161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you guys think?? on: March 05, 2018, 05:58:52 AM
Predicting does not actually change anything and I don't think it helps either. Though some noobs see this as an encouragement.  This may be in a positive way or the other way around since it may lead anyone to fortune or loses.

I think we should just wait. If developments rise, then surely there will be growth. But if you spread FUDs about sudden fall then it will cause a bigger dip.
162  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How do I avoid tax on crypto on: March 04, 2018, 11:55:17 PM
If I make money on crypto currencies. How do I avoid as much tax as possible?

Simple
1. Move to a country that has 0 taxes or lower taxes on gains made from crypto trading.
2. Sell your coins for cash directly in person, then stash the bills under the mattress.
3. Hire a pretty good lawyer specialized in this....

Depending on which country you live in you might get away with the second option...or end up in jail.

It would also be nice if you would tell us where you're from...
Since it's one thing if you live in the US or Moldova.

I would have given you merit if I have some left. Smiley

The idea is very much precise.

I do agree that is will be depending on the country you are staying and if it will be upholding the taxes for bitcoins. Government will find ways to deduct fees and taxes through technology too. Like for an instance, here in our country, wallets are deducting fees in transacting through remittances.

Upfront transactions, or user to user is quite helpful too.
No fees and you can sell them freely.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crash Incoming on: March 04, 2018, 11:41:24 PM
FUD starts again. If it shakes your ass that much then go disappear mate. No one is forcing you to stay but never drag anyone else with you by scaring them too. Convincing them would let you be responsible for their own loses.
They have their own choices in handling their investments and money.
If you can't watch a simple volatile market, then you can leave or you just may have a heart attack.
Just go get a job.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When I am able to see profit this year? on: March 04, 2018, 11:24:49 PM
In my own opinion, as investors, we should not solely depend on the profits that bitcoin volatility will give. We should be resourceful and creative in our own ways. Though it's wise to invest in cryptocurrencies, we should always have other incomes. It is not recommended to give it all in here instead try to diversify your money not just in investments but in safe places. With this, you won't be worried much.
Try small businesses, it will keep your thoughts away from worrying much. Coins grow with time and you just have to let them.
165  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will people pay taxes for bitcoin ? on: March 04, 2018, 11:11:40 PM
People don't want to lay taxes and that is the main reason of using cryptocurrecncies in the first place- less to no fees, fast transactions and other features that would lift the burden related to transactions.
Yet if the government will put tax in bitcoins, then some features will be pointless.
I think for now, it is still hard for the government to tax bitcoins, but in some countries, government provides a wallet that is convenient to use in different services but upholds taxes.
166  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 7 People arrested for Bitcoin Trading on: March 03, 2018, 05:00:22 PM
As long as it is banned in a country, we cannot do much about it.
Though it's not fair for users to be jailed without being involve in cases such as laundering and fraud. But if at some point they are, they should really be jailed.

The thing is, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are NOT the problem. Instead it's the illegal activities that uses bitcoins that should be stopped. Virtual currencies are just currencies, commodities and the fact that it is created for our own good and not for increasing the rate of crime.
I just hope the government see it that way too.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: March 03, 2018, 04:38:58 PM
Not surprisingly true. Most of the wealthiest persons are greedy ( not all but most ). They would want to keep it to themselves by forcing their sons or daughters to continue what they have started. Wealth is just being passed and not really distributed.
In my own perspective, I think that once an individual, poor or an average one could reach success as long as they work hard for it. Wealth will take place from time to time.
Though its a bit unfair for hardworkers that exerts more effort to achieve something in life, I think when they are on the top of their game, they will be stronger than the ones who started at the top already.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin gambling on: March 03, 2018, 03:33:09 PM
Gambling is never safe. Either you use fiat or bitcoins in doing so.
Gambling is betting and it means RISKING YOUR MONEY. I think that would be enough to support that it's not safe at all.
Though there are times that a person gets lucky in winning, everything is still in the whole concept of agreeing to let a game put your possession in danger and maybe lost forever.
169  Other / Meta / Re: Ranking System on: March 03, 2018, 10:37:09 AM
I think you are a self-centered piece of NUT pretending that you actually care about others. It's pretty clear that you are begging to rank up for higher rates which I think won't happen until you accept the essence of the new system.
If you can't give a good conversation and information that would actually benefit the forum, why would you expect something from it ? I think with you complaining, you don't even deserve what you are gaining today as a member.
Help the forum, then I guess it is reasonable for you to gain more. If that is your only goal.
170  Economy / Speculation / Re: When You Think Market Boom Again? on: March 03, 2018, 10:28:16 AM
It's a bit unfair for bitcoin being questioned and pressured about the next boom.
As we all know, bitcoin shoot up fastly and drastically fall afterwards in a short period of time. By now we should have known that is unhealthy for something to grow fast. Instead wait for it to grow with proper support.
Focus on the development which in my opinion is very open this year for bitcoin. With this, we should not worry too much about the prices. And use bitcoin more for it to become mainstream.
171  Other / Meta / Re: Earning merits/smerit on: March 02, 2018, 10:42:30 PM
Well, I think those users who are always arguing about the merit system are the ones who are not competent enough to try give quality to this forum. Or they don't really care about the forum. They are only concerned about earning and they find it hard to earn a bit higher rates in this forum.
Though I am also having a hard time on the merit system, I am loving it at the moment. As a concerned user of this forum, the system runs smoothly and mods already caught lots of farm and alts.
It extends the forums life.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your Bitcoin "Normal" price??? on: March 01, 2018, 12:23:34 PM
The fact that bitcoin is volatile, it's hard to tell wether its current price is Normal or not.
It may be stagnant in $10k or above in a few weeks or months but the idea you have said that having a mark on its price is a wise move to record possible losses and gains.
Below $12k is a good mark but since it's below your own normal value, trying buying below the current price.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do You Have Any Fear Bitcoin Might Crash Someday. on: March 01, 2018, 12:10:05 PM
Of course. The fact that it's not yet mainstream gets me thinking about it. If we don't have enough support from companies, it would probably go down and the only thing that would keep the prices steady are the individual users and some lost coins.

