This is getting spookier by the minute.

Raping other species... hmm... Dogs do it. Monkeys do it. Even humans do it. Why not seals? Maybe it's a sign of intelligence.  Undecided

Quote
Charles Manson, the mass murderer, is planning to marry a 26-year-old woman who left her home halfway across America and spent the past nine years trying to help exonerate him.

Afton Elaine Burton, the raven-haired bride-to-be, said she loved the man convicted in the notorious murders of seven people, including pregnant actress Sharon Tate.

Everything sounds so catchy in Factom. Factom chains, Factom layers, Factom blocks... now the tokens are called Factoids? Tongue

Just a little branding verbiage is all. I've employed the same, coining about a dozen terms on my nascent crypto-commodity brand.

Personally, I would have gone with Factoim(s) or Factoom(s) instead of a utilizing a word already in the mainstream.
15967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Used Bitcoin To Feed The Homeless on: November 18, 2014, 03:03:12 AM
I'd like to see a "How I used Bitcoin to Eat the Rich" thread.

We need more charity in BTC, all crypto charity is done by doge community.
We absolutely do not need more charity. Charity is unethical. What the world needs now more than ever is solidarity among the working-poor, underemployed, and unemployed castes.

Charities are not unethical on their own. Go tell the homeless from Sean's Outpost that they should starve to death while waiting for the solidarity/social justice/whatever.

With maybe the exception of Jason King, I'm the only one on this forum that has physically slept on the ground there at Satoshi Forest, the first day last year being Thanksgiving Eve when the temp was in the upper 20' and with a windchill in the high teens. I brought plenty of blankets with me, and when I left to head to Vegas, I left them all there in the shed for the homeless who needed them.

Looks like we're able to fund another 28 more charities at $1K USD via BTC a poop: https://blockchain.info/address/1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac

Hi Everyone, I thought this would be the right category to post in, however if a mod sees fit that this should go else ware, I understand.

Saturday night I wanted to use my bitcoin debit card for the first time to do something unique and show all the people out there who seem to believe that bitcoin is only for criminals or can not be used like paper money, that they are wrong.

http://youtu.be/iwJ9BJtC18M

Okay, me like! I have ~$10 USD here: https://blockchain.info/address/1zS6bFrAjLw6QY6rDmPFBHZUJoVGoNDvv

It was donated to me under false pretense (think user account Nibbknot), and I don't believe that the kind Bitcoiner who gave it to me would mind if I passed it on to you.

Please post an address so that I can transfer it to you. If for some reason you feel uncomfortable posting such, then PM me. Don't worry if the address you submit doesn't coincide with your donating card or whatever, for I (we, if others follow suit) won't question your integrity.

Nice job, bud.

~Bruno Kucinskas

EDIT: WFT! Did I just endorse some newbie dude?  Roll Eyes Amazing how TRUE integrity can come across via a YouTube video, hence the endorsement.
15970  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to bump a thread by deleting and re-posting the last post ? on: November 18, 2014, 02:28:57 AM
If it is not allowed, then how to report it ? Will mods be able to find out that it was previously posted ?

I may have done such about six times since I've been here, but never for nefarious intent.
15971  Other / Meta / Re: How to discuss hardware manufacturers was Re: BFL fucked us over again on: November 18, 2014, 02:26:38 AM
Where do you recommend I could start a BFL thread for posting the latest updates on their case (no trolling)?
If it's not a scam accusation discussion, and just to discuss the FTC case against them, service discussion seems most appropriate with the added bonus that it would allow you to create a self moderated thread.
Okay, I will go about combing these ASKFTC tags and neutering some "personality" from certain posts.

Damn, bud, you now have your hands full.

Shouldn't the discussion about moderation be in some "meta" trhead?  Wink
Indeed it should, but we didn't want to lose the flow of the discussion. Will Clean up, hang in there.

Thanks, ckolivas.

While I have questioned the forums rules in the past I have come to the conclusion that the mods/admins have acted in a proper manner whether you like it or not. Try to look at everything from another angle than yours.
Try posting a link to Theymos' dox located at blockchain.info and see how quickly your opinion changes.

Why would they unless he was a moyal.
Do you know if he is a moyal??

Circumcise much?

I am not sure if he is a moyal do you know if he still has both of his legs?

What is moyal, and why is it so overrated?

Shouldn't it come with a bracket?

Is it March Madness already?

Are you implying that only in the month of march I can be my true self?

Why am I at a lost for words to reply accordingly?

Serious question: Why is it only allowed in Scam Accusations?

Will that change if they are ripped to bits by the FTC?

-------------------------

Also why the change of attitude towards BFL specifically?
They were a visible train wreck long in advance of this new restriction. Alot of people (including BFL) had continued to open threads advertising their wares even when it was obvious they had trouble delivering within expectations.

So I guess my question is why the change in attitude after this train wreck has already begun to rust from all the rain?

What is gained by limiting it now after all the spilled milk has left the container?
Why can't we at least apply for self moderated threads in this section pertaining to BFL? (Within controlled reason)
The BFL fucked us over again thread never belonged here in hardware, but it was left here so long prior to anyone deciding where it should really go that it would be unfair to move it away now since people come looking for this thread here. It should have always appeared in the scam accusations area.

I don't know what change of attitude you're talking about. I've applied the rules for as long as I've been moderator (i.e. long after this thread started). The main problem with BFL threads is there are far too many of them so I've tried to prevent dozens of threads appearing at regular intervals and it just so happened that people decided to gravitate towards this one which happens to not be self moderated. The original poster for this thread hasn't even been on the forum since May so it may well be this thread just has an uncontrolled life of its own.

I have no qualms with the way you've conducted yourself, ckolivas, with apologies to those echoing otherwise.

^tl;dr: put ad in signature and scrape faucets to earn 0.1 cents an hour

That's $.024 a day, equating to $8.76 a year. Use that money to purchase new alts, selling at their bubble point, and looks like we have ourselves a winner.
