161  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The economic danger of China and Taiwan war on: September 20, 2022, 08:43:06 AM
I don't think Xi is dumb enough to strike Taiwan currently when the world economy is heading towards recession. China could actually end up losing more when compared to Taiwan just like the Russia-Ukraine situation.

The Chinese government couldn't do jack when US sent over their politicians to Taiwan recently which itself implies that they are not really interested in starting a war with Taiwan.

That's what my fear is! China has recovered quite well from the effects of COVID, rather faster than many other countries. At the same time, Taiwan is known for semiconductor and electronics industry. So I won't be surprised if China actually plans to launch attack on Taiwan.

That might start a big war and lead to World War III. US president Joe Biden said that US will stand beside Taiwan if any war happens. So the impact on world economy will be devastating if it happens in reality. Bitcoin may get lucky among this turmoil.
Chinese government had already learned from the mistake Russia made and I don't know if they are ready to take the risk of crumbling there economy because of ordinary war. Chinese government will not allow such a mistake especially the Europe which is there main target when we talk about business to crumble the relationship they have with many NATO countries. China is not ready for this war and the chances of this war occuring is low.
Doubt China learn from Russia's mistake in their invasion of Ukraine. Worse, it could give China a case to study how the whole world is very fractured and divided. Sure, Ukraine got the support from US and Nato allies but only in non-direct ways like weapons, tanks, ammos,... but no troops whatsoever. This might be a lesson for China if they want to invade Taiwan since Taiwan is an island, if China could surround the Taiwan island and blockable all the incoming supplies from the US and its allies, stall enough time, you know.

Of course, if US and allies are willing to commit their troops to protect Taiwan island then this plan of China is not working, not enough in any way. A lot of things need to be considered here.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 20, 2022, 08:22:38 AM
Yes, the two teams are doing well in this season but I don't think Real Madrid can win this La Liga league title this season, because Barcelona has been impacted with many skills that will help them to defeat any strong teams in this season. Lewandowski has proven to their fans that he can handle his position very well to ensure the team achieve many goals in this tournament that will make them to achieve victory at the end of this tournament. I don't think, Real Madrid can still demonstrate like the way they demonstrated last season that made them to remain unbeatable, because their strikers are seriously lacking goals in this season.
Compared to the performance between Barcelona and Real Madrid i think it's almost equal even Madrid has slightly better because they can get 9 consecutive wins in all competitions and i have to say for race title both of team have equal chance to win the trophy indeed Xavi has been changed Barcelona far to better than last season but Madrid too quite stable under Ancelotti they weren't necessary to get more players but their new players can adapt quickly even now Madrid not only rely on Benzema for each matches but they still can able to win so for this season for race title we might to see between Barcelona and Madrid only
I think some people got way over their heads after Barcelona have some wins recently with its new lineup, Lewandowski, and media sensation news. They think Barcelona is untouchable now even tho Real Madrid is also strong in the La Liga this season. Tho I root for Barcelona cause of the way Xavi coach doing things to improve Barcelona, I still think the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid is even for both. Yes, Real Madrid's scoring ability is better than Barcelona but Barcelona's defense is better than Real.

you have my interest in the Eternal Fire team in the upcoming stage round for group D.

A big talent in a team is always an unstable force because CSGO as a whole is teamwork.  Even s1mple couldnt fix Liquid's problems when he joined them and he didnt integrate nearly well enough, no surprise he was a long way from home and so on for any giant talent I always forsee possible friction occurring within a team beneath the surface.   The astralis era seems to be over, I dont mind as we like less predictable results in betting surely.

9z should beat Furious right now.  Main reason I dont mind the Xantares move is that new team logo is awesome I need more of those, glitter and whatever other types they come up with to eclipse the long standing Katowice  holos of 2014

Theres alot more games tomorrow then today I think, need to decide on those havent quite yet.
Yeah, I agree with you about no matter how good a CS pro player is, he can't carry his whole team all time. This is also what I loved about CS. It was more about the team vs team, especially in the top-tier team. Shame that xantares back when he was at his peak, no Türkiye organization can form and keep a team around him to kick start the Türkiye CS scene. Have to let him go with BIG.

Past is the past. Glad to see both xantares and woxic in the same team now. Someone mentioned woxic makes me remember I dig woxic too back then for his very unique high sens setting even though he was an awper. Thanks to that high sens, he got some really insane highlights with 'no way you can pull that flick' by typical low sens setting from the other tier 1 awper. paz and major are ex-space soldier too.

