1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 28, 2021, 07:52:41 AM
While the Lakers woes continue, so do the Nets. James Harden is struggling big time out there with the ball. I had assumed this was because he spent his summer partying with rappers and is not in nba shape, but it seems like people are saying this is the result of rule changes taking the free throw line away from him. If it is rule changes to blame, the Nets need Kyrie bad at the point… I wonder how much longer this vaccine nonsense will rule all.
Looking at his stats on the FT on the game against the Heat, he only had 3 FT and made all 3, that was not his average back in the Houston Rockets and last season with the Nets.

As we can see in https://www.espn.com/nba/stats/player/_/stat/free-throws/table/offensive/sort/avgFreeThrowsMade/dir/desc (just filter the FTA) Harden is only ranked at number 47 which is too far compared to his previous seasons.

REGULAR SEASONS AVERAGE
2020-2021 FTA 7.3 average rank #8 ( team Nets)
2019-2020 FTA  11.8   average rank #1 (team Rockets)
2018-2019 FTA 11.0 average rank #1  (team Rockets)
2017-2018 FTA 10.1 average rank #1  (team Rockets)
2016-2017 FTA 10.9 average rank #1  (team Rockets)
2015-2016 FTA 10.2 average rank #1  (team Rockets)
2014-2015 FTA 10.2 average rank #1  (team Rockets)

1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 28, 2021, 07:05:27 AM
^^ They could be on the same card, co-main event according to this report:

Quote
Earlier this month, WBC bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire revealed that he was “finalizing” a December 11th clash with interim champion and mandatory challenger Reymart Gaballo. Now, the reliable Julius Julianis reports that the fight could serve as half of a Dubai doubleheader with John Riel Casimero vs. Paul Butler, which was already targeted for that date.

https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/10/26/22747243/nonito-donaire-vs-reymart-gaballo-could-join-casimero-butler-december-11-boxing-news-2021

That will be an interesting twist as we can see both fights in the same night. And since Donaire and Casimero are now under the same management, most likely this fight is going to happen.

So let's just wait for the official announcement, it will be huge if this is going to be true two championship fight in one card and involving fighters that will potentially clash in the future.

I also think the same but if this will be on the same card, then what do you think guys on who will be the main event?

Both fights are a title match so I think there will be a change and it will be held on a separate scheduled date.

But rather than speculating, you are right, let's wait for the official announcement.

I think Donaire will be the main event although because his name attracts the audience and I'm sure promoters knows that.

It's a double header where both champions will be fighting, but we will only see one match on the last fight and that's probably the Donaire vs Gaballo fight if indeed they'll make it happen at the same date.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your top coin to invest in for passive income? on: October 27, 2021, 11:36:52 PM
Formerly don't like to invest because I am afraid, but when I understand the trend of investment and other means of earning, I start investing in a project after spending months in their telegram group, have been in earning, the project that I look up to now is Cla, Raca and Polytrade.
Crypto has a lot more way to give us profits and earn a living. But not all coins or projects can give us passive income because some are only good for nothing and only give us losses in the end. But if we chose those coins who are in the top 10 CMC like bitcoin, ethereum, BNB and even SOL, they are good for passive income because by holding them effortless, you are making your own profits once their prices reach at their peaks. As long as you never gets tired patiently waiting in crypto, you will always come up with a passive income in crypto. Crypto might be risky than any other investments, but the returns is worth the wait.
1584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We enter a new era of heavy regulations on: October 27, 2021, 10:47:33 PM
these are already happening around the world many exchanges currently disabling accounts and few are temporarily banned or sending emails about withdraw your funds or complete your KYC as I already have this issue and my few accounts under temporarily banned situation because they have very strict policy now.

Even Binance is also going very stick with this all in near future we will not able to have any safe heaven for our adventure in this crypto world because day by day regulations are coming for many companies, and they have no choice just accept and banned peoples those don't like this KYC.
In every situation people always find a way out. I don’t know for sure if there’s going to be a time when regulation is going to be too heavy to the extent that people won’t be able to maintain their privacy through making use of cryptocurrency. But, if that should happen in the future, I think there will still be people who would continue making use of peer to peer methods, and there are also decentralized exchanges these days, and there are so many of them that we can find this time around in the cryptocurrency community.

