161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: July 20, 2018, 04:37:29 PM
If you want the price to be stable then it's better to have more fiat trading pair as that way the movement of bitcoin won't affect alt that much. Right now most of the alts are trading again bitcoin so they need fiat pair to be independent. A lot of crypto can replace bitcoin as a digital currency as bitcoin tech is quite behind, nano is better as a digital currency but bitcoin is more a store of value nowdays.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypro will make people smarter? on: July 20, 2018, 04:27:33 PM
People need to learn if they want to survive in crypto so it can drive people to learn more about economic and investing, but that doesn't mean that all people want to learn. Even learning something like supply and demand can help understanding why the price move that way, marketcap will help them understand how far a token can go up in price. It will make people smarter but most of them have to go through some losses first.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency? on: July 18, 2018, 03:42:37 PM
Of course it's possible for them to get into crypto because they only need money to get started with. The thing is even right now there's a lot of people that are uneducated about investing and economic in general that already put a lot of money in crypto and most of them will lose a lot of money because they don't know what they are doing. It's not hard to join crypto but it's hard to understand how it works and how to make money from it.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop !! is it worth it ! on: July 18, 2018, 03:24:46 PM
It is not worth doing at all because right now it's very hard to get token which has value from airdrop and if the price is cheap then it's probably won't be enough to cover the expensive gas fee right now. I used to join airdrop but after a month of filling forms I only get a little money and after that I never join airdrop again because it's better to use the time to do something else.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: July 15, 2018, 01:11:36 PM
Hi,

I lost some coins this year (my own fault in Phising)
But if you send your coins to multiple wallets you can split your investments better.

When your wallet is hacked you only lose this wallet.
This is my lesson for the next time  Smiley (and some other securities)

What do you do to secure your coins / tokens?

I think it's definitely better to just buy hardware wallet to avoid the chore of having a lot of wallets. Or you can be more careful in the future with what you click and open on the internet and your security will increase a lot. Most of the hacking problem is the user fault because they open phising site etc and if they are careful it can be avoided altogether.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia SCAM on: July 15, 2018, 07:43:14 AM
I used cryptopia for a long time and never have a problem with them beside the ridiculous withdrawal fee, maybe you send to the wrong wallet address or your transaction still not confirmed because of the congested network? it's definitely better to provide some proof of your claim so people will believe in you more and be more careful with cryptopia in the future.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important is a community behind a crypto project? on: July 15, 2018, 07:26:24 AM
It's very important because the community is the one that make the project remains relevant if they haven't released anything. If there's no community behind the project then you can expect the project to die slowly as there's no one that will spread the words about the project. A strong and healthy community will help convincing people to get into the project.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: July 13, 2018, 03:49:02 PM
It is because of the current market condition plus the abundance of icos that make people think that the price is always lower at the exchange, if you follow crypto last year when there's only five icos going on the same time you won't see any of them have bad price at exchange because the demand is high, now the supply of ico is way higher so there's not enough demand to keep the price.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to put the tokens on the exchange? on: July 11, 2018, 04:24:44 PM
Guys is it safe to just put the purchased tokens on the exchange? cause i dont have a wallet in my android app. is it possible that it will be stolen? and claimed to be hacked? Am i doing the right way? Please can anyone help me. Thanks in advance.
Of course it can be hacked, it's not the only way to lose your token if you store it on exchange, there's news of exchange suspend the user account and if your account get suspended then you will lose your money. There's a lot of cases where exchange got hacked nowdays so it's not recommended to store a lot of money there, just buy a hardware wallet and you are safe.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding EOS? on: July 09, 2018, 02:15:01 PM
Quite ironic that I bought eos about four months ago and I thought It was going to be something good. When the price pumped I immediately sold it because I don't like the hype regarding the project at that point. Turns out it's a good decision as the launch is basically very bad. Eos is a great coin potential wise but the execution is bad so right now I am searching for another coin that has better or similar potential.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EtherDelta! It's not safe anymore !? on: July 09, 2018, 02:09:24 PM
There's a lot of better dex than etherdelta so you should use other exchange. I stopped using etherdelta once it stopped working last year when the ethereum network is congested. After that there's forkdelta which is basically etherdelta with more responsive ui but right now I don't use it anymore. I prefer cryptobridge or idex for dex, idex especially is good for erc 20 token.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about Crypto currency future on: July 08, 2018, 02:38:51 PM
What do you thing, where crypto currency is going? Do you think this is end of crypto?
It's not the end of crypto and crypto will be here for a long time, there's always a lot of resistance to new tech especially something like blockchain that can change a lot of things so that's why it need a long time until government accept blockchain, some of them already make regulation while the others still thinking about it. Don't be afraid with one crash, dot com bubble also popped back then and it's a similar situation with crypto.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is ICO period long? on: July 08, 2018, 02:16:30 PM
They want to collect as much as they can to fund the project in long term so that's why the period is long but they are wrong about that, If they do the marketing right and advertise their project to the right audience then they don't need a long time to reach their hardcap. I know some projects that reach the hardcap in less than 1 week, they advertise their project right and they only collect enough money, not greedy like most projects do.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: my ether wallet pvt key just hacked on: July 06, 2018, 04:16:17 PM
last night some hacked my pvt key and steal all my eth and major eth tokens

