161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sold my Bitcoin today on: October 15, 2017, 05:32:47 PM
I sold my bitcoin today. I think the price jumped too much too fast. My opinion is that it will drop below 5,000 soon and in that case I will buy back again because i expect bitcoin to increase significantly in the long term.
What do you think??

I also think that Bitcoin will eventually fall down because of the upcoming hardforks. The more nearer we get to the scheduled date of the hardfork, the more possibility of a Bitcoin crash. This is very common and the recent evidence is the hardfork last August 1st. A week before the hardfork, Bitcoin crashed so it is very probable that it will happen again.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: DON'T DO PANIC SELLING !!! on: October 11, 2017, 05:29:08 PM
Hey everyone Smiley

finally the price of bitcoins is increasing and was becoming more stable but ! Its price is again decreasing now... You know it will be very nice if you guys instead of dumping them hold on to them...
Dumping the bitcoins in panic because of the fear of the price never reaching this high value in future.. does affects the price of bitcoins in a very bad way!
Yes some people get profit form it but!!!it decrease your future chances of earning even more higher profit... And so does for everyone else...

It has been always an advice to other not to panic sell. However, some people just won't listen. Many are weak about seeing Bitcoin go down so they tend to panic sell in order to lessen the casualty. The whales might get some moves also. Dumping some of their coins so that the price will decrease and then panic selling comes after. This is an incurable disease for cryptocurrency community.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Going Above 6k Soon!!!!! on: October 11, 2017, 05:25:17 PM
Trust me it is going above 6k soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

That depends on your definition of soon. If by soon you mean next year then I absolutely agree but if your definition of soon is before this year ends, then I have to disagree. Bitcoin has some events to happen that might shake the market. The upcoming hardforks, the tendency of panic selling, whale dumping. This will be a bumpy year for Bitcoin especially these following months. Next year, I am absolutely certain that Bitcoin will reach 6000 USD and will even surpass that value.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Would using Bitcoin currently increase or decrease its value? on: October 11, 2017, 05:20:27 PM
I'm new to the Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency world, and the economics are pretty interesting.. My question is more of a large-scale economics question.

Would using Bitcoins, to purchase goods (not on this forum) or services, increase its perceived value due to wider exposure or level-out/decrease its perceived value by establishing an accepted value of it?

I hope that was clear enough. Just looking for ideas and thoughts.

If the usage itself is the basis, using Bitcoin in a peer-to-peer transaction won't affect the price since you did not sold nor buy Bitcoins. However, if we are to talk about the impact for the awareness, it could contribute to Bitcoin's demand. If a merchant declares that he is accepting Bitcoin as payment, some people might get aware what Bitcoin is. From the contribution for the increase in demand, the price will follow.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just going to $100,000 now? on: October 10, 2017, 06:00:35 PM
Ok last night I suddenly felt that BTC's road to $100k is imminent

Sounds crazy? Yes maybe, but it really is not

BTC at $100k is the right value

And we r going to see it go there now.   Shocked

You'll see my friends

I cannot feel it. I mean, come on, there has been a strong resistance to the 5000 USD and now we will go to 100k USD? That's preposterous. I know being optimistic about Bitcoin is a good thing, however we must go to the reality sometimes. I would take a lot of years before we go there. I admit, I want to see Bitcoin at that level. But that quick? A fairy tale.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcons are just empty numbers on the internet without any value or legal power on: October 10, 2017, 04:43:37 PM
So basically, people are paying huge amounts of money to get some empty numbers which are then recorded in a public ledger on the internet. If nobody wants to accept these numbers in exchange for dollars, goods or services, they are as useless as a random number that I write on a piece of paper.

This is also applicable for Fiat. IF no one wants to accept dollar, for instance, then dollar is worthless. Fiat gained value then because it is backed with gold, and now no currency is being backed by a precious stone or whatsoever anymore. Fiat just have a value because the majority agreed that it has a value. This goes for Bitcoin too. Bitcoin has a value because the people agreed it has a value. So if Bitcoin, as you say, is just some empty numbers, then fiat is also a bunch of empty worthless numbers.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin on: October 10, 2017, 03:47:41 PM
Hi, I am thinking about investing in Bitcoin and Litecoin and would appreciate some opinions.