So, maybe when that kind of time comes, this platforms are going to be of help to us. But if not possible, then we'll have to follow whatever the government says we should do, Since we have no other option.
I guess we should have to follow the rules and regulations that they implemented or else, we do against them and the chance is they will seize our crypto, that seems the worst thing to happen. It was expected to have this scenario and in fact, this has been a plan by the government to take control of the use of crypto and make it legalized. However, it takes so many years before it becomes official and that it comes, we have to do nothing but to abide the rules. That seems no problem anyway if they are just fair to all of us.
No, the government won't definitely come to the point that they will be fair to all decentralized crypto traders. This is the reason why we are having heavy regulations by now because the government want us to stop from crypto activities and move into fiat. But as long as bitcoin remains decentralized, then they can't fully trace all our  trading activities  and its a good thing really so we can continue trading and make profits despite of the market's heavy regulations.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 27, 2021, 12:18:15 PM
I still haven't found any confirmed date and month for this match. Did anyone find any legitimate source when this match is likely to happen?

I can't find any date as well, maybe they are working on the background and trying to push this fight this year at least December so that it will be a good year for boxing.

I do agree with @arwin100, the pressure will still be on Casimero's shoulder to perform and show the world that he can still knock out his opponents and face the Monster next. We don't want a boring fight like the last one. He has been in this kind of situation though, so I'm confident that Casimero will win in this fight.

Rigo is a boring fighter, not Casimero's fault if his opponent doesn't want to be aggressive and make a good counter punch.

That last fight also teaches Casimero good lesson, he should be add more patience and observe
how his opponent will bring the fight.

From that point, he will be able to plan a better strategy and a possible KO once he already
understand the characteristic of his opponent inside the ring.

I agree with that, that was the most boring fight of Casimero that I witnessed and that was because his opponent was just running all throughout the fight. We will never gonna see it again s no promoter would be happy seeing that especially if the fans are booing because they like actions in the ring.

Mayweather seems to be the father of that method.

Mind you, Rigo was not boring against Donaire, and in fact, he won that fight, but when he fought Casimero, seems like he is afraid of Casimero's power so he forgot to engage and he is just running to survive. IMO, his career is over, he should retire and he can no longer win against a younger fighter, I'm sure his country is already proud of his achievement in boxing.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 27, 2021, 11:52:26 AM

Therefore my pick is LA CLIPPERS -3.

This gives me my 4th win streak, and it was an easy win.

Onto my next pick, hope the streak will stay alive.

Game :  Miami at Brooklyn

A potential ECF, and I'm gonna be watching this game live.

This is a road game for the Miami Heat and I don't like their road record so far, they are 0-1 with a loss against the Pacers, so I'll be backing the Nets to win here and cover the -4.5 spread.

My pick: NETS -4.5, GL!

Both teams came from a good win, but with a nice explanation, I also see that Nets may take this one.

Looking forward to see KD to keep taking the responsibilities to carry the team, still no problem without Kyrie as Mills is doing the job.

More to expect from Harden here, Miami is a tough team to play. They've got Butler and Bam who can explode any time, plus Herro and
Robinson who is both good from the outside.

Both offenses are barely needed if Nets wants to impress their fans. GL!

Miami Heat could win their first road game and the ML is good as well, but I'm not touching this game since you guys are betting on the Nets and I don't want to go against you because I'm not confident with that.

I am thinking of betting on the Lakers but the spread is too high, -8.5 currently and without James, I don't know if I could gamble for that. So I might buy some points and it's okay if the odds will reduce.

1587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we coming to the 5th wave? on: October 27, 2021, 08:45:43 AM
Alessio Rastani is one of the Elliot Wave (EV) Acholits and on his last video, the guy is saying that from the perspective of EV theory the big picture says we are coming to a 5th wave. I don't have any opinion on this, but from what the guy says the 5th wave is the point where the bear market is longer and deeper than the other Waves. According to him, this means bad news for bitcoin. I'm no expert in EV theory but the truth is that there are a lot of guys making accurate predictions using EV. What do you guys think about what this guy says?

I may not be an expert on these lubin predictions, but what do EVs have to do with Bitcoin prices? Moreover, how they can affect the depth of the bear market ... I think this is, as always, a normal throw-in, for your own hype, perhaps, of course, if everyone buys electric cars for bitcoins, but this process, on the contrary, will affect the growth of its price.
Honestly, i'm not familiar with this Elliot Wave theory. But the fact that this remains a theory, so its explanations are just based on pure assumptions. Some may become true, some may even go too far from being possible. So i really don't easily believe on this because bitcoin price movements are basically based from its own demand and from its own time of cycle. As we all know, it only has bearish and bullish season, and when bullish trend is over, its always expected that a bearish trend will take over. And there are times that its price movement is also based from the news that affects the market, whether its positive or negative one.
1588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Good news through Mastercard. on: October 27, 2021, 06:38:57 AM
This makes the adoption getting bigger and we should celebrate by now.

