nil, you are probably referring to me. I am "WinYou". I have provided all the information there is in my thread, and it's easily verifiable. A proof of concept with the attack is there.
1582  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is PrimeDice really (provably)fair? Well, it isn't. on: November 08, 2013, 07:35:21 PM
Yes, it is fair. You can read Bitcoin Reviewer's post on provably fair bitcoin to see how the system actually works.

Just because you were unlucky does not mean that the game is unfair.

you are trippin' fool!~ now you chumps are really starting to piss me off this provably fair nonsense ~ its done! You look very very stupid and scammy using this term in my honest opinion! SPAM YOUR BS ELSEWHERE!!  Cool

THE LAW IN NEVADA REQUIRES A RNG  FOR A REASON!!!

About the Author?LMAO= WHAT IS YOUR NAME?  Roll Eyes

Results from a random number generator can be manipulated easily. Provably fair results cannot.
Just posting this link again http://v20.nl/primedice/.

While the "client seed" is no more, and has been replaced by a nonce, it's again trivial to predict it, 1,2,3,4 etc so the website above is still valid.
1583  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is PrimeDice really (provably)fair? on: November 08, 2013, 07:17:23 PM
While the server seed exists. Selective hashes can still be done, it's so trivial right now.

I should probably write a proof of concept script that shows this in action.

4th seed ?  Roll Eyes
The server seed needs to get removed. Do it like coinroll.it. Increment a nonce, and use the server secret. That much ELIMINATES the problem. The owner can still predict what you will roll, but cannot manipulate it.

you know this, and that's how you can reverse and trick them LOL!!!  Wink
I have no idea what you just said.

While the server seed exists. Selective hashes can still be done, it's so trivial right now. Even with this "nonce" that gets incremented, it's simple to just try and predict what the next nonce will be.

I should probably write a proof of concept script that shows this in action.

It's possible, no sure way to find out, though it sounds a bit far fetched as well.

What are you guys talking about? All I see is
This user is currently ignored.
 Cheesy

how do you ignore ppl?

why do you think this happened?  Roll Eyes
I'm ignored? Why? I only asked Stunna, because I've had legitimate concerns about prime dice before(and still do) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253144.120 and all of a sudden the website vanishes.

@Stunna,

Tell me, how did the database fail? I mean, your server is pretty much brand new, how would say the HDD fail so quickly? I've used my PC for the last 3.5 years for gaming, for blockchain parsing(months) and it's still alive and kicking.
If it's not the HDD, it can't fail in any other way, because a computer follows what you tell it(programming) so there is no way it could corrupt the database.

TradeFortress, you seem very very calm about losing a significant amount of the people's Bitcoins. Acting as if nothing has happened.
1591  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox has lost my Btc. Where's my money? on: November 07, 2013, 02:10:08 PM
Sounds like they will scam you, the signs have been there since 2011.
1592  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What can I buy? on: November 07, 2013, 01:38:28 AM
Buy 10 Jalapeno from BFL. I hear they ship immediately.
Heh, I see what you did there  Grin
1593  Other / Off-topic / Re: So I bought some of them cloud mining GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 01:34:44 AM
Well you won't earn them back that way with or without the hashpower..
Why?

Because its overpriced...
Just a bit, yes. If it's down to 0.08 and less, I think it's a bang for the buck type of deal, but there are fees per gh/s per hour too.
1594  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What can I buy? on: November 07, 2013, 01:33:36 AM
your username hurts my eyes.
Well yeah, it's been two days Tongue. On a serious note, I was not planning to stay with this username, but the forum no longer allows me to change it back or to something else.
1595  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What can I buy? on: November 07, 2013, 01:22:41 AM
I have $1500 saved for a used car ...

Uh, so why don't you buy a used car with it, as planned?
Because then I lose any money that I can use to say earn more money off of btc? And perhaps because I want a bit more expensive car, and 1500 is nowhere near enough for it?
1596  Other / Off-topic / Re: So I bought some of them cloud mining GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 12:53:12 AM

Are you insane? Your cards would die that way. Why would you want that?
1598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What can I buy? on: November 06, 2013, 09:33:37 PM
We are always in uncharted waters, I remember back in 2011 when the price all of a sudden jumped to 30 dollars, everyone was like BUBBLE, and it turned out be true, but lately with China...it's no longer a bubble.

Anyway, I purchased 3.3Gh/s at Cex.io which are mining as we speak, but then the question arose what happens when and if the site shuts down and I have like say even more Gh/s.
1599  Bitcoin / Hardware / What can I buy? on: November 06, 2013, 09:17:55 PM
I have $1500 saved for a used car, if I consolidate all my coins I can probably get it over 2000 and was wondering if there was ANY nice GH/s unit out there that is assembled/works out of the box, that I can purchase with ~$2000+ dollars that ships like ASAP?
1600  Other / Off-topic / So I bought some of them cloud mining GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 09:10:21 PM
And to be honest I was blinded that I wanted to invest heavily in CEX.io, to the point where I was thinking of requesting a 12BTC loan here to buy at least 100gh/s more of mining power, then I saw on their forums a guy asking what happens with their hashing power if the site shuts down and my ideas got crushed.

I mean imagine me having to return a 12btc loan, and all of a sudden my 100-150gh/s go poof?
