161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: two coins with x100 potential: Hive (HVN) & Crave (CRAVE)? on: December 09, 2017, 08:43:16 AM
That crave coin has been around for quite a long time now and hasn't really made any significant gains so i'm not expecting them to do much in the future to be honest. I think they are just promoting the idea that they are a masternode and that's all they have going for them but there are a lot of masternode coins around nowadays. Doesn't seem to be anything special with them. The other one Hive look's more promising to me, i just looked through there website which you are right about it's a pretty crappy website! But as you said it does look like a solid product and i can see that it has some potential. i will investigate hive some more and might throw a $100 it's way and see where it takes me.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there people here from 2013 who are not millionaires now? on: December 09, 2017, 08:25:56 AM
your thread makes it sound like you think it's too late to become a millionaire now. Just because you made some wrong choices before and didn't hold doesn't mean you can't learn from your mistakes and make some picks now and just hold and leave it there until you are a millionaire. I havent' been around since 2014 only since 2016 but i am doing ok on paper out of this so far but like you i made some rookie mistakes at the start mainly by day trading and ending up stuck on a few bad coins. I should have just held some main coins from the start and i would be a millionaire. but i know this now and am holding 3 really good coins and waiting.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you guys get big upcoming news about altcoins? on: December 09, 2017, 08:06:36 AM
i find a lot of these posts like that are often someone that has bought a whole lot of the coin and are just trying to pump up it's image so that the price will rise and they will profit. For the posts that are actually genuine most of the news comes from crypto news sites like https://cointelegraph.com and https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com plus the numerous news sites that have popped up on social medias. Also i get some new information from the actual coins websites, i always check updates about the coins i have invested in on there official pages.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to make friends with developers & learn on: December 09, 2017, 07:58:56 AM
I want to make friends with developers and learn how to program a blockchain. I don't want to just learn  how to program smart contracts.  I want to learn everything necessary to understand the most robust blockchain/distributed-ledger technologies.
Does anyone know a good book to pick up? I have a long history of web development/javascript. I've had a really hard time searching for this.
I need to learn because I have a unique idea I want to implement on a dead coin.

you don't need much knowledge to start your own coin it is extremely easy. there are a lot of good tutorials around, it generally only involves a little copy and pasting so why would you use a dead coin when you can just make your own one so easily? Just google it there are so many tutorials on youtube, i made one just for fun the other day but it was a token on the eth platform not a coin. Took me around 10minutes to make.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think the EBTC? on: December 09, 2017, 07:56:14 AM
i didn't even receive this one after i applied for it so i figured it was just another details phishing scam coin. If the value has gone up a lot it is likely the dev is doing it by pumping it himself and sucking in some buyers so he can dump it all at once and leave everyone else holding a useless no value token. I would never invest any money into a token like this, but if you got airdropped it for free you have nothing to lose so nothing to worry about!
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 The year of the altcoin on: December 09, 2017, 07:37:11 AM
I think the x10 and x100's of several altcoins/platforms are to be seen in 2018

Enjoy the ride brothers and sisters

I agree, there are some extremely promising new projects emerging with strong corporate backing and some solid dev teams with a lot of real world experience running them. I have seen at least 3 new up and coming projects in the last week that i think are capable of making it x100 at least and i have bought into all 3 of them also. So kudos to the coming year of the alts and may we all emerge wealthy!~~
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Connection between when Bitcoin going up Altcoin going down? on: December 09, 2017, 07:18:45 AM
This is something I never could understand, what is there connection really? Every time we see BTC going up most of other ALT coins on the market showing red, value percentage going down, what is that about?

It's just people jumping on the bitcoin gravy train and dumping all there other coins in the hope that they can buy more of the altcoins back afterwards after bitcoin makes them some gains. I am tired of this current bitcoin bullish rise affecting all my alts values i hope it ends sometime shortly. On the bright side there are some extremely good altcoin prices right now, i think bitcoin must be near plateauing for the current period so we have a big chance to make some good earns soon!
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin God on: December 09, 2017, 05:37:11 AM
yeah i am getting all of them. I just have all my bitcoin sitting an on exchange and they have been crediting me each time a fork comes. i know people don't like leaving coins on exchanges but i have mine split between 3 exchanges so even if they get hacked or steal my funds in one it is highly unlikely to lose all three! Just get good exchanges that actually credit you for your coins like binance, kucoin and bittrex. But for the paranoid security conscious people this system won't be of much help i guess.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment size on: December 09, 2017, 05:30:29 AM
$30,000 but i have made a hell of a lot more than that back now and it's been one awesome ride too. Many lows and many highs, i probably will only trade around what i have now and not put anything further into crypto though because i have so many coins/tokens now it's hard to manage them all. My desktop is just crowded with different wallets i need to do a selloff sometime to be honest.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM Value Boost on: December 09, 2017, 05:27:21 AM
Just saw NEM raise up more than 140% at coinmarket. What is going on? Any news that has triggered this or upcoming deals or anything?

And how does the near future looks like? Is it gonna go up or the correction is already in process?

