You're right, ignoring the fact that SP is actually offering preorders and promises and the fact that their in stock hw is way overpriced. Even bitmain is overpriced now that they stopped lowering the price.

What do you consider overpriced (in terms of $/GH)?

No problem David.  As you can see we are eagerly waiting news.  We are also scared Sad    So many people saying bad things like scam.  Some of us took loans to buy this product.  Others had some savings that they used.  We were all hoping to be mining and make some of our money back by now.

Anyway, here's hoping for some good news and regular updates in the near future

There is a small bit of sad news if you can call it that.
Todays update will be a bit late (late tonight or early tomorrow morning). Nothing to be worried about. With all the things happening at the moment nobody had time to sit down and write it yet. However we will do our best to get it up soon
164  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 04, 2014, 02:02:57 PM
Please be patient. The next week is coming...  Grin

I dont get it.. next week comes every week

It's been a week.  Could we have our refunds please?
166  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 02, 2014, 04:25:14 PM
You guys are hilarious.  There is nothing wrong with them running test units as long as they are not running these on a massive scale.
I am sure that this is a "lost in translation" issue.  They obviously mean they are not hashing on customer units.  OBVIOUSLY they have to hash with the prototypes!

Do you want to receive a unit that fails after 1 day of hashing?

Anyway whats the point of all these accusations anyway?  They won't help anything.
167  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: May 29, 2014, 04:48:09 PM
Thats good that some progress is coming.

Just to make it clear.  We customers don't care about LCD as long as the unit hashes.  Most of these units are going to sit in some dungeon, someone's basement, or in some datacenter, where nobody will be looking at them.   It doesn't need any of these gimmicks.

In other news, alpha-t decides to work on the important features and decides to drop LCD, wireless, and other non-essential features.  I think they are making the right decision.

KnCMiner Neptune to start delivering next month.  3TH per unit, and then another 3TH one month after to their first batch customers.

Soniq, my fellow Canadian, could we please have an update?   I think we are not asking for anything unreasonable.

I did invest a significant amount with you on trust and so far nothing good has come out of it.
My own personal Cointerra miner which I received at the same time as you did has generated about 10.51529053 BTC thus far.
Not bad for a $6,325.48 USD investment.  You can say its reached break even already, or nearly there.

Now on the other hand, you have been a very bad manager for this group buy.  You have not been updating us on a timely manner.
You decided to abandon the project when it wasn't going well for you by having a secret ballot.
Now you are not giving us our refund from the monies earned.

What's up with this?

Let me tell you this terraminer is a power hungry noisy beast. It requires two full circuits to run.  It's noisy like hell (unlike KncMiner Jupiter and Saturn)..
171  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: April 08, 2014, 08:10:28 PM
Soniq, why not sell on ebay??

They are going for a much higher price
http://www.ebay.ca/sch/Computer-Components-Parts-/175673/i.html?_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_nkw=terraminer

$7000, $10000....
I sold my old Avalon ASIC on there and had no issues
172  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: April 06, 2014, 12:56:03 AM
Soniq now has negative trust showing on his profile.  Now nobody will bid on those items, or even worse, we will get a very bad price for them

Soniq
Trust: -4: -1 / +0(0)
Warning: Trade with extreme caution!
173  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: April 05, 2014, 04:30:46 AM
Would probably get a much better price selling on eBay. They can be listed as is,  no refunds, so don't have to deal with that 45 day paypal policy.

Hey DZ,

Good luck with the exams and job search :-)
Just ignore the trolls under the bridge.

Thanks for the update, we really appreciate all the hard work!
It's too bad it didn't work out for all and we all got filthy rich but hey we tried right :-)

if you could post a small update say every 2 weeks that would be great,  even if it's "no news yet".

New firmware available
I tried it, seems good so far, averaging around 1.6 TH/s

03/24/14 Firmware 0.7.6 MD5: B2250250EB6EDFF1E2D85B9C3B4E0974

 - The TerraMiner’s MAC address is now displayed in the web Control Panel page footer.

 - Added Identify On/Off option to physically locate TerraMiner by flashing CTR1 LED orange.

 - Added Restart System option to the Configuration screen to reboot the TerraMiner.

 - Fixed potential issue affecting some units which were showing lower-than-nominal performance at the pool.

 - Updated CGMiner to version 4.1.0.

 - Miscellaneous code fixes.

Honestly I don't think these shouts of scam scam are beneficial.  If you have something concrete to ask please go ahead.  The reality is that all the cards are in soniq's hands and we can't do much at the moment.

Soniq, if you would please respond to the questions above regarding hosting payments.  This is not a very good way to do business
177  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: March 14, 2014, 03:16:52 AM
Also, Soniq, could I ask, why would you pay for 6 months hosting up front?

Almost all the datacenters I talked to bill monthly.

178  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB]Terraminer IV #5, Coinsortium on: March 14, 2014, 03:01:41 AM
No dividend payments have been made yet as there is approx 3.3 BTC generated total  to date. The hosting payment which I made in full for 6 months hosting (17.6 BTC) needs to paid,  and approx $1300 in duties paid upon delivery of the miners needs to be paid before any payments are made.

Okay so we are well on track for the hosting to be paid and duties to be paid. When do you expect our first payments to start?

Also, could you please post the invoices for hosting that you have paid?

Thanks

I am finding this latest update seems to be a slight improvement in hashrate, from 1.55 TH to 1.6TH

New firmware!
You can find Firmware 0.6.48 here http://cointerra.com/firmware-downloads
Will post my findings once I get a chance to try it
