162  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: March 14, 2018, 03:55:27 PM
So I joined a signature campaign and they removed JR. Member bounties. Now I am having a problem on how to be a Member ranked. I just learned that I need 10 merits to have a member rank. So to any JR. Member here, let's do our best to make quality content so that someone will recognize our efforts in making our community better.

If anyone can provide a link to people giving merits after doing something good or productive please give link so I can earn merits not by asking people but because of my effort and for JR. Members to have a reference too.

Thank you so much. Have a nice day  Smiley
Check for opportunities. I saw this threat recently. I didn't see on time to have joined in submitting post but it sure exist.

163  Other / Meta / Re: Merits for Constructive Opinion on: March 14, 2018, 03:45:28 PM
Hi folks! I am certain that my opinions through my posts are indeed constructive and viable to some members. I am stuck at Junior Member rank. I'm still posting enough to add it to my activity but it seems I'm never gonna rank up. Could anyone help me rank up? I'm certainly not begging but I want to share more important notes and points regarding cryptocurrency usage but it seems I will have to reduce the value of my posts because of these. Can anyone share their merits? For the future of sharing to newbies also? Thank you guys.
You need to be active in this board to lookout for opportunities like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3046992.0,

Since you believe you write very well, you should lookout for these members that are looking for posts to review and reward merits. It will be better than lamenting.
164  Other / Meta / Re: How to increase Merit? on: March 10, 2018, 05:38:30 AM
Been inactive for awhile and I was pumped up to rank up my member status from Member to Full Member by increasing number of my posts. When it meet the requirements, I was surprised that we need additional Merits to rank up our position. I think it is really good to eliminate negative posts to help the community growing up. Now the question is how to increase Merit? Is Merit trading allowed?
To get merits is to make quality posts. Certainly I will be surprised if merit trading is allowed.
A new trend is starting in meta, where Seniors calls for quality posts where they can review and award merits. Lookout for such opportunity who knows you can get some.
165  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is negative trust working? on: March 10, 2018, 05:31:01 AM
I see so many of the users of the forum who are having negative trusts getting accepted into bounty campaigns! Most of the campaigns do not allow users with negative trust to enroll in their campaign but there are some which do not follow this rule. Shouldn't the users with negative trusts be not allowed to set up signatures of any kind from the forum's end itself ?

To ensure that trust actually works and means something, shouldn't the campaigns which accept participants of negative trust be not allowed on this forum?

Ideally, managers that accept negative trust members should receive negative trust themselves.  :/
And how about managers with negative trust managing bounty?
166  Other / Meta / Re: 17 Merits to give to Quality Posters on: March 10, 2018, 05:16:52 AM
First of all, thanks to actmyname that inspired me making this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3046992.0

I have sitting merits on my account for months now I'm not active enough to give my merits to good posters so I decided to make this thread to make things easier.
If you judge yourself a good poster please post below this thread,I will review your posts and decide if you deserve getting merits or not

There will be 2 winners, The first will get 12 merits second will get 5 merits.

Good luck!
This is a noble gesture. It is the best thing to happen to members yarning for merit points to upgrade. I wish more seniors will adopt this strategy too.

Thank you Aveatrex.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: March 09, 2018, 08:38:54 AM
Some people invest some if not all of thier asset in bitcoin. They are lured by its growing up value its equivalent to fiat currency but is bitcoin really safe and secure.? What do you think.,
The safety of bitcoin is in your hands. Keep your wallet information safe. Follow all security features the site say you should do and keep your login in details safe. Bitcoin is secure in that nothing is threatening the existence of bitcoin. The issue with bitcoin is the issue of control not it's existence. So I strongly believe bitcoin is secure.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the price be stable? on: March 09, 2018, 08:27:58 AM
I remembered watching a video about bitcoins and the simple information that a beginner can understand. It says that bitcoin only has the maximum of 21 million bitcoins and 17 or 18 million has been mined.

What would happen if the very last block were mined? Will the value of bitcoin finally be stabilized?
I think this is the very reason why smart people are buying and holding on to their bitcoin. The exhaustion of mined bitcoin does not mean extinction. Rather it in the hands of 'merchants'. The price of bitcoin will skyrocket because there will be hoarding.
169  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who will stop Lauda ? on: March 07, 2018, 08:02:29 PM
Nobody can punish the punisher. I have heard a lot of negative about Lauda, but I doubt that the advice about giving her negative trust will succeed, because of in the case that if it would be possible this person would be out of the forum long time ago.
Right to the point. Quarreling Launda is actually proving him/ her right for giving you a negative trust.  I would make more sense for you to calmly explain your point and avoid insults and quarreling.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: CryptoCurrency or CryptoAsset on: March 07, 2018, 10:05:18 AM
So what is your solution for bitcoin to have a stable price? For decentralized systems it is very difficult to manage a price or even highly unlikely. But anyway I agree with you if bitcoin works more as cryptoasset not as cryptocurrency, because it happens to me, prefer to make it as an investment and trading tool in appeal for a payment.
Bitcoin cannot yet have a stable price. It has not got to its peak. At present, there is still at the formative days, with blockchain technology continuously being explored more and more. Until that time when bitcoin has and blockcain has achieved its optimum usability, it will continue to be an asset.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion on: March 07, 2018, 09:56:05 AM
Does Bitcoin Need The Social Media's Help To Promote Itself?

