Is this going to be the theme for the next CI coin in the sport series?  Huh Smiley

The themes were more or less selected by popularity like the basketball and hockey, but cryptoimperator has the final say on what sport makes it to the finish line .  If the artwork is appealing and the timing is right anything is possible.   Cool Cool

I am enjoying this tread as it is shaking our memories a bit and hopefully reminding us of a once simpler time. Smiley Smiley Smiley

I might be dating myself here, but I seem to recall all the ones we had growing up were red, not black.  My favorite recess game was kickball, and IIRC we used the same balls for all those schoolyard games.

Thanks for the nostalgia.   Grin

Yep, they were red back in the day.  4-square, but a different ball for kickball as I remember.

Dogeball  Smiley

Wow, that took all of 5 seconds, nice job CBC.  You must have played some .  Cool Cool

Oh yea I played it a lot growing up in grade school.  Big fan of the movie too lol.

If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball!!

"Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge.”

I always liked the ball because the pattern lines on it make the ball color change  dark or light depending on how you turn it.  Cool Cool Cool

Yes indeed.

Quite excited to see the hockey coin IRL.
Got the PM yesterday.

I really think these coins are the right there with the million doge coin cryptoimperator has produced.  He has produced many over the years that I have really enjoyed but, the hockey coin was way over the top.

Alright alright, enough propaganda  Tongue

Hey, did you get a basketball coin?

I do think it is a great time to have your #83 cards graded.  Any #83 ginter x, silver glossy's, or any numbered cards.  I doubt I would grade and regular common or mini's..  300.00 is a little much to pay for grading for the commons.

Yep I'm just waiting for psa to catch up, not worth a "quick" turn for $300 that's robbery.  Will wait for the value and economy options come back online.  They are catching up the backlog fairly rapidly now.  I imagine there is a ton a more graders working than we're in 2020.  Wonder how it's gonna effect the quality of the grading.

I wonder if economy prices will ever come back.

They will no one will grade a card worth under $500 ever again beckett will take all of their business.  They will 100% be back.  I imagine a good portion of their business is value and economy.

Beckett raised their minimum grading cost to 250.00, yuk.

Looks like #83 has cooled a bit.  When bitcoin takes off again I believe we will see a surge in prices for these cards.  This is the perfect time to have your cards graded during this lull period.   Cool Cool

It's not the #83 it's the whole market.  Sports cards definitely peaked early this year and have all come down significantly.  Even though it's not "sports" the crypto card will also move as the sports card industry moves.

I think the #83 is however more closely tied to the price of bitcoin than it is to the sportscard industry.

I don't know Dolph.  There is no direction connection to price like load value or anything.  If you track the price rise and fall it coincided with the entire sports card craze.  Not saying there isn't different collectors of the crypto card but the rise and fall have been the same.

Well maybe a little of both

Hello everyone

As beautiful as these hockey coins turned out, I doubt anyone is going to pass on taking the # coin they were promised if they purchased the basketball coin.  Without a doubt these ended up as rare museum pieces for sure.  Thank you cryptoimperator for taking my vision and making it a reality.

It's awesome to see how well these cards appreciated in value. Dug out my collection a few days ago. Sitting on 50 base 5 silver 2 black and a handful of minis. I guess I'll send that couple to HGA while waiting on BGS to allow submissions again.  Smiley

Those are good cards to have..  Hotbox silver especially.  i would wait for PSA if you are sure they will grade well.  Maybe send in through a card shop for best rate.

Yeah I've got a guy I send to that submits them. He's got some setup with different color lights and cleans them up and videos me about what he thinks it'll grade. I've only got 9.5s back from him and the others he rejects just cost $3 for inspection. I do think HGA will stick around tho. I like them at least with the color match. Happy collecting!

Also there's a black mini x for auction on eBay with no reserve that started at .99 cents. This should be fun to watch.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/234063616072

Wow a /100 mini x. Auctions high risk with recent cool down. PSA 10 mini card sold for 240. The word hasn't gotten out on the rarities so folks only want base card.   Id be surprised if it goes over 600. Easily a 2500 card.

I plan on bidding up to 500. Dont need it but ya know, I want it  Cheesy When did the PSA 10 sell for 240? I'm Nah-256 the one who did the original valuations on OP. Have no fear everyone, the alt acct was to recover this account when everything was breached and is well known to mods who helped me regain access to this acct.

this mini selling for that low is nuts

https://www.ebay.com/itm/144068976102

agree, cost more than that to grade it
