looking into having a p2pool node, or even mining under a p2pool sub-pool like NastyPool to get more consistent payouts for your users.
15697  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Searching a Coupon for a s7 order on: September 17, 2015, 11:57:53 PM
I offered to sell one for 0.1 BTC but he was looking for a freebie.
15698  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [ANN] MinerFarm - Virtual Mining Game for Real Bitcoin on: September 17, 2015, 08:55:35 PM
For instance, if I was so inclined, I could open a pool with zero fees and generate a massive following and monopoly of users.  At this point, it just seems like "here's a list of pools, and everyone joins the cheapest one".

Kind of like RL.

Not really...because in real life there is more to pools than fees, but In the game, comparing pools consists only of fees.  In real life, I have lots of options for mining pools, including some with low, low fees, but I choose one with fees because their features justify it.  In the game, every pool has the same general feature set.

In real life, sure pools can come along and undercut fees, but there's so much more to it than fees in real life.

Pools in real life can have forums and unique features or generate income in other ways, like advertising.  So a pool in real life might say, we don't have any fees, but then put in ads to subsidize.  Or pools in real life can expand to new coins or mutlicoin scripts.

All I'm suggesting is that if pools in the game are going consist of comparing merely fees, I think to entice more investors into the game, there needs to be a way of controlling users coming and just spending .05BTC to run a pool with zero fees for the hell of it.

It remains to be seen if there is any kind of marketing advantage to running a pool on MinerFarm.  So far I have not seen any additional users to NastyPool in real life, so I assume the advantages are most likely not worth the ongoing fees.  You never know though...  As we march towards lower fees and increased pool competition, I am curious how things will pan out.

NastyPool is once again the lowest fee pool in MinerFarm.
15699  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: September 16, 2015, 08:00:22 PM
When I see expected payout for this round does it refer to the 7 day payout period?

I'd have to know where you're seeing this to know exactly what it is.  I believe you are referring to the miners page though, and that the expected payout per round is for the current p2pool block.  Meaning you should see higher earnings than that per 7 day payout period, as we are currently expecting to hit a block every 2 days and 15 hours.
15700  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS (10) Bitmain Antminer S4 on: September 15, 2015, 07:28:26 PM
What? A brand new account selling high value items without any proof of ownership and not wanting escrow?

What on earth could go wrong........ Roll Eyes

Mods need to start being more liberal with the ban hammer and raising fees for TOR users.  I think 70% of the posts in this section are blatant scams by lazy teenagers.  It is starting to have a negative effect on the user experience here.