But Bitcoin as the medium of cryptocurrencies, I doubt that it can happen in a blink of an eye. And with the countries trying to step in it would be impossible for bitcoin to drop hard.
174  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would be the signs a big dip is coming on: March 01, 2018, 11:36:32 AM
I am not of an expert too but in my own experience as a short time trader, if there is a big oumo and reach a maximum point, there will probably be a dump.
Maybe for a reason of some gets really worried and just want to get all the profits out before anything happens and when there are a lot of people selling, then many would panic sell.
These kind of things always happen and everyone could notice it to happen. A single FUD could bring the price down in a single blow you know.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC PUSHES PAST $ 10K on: March 01, 2018, 06:54:30 AM
It already sunk below below $7k dollars and now it already bounced back to $10k. Prices are very volatile and no one can expect a continuous rise or fall in a moment.
I am hmjst guessing that if there are more factual news about development then it can actually go higher than today's price.
But if there are false news and FUDs, it will trigger panic selling more.
176  Other / Meta / Re: what benefits can I get if giving s merit to others? on: March 01, 2018, 06:34:32 AM
Nothing.
But if you would think about it, it's like you have said that " why read about others comments and opinions in a thread that you have your own answer already ? "

Giving merit is like giving credits to those who have given you new information and somehow gave you another clarification about something.
You benifited from their answer and giving merit is a way of giving credits ? Why would you ask for more that ? Knowledge is more than enough especially in forums like this.

Also, giving merits makes a valuable contribution in the forum. Making it visible that everyone can actually help in gaining information.
177  Other / Meta / Re: A good way to obtain merit points on: February 28, 2018, 11:09:19 PM
You guys are thinking way too much about the merit points. It's not how it works.
It's either you stick to local boards or practice English language.
If you get that right then maybe you don't have to worry about being constructive.
As long as it's understandable, the only thing you should think about is how would it have any sense.

If you are bothered about not earning more, then you should improve yourself and not just your post by doing long ones. Long posts doesn't mean it's good.

even if you make a good post, which aims to build
but others do not like your post, then you will not get merit. can you give me one example? posts like what you think deserve merit.

Even though I can give such an example that would answer your need of proof, still it will be up to the higher ranks or merit sources if they will be considering it as a constructive one.
Some may give merits or not according to what they have learned from your post or if they happen to think that it's a contribution to the forum.

The problem is, people are looking for a criteria for the constructiveness of a post which is not really needed.
People have different opinions. It's up to them if they will give you merits or not.

179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you investing in Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2018, 09:27:45 PM
Well, I invest half of my day to bitcoins simply because this technology caught my sincere interest.
When a person had experience scam before, it's hard for that person to trust a technology like this. They would think that it's easier to lose your money since everything is decentralised and not tangible at all.
Yet tried to believe in it.

Well, as you have said, some are here for monetary reason. You can't blame them. The essence of this technology is financial freedom, of course they will be concern of fees, taxes, practicality and sometimes how to raise a few bucks in a while.

You just have to encourage them to not focus on a single feature of bitcoins of any other coins.
It's flexible and broad. Don't decline it's use but spread more facts about it.