Mastercard is a billion-dollar company, according to this article, https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/MA/mastercard/net-worth, its net worth as of October 26, 2021, rises to $356.09B, imagine how much money would circulate in the network of this company and how easy crypto transactions would be using one of the biggest financial company in the world.

From the very beginning, they announce accepting crypto, I can already see the huge impact in the future and we should consider this reason as the basis for still holding bitcoin long term.

Quote
Mastercard is preparing to announce that any of the thousands of banks and millions of merchants on its payments network can soon integrate crypto into their products, CNBC has learned.

1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: End of bull run so we sell everything? on: October 27, 2021, 06:13:50 AM
Maybe what happened, OP should take a look at the problem for himself and see what he missed.
You have no control over your own investment when there are still external factors influencing. I have personally made these mistakes before, when I needed cash to spend my life, but the funds didn't allow it and my investment plan fell through. Sometimes good preparation is a huge advantage in a game.
That's bad planning from the start, we all have an emergency situation in life that we need money, but if in the first place you already planned it well, you don't have to touch your investment to spend for the emergency as you could have allocated funds for that certain purpose from the very start.

They say, only invest what you can afford to lose, which means you need to have savings first before planning to risk investing your money and you don't need to invest everything you have.
1590  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: October 26, 2021, 10:45:28 PM
In my opinion the current bull market is just beginning. Since we predictors  are guessing that the price of Bitcoin will be the highest this year or next year. Therefore, there are 2 more months left till the end of this year. So it can be said that Bitcoin will enter the bull market. Various analysts are predicting that this year's bull market will last a long time.
The bull market has just started weeks ago so i don't think it will come to an end soon. Bitcoin is still stuck in $60k-$61k and maybe in its two months left, that's when we see its price reaching $65k-$80k if there will be no big market crash that may leave a huge negative impact on the market. However, if that's the case, bitcoin will certainly recover as always but it will be tough for altcoins knowing some of them are not really in a high surge at the moment. Only potential altcoins do.
1591  Economy / Economics / Re: Really, why bitcoin has this value? on: October 26, 2021, 08:56:36 AM
At some point I am really messed up and lost in vein when it comes to bitcoin's price. I think that every second it gets more and more a victim of speculation and gets abandoned from its original idea.
If bitcoin could perform very well at 6K some months ago, why it become 60K after some months? And then it went back to 30K but was still functioning very smoothly, i.e. it was doing the job it was created for.
Again, If bitcoin could perform well at 30K some weeks ago, then why it worth 60K right now? I just don't get it when people say that bitcoin isn't speculated and all of these prices are just natural.

Much like the stock market - trying to understand the waves is almost impossible because it is driven by such a collective amount of irrational behavior. When Bitcoin is doing well and all the news is positive people flock to it. When a few bad developments hit the news, like eco-unfriendly concerns, possible US regulations or China banning it outright, then people all try to flee at the same time. Similar things happen in the boom and bust cycles that drive stock ownership but are amplified much more greatly because it is a single asset getting so much attention. Nothing much actually changed, just the static noise around it was producing a certain overall buy or sell signal.
In general, it has an unstable price because it fully depends on the community and its market demand. The price is speculated, not manipulated and in this case, people won't stop predicting the price no matter what. It is just about accepting and making deal with the volatility of the market because whether we like it or not, that it remains like that till forever.
It is a way we have to adopt the system, people make money from this because of such volatility and I guess they are happy too. People make happy of its existence not because they can use this to buy things or to pay their bills but it was considered as a profitable investment/asset.
Due to bitcoin's volatility, it is always understood that at some time, its price is high, and then it becomes lower or even higher the next time around. Aside from that, the demand of bitcoin in the market also tells why bitcoin has a value like that or like this. For now, since the price is ultimately high, then its because bitcoin's demand is always growing, and the higher it grows, the more valuable bitcoin becomes.

