1581  Local / India / Re: why indians afraid to invest in crypto on: August 09, 2023, 11:00:44 AM
Indians do invest in cryptocurrency. Infact they are the biggest investor of meme coins as through meme coins and with some luck they can achieve financial freedom. They might not be interested in Bitcoin but they are preety crazy about shit coins. I do not know why OP assumed that they are not big investors.

Hey! Welcome to the forum.

For me nothing has changed. I am still waiting to be part of the financial revolution. I have also read inspiring stories and have joined this journey by being part of the forum. I still feel the same but it takes a lot of time to keep yourself updated.
1584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: risk of centralization of bitcoin. on: August 03, 2023, 07:00:53 AM
Mining pools are composed of many miners and not an individual. If such an issue arises which I doubt miners can switch pools to save the network. I won't dismiss the risk but for more than a decade no one tried it and no one will be able to do it.
1585  Local / India / Re: Reincarnation of our community on: August 02, 2023, 05:37:19 AM
I really liked this word in your title Reincarnation. It is true from where we were some month back to where we are now looks promising. I don't think we need to do anything different at the moment. What we all are doing is good and we continue with it is important. Next year we have the halving event and in all probability we will see the next bull run. The traffic on our local board will return again.
1586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: alright someone please explain this on: August 02, 2023, 05:30:51 AM
If you want Bitcoin transactions to be faster than Ethereum then start using Lightning Network. Payment confirmation takes place in a few seconds. Recently Binance has also integrated the Lightning Network.
1587  Other / Meta / Re: re: "how to earn merit" topics on: August 01, 2023, 12:23:44 PM
Not all the threads were bad when I read them as a newbie. I sometime, after reading the topic felt that the writer behind might be a senior member disguised as a newbie. Then my suspicion would go down the drain because of spelling & grammar mistakes. I have read replies of a lot of senior members here and they are always good in writing. I would still encourage such topics as they only help new members to achieve thier goal here of gaining merits.

Thanks.
1588  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some poker terminologies you may want to know on: August 01, 2023, 12:11:43 PM
I know Poker requires a lot of patience and a straight face to win. I also know without skills it is impossible to win a poker game. I never played the game but has be always fascinated by it. The reason being it is most shown card games in movies & series. I was not aware of so many terms being used to play this game. Looks like it will take time for me to understand this list. Anyways the list looks good and interesting.
1589  Local / India / Re: Worldcoin: the cryptocurrency that wants to scan your balls on: July 29, 2023, 10:07:44 AM
Agreeing with pakhitheboss they are here because the government allowed them to. This is the problem on one side they do not want to promote cryptocurrencies and now they are allowing a project which has questionable privacy practices. Let's see how this project holds up in the crypto market.
1590  Local / India / Re: Supreme Court Grants Bail To Man Booked For Cryptocurrency Fraud on: July 29, 2023, 10:03:35 AM
Sometimes I question myself when I hear a weired verdict from our judiciary whether it was correct or not. Not questioning the judiciary but in present times there have been instances where verdicts from higher courts have made a nuisance of their understanding about the law. Coming back to question asked by OP, regulations won't stop financial crime if they were effective then many fiat currencies fraud would have stopped.
1591  Local / India / Re: Which CEX to trade now after Kucoin new KYC requirment? on: July 29, 2023, 09:57:56 AM
Bitget exchange does allow withdrawal of $50k to non KYC user. You can check my reply that I have left on the other thread by ananyabushra. I have submitted the correct link to the post that provides that information. They have not mentioned  that this service is restricted for Indian users. OP you can add this exchange on your list but you do need to keep a track as Bitget tends to change their policy quite often.

Tysm for your support mate!
I had already shared the same link with him before, but he wasn't pleased with it at that time

Hey! Not an issue. Whenever you want to provide an information make sure to attach a link from where you found the information. Unless you do that you would encounter such issues on the forum.

Thanks.
1592  Other / Meta / Re: Are these flaws of SMF forum software? on: July 28, 2023, 12:28:48 PM
If you have a user in your ignore list then you would be able to still see the post of that user if quoted by another user. Avatar and personal text are also visible to an ignored user. I am not sure if this issue is because of the old version as the forum version is 1.1.19, whereas the newest version released is 2.0.16. I am not sure whether a patch would stop this problem, you may give it a try.
1593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Little knowledge and understanding navigating bitcoin transaction fees - Help me on: July 28, 2023, 12:07:24 PM
How do i know the right transaction fee?

Check https://www.mempool.space/ for the current transaction fees on the Bitcoin network. This is where you would be able to find out how much time it will take for a transaction to confirm depending on the fee you choose.

Is there a way to minimize transaction fee?

Yes, if you are using noncustodial wallets like Electrum and others. You can reduce the transaction after checking the memepool but this might result in your transaction getting delayed or even not getting confirmed.

What are the factors that can influence these transaction fees?

In most cases, it depends on the sudden volume rise on the network that results in congestion. Sometimes the miners are also responsible as they start accepting high-fee transactions first and low-fee transactions later.

Actually what OP is saying is correct. Unfortunately she is unable to submit a proof to justify her claim. I was able to find out the post from the exchange by visiting their telegram channel. According to the post which was published on January this year non KYC user can make $50 withdrawal daily. In case if anyone want to check the article then please click on this link : https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/360053002431

1597  Local / India / List of Indian crypto Tax Calculator and Filer. on: July 18, 2023, 01:22:11 PM
I recently came across a new video by LLA on their YouTube channel. It was all about cryptocurrency tax and how to calculate it as well as where to file it. If you still have any doubts about crypto tax, then I recommend their video. The video was sponsored by clear tax naturally they did show on how to use their platform. I did visit the platform and found it to be very simple and easy to understand. What make my eyebrow go up was the atrocious fee they were charging for calculating & filing. I may be wrong, but I felt my local CA charging me less than what they were asking.

This where it all started! Before I go further, I would like to inform everyone here on the board that I am unable to use these platforms as I am not liable to pay any tax for the last financial year. I would request fellow members to share their experience if they have used any of the listed platforms below.

Since, I was not happy about the fee charged by clear tax I went ahead and did a few searches on Google & YouTube about other platforms that were providing the same service. I was able to find 4 more and I am listing them according to the fee, which from cheap to costly according to my understanding.

As I have mentioned earlier this list is based on fees being charged, wherein I am focusing on the fee part. Again, I am repeating if anyone here has filed the tax using anyone of these platforms then do share your experience.

Thanks.
1598  Other / Meta / Re: The problems newbies face on: July 18, 2023, 08:28:16 AM
You should be open to take both negative and positive comments when you are on a public forum. I haven't seen anyone getting attack here but in few occasions newbies do get trolled. Which is far lesser here than other forums or social media platforms. Learn from your mistakes and work hard on improving your writing skills if you want to succeed here.
1599  Local / India / Re: P2P Trade for Indian board members on: July 16, 2023, 01:53:56 PM
It seems the time has come to find out an option  to counter this stupid tax. I am all if the future of my existence on this forum allows me to make some Bitcoin with signature campaign.
1600  Other / Meta / Re: Forum having issues? on: July 10, 2023, 08:33:07 AM
I only got the Cloudflare verification page, not facing any other issues. All pages are opening swiftly, and I have not faced any issues while replying to a thread. Looks like the issue that everyone was facing yesterday has been resolved today. I think this thread should be locked for now.
