If it stays over 200$ we are on the latest "normal" 200-300$ area, which is actually OK. Under that value.. it may be rather chaotic and more will lose faith into Bitcoin. But I don't think that's gonna happen.
All the crying is done by traders that want to earn a few more bucks on the panicking ones.

Come on, buying bitcoin never was as easy as in the last 6 months! Selling bitcoin may be tricky in some countries / cities, but buying, really, 3 days and offering 150%?
If you'd use some payment methods that can be trusted, this would have been done from day 1.

I would ask for a change in block rewarding system - to make the block rewards difficulty dependent.
The big farms only dump coins to the market anyway, let's discourage their future growth.

What if I post my guess in "12 days from now", just before CFC ends? Maybe a time limit has to be added to remain a guessing game? just post your number and consider anything between 1 and 40BTC potentially winning number.
What if I guess more than 40 BTC, what if more than one person does a >40 guess and the CFC will indeed get more than 40 BTC? Are fractional numbers allowed (ex: 13.37 BTC)?

I would right now, if I would have an amount of Bitcoin that matters - which I don't. In my country the only good exchange FROM Bitcoin was shut down a few months ago.
I'll be honest, I didn't check what are the fees; if the fees are big indeed I would also look for alternatives. But yeah, right now I don't need all this. I have to get bitcoin first.

Payment received, all good, thank you!

Are you relatively new to monero? Viewkey and payment_ID are things unique to Monero (I think). There is no equivalent in bitcoin (because there is no need).
Maybe this is somehow off topic, still.. does viewkey actually work? Or is there some info I've missed about when is it planned to be done?

275$ This would mean that it has stabilized and can start to grow. Wishful thinking? Maybe.

The site seems up and running. However, if you think that making a rar with the client I have and sending you a link would help, PM me and I'll do that.
I am still sad about the fate of this coin..

Hi,
i would to know, what are the main importatnt alternative cryptocurrency to bitcoin??? example: litecoin, megacoin.....
- Why these kind of coin have need to exist? because bitcoin have some problem, or issue, and this type of coin are born to resolve this issue, or for another mission?
- this other coin can work with the same process of bitcoin (blockchain, private and pubblic key, process of mining??)
- the alternative cryptocurrecy can be considered a true alternative of bitcoin or these are weak to challege bitcoin??
Thanks
Hi. Your questions are very debatable and this can simply start a flame war. Best alt-coin? Hard to tell. Some are old, some have big fan base, some are anonymous. Some are bitcoin clones (with few or with big changes), some are built from scratch. Some have big advertising (cough Dark/Dash cough..), some ... need more checking to be discovered. You'll have to do your own detective work and see which altcoins deserve your attention. About problems: some claim anonymity and it's not sure that they actually provide it. Some can be mined by ASICs, some with GPU, some only CPU. Some are PoS (you only keep wallet open, no big resources for mining). Some are cheap IPO/ICO scame. Afaik have blockchain, but for some you will not see that much info like for Bitcoin (like top100 richest wallets and the amounts in them). Mining can be done with hard work (PoW), only wallet open (PoS), by providing HDD space, ... maybe some others I don't know. Some anonymous coins have a tough fight trying to be the anon alternative to bitcoin. Some just use TOR, some are college clones, some are just scam. Some are dead coins. I will just tell the altcoins I like, for various reasons: XMR, DOGE, FIBRE, XMG. I will not tell that they are best. Time will tell if my choices were any good. Good luck in your search!

Maybe we could use new banners / sigs. Maybe somebody can design better / less "eye-hurting" bit-x banner. I am paid for them and I don't complain, but others seem to start blocking signatures, and from what I see bit-x is one of the most important targets.

what is "share" in mining ?
Also "share" can be considered each "solution" your miner tries to send.

We have €448m to the International Monetary Fund is due this Thursday (April 9th).
Then we have public sector wages and pensions, €1.7b in social security payments made by the state (April 14th).
Then we have a €200m loan repayment to the IMF (May 1st).
Now correct me if I am wrong, but if Greece cant pay any of these 3 bills we are talking about the first "western modern" country to be technically in default. If they resort back to the Drachma, it will be one of the most worthless currencies on the planet.
What I cant really figure out is the outcome, both worldwide financially against the Euro, and obviously against Bitcoin. Will we see BTC as safe heaven? Something tells me only a little, because the average Greek is not highly IT literate, but I could be wrong here.
Give me your thoughts people, as this goes down in about 3 days from now!
Actually Greece will not default. Politicians will find a solution again to give Greece more money. Right now Greece plays hard, having discussions with China and Russia. This way they will either force EU to be more "merciful" with them, either will get a loan from China giving them something EU will not like.

Hello,
I was wondering if there is any way for me to create a private key using only my fingerprint and a password. Do you guys know if there is already a website to do so ?
Thanks.
It's not really an useful way to do this. Any website that offers this could scam you (anyone that knows your priv key can steal from you). A vanity gen based on fingerprint and password would have to run on a computer. And then you'll have to rely on a 3rd party app (prolly on your phone / tablet) that will read the fingerprint, then transfer that data on the computer where another program will take that data to generate the "private key". Who would use that?!

To get involved or not involved.
If you have some money and want to take a risk - which may give great rewards - get involved ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) If you have a good mind for playing on the market - also get involved.

It usually takes quite some time for bitcoin to actually get into your wallet. Is the transaction confirmed?
If you pasted your valid address, you should be fine, you may need at least 20 minutes though... Did your client pay the tx fee?