Well, Bitcoin needs all the help that we can get. With its current situation, Bitcoin Foundation is just thinking out of the box to help Bitcoin recover and might even succeed.

With the help of Social Media, bitcoin can attract new and young users. Learn about bitcoin and eventually adopt it.

Maybe this is the first step of mass adoption.

What do you think?
The bitcoin awareness is increasing daily. Mass media promotion is on. The real issue is the volatility. On daily basis, there is something said about bitcoin across all social media platforms. This will continue for as long as bitcoin lives.
172  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is the best thing that happened to new users on: March 05, 2018, 10:34:01 AM
I agree with you that the merit point is good for the forum. It is equally good for the users. It is not only for the new users but for everyone. There are older users who cannot rank up because of the introduction of the new merit system. Reason being that they have ranked up substantially before this introduction.

So overall, it is good for everybody.
173  Other / Meta / Re: Merits should be given for the lower ranks only. on: March 05, 2018, 10:19:35 AM
Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary do they need a merits? These rank should be exempted on merits systems instead they are the one who will judge the lower ranks by giving merits.

These could benefit the forum members as a whole;

1. Newbies that work as a spam will be controlled.
2. It will give an opportunity those newbies that really working hard to rank up in fair time.
(I saw a lot merits just given to the the higher ranks which a post is not really worthy of a merit. majority of the merits just dwell in their realm. Lower
    ranks just gets the crumbs)
3. Merits will be distributed fairly to the lower ranks because higher ranks will not think of their merits anymore.

'Hope this post can get crumbs.'
I suggest theymos look into this suggestions.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3066432.0

It will offer some other avenue to earn merits in addition to the present system.
Or Legendary and Hero members can adopt this system to improve reviews of what is worthy of meriting.

 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3046992.0

This is in a bid to keep the forum strengthened.
174  Other / Meta / Re: 14 merit bonus for quality users [Jr to Sr. Member] on: March 05, 2018, 09:51:51 AM
If you believe that you have quality posts for all 20 of your most recent posts then I will review them and if I agree I will give you 14 merit.
Sr. Members and below only.

However. if I heavily disagree I will add a neutral feedback to your account indicating that you are a spammer.
Game on. This is for those that complain about not being rewarded for quality content.

Disclaimer: I will only review the twenty posts that occur before your message.

*arbitrary amount is because of the sMerit I have left.

Please, don't send me merit. If you have merit to spare then give it to those that need it. Or save it, and in the likely case that there are more people here that deserve merit than I have available, you can send them the merit instead.
I applaud your step to help us get merit points to grow. If more Legendary members do this, the complaints will greatly reduce. Now I am sure of someone to review my posts.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] OTPPAY - BOUNTY & AIRDROP = 12 MILLION TOKENS on: March 03, 2018, 02:28:28 PM
I joined the signature campaigns. Best of campaigns.
176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's a token ? on: February 19, 2018, 08:28:17 PM
Airdrop is a bonus given to subscribers of a token. It could be given before, during or after an ICO campaign. 2018 is looking to be the Airdrop year.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: February 19, 2018, 08:23:30 PM
The future is cashless. Seamless transactions.
178  Other / Meta / Re: Guide to earning merits on: February 09, 2018, 02:51:05 PM
The process of getting a merit is almost arbitrary. You have to appeal to some one you don't known because of your comments on the topic. So I agree when you say a good knowledge of the topic is key.

Desperation of forum members to rank up is creating anxiety. Reason why tension is building up especially when ordinarily it is time to rank up but you don't have enough merit to do so.

Your points worth consideration.
179  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 04, 2018, 05:50:52 PM
This merit system introduced is a novelty. However, leaving the score in the hands of the general members will bring controversies. And it has started generating controversy. I will suppose that just the appointed persons be responsible for merit score.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If bitcoin is gone will the other coin survive? on: February 04, 2018, 05:27:15 PM
The easiest coin to convert cryptocurrency to fiat is bitcoin. That is why anything that happens to bitcoin affects the others. Other cryptocurrencies are heavily relying on bitcoin.
