161  Economy / Gambling / Re: ApopheniaBTC - Bet and solve the challenges to win BTC. on: January 11, 2014, 12:24:33 AM
Here's a new pic: SNIP!

How do I play?'

Go to the ApopheniaBTC website, https://apopheniabtc.com/, then click on the distorted picture.  Input the information required (your BTC receiving address, your guess) then click "Bet".  You'll then be given an address to send the displayed amount of BTC to.  After a confirmation or two, if your guess was correct, you'll receive your BTC!

I've played a few times, and even got a few answers correct.  It's a great game that doesn't take up too much of your time and it can slowly drive you insane when you're sure you know what it is... then it cleans up the photo a bit more and you were way off.

I appreciate new hardware resellers coming online, but there's no way I'd wait that long for a miner that is currently on the market...  Is it possible that you have a typo there and you actually mean 3 days?  Because that's about the shipping time I expect when buying from Canary or SSB or even Sushi (coming from China to the US).

Edit:  Ironically misspelled the word "typo".

Alrighty!  Not a problem.  Grin

Thanks for the reply.

How long do these take to ship?  I ordered mine a few days ago and haven't received any tracking information or anything.  Or is there none since it'll probably come in an envelope?

Thanks!
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Start your Dice casino for any alt-coin! CoinDice 1.0 script [1.1 BTC] on: January 08, 2014, 02:40:56 AM
How large is the background for that site?  It took me nearly a minute to download it!  After that though, everything was pretty smooth.

I'm interested, but I wonder what the legal implications might be for someone based in the US.  Sad

Ohh well, I wish you luck!
168  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: Asic Miner on: January 08, 2014, 02:26:12 AM
Why not buy BTC with that 4k, then buy a Bitmain Antminer S1?  They hash at 180-200 gh/s and cost I think about 3 BTC new/shipped now.

Sorry,  I wish I had an answer for you... but I just don't know.  That graph is only the last 24 hours, I seem to remember there being a way to zoom out and see more history?  The graph you posted is in line with what you have earned, but if you've been mining at that same rate and stability for 3+ days you should obviously have more.  Sad

That's very weird.  What does your hash rate graph look like over the week?

Is your cgminer showing any HW?  Even a few are detrimental to your hash rate.

What is your hash rate on WeMineLTC?  Does it match what cgminer says?

I've had miners pointed at WeMineLTC for over a year now, and I've never had a problem with them skimming me.  There was a problem about 5-6 months ago when LTC mining was being exploited, and that made a lot of people think WeMineLTC was skipping.  It was later proven that that wasn't the case.  WeMineLTC was also not the only pool affected by the exploit, they just happened to have been one of the largest pools at the time.
174  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] $200 Starbucks Gift Cards, big discount! on: January 07, 2014, 03:02:01 AM
These aren't ecodes, they are actual gift cards that you get in store.  I have seen those on coingig, but I just wanted to point out that these are different.

Just so you know, as it might save you some shipping.  All Starbucks cards have a long code on the back and an 8 digit pin (you need to scratch off the stuff on the back) and they can all be added to any Starbucks account digitally.  No need for the physical card.

I'll take one!
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Want to sell litecoins on: January 07, 2014, 01:32:44 AM
I'd suggest turning your LTC into BTC at an exchange like BTC-e.  Then take those BTC to a website like Coinbase and sell them there. Smiley
177  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Amagi Metals - Best Prices of Gold, Silver, & Platinum for Bitcoins on: January 07, 2014, 01:15:34 AM
We removed Bitcoin from our currency selector temporarily. We're working on a fix for the errors it was causing with orders coming in with Bitcoin.

Is it just that we can't display prices in BTC, or are you also temporarily not accepting BTC?  Thanks!
178  Economy / Goods / Re: Stainless steel bitcoin cold storage wallets on: January 07, 2014, 12:42:59 AM
We actually already offer them! We just need to add that as an option for our Cold Cards (already listed for our public ID cards). If you'd like one for litecoin, just make a note in the order notes section of the checkout. If you were a ColdCoins customer, shoot us an e-mail via the contact page and we'll hook you up.

Is their a Litecoin equivalent for bitaddress.org?  How do I generate a Private Key for Litecoin?  (sorry if that's a noob question)