Well, do not be confused why bitcoin tends to change its price from time to time. It has its own reasons, and you'll get used to it eventually.
1592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks either adapt or face death on: October 25, 2021, 07:23:22 PM
Banks & governments are going to have to start being bitcoin friendly in the next 10 years or they can just sign their own death cert right now. Bitcoin is the present & definitely the future, adapt or get left behind.
We can't totally say that banks will face its end once it will not adopt crypto. There is a process for that. I believe the massive adoption for crypto has already started because as we can see, some big countries and their government have already legalized and adopted bitcoin. So in less than a decade, we will witness again new countries start to adopt crypto and when this adoption will become mainstream, i am certain that banks will soon to integrate crypto into their transactions.

However, if government will also use their power to launch their own centralized crypto, then that will surely create another problem. Maybe decentralized crypto will find it hard to be fully adopted but one thing i am certain, the government cannot control the people from investing into bitcoin and other decentralized crypto.
1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: October 22, 2021, 09:10:51 PM
in my honest opinion, i really think that Dogecoin cannot survive without Elon Musk, why?
because it's all because of Elon Musk effect that Dogecoin can hold out and survive until now, i don't think that dogecoin can maintain its existence if Elon Musk really stop supporting it.
LOL, is Elon Musk still supporting dogecoin now ? and when Dogecoin has been in cryptocurrency since 2013, does Elon Musk know him ?
This makes me wonder when did you know Dogecoin and when did you know Elon Musk Grin Grin
No, that's not what we are talking about here, look, DOGE was recognized as a meme coin in the past although it has a good trading volume when Elon started to shill DOGE, it almost went to $1 and the current price is still high, so if Elon will stop supporting DOGE, there's no reason it will survive at the current standing as it was only because of Elon on why DOGE has pumped this high, that's the real logic here.

The question now is, do you still see the same hype of DOGE we have before? if not, then we should expect for DOGE to eventually have a correction and that means panic for those who ride with the FOMO.
1594  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: October 22, 2021, 08:28:57 PM
Today's life all things have to be paid for with money, from basic needs to hobbies so we must have money, every day people only think about how to meet their needs and increase their money so money is king for him, this is a phenomenon that has happened everywhere because the world currently always make a measure of value and price

This is as Robert Kiyosaki says, if you do not worry about money, money will not worry about you, many say that wealth is in other things, such as family, health and yes, but if there is no money there is no There is health, much less a happy family, I think that money will always be part of having the greatest wealth and in fact that is why we work to maintain a healthy and adequate standard of living for ourselves, our families, there are people that I have gotten and they say they don't care about money, but how do they eat? If you do not have money to eat, they do not eat, there are many concepts that people sometimes do not understand.

That's true, we have to be practical now because everything requires money, you can be happy if you have money, they say money is the root cause of all evil, well that is wrong because it's not literally money but the "greed for money" is the root cause of all evil.

We also have to put a limitation on earning money so we will not reach the point that we have to sacrifice our health just to make money. Working smart is more preferable to working hard, I think we will understand once we are already earning enough money to be financially free.
1595  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the effects of China's central bank declaring all crypto illegal? on: October 22, 2021, 04:00:14 PM
There might be a small effect with regards to crypto but it is small that it will recover afterwards.
I still remember when China announced that they will ban ICO in 2017. Instead of having a huge effect towards the downside in the market, it is the complete opposite.

China can just do anything negative with regards to crypto and we that are outside China don't care. They banned mining Bitcoin on the country but it didn't push Bitcoin downwards. They might be a strong, powerfun and an influential country but I don't think that they are that powerful enough to put down crypto. They can declare crypto as an illegal one. Those Chinese people who are a big supporter of Crypto may just live outside China and continue what they are doing. They are just saying it because they can't control Bitcoin and they don't want the people out there to own something that they themselves can't control.
Of course China would really want to control their people including all their investments. And since when it comes to crypto investments, its hard to track the owners so what they did is to impose a permanent ban on crypto so that their citizens would not hold crypto anymore as it becomes a threat to their digital yuan. But seems crypto this time is not totally affected because bitcoin continues to surge despite of the current banning from China. And it even exceeded its previous ATH without China around. I must say China will never give a huge impact to crypto anymore, and its definitely a good thing for crypto and bitcoin.
1596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 22, 2021, 11:28:27 AM

Well its not good to put a verdict towards this fight since we see great fighters lose on unexpected match up so even if Gaballo is underdog here he's still young and a knockout artist so provably he can give a good fight and problem in the camp of Donaire. But let see on this on who will win among them since its good to see if the young soul win or the proven champion will take win easily.