Yes it is all thanks to its new wallet integration in WeChat mainly. I was expecting this spike in prices, it's a cunning time of year for nem to release this also because NEM is very popular in Japan and all the businesses there are paying out there yearly bonus to staff members right now so a lot of them will be putting yen into crypto and it looks like they bought NEM and BTC so far with the massive increases.
171  Other / Archival / Re: How to earn ETH from Cryptokitties on: December 09, 2017, 02:32:11 AM
By selling your kittens offspring or renting them out or just straight buying/selling (trading) them. The better the generation number and the traits the more expensive they become. It's a terrible game if you ask me but i guess everyone is only playing it to make money so it figures why it's so popular. Some kitty sold for  over 100k already the other day! Here's a goood read with some information about it : http://mashable.com/2017/12/04/how-to-play-cryptokitties/#qhWGD7i7Ksqu
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best coins for Staking ?? on: December 09, 2017, 12:58:33 AM
The coin who's signature i'm wearing right now stakes really good. From only 25 coins i am hitting a stake every 2 days or so. I think if i had a few hundred of these i would be raking in the stakes. It has a good price too and is able to be traded on yobit. Right now the price on coinmarket cap is 0.00029012 BTC which isn't too bad also. The stakes i am hitting are only 0.1 or so most of the time though. I am tempted to buy up on these and earn a decent profit staking.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it legal to make a 2x1 in a cryptocurrency created by me? on: December 09, 2017, 12:40:41 AM
yeah a lot of ICO's i have bought into have given me 30-50% bonuses. But the thing is unless you have a solid idea and exchanges lined up to list your coin just giving people double the number of a coin with no value isn't going to help much. What is your coin and what is your plan behind it? Bonuses don't really entice me to buy in an ICO, a solid roadmap and an experienced dev team is what i look for in any potential ICO before investing.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the options available earn with crypto on: December 09, 2017, 12:37:19 AM
That's a rather broad question. The options are almost limitless ranging from bounties, signtaure campaigns, faucets, referrals, airdrops, day trading and forums that pay you for participating like steem, deep onion, burst and countless others. I do all of the above and more and i am constantly finding new ways to earn more different coins and tokens for my collection daily.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IOTA Moon Again? on: December 09, 2017, 12:34:08 AM
I think the bullish run has slowed down and it's due to dip really soon. I would probably suggest selling while you are ahead and buying back after the dip to increase your holdings. Look at any coin that has a run like this 90% of them correct after this type of behavour. I am disappointed i didn't buy in a month ago when i was thinking about it too though. If it drops to half the current value i will be stocking up the next time!
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in a new ICO or just buy BTC on: December 09, 2017, 12:31:38 AM
It's rather risky going all in on Bitcoin right now. With the crazy bullish run it's had i would be concerned that it may be due for a large dip. If i invested all on Bitcoin right now i would probably buy/sell over a day or two and try to get back out while things are going good. A huge dip could potentially halve your invested cash, but on the other hand what if bitcoin never dips and just rises to hundreds of thousands (which is what worries me).
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in these altcoins? on: December 09, 2017, 12:28:19 AM
I think you could compile a much better list than that one. Most of those aside from iota have been around a long time and have been stagnant and not increasing much in value. I would look into some of the newer emerging coins with strong dev teams behind them if you want to make some fast gains. Stuff like waves and stellar Lumins don't seem to be gaining much ground as of late.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we still early? on: December 09, 2017, 12:24:09 AM
Hi,

I am new to invest in this world (not new to stocks, derivat etc) and i have two questions.

Why are companies with good concepts not on regular stock exchanges? What is the difference? I read often ”they have a good team with solid roadmap”. Maybe this is a stupid question but is this some kind of alternative business corporation world? Are they even registered as a Ltd , GmBH, AB etc?

And last, are we still early into this alternate finance world?

Thank you.

In regards to your last question, yes you are still early because new coins and tokens are still appearing so you are at the beginning of there creation for a lot of them. That's why i like to invest in fairly new concepts that haven't taken off yet because there's a chance that you may catch something great before it moons in price. i think also that it's quite hard and expensive to market in the corporate/business world but in crypto it is relatively easy to make a nive ann page and website to attract potential investors which is why a lot of them are not on regular stock exchanges.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most creative bounty programs on: December 09, 2017, 12:20:32 AM
cool token's bounty program was something different. You had to create anything cool to get rewarded cool tokens depending on your flair and creativity you would receive more tokens. It's a pity the coin never took off because i liked the idea behind it but it just never got listed anywhere apart from etherdelta and the dev stopped being active so it just faded away into obscurity.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTT SCAM ICOs LIST on: December 09, 2017, 12:17:41 AM
Good idea making this list OP. Not only scam ICO's but scam airdrops would be a good addition to it also. Out of the many airdrops i have applied for i received almost nothing from the majority of them which makes most of them scams also. They are actively phishing peoples names and wallet addresses so they can email us scam attempts to try and obtain all of our MEW private keys. I hope ion the future a lot of these scammers end up getting arrested and serve some serious jail time.
