Still fork occurs.
please elaborate Our pool was well working but from block 74986, it is forked and mining on other block chain. Connection is not zero. 21 now. But poolhash.org shows other block chain though. It happened 5 hours ago too. Where's the seed server? Why block chain is not synced? Guess there are old wallets in the network, dont know, but I got it synced (downloading the entire blockchain didn't even work) just adding -listen=0 in the darkcoin-qt, parameters, so it only has seed source for the blockchain..

Darkcoin does not need to be accepted anywhere to have value. It is the Swiss Francs of the crypto world. It is private banking in crypto form. This only adds to the value =)

Theres something seriously wrong with this miner. the pool shows good hashrate, the miner shows good hashrate, work are accepted to the pool. BUT, I have a small server farms.. and here's the results.
same rate pool hash..
Example with this miner.. predicted payout: 0.02107948 DRK
with regular sph-sgminer with lower hashspeeds. predicted payout: 0.04507948 DRK

IMO BlackCoin could be serious threat to DarkCoin. As a community we should take it seriously:
1. If BC implement DarkSend, DRK could be doomed 2. BC multipool is going to use X11 (this is already happening, it is just a matter of days) 3. I think that more "average Joe" kind of people will consider DarkCoin just a copy of BC because they will firstly hear about blackcoin, which is a big hype nowdays, and they have great marketing(Apple is big copy-cat, but people find it innovative ).
Pumps (and dumps) happen in altcoin-land all the time. Stop panicking. And if BC tried to mine DRK, they wouldn't impact price much. The more hashes they contribute, the fewer total coins there will be per day. +1 Epic pump... make no mistakes, epic dump will follow. There is nothing special warranting that price. Auroracoin anyone? Pumpers have been slowly buying @ 500-1000 satoshi, then Twitter campaign for a couple weeks and careful buy support to pump slowly. Only question, is it still a greed phase, or delusion: Result: With careful sales pumpers can get 50-100 times return. It's not all bad if the new floor ends up higher than before, just a lot of suckers loosing by buying at high prices and holding. Looks like blackcoin is following the chart. Its going down to affordable levels for those that missed out last time And you have to remember darkcoin has a face, real person behind it...

** Difficulty Retargets every minute using Dark Gravity Wave V2
yeah right
int DiffMode = 1; if (fTestNet) { if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 5) { DiffMode = 3; } } else { if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 34140) { DiffMode = 3; } else if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 15200) { DiffMode = 2; } }
if (DiffMode == 1) { return GetNextWorkRequired_V1(pindexLast, pblock); } else if (DiffMode == 2) { return GetNextWorkRequired_V2(pindexLast, pblock); } else if (DiffMode == 3) { return DarkGravityWave(pindexLast, pblock); } return DarkGravityWave(pindexLast, pblock);
|
|
|
and btw. unsigned int static GetNextWorkRequired(const CBlockIndex* pindexLast, const CBlockHeader *pblock) { int DiffMode = 1; if (fTestNet) { if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 15) { DiffMode = 4; } else if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 5) { DiffMode = 3; } } else { if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 45000) { DiffMode = 4; } else if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 34140) { DiffMode = 3; } else if (pindexLast->nHeight+1 >= 15200) { DiffMode = 2; } }
if (DiffMode == 1) { return GetNextWorkRequired_V1(pindexLast, pblock); } else if (DiffMode == 2) { return GetNextWorkRequired_V2(pindexLast, pblock); } else if (DiffMode == 3) { return DarkGravityWave(pindexLast, pblock); } else if (DiffMode == 4) { return DarkGravityWave2(pindexLast, pblock); } return DarkGravityWave2(pindexLast, pblock); }
you are not using DGW2, you have the darkcoin hardforks inplace...

Wallet Fix: 1.- Download Wallet V2 from www.limecoin.org2.- go to C:/Users/youusername/appdata/roaming/ and delete the folder .limecoin (SAVE YOUR WALLET.DATĦĦĦ it has all your coins) 3.- Start the new Wallet 4.- Enjoy your LimeCoinsĦĦĦ I did that. And it was synchronicing 11 hours ago before I left the house. When I came back after 10 hours the wallet again was out of synch and trying to download the 46k blocks from ...suposly darkcoin? It's almost 24 hours now. Wasted 10 hours of my miners and couldn't mine a single coin. Your coin is broken and I give it up. well this coin has P2P_PREFIX , unsigned char pchMessageStar same as darkcoins, so... which it should not have...

I disagree, I think it's the concept of the D that looks neat. I don't even think it's "badass", it just looks well thought out and professional. (Imagine this except with that metal texture and higher quality -- I'm missing the actually source to this logo) When do we see the POLL? for the logo?
|
|
|
I would totally disagree, like any logo it should work also in black and white, like when you print it only black and white... and it's still regocnisable as the same logo.

There can't be any discussion - these are all too colourful. The one that Evan really liked is definitely the slickest one. It's really sharp and aggressive and looks amazingly professional.
Too colorful? There are only 2 colors on logos showed above. Orange and gray ; blue and black. I don't think it is too colorful You're right it's not that bad. Of course this is the one I'm taking about. It struck me right away as being the perfect mix of style and substance. It definitely looks like something I would use regularly to make payments. I can imagine myself saying "do you take darkcoin?" in any store in the future with a logo like that. Anyways that's my opinion of course. Would love to see how the plaid D in the logo works as its usually the logo in the Exchanges.. So would like to see it smaller, is it still clear.
