15882  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 11, 2015, 03:53:42 PM
I just had a quick talk with Marco on irc.

Next week's rates will be lowered, that's why you see smaller rates.
As soon as your got your payment, you'll see the new, lowered rate.
It's not a bug.
He will explain everything in a few hours.
can someonetake his whole message and post it here on the thread?

I removed the few lines not related to the lowered rate and.. here we are:

marcotheminer: I've changed rates.
marcotheminer: I'll make an announcement soon.
marcotheminer: Rates change when you're paid.
marcotheminer: Can you try to explain
marcotheminer: That I've lowered the rate.
marcotheminer: I'll explain in a few hours
marcotheminer: See you

my rate is lower now 0.0013 instead of 0.0016, why?

Same problem here. MZ is trying to talk to Marco.
yet another guy who has problem with the lowered rate: 0.0011BTC instead of 0.0014BTC

Payment received (thanks), but the amount is wrong: the rate for payment seems OK, but some of my last posts were neither counted, neither kept for next week.

And the rate for next week is 0.0011 instead of 0.0014
15885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Look at where I am planning to go with BTC :) on: March 11, 2015, 01:03:02 PM
So you are going to Turkey. You use a bulgarian group buy / offers website and a bulgarian travel agency.
The offers website accepts bitcoin. But does the tour operator accept bitcoin? I didn't find that info.
And the flight to Bulgaria will be also paid with Bitcoin, or you actually live in Bulgaria?

15886  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Where to advertise for big BTC auditory? on: March 11, 2015, 12:32:46 PM
First place that came into my mind was reddit. Maybe you can ask to show your ad on certain subreddits. There bitcoin related subs and also altcoin subs may be interested in bitcoin.

Another place - you know it already, because you are here: bitcointalk.org
15887  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greece threatens to release jihadis into EU!!! on: March 11, 2015, 12:13:25 PM
It's simple and pure rhetoric. People from Greece can already travel free inside Europe.
If Greece doesn't fix it problems, some of the people will go from there anywhere they can get a better living. And that will happen with or without more money from EU.

And the jihadis.. they can be recruited same easily all across Europe, I don't think that Greece can have really more than other countries. And they have to be trained somewhere, and I doubt that can happen in Greece.

Probably he referred immigrants outside of the EU and "authentic" jihadists from Syria and Iraq.

If they don't respect the EU borders protocol, then they will indeed have a big chance to get the well deserved (and wanted?) kick out from EU.
15888  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1BTC - Bitcoin Treasure Hunt - Can you crack the code? on: March 11, 2015, 12:08:41 PM
It was a beautiful treasure hunt, however, at some point the clues became odd (at least I stopped finding a direction ) and.. it ended rater abruptly and strange.

Nice game everybody; thank you Steveturk, thank you NaSCasino.
And congrats to the winner (whoever will that actually be).

FYI: The bot account is Jr. Member. It have low time limit, so it will take sometime to get your payment amd message. Please be patient!

I think Marco needs to make some post and level up the account but not before the expiration if ban.

Aha, this makes sense. Thanks for the update.

As all said, it's not worth it. I mined there one year ago for about a month for ~2300 satoshi, which is too small to be withdrawn.

However, nobody answered your question.

1. go to https://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/profile/workers/ and create a worker. For example: yourWk
2. go to https://mining.bitcoin.cz/user-manual/getting_started and look how the command line should look like.

You should have:
host: stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz
port: 3333
worker name: yourUser.yourWk

The password is not the account password, it's the worker password. If you didn't have to create password for worker, you will put anything you want here, for example: x

I write this because it may help you on other pools / other mining programs / other coins.

babes

In case you want to see, er, "more" of the girl from the Kingdom Come video....

https://twitter.com/playmateeugenia

XMR DEVS SHOULD BE WORKING INSTEAD OF WATCHING MUSIC VIDEOS

IS IT TRUE?

It's very far from true.
A good developer has to relax from time to time. The brain still works, even when you watch a movie or go out for a beer (if you don't get to 5-10 beers, obviously Cheesy).
And when you get back you may see the solution that was slipping away for hours.

Its been 7days since I registered but still haven't got the payment. How much time does it take?

Same here. I start to get worried that something is wrong...
15894  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 11, 2015, 08:43:12 AM

Is it possible that EUR might drop below USD in 2015? Syriza & ECB QE program
pushing price even lower against USD or do you think euro is at it's bottom right now
and is going to rise soon?
Discussion.

I wish I would have believed this one month ago...
Now it's getting late...
15895  Economy / Services / Re: Need someone to make constructive posts on my accounts on: March 11, 2015, 08:41:19 AM
I don't know why would somebody do that for 0.6 BTC when - with proper rank (and this many accounts)  - could easily get 3-4BTC in the same amount of time.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/harvard-student-uses-14000-core-supercomputer-mine-dogecoin/

That is the story I remembered.  A 14,000 core supercomputer, but it was only about as good as 13 good GPUs.  I think that is a good representation of how bad CPUs are at mining Bitcoin/Litecoin/Dogecoin.

If you insist, here is a copy of the story.
http://www.cio.com/article/2375474/security0/hacked-synology-nas-systems-used-in-high-profit-cryptocurrency-mining-operation.html
I consider $600k quite an amount of money. And it was on CPU!
15897  Economy / Speculation / Re: I predict I will never make any money... on: March 10, 2015, 02:14:30 PM
Heh, it's just Member, no escrow... what did you expect?
Even if you give him a negative feedback, a brand new account is much much cheaper than 1 BTC.

Instead, you are L e g e n d a r y. Quite a lot to lose.

Very unfair bet actually for your side.
15898  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Please, I need help to start mining on: March 10, 2015, 01:19:55 PM
I don't believe you will get any payment using cpu/gpu to mine even if you mine on a pool. The difficulty already too high.

Depending on the pool, he might see for each block a very few satoshi coming into his pool account.
But yeah, no chance to actually withdraw.
15899  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Please, I need help to start mining on: March 10, 2015, 12:56:52 PM
Just fyi: what you try to do is some sort of solo mining. With a normal computer.. you have 1000000 times better chance to win the lottery than to mine a block.
One of the reasons bfgminer asks for user/password is because it expects you to mine in a pool.

The easiest way to try out mining is (I tried that more than 1 year ago) :
* install guiMiner (and the required drivers for GPU mining)
* create account on a pool (slush pool?) and mine there.

I mined for less than a month and a faucet gives more than what I've got back then. I was never able to actually withdraw.
You'll need a specialized miner to actually do something.

If you really want to try out solo mining (or if you really want to make a local pool) you should try some bitcoin clone altcoin with low difficulty.
