161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Bargains to scoop up on: April 16, 2018, 05:59:05 PM
If i am buying today, I will likely buy; ONT, VEN, ICX, and WAN.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how do you choose Altcoin .. ?? on: April 14, 2018, 08:45:23 PM
1. Ask what is the project about?  What it solves or what it offers others don't or it can do better.  See whitepaper for this.
2. How good is the dev team?
3. Who backs it up?  Any partnerships going?
4. How is the marketing?  How well is it received?  (Hype is good to an extent)
5. If already listed, which exchanges is it listed on?  You want it in major exchanges.

After it checks out on all the above, then look at the coin supply, current price, etc to see where it possibly rank in the future.  Still speculation but if you did a good job you will know if it is a good investment or not.

While low supply is good...it is only worth buying if the coin is good.  Even if you get 20% of the supply of a shit coin, you still got shit.  Buy a good coin, even if you got a small percentage...it is bound to grow.

Ignore the price, look for the % return.  Granted low price good coin is more likely to grow more...like above, a big bag of low price shitcoin is still shit.  I'd rather have a small piece of gold myself.

Re: recommendations here, avoid people who shill a particular coin too much or claim outrageous projected growth (like x100 or x1000).  I'd listen to those who say x3, x5, or x10 more. Wink

Good luck!
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we repeating the 2014 BTC crash??? on: April 13, 2018, 10:05:20 PM
my opinion about BTC price that dips lower and it will crash like 2014 is Totally disagreed,
just look, crypto is little mature than 2014 and some altcoins domination is higher than 2014 which BTC had dominated over 50%.
coin market cap also bigger than 2014 and it's one of a good indicator sustainable ecosystem. and we create a future socieaty
indeed, fundamental have a substantial effect on crypto price, it causes volatility especially for the crypto price but for we repeating 2014 the BTC Crash doesn't make sense

This is the nth and last time I'll say this...IT ALREADY HAPPENED proportionately.   We've lost 70% of BTC value just like in 2014.

It is amazing how many don't see what actually is happening while they are in denial.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which is better a Long term or Short term investment? on: April 13, 2018, 04:29:09 PM
It depends on who you are. I think people who do not know basic analysis and technical analysis should learn them first. My personal idea is very difficult in everyday trade in cryptos. For this reason I prefer long-term investment by doing a good research.

Right on.

IF you are good and have time to devote to it, short term is great and offer so much more return.

If you don't have time, long term is better since you only need to do initial research then let it grow.

Many are in between (mix) and get long term coins ... but buy/sell when conditions are favorable.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i now dump deeponions before last airdrop? on: April 13, 2018, 01:30:33 PM
I'd DUMP it ASAP and buy better coins while they are still low (though most already went up some).

Not a problem for me though, since I never touched that coin Cheesy
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins aren't stock...or am I missing something? on: April 12, 2018, 11:10:22 PM
Not a ton, though. Page 200+ of cmc is full of absolute shit coins, even page 1 is filled with non sense coins that have less than 1m in volume and are literal copies of other coins or straight up forks. Like litecoin, which is a very famous alt coin but it's really nothing, it's just a copy of bitcoin, it really offers nothing else. Most coins are still pretty garbage, give it a few more years before real companies jump in.

While I agree on most of your points, don't forget that most of the top coins, started near the bottom of the list.

Actually, the best opportunities (highest return) may be among those at the bottom of the list...but yeah, you need to learn how to carefully navigate and avoid the countless "shit" down there.  Wink

Yeah but we were talking about utility not how much money you can make with shit coins. In the bull run, everything had high returns, you don't have to be a genius to make money in a bull market, sure shit coins had big spikes but look where they are now, virtually dead. If you are talking purely about trading and speculation, you can surely use any coin but for a real long term investment, only a few coins will be worth it and I'm talking about 15-20, max right now.

I think you missed my point.  Even the best coin will start near the bottom.  It may be cheap still but is gold or diamond...not shit.

168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins aren't stock...or am I missing something? on: April 12, 2018, 03:25:26 PM
The short answer...

Crypto is not stock BUT, stock is the closest we can compare it to right now.  Many might not see it but crypto is evolving... I would even say it changed so much that calling it cryptoCURRENCY might be considered a misnomer soon.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we repeating the 2014 BTC crash??? on: April 10, 2018, 01:56:08 PM
I find the market behaving strangely. There are so many good things happening, btc transactions are fast and cheap, big names buying into crypto etc. but interest has fallen down so much, the price and the volumes. Its odd. I mean its way up from 12 months ago, but still, given how much better it is now its strange the price doesnt follow and keeps bouncing up and down in this small range.

