161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STRATIS on: January 03, 2018, 10:09:25 PM
Does the sun rise? And do humans eat? We have the same answer to all these questions and what you should be asking is will Stratis improve in terms of BTC from where it is now? That is more important because of course they will exist in the coming years but nobody knows how well they will do.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NXC, What is your opinion? on: January 03, 2018, 10:04:10 PM
Yes I think coins like Nexium have potentially because one of the top coins right now is Tron (TRX) and it is a gaming coin. Looking at what they are doing should give optimism to those in any other gaming coin including Nexium.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP how to purchase the coin not trade it on: January 03, 2018, 10:00:48 PM
Yes you can find it on a number of altcoin exchanges and even on some exchanges that give you BTC. Try Bitfiniex, Poloniex, Bittrex, and Bitstamp. All these websites will have Ripple but you probably need verification first.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 03, 2018, 09:54:45 PM
Today I received 29% of the profit from this coin. As for me it is a very good result. But I keep the some XEM at my long-term portfolio. I hope that this will bring me even more profit in 2018.

It probably will because DIMCOIN will be coming out on top of the network which should boost the NEM coin itself. Gotta look into this further myself before investing but the outlook seems bright.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin expectation end of 2018 on: January 02, 2018, 08:57:15 PM
A trader just made a million dollar bet that Bitcoin would be over $50k by the end of 2018  A large trader (or traders) just plopped down a million dollars betting that Bitcoin would hit $50k sometime in 2018.

I wouldn't be as bullish as betting a million on it but I think the range we will hit by the end of the year this year will be 50-100k as well. The overall market sentiment is quite bullish and there is no signs of slowing down, no reason to think it won't go a lot higher than 25k.
166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which exchanges have 0% maker fee? on: January 02, 2018, 08:47:57 PM
I have heard that some asian exchanges don't take fees but I haven't looked into it nor does that make any sense to me. How could these exchanges therefore make enough money? From withdrawals and deposit fees? Seems like a herculean task to conquer.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ARDR will be a dark horse? on: January 02, 2018, 08:40:56 PM
A dark horse is something that is a winner but relatively unknown, I don't think you can apply that to ARDR. It has been top 100 forever and will likely always remain this way, but for sure has gone under the radar as of late.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BEST ICOS for January 2018 on: January 02, 2018, 08:34:04 PM
TheKey looks promising for sure what about thebee token? They are trying to be Air BnB but with a crypto involved. Seems like a pretty neat idea, one that actually has a use case for the token.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 02, 2018, 08:25:47 PM
Anyone know why I didn’t get my first airdrop? I’ve got 14 BTX in my Coinomi wallet. I signed the message in the app and copied it across to the website along with my address but nothing came through yesterday. I tried to register again but it says I’ve already done it. Any ideas?

check registered address here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/  to see the balance

It says no results when I enter my public address!

Find the coin control option in your wallet and check to see if the address is the same there as the one you registered. When we send coins we get a custom change address and that is probably what happened. Take a look at this guide see if it doesn't help you. https://www.bitcore.cc/BitcoreBTX_Guide_AdvancedCoinControl.pdf
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: December 29, 2017, 06:55:50 PM
the color is the last thing.
We basically have nothing right now, only the airdrop.
You can say the speed, the blocks, blablabla... but the fact is that no one know us, cause no one wants do some marketing.. we still have cmc numbers error..it is ridicolous.
Every fork out there has a 200-500$ price, also the shit fork zcl that will happens in 1 month went from 5$ last week to 140$ today, and still growing.
I would say that btx is the only failed fork?