Go on ahead and invest some of your hard cash to Bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency you think is worth a shot. Bitcoin is enough for me but having diverse assets is also a wise decision. Cryptocurrency gives promising profit lately and do not let yourself left out. Just take note that you should invest money that you can afford to lose. Risks are always present in this type of matters.
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Prices Reach $5,000 Again Without China? on: October 09, 2017, 07:36:12 PM
Can Bitcoin Prices Reach $5,000 Again Without China?  Roll Eyes Huh

The fact that Bitcoin recovered without China is a big indicator that Bitcoin will definitely reach the 5,000 dollar mark even without the help of China. This should be an obvious scenario since Bitcoin is not for Chinese only, or to some other powerful country. Bitcoin is a global thing so China is not a loss in Bitcoin. There could be another country that can fill what China wasted, like Japan for instance.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Idea: How to increase bitcoin demand on: October 09, 2017, 06:27:40 PM

Contact e-commerce websites like Amazon, and request that you want to pay with Bitcoin, Ether or any other coin you like.

It can be done by using site's feedback or contact us forms.

This way we can create demand because good e-commerce sites care about their users. And they know that the more payment methods you have the higher the conversion rate (the % of people who buy something) because some users can use only 1 method of payment. For example, some americans can only pay with Paypal while some venezuelans can only pay with Bitcoin, etc. So, if the site supports more payment methods it will convert more orders on average.

To increase the demand for implementing cryptocurrency payments in e-commerce sites we just have to request that using the contact us or feedback forms. The more people give feedback to their favorite online retailers the more people will start using bitcoin as payment method (now that we have segwit).

The more people do this the more demand for Bitcoin there will be.

Thanks to those who do that.

This is a good way to increase the demand for Bitcoin but this is too specific. The main though here is to spread awareness and acceptance but it is not limited to Amazon or any other online shop. Though this is a step, but let us not limit ourselves here. We could use social media to spread the words of Satoshi (already happening), Media exposure (already happening), personal talking to people about Bitcoin (only few people are doing this).
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin illegal in Nepal on: October 09, 2017, 05:01:39 AM
National Bank of Nepal Deems Bitcoin Exchange Operations “Illegal,” While the CIB Police Force Arrest Seven Exchange Operators

Source :- https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-illegal-in-nepal-police-arrest-seven-individuals-for-trading-operations/

China is a bigger country than Nepal. Though the issue in China shook Bitcoin, it did not even last long. Bitcoin recovered quickly than anyone had anticipated. So if this will also happen in Nepal, I think that it will not affect Bitcoin that much. Bitcoin is a global thing and is not focused to these countries. This negative news will eventually turn into a positive thing. This will help the enlightenment of some Nepalese about Bitcoin.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN = 5000$ THIS 2017? on: October 04, 2017, 04:48:18 AM
What can you say about bitcoin that pumped into 4115$. Do you think the goal of everyone for bitcoin will reach its value into 5000$ this 2017?
according to my research, bitcoin price is breaking its resistance level and if trading volume in South Korea, Japan, Europe and the US hold up. So it means there is chance to reach everyone's target. But there are factors that also affects bitcoin like in china, because the bitcoin industry on that country is over.

Another factor that might hinder Bitcoin in reaching its new all time high is the upcoming possible hardfork. This will, undoubtedly, trigger panic selling and whale dumping. This is inevitable since some will find ways to make the price drop and buy more Bitcoin in order to have some free coins. Regardless of the factors that hinds Bitcoin from increase, Bitcoin will definitely reach the 5000 dollar mark. It's less than 3 months more before the year ends and there are a lot more things that may happen that may help to pump Bitcoin's price.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rise is over on: October 04, 2017, 04:21:34 AM
It seems the basis is off. First, the correction happened already when the price is about to reach the 5000 dollar mark and now the price is just 4300+ USD. It is almost 700 dollar away from 5000 dollar mark so having a correction "that big" is absurd. Bitcoin will still increase in the following months so it is not justifiable to say that the increase is over. Though we will encounter several downtrend but still Bitcoin will go up eventually.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin out of circulation on: October 03, 2017, 08:18:12 AM
If some people has lots of bitcoin in their offline wallets and they die or lose memory.