True it's not good to put a verdict because we don't know who will win, but if you are betting on this game, at least make sure you analyze carefully on who got the advantage so you can put your bet, that's the nature of gambling, we always claim our bet will win so we will be confident to win when watching the fight.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 22, 2021, 11:03:07 AM
Wow. Steph was on fire tonight. Putting up 45 and 10 in a 2 point win against the Clippers. Warriors not wasting any time showing the Los Angeles teams who is boss. Curry looking like a scoring champ out there already this season. I’m surprised how well they’re doing and anxious to see how they look once Klay Thompson gets himself back in the lineup.
Sad on my part as I bet on the Clippers but those deep 3's of Curry are total dope plus some contribution of Poole and Wiggins. It was a huge lead imo by the end of the first half but the Clippers definitely get a hold of it and they even got the lead by the third quarter. Curry was just unstoppable even if there's some defender at his face, looks like they'll improve this time compare to the previous season.

Do you bet on the Moneyline? if you lose as least you see that the Clippers were leading at some point in the game, they could win that game because it's very close, but if you just took the handicap, you would be celebrating after the game. Better luck next time man, the regular season just starting to heat up, more to come.
1598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hodl or change? on: October 22, 2021, 08:38:34 AM
I think change will not going to work because if you change one time then this will going to be always changing mood and when you find difficulties in your share you will look to change. Hold might takes some time but one day you will happy then never. This day your life will be completely changed. So after buying any coin hold is your key to success.
I guess it also depends on the situation. And IMO, dogecoin will no longer make it reaching its new ATH because Elon is not tweeting it anymore so more likely, its price will definitely stay in low value. And before you see yourself losing that much, well its a good time to change it into another coin that has still good potentials to grow more. Do it when you see bitcoin price is dropping as its always expected that altcoins too will possibly be dumping too.

However, if you think dogecoin is still good for long term holding, its your choice, but i'm afraid it will be a long waiting game and yet, you still lose in the end.
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk Sees Bitcoin Price Reaching $69,000 on: October 22, 2021, 07:44:09 AM
He thinks himself as smart or proclaimed genius but he's trying to become oversmart with his moves and want to regain his tweet image with all bitcoin influence again like posting these $69k images and relaxation but we don't care about clown Musk anymore because for btc growth his influence is not required and it will surely reach above $70k also soon.He is primarily promoting shitcoins and using his twitter more for this purpose rather than sharing his tesla news feed and organizing carbon competition. So now we don't need to care what he thinks.
Absolutely, but he becomes the number 1 richest person in the world? He become famous and not to wonder why many were still following him.
https://www.businessinsider.in/business/news/top-10-richest-people-in-the-world/articleshow/74415117.cms

Something like he deserves some respect but not in a way that we have to believe him either. He got his market influence but that was before, ain't happen this time as (most) of are already realized how he ruin the market and wanted to manipulate it.
We can't blame others if they still continue to support Elon especially for those are newbies in the market. Elon has just made his spot being the richest man on earth so his supporters most likely to believe his ideas hoping they can gain some advantage from it. But Elon is not like that. He will only come to the market and play the feelings of the people and if you are weak enough, you will surely fall on his trap. Let's just admit that Elon is no good for bitcoin anymore and the whole crypto market. Bitcoin will still be able to reach $69,420 even without Elon Musk around.
1600  Economy / Economics / Re: What are common arguments for Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2021, 11:05:36 PM
Of course, every investor who comes with the goal is profit, so they must also know the risks and rewards associated with volatility. after they know of course they will learn like what you have mentioned above, so they don't slip into gambling, which will only lead to disappointment in the end
Funny how the same volatility is the reason why a lot of you are making profit from the market. You do know that if there was no volatility and the market was as stable as the fiat currency, it wouldn’t draw much attention as it did and most people that got rich through this wouldn’t be that rich by now.

In the case of volatility, if you can learn to have patience, and also invest what you can be able to hold for a long term (unless you’re a day trader), then volatility wouldn’t be that much of a problem, because we know that cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin, is profitable on a long term.
I think volatility is a big factor that if newbies will invest in crypto, they might fear it knowing that it could make them gain huge profits if they are wise enough, or lose a huge amount of capital. But not knowing that volatility alone is what makes all investors in crypto particularly with bitcoin to last long in the market. Maybe volatility can be a barrier from government's adoption, but when it comes to crypto, volatility is the reason why new investors keep coming in the market.
