mmonitor s5 sees, but sp20 not sees. Settings in the image below. help me. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.gyazo.com%2F374d84894bbe60647ff6ab9a27fac91a.png&t=664&c=rJg_H6jF0e_8JA) Uncheck the "Use API" box and check the "HTTPS" box in order for it to work with SP20s. Good luck!

My first impressions of the S5+
It's smaller than I thought it would be. It runs fine with 3x1300 watt psus. It isn't any louder than a group of S5s. It stays cooler than S5s running in the same conditions at lower clocks.
There's a whole discussion around how many cables per board you really need. Bitmain says 3, but if it's just a matter of cable capacity and not how the board is designed to route power, then you can probably get by with less cables as long as they're beefy enough. Did you wire your 3 1300w PSUs to handle 28 connections (3 for each of 9 boards plus one for the controller) or did you make due with less? If you wired all 28 with Y splitters from 3 PSUs you must have made klondike_bar happy... I wired each board with 2 cables, one being split to having 2 connectors. All connections are filled. I used 3 EVGA 1300 watt PSUs. I really am impressed with how cool it stays compared to regular S5s. My S5+ @ 325 frequency is sitting at 59 degrees while my S5s @ 275 frequency are sitting at 66 degrees. You can see it mining away here: https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=1NastyFRkeUTmMdbMmzggDVTQA6r3ibUoX&a=1&l=1

The only thing scary about the current price is how easily the market can be manipulated. The big wall street boys will have a field day if this market isn't secured before trading goes live. I assume that's why the Winkiis are currently onboarding institutional customers before launching their exchange and ETF.

So we are looking at a probable November release for the S7?

A move like this is most likely due to insider trading. I'm assuming someone inside bitfinex saw an opportunity to crash the market and trigger a majority of margin calls. A lot of little guys just lost everything so a whale could have a snack. I hope some lessons in margin trading were learned.

Post about XT in the altcoin section. Problem solved.

Yeah idk why you're taking such grave offense. These are facts. I myself just sold my S4+ for well above what bitmain was asking (when they still had them). It's just simple supply and demand to show that an item becomes more valuable when its in low or NO supply, which is the message you seemed to be conveying. But it just wasn't the case. They are in supply, and as such that shouldn't be a factor here.
Which of the two of us do you think sees more completed sales on these boards and as such has a better idea of the going rate of hardware here?

And i paid 38$ for shipping. I got one last week. Took 3 days to get to my door. Means the final price is 386USD + 23$~ of customs fee. To Canada. Grand total of about 400USD.
Congrats. That's cheaper than I'm selling these for.

Hello OgNasty. Any particular mods or fancy fans your S5's are mounted with to warrant 100$ over yesterday's Bitmain price on used S5?
No modifications. Mine are shipped for free from inside the US and they are in stock. I noticed Bitmain doesn't have any S5's for sale... If I haven't sold these units within a couple weeks, I'll consider lowering prices. They are cycling out there s5's for s5+'s now. They are out of S5+'s already but they have second hand s5's for 1.315 right now. They also charge $60 for shipping. If you want to order from Bitmain and have your unit shipped from China then do it. I'm not stopping you. In fact, I'll go a step further and advise everyone buy their S5s from Bitmain. Here's the link: https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020150725135246063Xsvs9J9J06AEIf you want to buy one of my units, PM me. I'm in no hurry to sell, and if they all sold before I receive my S5+ I would actually be sad.

Funny. What does the QR code link to?
I do find it fascinating that you're more likely to be immortalized with unique products around here by pulling scams than creating useful services.

I don't even know what the hell Bitcoin XT is? Probably a new Bitcoin? Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm lost in space ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Its an altcoin... and who are all of these people switching?? technically it's only the future upgrade of bitcoin core, not really an altcoin i think people want to try it out, while supporting the idea of a bigger tx limit to allo more transaction per seconds, which is needed and inevitable i can't understand relly the concern about it, while chinese miners have their concern that may be seen as a good concern, normal users should not be against it ever, because they have no reason at all, besides being an hater for the lulz I've taken to calling it a "hijack-coin" and people should be very careful supporting it. Those with large amounts of BTC will try to make it seem like BitcoinXT has a future, just so they can dump all their soon to be worthless hijack-coins to less knowledgeable users. No developer is bigger than Bitcoin, and this attempt at inflating egos to epic proportions is going to fail and going to hurt a lot of less knowledgeable people financially. Best case scenario, it fails horribly and everyone can be forced to act like adults and reach consensus without attempting back alley deals to hijack the network rules. Worst case scenario, people are talked into supporting this for the good of Bitcoin. It is then proven that all the hard rules we have come to base our decisions on can be changed at the whim of a few through improper channels, thus killing the vision that many of us had for the future of finance. I can't say I know everything about this debate, but the seemingly missing piece to me is what incentives are being dangled in front of core developers to get them to act so immaturely and out of character. The methods being used go beyond what I would expect from a disagreement of ideas on an open source project.

Not what has been reported so far, but my first tests show that reducing the Supply Voltage to an S5 does work.....
Have just taken delivery of a 2nd hand S5 and after some quick initial checks that everything was ok had a quick go at dropping the volts.
First, very early impression, is that things work as expected...
Tested at 125MHz with 9.0V at the connectors.
(Not wanting to tell people how to suck eggs, but perhaps those that are bragging about how much current they can push through a Molex connector, you need to measure the voltage that is actually getting to the board)
Only measured over a 30 Minute period the Hash was 440GH/s (a bit lower than expected, should be 470GH/s . Over the short time the rate was fluctuating quite a lot and needs further investigation)
Current from the supply (not the wall) was 12.1 Amps so 109 Watts
So that gives 109/440 = J/GH 0.248 Smiley
No xxx, HW error a bit higher than I would like to see @ 0.05%
Boots up and starts hashing at 9V, although to be fair it's 10V with no load because of the rubbish leads I am using on the adjustable PSU.
So a lot more tests to run but a better than expected start. Is it my S5, am I lucky, am I doing something wrong? Time and more measurements will tell.
Rich
How did you go about reducing the voltage?