@Pulsar77
Have a great hope on Eternal Fire here, guys. I want to ask, what's the average reception for the Eternal Fire team on the Türkiye side?
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CZ claimed Layer 2 isn't really needed yet on: September 19, 2022, 10:49:20 AM
Link where CZ said that Layer 2 isn't needed yet, timestamp of the video too. Cause I don't trust or think CZ would say something like that. It's up to the users to decide when the dev had to push for Layer 2 or not since the increase in demand or the overall goal and planning for that coin. Heck, I think I remember CZ BNB has something like zkBNB that is also Layer 2 as well.

What I want to say is you have to have some plan for Layer 2 in the future. Cause right now, the number of transactions is only a fracture of later where thousand of thousand people have to use the chain on the daily basis. From small value to big value transactions. If your coin truly wants to be the main currency for the future, you ought to have high TPS and scaling for a low fee.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 19, 2022, 10:32:26 AM
Arsenal returned to the top of the standings which had previously been temporarily captured by Manchester City and Tottenham, at first we would have thought Arsenal would get tough resistance from the Bees squad. However, Arteta's team were able to play aggressively from the early minutes of the game. as a result, the Gunners beat the Bees with a landslide score.

Next, Arsenal will host Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium. as usual, this match is getting tougher for Arteta's squad. but I believe Tottenham will be defeated by the Gunners in that match.
I didn't expect Arsenal to beat the team like Brentford, who beat Manchester united 4 -0 at home, and scored 5 goals against Leeds United, 3-0 without even putting them into position on their field. Arsenal are playing at a different level this year. A very important win. Arsenal is a very serious candidate for the top 3 this year. The players are young and have potential, as they play together, they will reach their potential and the team chemistry will settle. I think Jesus was one of the right names for Arsenal's system, and it was a lucrative deal for the player and the team. Saliba has returned from Marseille very ready and contributes well and reflects this in the score. Xhaka is playing like a real maestro this season. If Saka does not leave, he may be the most important player of this team. Despite his young age, he is also indispensable for the national team. Things are going well and I hope it stays that way. They'll probably be in a title race with City.
Manchester United lost 4-0 against Brentford was like a month ago, dude. It was early of the season and the lowest point for Manchester United with a lot of confusion around the main lineup. Eventually, the old coach of Manchester United left and ten Hag came in. Some shuffle and transfer then hola, Manchester United slowly improve and undo its old past, keep playing better and better each game.

That's why I think you're wrong for your asset on Brentford. That you made it like the Brentford team was something big and Arsenal was still able to take a win against it.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: What is regulations turning into on: September 19, 2022, 10:11:14 AM
Although we hate it, the real truth is there was no real decentralization or privacy practice either from exchanges or online wallet services like coinbase. Yes, there are full of regulations on the crypto space and it was the same in real life. Anyone of you here, can you buy alcohol without giving your driver's license in the US? Small details like that showed that both on-chain or off-chain, are still full of regulations and at some parts, we have to show our ID or KYC to get anywhere over the process.
When I saw Tornado Cash got sanctioned by the US, no surprise here.

You know, usually, countries try to get the right to host international events like World Cup as a way to boost their tourism. But for Qatar, they get it just to flex their power cause they have the money and FIFA, as I said, is in the 'money talk' mode right now.

I tried to make a point here so people would stop ridding on FIFA's c*ck and condemn Chile's case. I saw Chile have every right to take this to the higher count, to push and punish (or you could say to taint the FIFA name). A good way to remainder FIFA that they're built on people's trust, on the international value for football around the world. If they want to be a 'money whore' and cant keep their value and principle anymore. Their reputation might take a downturn and things like European Super League will pop up.

FIFA or any sports organization can't stop any country from bidding for having rights of hosting event because it's not allowed, so now problem is with Qatar is Islamic country and having their laws and system which is surely for their peoples and those are going into this country for visit or business all have to obey them, and surely we all know how things works now if they are not allowing few things which are against their will then surely we have to accept them as this event is just for 35 to 40 days and many peoples can manage for this time.

Other thing it's first time any Islamic country hosting this event just because of this many peoples like you are feeling frustrated and having no updates about this even now many YouTube and other social media channels are regularly doing things for them and spreading all updates which are important for stay and accommodations into this country.
I don't have any problem with Qatar being Islamic country. Their country, their rule, I understand that. But if strangers and tourists come to their country for an international event, there should be some leech way here. Because this is a chance to promote your country's tourism industry, not being an arse and flexing your power. Sort of "Yeah my country has a ban on this or that but since you're strangers come from far away, different ideology, religion and such, we'll be lax on you".

