1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 22, 2023, 09:07:21 AM
The rich are rich usually because they are smart with finances and investments, not because they gamble and got lucky. They may partake in a casino trip here and there but they're not gambling millions of dollars a day. I don't know the percentages, but I think most people are gambling for entertainment regardless of their status in society.
It is good to gamble responsibly. And if a gambler is gambling responsibly, he needs to have gambling budget and it should be very small in percentage to the 100 percentage of what he is earning every week. But in reality, some people see gambling as a way to make money and they become addicted and they later sufferred losses. I have read on an article before that 20% of gamblers are likely to be addicts. Which is truly that not still most people in the population.

Among the American rich people, I have read a PDF before that compared between how rich people are gambling and how much they spend on vacation. It was estimated that rich people spend much on gambling, but which is still less than the amount they spend on vacation.
1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You on: July 22, 2023, 09:00:02 AM
Lol some of those posts that people come up with crack me up. If I were to take this question seriously, which Im having a bit of a hard time doing, then I would say it all depends on how much the rich father has and at what point in time I’d inherit it.
The father that has little to offer can not say something like that. The father will have properties that is worthy and he do not want his son to just find it easy and use what he built for tens of years to gamble.

Sports gambling is something you can be good at, or get good at, but there’s no guarantees involved in it, so that would really help me make my decision.
That is no guarantee in it just like you have said. The wise decision is to quite gambling for the years the father said. But I do not think the father can say five years because most people will prefer the son to quite gambling finally.
1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the latest information on NitrogenSports.eu? on: July 21, 2023, 04:23:58 PM
The reason I am asking is because I was approached by someone representing Nitrobetting.eu which seems to be another gambling website. Nitrogensports.eu redirects to Nitrobetting.eu which makes me think they are related. They approached me to run some form of a campaign here on Bitcointalk.
They are the same site.

It is a gambling site with bad reputation on this forum.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 21, 2023, 03:02:03 PM
So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?
According to what have I researched on in the past, rich people gamble too. They are less in number than average and poor people, but they spend more.

In a population of 100%, likely the highly rich people may not be more than 20%, while 30% can be the average and 50% the people that are not rich at all. If what I said is not accurate because it can differ from places to places, more people will still fall under average and poor.

So who do you expect to gamble more? They are the average and poor people because they are more in population.

Also that, highly rich people are not likely to gamble if comparing it with average and poor people. Poor people do gamble to risk little, expecting that one day they will hit the jackpot. But some can be addicted.
1585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Bitcoin Wallets ? on: July 21, 2023, 09:05:08 AM
Metamask does not support native Bitcoin.
Not to mention that its a freaking browser extension! I have absolutely no idea why it is so popular; I can't think of a less secure way to store your coins than in a browser extension of all places.
Because it is one of the first altcoins wallets. It is supporting many coins and their tokens. I do not know if it is open source or close source, but it has Android and iOS apps. For not having computer apps for Linux, Windows and MaxOS, I will put it into the category of wallet extension too.

I made a withdraw on Binance some weeks ago. The coin was TUSD on Binance Smart Chain. BSC developere did something that time which makes the coin not to show on Unstoppable wallet. I was thinking it was unstoppable wallet that might caused it before. I created Trustwallet to check and I sent $5 worth of TUSD on BSC to an address on Trustwallet that I created. I did not see the coin and I created this topic:

Solved. I can now transfer the coin.

I used Metamask to solve the problem.

I used passphrase on Unstoppable wallet because I am afraid to backup my seed phrase without having passphrase. Iancoleman that I opened on text editor on an offline device and Matamask wallet saved me. If the wallet is open source and have computer apps instead of the browser extension, the wallet would be one of the best altcoins wallets. I used the mobile app when there is no computer app.
1586  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone is still using Paxful? on: July 21, 2023, 08:15:12 AM
How does Paxful provide a gift card escrow service, where you cannot redeem thses cadrs more than once, so how escrow know who this scamming, as I can withdraw the balance of the gift card and claim that it was used or could be stolen, hacked, or with an incorrect balance, how does Paxful escrow work here. Binance P2P is currently the best as Binance can freeze, delay and control trading with the possibility of spot and staking and other features of binance which not only P2P.
About gift cards, I have people in my area that do complain that the buyer of the gift card will say the card has been used. How Paxful will know the person that is saying the truth between buyer and seller, I do not know. This is one of the reasons I avoid anything about gift cards. But you can check buyers and sellers that are trustworthy on the exchange with users positive and negative ratings.