It isn't a fork like those hard forks you are referring to. Instead it was a virtual fork and the date preceded all those other forks. There should definitely be more recognition than Bitcore is getting in the market but if the marketing goes slowly is that a bad thing? You can accumulate more BTX which is undervalued at this price and when it does 5-10x from here you will have significantly more pieces which means you will profit much more. I don't love that it is at this price but it certainly isn't a bad thing neither.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who had NVIDIA in their investment Portfolio, besides Bitcoin? on: December 29, 2017, 06:46:31 PM
Not me but I wish I had known about mining and the intensity that would increase from then until now. Thinking about it now won't NVIDIA have a similar jump up from now until 2020 given that mining will only increase more and more everyday? It may be a good play to pick up some stock of NVIDIA even today Cheesy
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How To Make An Easy 38.9% ROI With SALT Lending on: December 29, 2017, 01:44:20 AM
It seems easy but then again it seems like it is too good to be true. First off why wouldn't everbody be doing this if the ROI is close to 40%? And second how many people get accepted at that $27.50 rate because I know there are tons of people wanting these loans can't imagine everybody will get this flip opportunity. Again seems easy but I would think there are a few more steps to it than the 5 you listed.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - 🔏 Digital Cash For Highly-Confidential Transactions 🔏 on: December 29, 2017, 01:28:30 AM
I agree and I believe this surpasses XMR in 2018.  $300+ in 2018 will be easy and I can see $500 when you factor in that XMR will grow and this will surpass.
Stay tuned!  Great community and viable coin!

Come on even I who want all these privacy coins to moon don't think it will go that far. Dash and Monero are far ahead and they have time on their hands and built big communities, I don't think we can actually hope to overtake them in 2018. But being by their side and being top 25 in coins would be pretty damn cool.
174  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto prices suffer as Korean government announces new laws and a potential ban on: December 29, 2017, 01:15:47 AM
Don't you mean Yobit? I wasn't even aware that exchange got hacked but I do try to avoid it for other reasons like incompetence and lack of character. And okay they banned some stuff but how long will that effect the market and how long will it be before they are "unbanned". I suspect the prices won't be effected longer than a week and in a months time they will have some sort of resolution. Same timeline as China basically for me and I think the industry will shrug this off in no time.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x Bitcoin Fork EXPLAINED in 3 minutes. on: December 29, 2017, 01:10:33 AM
Yeah seriously nothing new here accept maybe these Segwit2x idiots are trying to hustle the unsuspecting newbie who knows nothing about Bitcoin Core or other coins. The same thing is ongoing with Bitcoin Cash it is a coin controlled by two people mainly and their goal is to dump on unsuspecting newbies, stay away from this trash as you do Bitcoin Cash.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MediaCoin on: December 27, 2017, 12:13:51 AM
Usually hard forks try to improve on the existing concept that is already there. I fail to see how making a bitcoin fork to create a social media coin would work at all Huh. Instead you should try fork coins that are already doing something like this and try to improve on their concept. One coin I can think of is Steemit they are a social media coin and if you forked from them perhaps you could accomplish what you set out to?
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: December 26, 2017, 11:57:23 PM
Which is the best wallet for XRB??

Thank you!!

www.raiwallet.com works as a charm

Don't click that! Not 100% certain it isn't a scam. The rai wallet website should have https attached to it, make sure it does prior to entering any details or putting any XRB into it. You are most welcome Grin
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: December 26, 2017, 11:50:07 PM
i hope the team will do something soon, cause the only thing that btx has, is only the airdrop right now..
some marketing? cmc update? new exchangers? nothing..??

There is a marketing program though and that is the Bitcore Bounty program. It is a bit small right now but it seems to be growing and adding new members every week. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2561179.new#new
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] BITCORE BTX Signature & Avatar Campaign Members+ [FULL] on: December 26, 2017, 11:41:40 PM

180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shaking out the tree on: December 23, 2017, 08:13:38 PM
Yes, but doesn't this bother anybody else? I mean we had seen some massive dumps like this before, but this one bothered me the most, because the dump was pulled off despite bitcoin's huge price. I don't know how true it is, but I read somewhere that some $200bn in bitcoin were dumped. Do whales really have this much money?

It isn't the whales who were dumping most probably it was likely the noobs who freaked out when BTC was down -20% and they thought the ship was sinking and done for. Little did they know that every time BTC dies or crashes or whatever it retraces back a few days or weeks after that. Experience is everything in any industry and it carries much more weight in this one, I didn't even flinch a second and life carried on as normal.