^^ Hah, I was wrong again. Grin
Heroic strike back 1-1 with their win at inferno map, beat Astralis 16-12. This is the moment of truth for Astralis. As you said, Complexity did its part. 2-0 over ENCE, they're now maybe in the 3rd spot if Heroic wins the Bo3 over Astralis.

Astralis have to decide its fate and spot for the playoff rounds in the map3, Nuke. Seems like there was a huge pressure at Astralis right now. While for Heroic, even if they lose to Astralis, as long as their round difference isn't behind Complexity, they still have a spot. All Astralis, Heroic and Complexity will have 3 wins and 2 losses but the round difference, Complexity has at the lowest so the other two take 2nd and 3rd spots, Complexity got bumped out.

Ah btw, Eternal Fire won 1-0 against Entropiq in Bo3 Final of ESL Challenger. Eternal Fire is right now completely destroying Entropiq 13-2 in the first half on Entropiq map pick, Overpass. No one can foresee that. The odd is 12 to 14 for Entropiq right now. Does anyone remember the odd for this map at the start?

^ Damn, Astralis beat Heroic on the Heroic map pick, Overpass. Tho they have to drag it to the OT rounds, Astralis still come out better and ended it with 19-17, securing the first 1-0 win on the Bo3. Next is inferno, I think Astralis can take this map easily because as everyone has know, Astralis is the king of the banana for ct sider in inferno map.

This is like the core of Astralis back in the Astralis era. If inferno is selected after the map ban/pick, a free win for Astralis there. Heroic aint doing great at inferno too. Maybe 2-0 and Astralis take the 2nd spot for the playoff after MOUZ 1st spot. Cant say anything about 3rd spot for this group stage, Complexity might have a chance here if they beat ENCE at a wide gap and Heroic loses but the rounds difference between Heroic and Complexity is still safe.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 18, 2022, 10:33:13 AM
Like many have said here. You approach it from the wrong angle. $10 isnt much so you see no point in it. But low odd bets have their charm cause it is considered to be a 'safe bet' that even though you won't earn much from 1.0x (x is a single digit), you are guaranteed to win it. A huge boon for people with a lot of money to bet, from $1,000 or up cause 1.05 of it is like ~5% or $50 free right there.

Some sportsbooks didn't like people to do it so they even close the betting if odds come to that low. Or games passed certain criteria for a comeback.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: More people now work in clean energy than in fossil fuels on: September 18, 2022, 10:15:26 AM
"Clean energy" isn't that clean and one-for-all solution to reduce fossil fuel if you know how tricky to make it work with the national power grid. For example, Solar energy only provides power on a sunny day and even its power load isn't fixed, very varies. Carry a risk of spiking your power grid hence you have to spend a lot of money on power stations and electric lines aka putting a burden on the grid.

Wind energy main concern is its wind blade waste which cannot be recycled. Mean you can only bury it under some landfill aka waste of land resource. Talking about land, both Solar energy and Wind energy require a lot of space for their solar panel and wind turbine to work. Basically, the trade-off for renewable energy isn't that great to push for a massive switch from fossil fuel source energy.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 18, 2022, 09:14:39 AM

Real Madrid will find it difficult to face Atletico Madrid because Carlo Ancelotti is not expected to include the injured Karim Benzema and Barcelona's 3-0 win over Elche FC could be a burden for Real Madrid in my opinion.

If you look at Atletico's several games, in fact, they are also not very good. But I think Atletico have a high motive if they meet Madrid. There is a prestige that they must win. So indeed the match will be quite difficult to predict.
Benzema's injury will probably dampen Madrid's strength. But I think they still have a midfielder ready to make goals. Because I also know they don't have a striker as good as Benzema for the time being. I hope Madrid are able to win and return to the top of La liga. Because at this time Barcelona has 1 point more than Madrid.
Atlético Madrid's goals per match statistic is only 1.80. Meanwhile, Real Madrid's goals per match are 3.00 of the games they have played and Atletico Madrid have kept 2 clean sheets.