For bitcoin and other crypto P2P centralized exchanges, there are other exchanges that are good. Kucoin, OKX, Bybit and Huobi are all good too. And some other exchanges can be good too. Have you used P2P on such exchanges that I mentioned before?
1587  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone is still using Paxful? on: July 20, 2023, 05:24:00 PM
This is probably worth checking too: https://www.reddit.com/r/paxful/

Lots of people are reporting being scammed, sometimes even by very reputable sellers on the platform. It's difficult to say what's going on here. Did the sellers suddenly decide to scam? Does someone from the previous administration still have access to the accounts somehow? Is the new administration scamming users?
It is centralized P2P. P2P is not centralized but for the sake of understanding what I am talking about. If you want to sell your coin, only release the coin from escrow after you have seen the money the buyer send to your account. If you are the buyer, fast to report if the seller is hesitating to release coin after you have sent the money. I am referring to newbies.

For gift card, it is normal on gift card exchanges that a card has been used which will lead to something like scam or not scam. One thing I have hate to do online is to sell gift card. I sell only bitcoin and stable coin like USDT.

Because of what I saw on the link that you give us above, I will say that people should not use Paxful again if the issue is not about gift cards.
1588  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 20, 2023, 05:11:51 PM
Yes people need to see the positive side of this. Bitcoins are not increasing more than 30k usd, but it also not going down right. Moreover if you think this as an opportunity then you are able to buy this high valued asset in 1/3rd of the price. So rather stop worrying and complaining and buy as many coins as you can in this low price. Bitcoins price will only go up when the demand to acquire it increases. So yes we have to show some patience and watch the price.
People need to see the positive side because if the price fall back to $25000 or $20000, the price will still increase and go back to $30000 and increase above it. Before next 2 to 3 years, I am expecting the price of bitcoin to increased above $100000 which is the positive thing we need to be looking at.

But this speculation is just for a short period of time. $30000 was the support price before but recently it become the resistant price which is what I am talking about. Let see what would happen. In short term speculation, someone can be very wrong, but I see bitcoin moving above $30000 to be something hard to achieve for now and likely the price would first decrease before moving up again.
1589  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USB Mining > ASIC on: July 20, 2023, 11:22:06 AM
This belongs to mining board, move it to mining board. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0

You should be able to buy ASIC machines directly from the company that is manufacturing the  ASIC machines. The best among them that I know is Bitmain Antminer. You can buy Bitmain Antminer directly on their official website: https://www.bitmain.com/
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kuwait Bans Bitcoin and crypto payments, investement and mining on: July 20, 2023, 09:38:47 AM
Rubbish. I am referring to the Kuwaiti government.

They can ban Kuwaiti dinar and all the foreign reserves they have too. All of them are used by criminals.

Bitcoin do not depend on a single country.

I personally wasn't expecting this, especially with their neighbor (UAE and Bahrain) doing the total opposite.
If some bitcoin critics are in government, there is nothing that can be done. But they like or not, a day is coming that more countries out of scanty that do not support bitcoin will support bitcoin and they will likely be among. Time will speak.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You on: July 20, 2023, 08:16:46 AM
Will you explain to him that you are doing great and you are not a compulsive gambler
Will just stop gambling  and be practical and get that multi million inheritance
You'll just go on with your passion and just forget the money that your father will give to you as inheritance.
My father is rich and want to hand over his business or huge amount of money for me, but on only one condition, that I should stop gambling for five years. I will stop to gamble for five years.

But in real life, the father would want the child to stop gambling forever.

Although gambling is fun for me and I can not become an addict anymore. I quit gambling myself for a year plus, so to quit gambling for 5 years is never going to be a problem for me.

My father even know that I have changed and gambling can not be a problem for me anymore. But I will still listen to his idea.
1592  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone is still using Paxful? on: July 19, 2023, 01:51:20 PM
Go to Paxful yourself, you will see people that are advertising their ads for buying and selling on the site and you will easily know if there are active trades on the exchange.

I know it is a KYCed p2p platform so no need for anyone to suggest about no KYC P2P alternatives like Bisq cause I want to make sure everything is okay before resuming my day trading activities on that Paxful.
Paxful is not P2P, it is just like Binance, Kucoin P2P and others that are centralized. Bisq is a decentralized exchange. P2P exchanges are not centralized.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 19, 2023, 12:54:31 PM
all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right.
If it is sport, refer the gambling site as bookie or bookmaker. If they offer both sport and casino games, you can refer to the site as bookie or bookmaker too because you are referring to sport. If you are referring to casino games, then you can use casino. Or better use gambling site to generalize it.

quote author=Sim_card link=topic=5460328.msg62572606#msg62572606 date=1689770361]
So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
Let's discuss.
[/quote]
Has a friend of yours tells you that why it would be just one match and it is the match that make him lost. I have friends that have told me that several times and it is happening to me too.