It is at a crossroad...
- it got noticed by many weak speculators last year who dumped in the 1st sign of trouble.
- governments started acknowledging crypto (which is good) but introduction of regulations, taxes, etc also caused anxiety.
- new big investors (whales) are coming in and likely manipulating the market.
- etc.
- etc.

It is finding it's place and balance right now and as far as I am concerned, it is a good thing.

I am confident we will come out with a big bang...the only question is how soon. Smiley
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we repeating the 2014 BTC crash??? on: April 09, 2018, 04:49:32 PM
History repeats itself on most of the things but for Bitcoin it won't in terms of crash I believe. In 2014 the familiarity and the demand is far behind and the crash may happened due to some reasons but not Bitcoins familiarity and demand is very high, crash kind of thing won't happen now. The current price fluctuation is just a part of volatile crypto market I guess.

Really?  Where have you been hiding since Christmas???

In case you missed it...BTC value (and the WHOLE MARKET in general--yes that include all the new alt coins) lost 70% since Dec 17,2017 on Feb 6.  If that is not a CRASH, I don't know what is.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Get on the boat with me, x2 x3 x4 on: April 09, 2018, 02:20:01 PM
BCD/BTC Binance
Mid-term from 2 to 3 days
target 1 : 3650
target 2 : 4250
hodl x2 x3 x5 .

To be fair...almost ANY decent coin you buy now have potential to go x3 - x5...the question is when or how soon.

That said, I personally won't touch this coin...looks like it is DEAD.

Good luck!
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ontology ONT - Price speculation on: April 07, 2018, 01:00:36 PM
Oh I definitely believe in ONT. Buying the next dip.
Hope that you got ONT for your reasonable price, but seems like it perform exceptional so the story may reverse likely more rise up rather then dip. The entire market is down except ONT which has rapid growth for some reason.

Haven't bought the amount of ONT i was intending to just yet. Feeling super fomoed right now  Grin

I also bought some with intention to buy more but the dip I am waiting for did not come (yet).  I hope it does.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DRGN exploded... on: April 04, 2018, 08:20:12 PM
One thing I observe recently is that there are some inside trading going on in the space, just look at Dmarket token price before it was listed on Bittrex, someone was accumulating it for days on Tidex and sold it on Bittrex for 10X profit. I think some people have some information that is not for public consumptions for now

Could be a P&D group Smiley

Yesterday it was Lisk/LSK
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DRGN exploded... on: April 04, 2018, 08:05:42 PM
Any ideas why DRGN exploded so fast?

It jumped from 0.00155 to 0.002 ETH within a second! It's a good coin, but there should be another reason. Is it still worth to join the show?

It did and is my biggest winner today.

Whether it is still good to join, yes but I think it will correct and dip in a day or so...I'd wait.

I think it is a good coin to invest on...though it is one of my smaller investments (I should remedy that Wink  )
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it a good idea or not? on: April 04, 2018, 06:51:32 PM
I know the price of all crypto currencies are now started to recover,so I just want to convert my portion of bitcoins into Ethereum, because I hope ethereum will have better growth rate when compare to bitcoin.

So what you are thinking guys is it good idea or better hold as bitcoin.

Follow what you believe.

For myself, I converted ALL my BTC, ETH, LTC, and XMR to other alts.  My belief is my chosen alts will out perform these % gain wise.  I may be mistaken but I made my bet and comfortable with my decision.  Most will probably call me crazy. Smiley
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best 2-month investment on: April 04, 2018, 05:43:28 PM
I have some money not more than two months later. In which coin should I invest? I searched to find my answer, but advices are for long-term investment.
Investing on crypto with a short hard set deadline is not recommended.  It compounds your risk tremendously.

BEWARE!

I hope you listened to me.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: April 04, 2018, 04:59:11 PM
Hello guys,

here i want to start a discussion about the possibility of getting rich with cryptos. if you start off with an amount of lets say max. 1k i dont think so. If we say you are able to invest like 10-100k you can still earn alot of money but in this case you are already very wealthy. Here is no enough space below this post to either say "Hey man you got it right" or just prove me wrong. leeeeeeeeeeeeets go  Wink

First, please define what do you consider "RICH"?
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does ETH movements depend on BTC ? on: April 04, 2018, 04:50:49 PM
For the most part, ALL alts move along with BTC price proportionately.  Some may vary depending on unique circumstance of the coin in a given point in time.

Just look at coinmarketcap.com and check the weekly graphs. Wink

The usual cause of deviation is when BTC rise too fast that the effect becomes inverse and most alts will decrease, just because people sell alts (even cheaply) in attempt to get more BTC.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best coins to buy right now? on: April 04, 2018, 04:39:15 PM
