DeepOnion. The community is great and once the airdrops are distributed the value will rise.

usually the price goes down after an airdrop...

got in today at a decent price  Grin looking forward to this year with the CXO team
I feel you man! CargoX will be an interesting project. Great news about the kucoin listing. Kucoin is a very good exchange in my experience.

Yup, if it weren’t for Kucoin I probably wouldn’t have bought it - so many exchanges, getting tired of signing up lol

EDIT: despite being an ERC20 token, CXO is not nearly as affected by the scalability problems of ETH - reason being; as outlined in the RM and WP it usually takes a week to transfer a Bill of Laden, therefore CXO has a lot of wiggle room and as long as the ETH network takes less than a week to process, we're golden  Cool

164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: February 08, 2018, 08:17:06 AM
today i've taken a small position in CargoX (CXO) and QLINK (QLC)

CXO - Bill of Laden shipping documents on blockchain - will help cut logistical costs for the shipping industry and so forth..

QLINK - decentralized mobile network, has a prototype of station and will eventually have car companies install them to provide wifi/4g coverage

So i was testing out the CPU wallet mining on my old 2012 Macbook Pro laptop (Intel i5 2.5Ghz 2 core)

2 cores - roughly 50 h/s - eventually it heats up alot and becomes slow doing anything else.

1 core - roughly 40 h/s - but you can still lightly use your laptop without loading it down (web browser, etc)

this is probably due to the Cache being only 3Mb - for those of you who don't know, you divide your cache by 2 to determine the number of cores/threads to use (i think i got that right Roll Eyes)

- 2 cores got me 5 ITNS per 24-36hr period
- 1 cores got me 5 ITNS per 24-36hr

so if anyone is still using an old laptop like mine, lower your cores to 1 if you want to be able to google stuff or listen to music while CPU mining.

i know 5 ITNS/24hrs might seem ridiculous to some of you ITNS miners, but i just thought id share anyways

question is not only about outcome you've got ) , have you calculated electricity cost for that experiment?

i don't have a reading regarding wattage from my laptop - but the charger is 85W, my area is roughly 13.5c per kWh, so about $0.28 per day - if we assume peak power is 60W then that brings it down to $0.20 per day

- right now it doesnt feel like it is at max wattage, and i read somewhere that on average mac book pros of my year use about 12-18w with light basic use and about 30W when computing - if we assume 30W then it is $0.10 per day.

Regardless, not really worth it unless you mine for the future, and even then...

167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: February 07, 2018, 07:07:08 PM
Elastic would be better with more marketing and more exchanges but faster coding process and more team members are required before all else. The project has been going slowly for months. Many XEL owners (not investors) sold their coins accordingly.

team members do not care for pump and dump. they want to create a good technology not based on monetary gain like other projects. xel will grow at a slow pace because of dedicated devs and it does not matter what anyone else thinks. satoshis vision was not to gain money.

buy the tech, not the marketing - besides, XEL is not complete yet, the marketing will come once there's a product to put on the market. lol

idk... looks like they had a rough start in the ICO

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2069043.msg25792159#msg25792159

theres like 3 different ANN pages. theres also a lot of competition that will eventually look to do the same (get rid of arbitrage)

I think the biggest news to come out of that hearing is that the CTFC Chairman's Niece HODLs Bitcoin  Grin

subbed

my hidden gem is ITNS (intense coin) - i know, silly name, will be rebranding shortly

it is a privacy coin AND a VPN network backed by blockchain, monero code base, POW/POS - POS will allow you to be an exit node, earning you ITNS for doing so.

Guys, should we wait for nova to open deposits, or should we apply for stocks.exchange? Recently, they got stable again and I think they still ask for 0.12 BTC listing fee (which, by today stabndards, is pretty low).

apply for stocks exchange - i might be willing to contribute some btc if needed

Delaware Blockchain Initiative

Wyoming Blockchain coalition

other countries will look at the US on how to deal with blockchain

the ball has only started rolling, q1 2018 will be rough, but once the regulatory uncertainties pass, i think it'll be a great year for blockchain
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: February 05, 2018, 08:34:58 PM
Dev is not active for almost 3 days since 3rd of February. I don't know what to say when I was asking simple questions and no one answered.

First fail of road map Q1 and Q2 still not achieved. They have made an update on 1st of February still nothing of an update. No news no nothing.
Second I asked in the begging you can see my comments, why they have pictures used from the old Bytecoin website?