can I secure my eth address or its now in control of hacker ?  Huh
You probably entered the private key into phising site so the hacker got your private key, right now the best decision is to abandon the wallet and make a new eth wallet, don't forget to bookmark the real site and use the bookmark link whenever you access mew. Also please make sure you are in the right site before opening your wallet, if you care more about your security then that kind of thing won't happen again.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are your plan for altcoin on: July 06, 2018, 03:07:45 PM
I still hold my altcoin and i plan to my all coin holding for longer time  beacuse  altcoin  give  a bright future  alt coin low now so i plan buy the coins.
I already have several coins that I planned to hold at least until next year, I don't buy recent coins because none is interesting in my opinion and the market situation is a bit unstable so I don't want to enter the market at this moment. Don't forget to follow the news about the project so you don't miss anything major, there's a lot of people that lose money because they simply ignored the project.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what exactly are we waiting for? on: July 05, 2018, 02:45:06 PM
Great question for all you cryptocurrency believers. What is going to drive the price of bitcoin up and all the altcoins? What exactly are we waiting for? Money doesnt just come out of thin air. What exactly is the catalyst? Again the question is, what exactly are we waiting for?
We are waiting for more demand to come into crypto market, the last bull run was driven by huge demand because people got fomoed into buying crypto by media and a lot of news source. Once the crash came in the supply is way higher than demand so the price was going down, I think right now we are getting closer to the break even point and we are going to go up from there.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shall i convert my bitcoins to ethereum? on: July 03, 2018, 02:33:40 PM
i was thinking to sell my bitcoins and buy ethereum what do you thinkl guys
If you are thinking that ethereum will perform better than bitcoin then why not? I have bitcoin and ethereum in my portofolio but I have more ethereum compared to bitcoin because i believe the potential of ethereum is way bigger than bitcoin. It's never a wrong move to leave some of your bitcoin and buy ethereum with the rest because you don't know if bitcoin start to go up again.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will every crypto coin survive? on: July 02, 2018, 02:56:26 PM
Of course not, I think more than 80% of crypto will die because they don't deliver what they promised. If you see coinmarketcap back then in 2015 or 2016, you'll see a lot of top 100 at that time already not relevant right now so you need to choose carefully on what you want to invest. You have to choose a great project that can deliver their roadmap so they will survive for a long time.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After ICO What do you do with your coin - HODL or Sell? on: June 30, 2018, 05:10:30 PM
You invest in ico because you believe the project will be great so holding the coin for a few years is the right thing to do, but because of the last bullrun people always want to flip so selling your coin after ico became the norm. Right now in bear market you can't do it anymore because most of the coin/token price will take a beating on exchange so you should hold.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Well, I just got scammed on: June 30, 2018, 04:45:23 PM
Well it sucks getting scammed but it will be a good lesson for the future, how did you get the wrong telegram link? You should've open the official website and get the telegram link from there, also you should've join the telegram several days before the ico start so you can see the activity of the group, the official group will have more discussion about the project and ico itself.
