1581  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FREE BITCOIN Sites *and* Free Newbie Lotto on: November 03, 2013, 10:48:21 PM
dailyfreebitcoin and Funkyfaucet don't give me the captcha, both sites show: "domain / ckey mismatch (nXvrlYPLKJEYUo0Pj6u8iSb4AJUesZxC)".

I don't have that problem with dailyfreebitcoin but I do with Funkyfaucet, which is why it has that * next to it.

Thanks for the report.

1583  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: November 03, 2013, 04:36:24 PM
This site is also nice: http://freebitco.in/?op=home#

It's a mix between a faucet and dicegambling.

Thanks for the submission. I will check it out.

Have gotten a payout from here? Or perhaps it is your site?
Do you know what the minimum balance one needs there before a payout is made?
1584  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: November 03, 2013, 04:34:10 PM

Hey Guys! The faucet is finally back online and working! Thanks for your patience!

It seems to have that timer issue again.  What is the frequency one is allowed to apply for another payout?
It worked when I first tried it after you said hear it was fixed and then I waited for more than half and hour
and it gave me a message saying to please come back in 54 minutes...  I came back a couple hours later
and now it is telling me to wait 49 minutes...

Oh yeah, bitcoinget. I didn't get paid for some videos a while back so stopped. I'll have a skeet back.

Yes I had problems with them at first as well but they have grown to be one of the more reliable and popular sites.
1587  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: November 02, 2013, 05:04:42 PM
bitcoiner.net is also running out of funds please update

I usually give these sites a little time to see if they get back into action before giving them a * or removing them from the list...
especially with long time faucets that have been running reliably for so long like bitcoiner.
1588  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: November 02, 2013, 05:02:30 PM
Ask people to upgrade to my faucet 0.13 which shows the balance.

My only contact with these faucet owners is through this thread so hopefully they are reading this.

Nice!

I will have to go buy up some more HIM units that got pushed down so low due to the recent uncertainty.  Smiley

i tried this on XP Pro SP3 32-bit (with nothing else special installed), then installed the xp build from earlier in this thread.  still getting the same errors in logfile upon running:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "ArmoryQt.py", line 21, in <module>
  File "psutil\__init__.pyc", line 85, in <module>

  File "_psutil_mswindows.pyc", line 12, in <module>
File "_psutil_mswindows.pyc", line 10, in __load
ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified procedure could not be found.

did i miss another implied step somewhere in this?

Have you installed the MSVC9 redist from the link I gave? If you did, can you copy msvcp90.dll and put in your Armory installation folder? It's should be in Program Files/Visual Studio 9.0/VC/Redist/X86

Are you referring to this?  If not, I've missed another link somewhere.

Yes, I installed the above.  Can't find an instance of the .dll from it though....

You'll have to use XP's search feature ( select Start, then Search, then "All files and folders", and then type in the name of the file... )
you will probably find a few different files of that name in different places.

Check the date to make sure you grab the one you just installed.  You might not have much luck getting it to work,
like me, but let us know how you do.

Does nowhere show videos any more? Apart from cointube?

BitcoinGet

Sometimes there are lots, some days not very many, and I think it may depend on ones
location on what and how many videos one is presented with.

I avoid doing the tasks and offers at that site and just wait for new videos
( one only needs to watch the first 30 seconds or so in order to get credited ).

I am trying to get this running on XP 32bit as well.

I found msvcp90.dll in another place ( I don't have a Program Files/Visual Studio 9.0/  dir. ).
I put it in the Armory folder and still get the same error message above as els.

Thanks for helping out with this... I think there may be others like him and me who want to use an old XP system for an offline wallet.

It needs to be the msvcp90.dll from the package I linked. There are several versions of this DLL distributed by MS and py2exe only links against the one from that package. Regardless, I've concluded this path is too convoluted. I've found a simple way to build the entire project with msvc9/10 toolsets, that still support WinXP. I'll update the msvs projects once I'm back home, push them to my branch and have Alan build and distribute a test version with these. So this'll have to wait till Monday, sorry.

Judging by the time stamp displayed in the filemanager the msvcp90.dll I used was the one I installed just yesterday from that link you provided.

Looking forward to that new update you talk about above... I can wait til Monday.

( Over the weekend I was going to install a version of linux in virtualbox and install armory in there... so maybe I can use that, for at least a temporary location for an offline wallet. I hope there are no security issues in doing something like that, as long as I don't allow networking. )

Thanks for your efforts.

Why is not PrimeDice faucet on the list? It has good payout every minute. You have to gamble it at higher odds and withdraw only if you hit, but still good minute payout...

This is a list of Free Bitcoin sites not gambling sites.

Yeah, the MyWallet sites are very tricky. First, the server needs to meet bootstrap requirements, which many of these faucets do not.

Second, the code is sloppy, so you need to re-work it. Only a few people have debugged their MyFaucets to handle the level of requests, and the server they are on.

Blud was working on his site for a bit. He debugged the hell out of it, even though it looks like a generic MyFaucet, it's not. He wants to be around for a long time, so we'll see. Very promising so far.

http://bludsfaucet.com/?id=65

I use MyFaucet, it can indeed be very buggy/had issues, I fixed all that were noticeable and run smoothly now. but yeah, I could've better just made a script from scratch probably. On top of that, the script cost me 0.36BTC because it had a security leak causing funds to get stolen. That hurt my wallet a bit.
EDIT: This was a while ago and obviously everything has been resolved. I paid it out of my own wallet because they were donations and it'd only be fair.

His site still has just generic ads and has no contact form. how is he site making any coins? Please pass this information on to him.

Has anyone had a payout from that Blud's Faucet? With a 20KSat minimum cashout it will be quite a while yet before I can confirm this site.

Bitcoininformation.info BlockChain faucet has come back now.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that here:

There was a small double spend problem (don't ask me how it happened, because I have no idea), but it has been fixed and the BlockChain withdraws have been enabled again (I disabled them because of that problem).
I would like to thank the owner of LandOfBitcoin.com, because he helped me through this mess.

Thanks for the reports.
1600  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: October 31, 2013, 04:31:01 PM
Actually, compared to having bought your first on Jun 16th like me (when Bitcoin was around $110) it's not a better deal.

If you're pricing in dollars, which they are not. I paid 1 bitcoin for a Trezor, when if I had ordered today, I could have paid 1 bitcoin for 2 Trezors. I assumed being an early supporter would offer greater benefit than being a late supporter. I was wrong. I thought Stick and Slush would be different than BFL. I was wrong. I'm done pre-ordering anything related to bitcoin.

Well if you and these other complainers aren't interested in supporting new tech like this and helping it get off the ground and helping the whole Bitcoin economy and community then you shouldn't be pre-ordering.  It is ridiculous to see comparisons to BFL!
