161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH can reach 1500 in this year?? on: July 11, 2018, 02:45:43 PM
ETH has seen its good days and bad ones as well. But there is no doubt it has been very strong in terms of price and market cap. Ripple took the second spot in CMC once but ETH fought back and is now sitting on its number 2 spot once again. As for $1500, Eth will reach this price and even exceed it. All it needs is time and the bulls support.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH, Dash and Ripple which to invest in? on: July 11, 2018, 02:41:18 PM
IMO, ETH is your best bet because it has more potentials and it has made its mark on the crypto sphere. New startups build their tokens on The ETH blockchain and this is a big plus. Also, ETH has an ATH of $1200 and is currently sitting at $420-$460 and this IMO is a good entry point.
DASH on the other hand should be the next option as it is among leading privacy coins. Its potentials are limited but during a bull run, it makes good price movements and could be profitable if you make the right entry.

As for ripple, i dont see anything special about it and it is decentralized; which is the main reason i dislike ripple. But you can buy some and hold. You have seen the ATH, it can pull off something in the future.

Conclusion:
If you want to invest, diversification should be applied. 60% into ETH,  25% into DASH and the remainder into XRP and other altcoins. No offence , Ripple lovers Wink.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptocurrencies vs world cup on: July 11, 2018, 02:29:19 PM
For some reason i like this question Grin

Although, i don't think the world cup affects the price of bitcoin and altcoins as there is no possible relationship or affiliation between the two subjects in question.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is still legit? on: July 11, 2018, 08:07:06 AM
ICOs are popping up daily but most of them dont achieve what they planned to achieve due to understandable circumstances and also, there are also ICOs that are out to run away with investor's money.

But amidst these Categories, there are legitimate ICOs that have a peculiar project, a working product, an experienced team and a good use case for its token.
This should be what you should look out for. Peace Wink
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH or LTC long term? on: July 11, 2018, 08:02:47 AM
I'm glad i stumble on these posts as they show that the future is the answer. Ethereum not going anywhere ?
We have seen that it has gotten somewhere and brought us the next generation blockchain(blockchain 3.0).

I look at possible usecases of a coin before investing and i haven't seen anything peculiar about LTC. No new technology, no new upgrade from its initail inception; LTC has just been stagnant. I just see LTC as a replica of bitcoin.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Ethereum on: July 11, 2018, 07:54:43 AM
You must have seen the capabilities of ethereum. The creation of smart contracts, token interface etc. There is no shred of doubt that ethereum will be the basis on which businesses adopt crypto technology. Also, it has an all time high of $1200 and we all know how fast the crypto markets can move. Now will be the best time to invest into Ethereum and should be for long term.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: July 11, 2018, 07:49:34 AM
I was a miner in the early days. I got a lot of bitcoin and Ethereum through mining, but I sold 150 bitcoins and 1000 Ethereum in the sale of Bitcoin 310 US dollars Ethereum 10 dollars. This is my most. Regretful thing

This very painful. I aslo was able to gather some bitcoins and ethereum with faucets but sold early. If only we could time travel or see tbe future. But we should use the past to predict the future
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: July 11, 2018, 07:47:05 AM
I've had a lot of bad experiences and i regret most of them.

I bought neo in 2017 below $1 and sold at $3 and afterwards, it went to $40. I regret this with all my heart.
I bought ethereum at $1 and sold at $10
I bought about 10 bitcoin when it was $300 and wasted it all on ponzi schemes. What if i held till now... Would have been rich.

But i saw these bad experiences as a lesson and though they were painful, but they taught me important lessons that i can't forget quickly.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: July 11, 2018, 07:03:56 AM
The decentralized aspect if bitcoin shows a clear image that explains why bitcoin isn't a ponzi scheme. Ponzi is only profitable to the early birds and it is not very sustainable. Bitcoin has been here since 2009 and even without an owner, it has sustained itself from then till date. No Ponzi scheme can pull that off.

There are many more reasons why they shouldnt be compared but I'll rest my case.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Property? What might be the best investment? on: July 11, 2018, 06:54:07 AM
I cant beleive  i missed the previous discussion. Investing in bitcoin tops the list for me. It is much more cheaper and can be more lucrative if given time.

Instead of leaving my money in the bank and keep receiving peanuts as interests, I'll invest into bitcoin and reap more both short and long term.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hype Has Barely Even Begun on: July 11, 2018, 06:48:44 AM
I believe that the hype has barely even begun. Only 1 percent of the global population owning any cryptocurrency and news of banks and financial institutions looking incorporate blockchain technology and invest in cryptocurrencies; I think there will be a more mainstream adoption in the coming 18-24 months.

I was busy thinking that the percentage of people in the world was above 10%. Wow for an infant technology, with just 1% of the world's population, Yet it has achieved this much hype.

What happens when another 1% adds to this stellar technological innovation, then we will look for a word higher than hype because the hype will be massive. I'm in for the long term and I am proud to be among the 1% of people using bitcoin.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a goverment trace you have BTC? on: July 11, 2018, 06:39:43 AM
Bitcoin uses cryptographic technology and this makes it near impossible to track its tracks. Bitcoin wallets are not tied to the identity of anybody neither is it tied to a particluar location. So this alone will guarantee maximum anonymity and more privacy.

Algernatively, you can move to coins that have more privacy like Dash, Verge, Monero, Pivx etc. These coins guarantee more privacy and  they are not traceable.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN is FUTURE !!! on: July 11, 2018, 06:33:03 AM
I agree with you, Bitcoin is the future.

The capabilities of bitcoin alone will see it eliminate traditional banking systems and this will be the turning point for bitcoin.

If those guys are shilling, I support them still because they are shilling the future and creating an important awareness that will help individuals tap into the future NOW.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: July 11, 2018, 06:28:44 AM
Bitcoin is still a new technological innovation. Less than 20% of the entire population of the world have started using it maybe because of its very volatile. But as soon as more people know about it, say 50% of the population and it achieves stability, then its going to be used as a currency as well.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Government bans Bitcoins? on: July 11, 2018, 06:21:12 AM
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency on its own.. If eventually , the government bans it(which is not likely), then usage will shift from bitcoin to other cryptocurrencies. We have coins that has proved to be better at performance than bitcoin and this will be the alternative if bitcoin gets banned. Unless they(the government) will ban the internet as well.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can lightning network help Bitcoin? on: July 11, 2018, 06:16:13 AM
Lightening network was made to help bitcoin fix its scability issues. We have seen how high transaction fees for bitcoin can go and how long transactions can take to confirm. But with lightening network, the block size of bitcoin will increase and it can process more transactions per second ensuring that transactions confirm faster. Also, fees for sending bitcoin will reduce drastically.

This is how lightening network will help bitcoin.

179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the relation of Bitcoin with Blockchain? on: July 08, 2018, 08:59:43 AM
Your post is not lucid. Just as  a petrol or diesel powers automobiles , thats the case with bitcoin as well.

Blockchain powers bitcoin by being the underlying technology that records, processes and validates all transactions done with the bitcoin. Maybe i am not clear enough but google is your best bet to get a more detailed explanation of the relationship between bitcoin and blockchain. Peace Smiley
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoins valuable? on: July 08, 2018, 08:44:04 AM
Bitcoin is a good store of value. Instead of keeping fiat in the bank and keep receiving near-zero monthly inyerests, I invest in bitcoin and watch my money increase with every uptrend. Bitcoin is an asset, the only difference is that it is digitized. Get in now, those that haven't.
