The rapid growth in women's game within India can also be attributed to this. India is a country of 1.4 billion people, and a large share of that population is in the younger age groups. They are hungry for sports events and it is being reflected in the women's cricket matches.
There is no doubt that Indians are crazy for cricket. I wasn't able to see today's match, but I am sure it must be on high side. This is good for women cricket and for upcoming WIPL. Right now in terms of performance only Australia is leader and its good to see Indian women beating them in 2nd T20I.