You are right. What must be considered in the Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid match is the prestige contained in the derby can make the difference in this match.
Benzema's absence in my opinion also has no effect because Ancelotti still has two of his mainstays from Brazil, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.
But Atletico Madrid has an average of 0.8 conceded per match while Real Madrid has 1 conceded per match. All stats for this season. Sure Atletico Madrid doesn't score as much as Real Madrid but on the other hand, Atletico Madrid has a strong defensive line.
Tho Real Madrid is not in their ideal lineup but both clubs are in their top form now, I expect it'll be an interesting Madrid derby overall and the chances are even for both.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 18, 2022, 09:03:17 AM
Nottingham Forest lose again. Now 2:3 against FC Fulham, and that with a leading 1:0 at half-time. Both teams came back this season in the Premier League and Fulham is in a much better position. Nottingham need a win. They have spent + 160 million euros for new players. Now 4 defeats in a row for Nottingham, and in total they have lost 5 of 7 games. This doesn't look good.
Nottingham Forest lost to Fulham, I think that's the right thing because at the moment Fulham are much better in terms of quality.
however with Nottingham Forest's form costing them a fortune this season I think they have failed miserably, the Premier League has been fierce and Nottingham Forest don't seem ready for that any time soon. they are now getting worse and in the near future they will have to do many things that make them quickly get up so as not to fall behind and fall.
Nottingham Forest have only collected 4 points from 7 matches, it is very bad.
Nottingham are level on points with Everton and West Ham and with that said, I think it's only natural that Nottingham is still difficult to get into good form because basically they are not a rich team with a lot of money. Nottingham itself takes longer to return to the Premier League, although later Nottingham will be relegated again then that is not a problem either. Because teams that come back and play in the Premier League are not easy to defend but that way, at least they will continue to try to continue to fix their problems with the abilities they have.
Competition in the Premier League is getting tougher. if the club being promoted to the Premier League is not financially ready enough and the team, of course, will see it relegated again.

terrible and shocking performance for me from Leicester. I don't know what happened to the team. so they must be bottom of the table. because last season they performed not badly by finishing in the middle of the standings. but this season they look pathetic.
I say because of the confusion from covid that a lot of clubs earning isn't at they were before covid. This creates top league clubs' quality is a bit step back and some don't seem at their level for Premier League yet. We may need one or two seasons for clubs to back on their feet and finally get the right direction in finance to become decent for Premier League again.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: September 18, 2022, 08:44:59 AM

I'm sure Qatar will be very well prepared to curb any disorder that may occur during the FIFA World Cup event.
For fans who "can't keep their heads together" after taking a few sips of alcohol, I would recommend not even drinking beer when you go to the stadium, or you could have a bad experience in Qatar behind bars.
We will see what results we will have with this decision, but I am optimistic that the results will be very good and we will have a fantastic World Cup to remember.
When Qatar said it was ready to host the World Cup, at that time they were ready with what they had to do with all the consequences. I also believe that Qatar can be a good host, but I do not deny that there will always be incidents against their will. It is difficult of course to condition the number of spectators who will attend so that they can obey the rules that have been made.
It's so weird that a country with many restrictions on basic human rights gets to host the World Cup. Heck, Qatar even enforce its rule on the foreigners and tourists, people come to Qatar for the World Cup. Should a World Cup host country be a place of tolerant, natives willing to set aside their traditions, laws, and such for a good host?

"No, my country, my rules. If you have complaints, take it to FIFA". "Who care about international value or being a good host? I pay good money for FIFA to grant me this event and I can flex whatever power I've" Many of you here defend FIFA but the organization has become so shit nowadays.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: September 17, 2022, 04:48:26 PM
My cousins are farmers and they also been affected by the Russian war
They were very upset - and told us their crops are rotting in the store and the prices fell terribly down and there is nothing they can do to sell them at lower cost.
That is how we all have been affected by the war. Everywhere arround the world

In a war, it is always the common people who suffer. Transporting agricultural commodities such as wheat by rail or road doesn't make much sense, given their price per ton. So the only option is to transport them by sea. And in a war, both the sides would try as much as they can to reduce the revenue inflow for the other side. Ukraine, being dependent on exports of wheat and sunflower oil suffered as a result. Maybe once the war is over, the government will be able to build better storage facilities, which can store wheat for the long term.
Not just in war. After it too. It's always the common folks who become poorer under dramatic changes both in and after the war. Especially on the revenue since the business isn't like it was before the fight broke out. I don't know what you guy think about the fate of Ukraine after all of this war end. But for me, I feel a bit sad that a lot of things have been lost, lives have been lost, kids lack opportunities to go to school in and after the war. Time to rebuild everything all together, the money behind it. All under a country war-torn under bombs and mines.

