10% discount ... absolutely wrong move - they should finally close orderbooks  Angry

no one will see break even - they have it in their hands and still spoil it - is it so hard to think 2 months ahead goddamn  Angry Angry

Even if KnC were to stop taking orders, do you think Hashfast, Bitfury, Avalon etc would do the same? This is a race between vendors, and the customers are the victims. Its just the nature of this market.

Right now they rule the market and could do it. First close order books and sort out their current problems instead of selling more - this is what their Network Protection Statement was for in first place. They now give away responsibility and rely on the judgement of buyers - haha omg  Embarrassed

Nevertheless - I follow your argumentation of competition and free market. I will have a seat, grab beer & popcorn and enjoy the shitstorm when people realize that ROI is max. 60-70% beside maybe some lucky day 1/2 orders - will be fun to watch - desaster could have been prevented  Cool

Day 1 #189 Hosted Paid (edit 3:46pm) June 3..... Nothing

Day 1 #5# Hosted and also nothing.
Did someone got any hosting info during yesterday and they told in the news?

Not that I've seen.  Their news post stated that some would be receiving an email 'today'.  I'm guessing if you didn't then nobody did.

I dont get that one - they stated in their news yesterday data center is up and running fine now!?

Anyone with day2 shipping seen a sign of their orders in production yet?
And anyone here with confirmed hashing on wallet address given for hosting?

I have a June 4 order, paid June 5, supposed day 2 delivery, but still "paid". Order # in high 800's...

There are people in 20xx range with status "in progress" - I would start to worry in your case

Like I've said in a few speculation threads (so far my diff projections have been almost spot on), I'm pretty sure we are only on the brink of rise. It will be vertical for quite awhile. It will plateau eventually, but people even with the large machines, will feel the struggle just to churn out what block erupters are doing today.

Hehe - I will have a look at your thread - but KnC was the 'black swan' for most models including my own

I also have the strong feeling that too much hashing power got sold in batch 1 - in case they deliver 2-3 Petas until mid Oct we see 500m+ diff soon. Doom for everyone...  Undecided

exactly

When selling miners you have in general three choices:

1) Sell a limited amount at a very high price
2) Sell as much as you can for a lower price
So customers are happy with their investment (making ROI).

3) Sell as many as you can at the highest price acceptable or even above it, which results in losses for buyers and max profit for you.

You are right - even option 3) is valid in a free market. No one forces people to buy. Still - As a responsible company, KnC must have anticipated their impact on the network somehow. I have the impression they did, but closed order books a few weeks too late imho.

I guess this is also the reason why we dont see canceled Oct batch orders on their page for sale - they realized it is better to hold 'em back...

In case they really sold & deliver 2-3 Petas until mid Oct we can hug them for beeing good engineers - but thats it... strategic/ responsible thinking = 0 - I would be very disappointed.

I made several investment scenarios. But 500m+ diff by mid/end of Oct beats even my worst case scenario by far - getting worried, so sad  Embarrassed

And I deserve some promised apologies. So with all due respect to those that promised they had the balls to do so once the time came, it's now. I wasn't lying, I never have been, and i'm happy to forgive, and let bygones be bygones.

Credit, where credit's due, I told the truth, and received no payment for my efforts. I just wanted to put an end to the scamming madness around the end of April on, and school some peeps on making secure pre-order purchases.

So in all fairness my heart was, and always has been in the right place (with a level head i'd like to think as well).

There's also a tip jar if anyone fancies buying me a drink! Wink

No apologies here - just a comment from a quiet reader. No matter how this ends. With your detailed open day report and your constant effort you heavily influenced my decicion to invest in KnC back in June. Your research and positive attitude towards KnC kept me away from pushing the refund button during this endless 3 months. In case of break even - my first 0.1 BC will go to your account.

From Germany to UK - Keep up the good work

I just shot KNC an email, but I figure I might as well pose this here as well. KNC is offering to pre-configure our miners, right? I suspect that each miner will go through a burn-in test of some sort, like most computers do (or at least used too). Is KNC going to do the burn-in using the pool-of-choice, that you've entered on their website, or are they going to make a few BTC by using their own internal pool and pay directly to the wallet they've also asked for on the config page?

I would prefer they use my chosen pool, not their internal pool. But that's just me.

they'll use your pre-settings for burn in

The last news seems to tell : We are going to do batches.
No shipping between the 15th of October and mid-November.

I wouldn't consider it a "Batch" really.

You can't sell up to October 31st at $7,000 and then November 1st Say it's $5,000.

yeah - good argument