The team have no transparency no nothing. To be honest this project is not a joke and can not be completed with only 4 people developing and 1 person in the community updating rarely from time to time.
From the start I thought this project was not serious seeing their announcement even tho they have written everything perfect and of course their idea is awesome.

I don't know guys something smells fishy about this, or maybe because of the massive drop there is stagnation of time even from the developers. I hope ITNS will get the price that had.
I know the whole market is falling down and of course every coin will fall in price when BTC and ETH are falling massively.

Wish you all the best to all big investors and just HODL, maybe everything will get back to normal, but I am being skeptic at this very moment what is happening, especially when the roadmap is not fulfilled as they promised.
Hope the devs will show sign of life when is the biggest fall of every coin to give everyone little hope.

they update every 2 weeks

update january 19th https://intensecoin.com/2018/01/19/intense-rebases-to-monero/

february 3rd was a saturday, maybe Devs took a couple days off? go out with the wiffey, hang with the kids, man you need to chill with your fud, just buy a little more during this dip.

177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When the green flag drops........ on: February 03, 2018, 08:47:15 AM
you pick several sectors

coins with use cases
- cloud storage
- cloud computing
- blockchain invoice
- Sensor Technology backed by blockchain
- IoT
- and many more

if no use - its a currency/store of value i.e bitcoin
what makes it special? low supply? fast transactions? low fees? POS or POW? or both? do miners like the coin? what mining algos? etc..
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [KMD] Komodo speculation on: February 02, 2018, 04:13:31 AM

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: ELIXIR (ELIX) Crowdfunding, Lending and Payments Platform on: February 01, 2018, 06:47:26 PM
"The token manager will need a few modifications to handle ELIX and produce the upcoming rewards token, dubbed “Token P.” We’ve already created a prototype contract for Token P. Afterwards, we anticipate conducting the same type of automated testing on the token manager contract."

Thanks for the update! Is Token P is what the novaexchange people will be getting in compensation? Is there any indicator or way to control what the starting price will be? Assuming it will be on par with what the present Elix Tokens...

ie.

John bought 1000 TME tokens that got stuck on Nova. 1000 Elix tokens now at present day vlaue (0.50 USD) are now valued at $500. If "Token P" is 1 cent a coin we would get $500/0.01 = 50,000 "Token P".

Compensation for TME, which was frozen on Novaexchange was made a long time ago, and Dev gave a lot of time for this. Why were not you interested in ads, did not follow the project and did not exchange TME, then, when everyone did it? Secondly, TME exchanged for ELIX, for no new "Token P." it should not be exchanged. If you did not make the exchange on time, then who is to blame? Besides, it's not Dev that included TME in the listing on Novaexchange, it was done by the community through voting. Make claims to Novaexchange for the fact that they can not work with ERC20 tokens. Dev paid for the ELIX listing on Coinexchange. So it's just not appropriate to ask such a question about TME and also to include such figures, so that you are paid 50 times more for new tokens for a dead token. I am against any compensation to those who have TME. If a person has not exchanged for half a year, when Dev has exerted so much effort to help the victims, then this person is to blame. Also, I know that these tokens have been unfrozen for a long time on Novaexchange. Can you buy TME for pennies and now want to exchange it? Now there is a delisting TME on December 10, 2017. So you just would like to exchange TME, which you do not know where from. I remember lottereumdev bought TME here for its LTE 1000:1 tokens. Maybe you bought 20 million TME for 0.000000000000000001 sat?

Where have you been the last few months? The irony in your post is that you are blaming us for missing an announcement in the past, but you yourself must have also missed month's worth of discussion about this more recent compensation:) ElixerDev has already started a process for this when Nova finally unlocked their wallets. They had us give them our NovaExchange login credentials and they logged in as us to verify when we purchased TME and that we didn't try to accumulate more after the wallets became unlocked. They had us all create a new MEW wallet address and give it to them for future compensation. There are only about 20 of us. At the time they had planned of doing another conversion (kind of like Exor to Elix again) and dealing us back in, but they have since decided to stick with Elix. Some of their last posts on the matter suggested compensating via the future reward token which I am assuming "Token P" is.

This is where ElixerDev started the process back on Nov 28th:

@fastfalcon94

Just sent you a PM. We're going to look into this and try to take care of this for you. Anyone else who has reached out, please resend your PM so it's at the front of my inbox. We recognize that if the project becomes much more valuable it would be a shame to miss out.

ElixirDev on November 27, 2017, 05:27:42 PM

Then there are no questions. But why have not you received compensation when more than two months have passed?

Because the devs said it would happen pretty much when the app is ready and the mining function is up (new token P)