The one that was very painful for me was when I accumulated more than 10 odds with 8 matches. All matches played that day except one which is Sao Paulo versus another club in Seria A (Brazil). I have forgotten the second club but it was a small club to Sao Paulo at the time. It has the smallest odds which is 1.01 odds or so for over 0.5. No goal scored in the match and I lost the match.

There has been many like that which I have lost. But that is just gambling. As for me, I do not cash out, I prefer all the match to be played. Even while gambling on in-play matches, I may prefer to stop watching the match rather than to cash out. After the match has been played finish, I will check the score.
1594  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance adds support for the Lightning network on: July 19, 2023, 11:32:35 AM
I hope to see it after the next update.

The news was announced yesterday, and it reflected immediately for those using the web wallet.
I just updated my mobile wallet, and the lightning network option has appeared. Once you update your app to the latest version, I believe it will automatically be made available, as I have tried it for both my Android and iOS devices.
Are you reading what we are posting on this thread? It is like you just read the first person that replied to this thread which was me and you post without trading other replies. Read the others posts on this thread before posting. You can see that I have other posts too on this thread.

You do not have to update your Binance app before you will see the lightning network update. Like I have said, read what we have posted before about this.
1595  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I paid 200$ to recover my 400$ deposit on rollbit, still waiting for my recovery on: July 19, 2023, 11:02:28 AM
I strictly spoke to the livechat.
Its about Rollbit, not Duelbits.

My betting account is not banned, I simply got banned from chat. (I was a bit rude I have to admit so I probably deserve the 24h mute)
To make it easier, show proof.

Sorry about that. Rollbit account on this forum is not that active, but you can try and contact them: Rollbitcom

You can post your complaints on their official thread on this forum too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5326640.0
1596  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I paid 200$ to recover my 400$ deposit on rollbit, still waiting for my recovery on: July 19, 2023, 10:53:31 AM
Which of their customer service that you used? I mean how did you contact them?

2. How come a 10 million dollar casino can't implement a cross-chain dapp (like sideshift) to accept literally any crypto on any chain?
Some newbies do fall for this mistake. If it is not your key, it is not your coin. Assuming it is a noncustodial wallet, you will easily be able to spend your coins.

Support is not answering since 2 days anymore, I really don't know what to do. I even just got banned in the chat asking for my money.
Banned? But not your betting account that was banned?

I hope Rollbitcom can see this.

You can also send him PM:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3067300
1597  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining On 2023 from home on: July 19, 2023, 08:12:33 AM
I post this topic to discuss what is the best mining devise to use for mining Bitcoin from home and what is the expected time period to get the investment back?
You want to mine bitcoin from home. My suggestion would be to use ASIC too, they are the only mining machines that can be used to mine bitcoin for now. Among them, buying Bitmain Antminer would be good. There are other products too but Bitmain Antminer has been the best.

You need to know that ASIC are miners that make noise very well. For your home, you may need noice reducer or war that is noise proof. The noise from ASIC can really be disturbing.
1598  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much time for a Duelbits withdrawal? Been 24h+ on: July 19, 2023, 07:56:08 AM
Hello,
I withdrew 20.000 usdt after winning in Baccarat on Duelbits (total deposits 12000). I’ve been waiting for more than 24hours and no payment. I’ve never played there before, so those who play there is this a common issue?
I will advice you to contact the customer care. Crypto withdrawal on crypto gambling sites are very fast, unlike the fiat gambling sites. The withdrawal supposed to take less than 24 hours (Duelbit even said withdrawal is instantly). But you said it is more than 24 hours now. Better to contact their customers care as soon as possible.
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 18, 2023, 07:49:03 PM
I think when the price of Bitcoin will surpass 33K, then we will officially be in a bull season, but it may take some time as we may get rejected from this level a few times before we actually surpass this price level.
What so far that I understand in this year, since January we have been in bull season, followed by mild bear market, but still bitcoin has been above $30000 for a long time this year. We may have bull season but I am just speculating what could happen in short term. What I noticed recently is that the bears may win before they will become the bulls which might lead to another bull market. But as for now, bear market seems what to be coming. Let us see as what the market will turn out to be, I may not be right. It is just a speculation.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling everywhere on: July 18, 2023, 01:10:37 PM
So if you use our saved money to stake a bet, what really comes next to your mind? I will like us to talk about this.
If you save just 5% or less of your weekly income to gamble, that is savings and a budget for gambling that can not affect your financial life.

On this forum, there are many punters and the only way to educate ourselves is to let others know how we gamble responsibly, making profit and loss and yet still not affected by gambling because we gamble responsibly. It is not good to be addicted at all.

One of the thing I see very useful about gambling on this gambling board is the education we give ourselves on gambling addiction. It is really worth it. If you know that you are becoming addicted to gambling, it is better to just quit.
