161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: October 03, 2017, 04:10:06 PM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.

Lots of people think Bitcoin is a scam or at least an idea that is just a waste of money. Most people don't really understand it. I like to tell people how much 1 Bitcoin is worth now and see the expression on their face. When they hear the price, their expression changes.

There is also a person i know who hate bitcoin because she really think its a scam, because she wont believe how much it worth, and i use to ignore her and never bother her about bitcoin, that is how i deal with her.
162  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Wallet as trojan on: October 03, 2017, 04:04:00 PM
I have a little trick for this but it may sound very annoying for many people. Cheesy
As I am very distrustful person, whenever I try untrusted/unknown wallet I install it on a virtual computer first.
So far I didn't find out any suspicious activity but I still think it's worth it.   Cheesy

Yes Vm is always good.
Still Wallet takes a lot of time and space to sync. So when you are sure its safe you have to move it back.Which is not very pleasant procedure
And simply setting it up wont do much good. malware may be activated at certain time. Like at night to do evil things.
Does any body knows good scanner for github repo. I had one once, i cannot remember what it was.
Otherwise you need some guardicore or something to monitor situation when software actually runs.

I wouldn't trust Virtual Machines as enough prevention for potential hacks to be honest. If you really want to install risky wallets on the altcoin section, get an additional computer, such as a laptop that contains no confidential data, then install all the crap you want on there and stop worrying about if your main computer is safe against altcoin wallets potentially infected with malware. It's just too much stress to deal with VM, antiviruses, firewalls etc.. better get a secondary computer.

I think so, it would be much easier if you would get another computer or laptop.  Wink
163  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: October 01, 2017, 06:30:41 AM
...

Will BTC be used by almost everyone in 2022?

Nope.  I know very few "Millennials" who use it, yet they are the most connected people around.  There is no way that my Boomer generation will adopt BTC as is, it's just too complicated and clumsy.  "Not ready for primetime."

There are not enough merchants who accept it.  In my eyes, this is perhaps the major stumbling block.

There is ALWAYS the possibility of unknown types of future attacks (of various sorts) against the Bitcoin Ecosystem.

BTC is too volatile for mass use.

While I wish BTC well (and have a nice little stake), I think it will move slowly.

Bitcoin will be used by everyone if those who are not interested in it will be interested in the future.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: September 30, 2017, 09:52:18 PM
Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!

am i the only one that can't make sense of this question at all!
you say you have a lot of bitcoin then you say you have only 2.1BTC and then you continue with saying it is worth 50 cents!

are you sure you are not confusing bitcoin units? 2.1 bitcoin is worth $5200 and if you have this much prices never go up a few cents. you can see from these past few days price went down to $2200 and back up to $2500 that is a $630 change on 2.1BTC!

Its really doesn't make sense bruh. And also the question is already asked by other member of this forum over and over, try to make a new one.
165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why positive trust is important? on: September 29, 2017, 08:40:38 PM
It's important because that's how you build your reputation here in forum and it helps us know which people can be trusted or not(but still be cautious because there are accounts with positive trust that are being bought/hacked). The positive trust we mostly see comes from feedbacks left by users who are on Default Trust. If you want to know more about default trust go to the meta section then search for default trust by using the search bar.

Thanks for the info.

168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: September 28, 2017, 12:34:13 PM
Yes because people now without job are really interested to find a job once they hear about bitcoin and how much it cost and how profitable it is then for them it would be the fine opportunity for them
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: September 27, 2017, 09:53:03 AM
It is good to invest in etherium for short term only but if you want more profitable and a long term investment, bitcoin for me is much better.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a True Believer? on: September 26, 2017, 03:33:53 PM
I have joined cryptocurrency because of this ideology.
That one day people would be able to leave the grasp of agencies controlling what they could do with their own money.
And be able to create a new decentralized form of currency.
This may not be attainable in the coming years but one day i believe it will be a reality.
Because of this maybe i can say that i am a believer.
Believer that cryptocurrency will help us be free...
Cheesy

Yeah! And i also believe that someday bitcoin will be what satoshi intended it to be.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is being accepted as method of payment by more and more businesses on: September 25, 2017, 06:49:01 PM
It is simply because bitcoin is really something that it already make its name in the crypto world.  Bitcoin is tested and proven and as the first digital currency it should be recognized as the most used and well known digital currency.  I also saw on a documentary that some stores in New York already accepted bitcoin.  It just shows that bitcoin is the new money for this generation and that is without a doubt.

Yes and its also accepted because of its easy way in transacting payments.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can states buy all bitcoin? on: September 25, 2017, 06:25:22 PM
Well i dont think that states could afford all of bitcoins in the world and i dont think they could have them all because mostly of the people having bitcoins saves it for future purposes.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: September 25, 2017, 03:43:04 PM
I save bitcoin for future purposes, because I do hope that one day, bitcoin will rise more and I can use bitcoin to buy what I need in the future.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Die Because of China? on: September 25, 2017, 03:30:52 PM

I guess the best answer to that question is of course a BIG NO! Granted, China is a big contributor for the rise and adoption of Bitcoin and they are primarily the country involved with Bitcoin mining due to very cheap electricity cost.

Now, the Chinese government has its own agenda and I think in the long run Bitcoin can be running against those agenda so they are now thinking of slowly disengaging and disconnecting their citizens away from the cryptocurrency platform.

I know that whatever China will decide on the impact can be heavy on the market and this is shown with the recent decision banning the ICO projects and the unconfirmed total ban of Bitcoin exchanges though it is still a rumor and nobody would want to confirm.

Can cryptocurrency still go on and have a very optimistic future even without China as part of the equation?

Yes i agree with you thats why its a big NO.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: September 24, 2017, 04:53:57 PM

176  Economy / Speculation / Re: How MUCH will the FINAL BTC be WORTH? on: September 23, 2017, 07:17:24 AM
Well as far as I know bitcoin dont have a final worth since it can change its worth anytime.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: September 20, 2017, 06:51:55 AM
Bitcoin is a new kind of money because it is stated there that "money is use as a medium of exchange" and since bitcoin is used in some exchanging transaction, we can consider bitcoin also as a money though it is not common in other countries.
178  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: September 19, 2017, 05:54:28 AM
Yes I do believe in God, even if some people says that he doesnt exist and there are no evidences of his existence, I still do believe because I have faith in him and always have faith in him.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: September 18, 2017, 09:06:30 AM

180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: September 18, 2017, 07:03:07 AM
Its hard to leave your full time employment because we cant really tell what will happen to the bitcoin in the future so for now its the best idea to continue your job and besides here in my country i havent heard a person who left his job for bitcoin.