Then those coins will be out of circulation right? Or is there any way to recover them?

If such thing happens, then it will be lost forever. No one can recover these lost assets since they are encrypted will password and private key that the only one who knows it is the sole owner of that wallet. If anyone related to the owner knows the private key of the wallet and/or his password then it may be recovered and be included in the circulation or some random hacker crack the wallet. Except from these, there is no other way to recover the lost Bitcoins

Bitcoin is a 2 term word joined together, bit and coin. At first akala ko yung "bit" has something to do with the word "a bit". Pero if you'll be relating it sa computer or internet world, ito yung language or count na binabasa ng computer or any programming language. Bit came from the wory binary, which is the smallest unit in programming language. Then the word coin is self explanatory.

Bit came from "binary digit" and not from "binary" only.

Para mas mapadali, ganito nalang natin irelate ung name ng Bitcoin. Bit is for digital, kasi nga term siya sa computer. And coin is for currency or money. So the term "Bitcoin" means "digital currency" or "digital money.

175  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise to 4300 $ on: October 02, 2017, 01:21:13 AM
BTC BTC rise  to 4300, What do you say about this spike ?

With that increase, we might see Bitcoin reach the 5000 dollar mark. Or maybe it's just a bull trap. However, I believe that we will see Bitcoin go up within this month of October. That is to be expected since there is a possible fork in the month of November. Nonetheless, Bitcoin is always pointed upward, in average, so there is nothing to be worried about.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leave Bitcoin in Exchange? on: September 29, 2017, 03:07:19 PM
Some people says that the wrost thing to do is leave your bitcoins in some exchange.
I have 200 usd of btcs in Payeer, it is a online wallet but it also has a exchange.

Do you recommend to me to move this bitcoin to a wallet like Electrum?

Yes, it is a worst thing to do. Exchanges are vulnerable to some attacks that might result to hacking and loss of assets. If you leave your bitcoins in an exchange then you are exposing it to hackers. Also, the owner of the exchange may steal your coins or hold your coins if they find your funds suspicious. As long as you do not own or control your own private key, you are not the owner of that coin.

Electrum, trezor, or any wallet that lets you control your private key is a good wallet.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is died! on: September 29, 2017, 02:47:24 PM
Banning Bitcoin by the government in a specific country cannot justify the death of Bitcoin. Bitcoin lives on the backbone of the internet itself so the only way to kill Bitcoin is to take down the internet, for good. Yes, the banning will affect Bitcoin but in the matter of its price only. So regardless if a government ban Bitcoin or not as long as the internet lives, Bitcoin will also live.
178  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 1 bitcoin is equal to 1 million on: September 26, 2017, 10:09:49 PM
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin the price $250,000 in the next 10 years on: September 25, 2017, 05:32:57 PM
what do you think about this prediction of co-founder of breadwallet aaro lasher the bitcoin's hit the price around $250,000usd in the next 10 years, how about you mates what is your opinion about this expection.

That is a very optimistic prediction for Bitcoin. However, that price is a bit too much in my perception. Yes, it would be great if Bitcoin reaches that price within just 10 years but it might have be difficult use Bitcoin at that point. Imagine how much will be the value of a satoshi and the value of a "recommended" transaction fee. This is very high. We might not see Bitcoin on the mainstream if the price gets that high, well if the transaction fee will be eliminated then we will see Bitcoin on the mainstream but if the tx fee would be very high for just a simple purchase then the price at that point is not very healthy for Bitcoin itself.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is being accepted as method of payment by more and more businesses on: September 25, 2017, 04:44:59 PM

Other cryptocurrency must do the same. Many altcoin out there were made on a specific goal and usage as well as a specific field or industry and it should be the right time for them to do what they are intended to do. There might be some competition, though. However, this is common in marketing so if the other cryptocurrency follows what Bitcoin is doing, cryptocurrency will be widely known around the world in no time.