There was a line in a song: "Even though we love rose, the enemy forces us to embrace gun". I know the sacrifice has to be made in war, to give up a lot of things to make it. Worth it or not, it's up to the Ukrainian to say. But you can't help to see the amount of burden it has done on the people.

Tonight's match between Astralis and ENCE will be interesting. Two of the old camp, used to stand at their pinnacle at the top #1 HLTV but now fighting for spots to the playoff rounds. konfig and Valde used to be a teammate and played under the North banner, always under Astralis thumb back in the Astralis era. Now both will meet each other under a different banner, konfig under Astralis and Valde under ENCE. So far, this group C seems on nearly the same level between teams.

Map pool wise, ENCE has a smaller map pool compared to Astralis. The odds for both teams are kinda even, 1.8 or around that. I think Astralis is a bit better here so weird that sportsbooks give such odds.

Sorry, re-correct my post. It's not like I didn't appreciate random blog posts from the OG club since it's kinda interesting to see things from that 30s boomer's perception (which I guess are the majority of the early adopter of Bitcoin) other than just crypto/stock/economic trends. A nice change away from just the red and green chart.

Between Barcelona and Real Madrid,I am having a big confusion over the both team finishing ontop of the league,I earlier said that Barca are more competent, but with what I'm seeing,it seems Real Madrid are trying to retain their tittle, and if care is not taking, they might still retain it because all the players have blended together and know each other's pattern of play, but Barca are still trying to select the best possible tactics to use for them to keep on winning till the season will be over.Lewandowski have solved their striking issues,
The season is still too young for us to know who the exact winner of La Liga between the 2 will be (Yes, it's quite clear that it's already a two-horse race which could go to the last weeks of the competition)

I am still routing for my favourite team, Real Madrid  Wink

@Lordhermes Real Madrid are definitely the favourites for now but things may change once the World Cup begins, and if any of their star player’s come back injured then that could probably derail their season.

@JeromeTash Xavi is building a team for the long run and even if they fall short this season then too that will be fine, but what matters to me is that he should bring back the winning mentality and the fear factor that Barcelona once had at least by the end of this season.
Xavi is playing the long game here, had to agree with you on that. I dig your idea where Barcelona can't just turn to the top dog, invincible, every stone is ready in just a few seasons with Xavi leading. For now, we did see how Xavi's planning for Barcelona is going in a good direction. I say the winning mentality is there, just nothing proud to brag about it. If you fail, it'll come back and bite you so no need for that, yet.

Finally the game can restart, I hope every club is ready with all the possibilities that happen and the performance of all teams is in good condition. Man City is ready to make a collection of more points to continue to secure its position to shift Arsenal. With a difference of 1 point, it is not difficult for this one club because in the last few matches, Man City can certainly win.
After a very long time to take a rest and that's great to see that if season will be starting very soon again. So many times have been fully prepared for the upcoming match. Menchester city was always showing a good performance during the champion league. im sure man city can make it to the at least quarter final or even final. The composition from the team is strong enough against another strong team like real madrid. Manchester city will collect another point easily for the upcoming match.
City will against wolves which is a very easy team even with diego costa and it can do nothing.
Perhaps no one plans to see a decent resistance Wolverhampton against Manchester City. Although this season from the very beginning was full of unforeseen events on the football field, the upcoming match is unlikely to be like that. I think Wolverhampton will only face defeat and I guess many people agree with me. It can be assumed that this will be a warm-up for Manchester City before the meeting with Manchester United, which will be played after. It will be more interesting here and Manchester City will not win as easily as against Red Devils.
Everyone's expectations for this season have to be readjusted. Your dream team winning easy matches, stepping-stone team lay down without a fight, underperformance for a top team,...
We've seen how in the early of the season where Arsenal has exceeded everyone's expectations for them to drop out a couple of matches. While teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea seem like the top dog slowly degrade their status. Maybe because of the covid and line-up shuffle, some players aint reliable like they were before. Too much time off-season so they ain't feel the ball like it was before.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: September 17, 2022, 09:16:07 AM
If you have general outlines of why it going to increase the price then I advise you should do future trade instead of just buying low and selling high. Honestly, if you can manage your risk of liquidating, go for lower than 5x leverage and never more, your return of profit from future trade will be much better.
Buying low and selling high only when you don't know if it will bound back in the short term. Basically, you're holding on the long term.
