161  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: January 21, 2018, 11:10:22 AM
I'm not sure how my suggestions are 'patchwork' or how they are 'to the advantage of arrived forum members' as under my proposal everyone would have to pay for a signature from Newbies to Heroes to Staff. Do you actually have any bright ideas to stop the plague of spam and shitposting? You always seem quick to shoot down others proposals but have yet to suggest any viable solutions yourself other than just biased whining.

I have given my suggestions earlier. They were to govern the forum in total from principles instead of maintaining outlaw trust moderation. If you don't install principles you'll be bound to get the spamming as here discussed, and a whole lot of nastiness more, which however may get you red trust points when discussed. The reason that I call your suggestion 'patchwork' is because I consider all suggestions that are not about installing grounding principles patchwork.

I agree. The forum actually deserves a very thorough update. Both in technical possibilities as in moderation structure. So many things could be so much better. The suggestions of hilariousetc are patchwork that is only to the advantage of arrived forum members (who are definately not always the true assets of this forum).

I also have the same question. I can see the spreadsheet have been updated but tokens were not distributed. And ColorlessK is not replying to questions.

Cheesy Established bounty managers rarely do.

I see the developer manager long enough not to monitor the project. Even spreadsheets have not been updated. I hope Dev can work quickly, and soon update my rankings.

That is my hope too. Bounty work consists of hard work and high hopes only.  Cheesy

I'm following with interest and attention whether this project is going to pay their bounty participants or whether working for Viabet was for them just a lost gamble itself.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][BOUNTY] BPC platform - First Blockchain Programmatic RTB Platform on: January 10, 2018, 10:07:22 PM
Your bounty campaign is temporarily stop. Whats happening dev? will it keep going in future or?

Something absolutely no news and answers. I wanted to clarify the situation. We will continue to wait for announcements from the team.

Now were a months further! It appears that nobody is going to get paid for their bounty work. What a disgrace!
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][Pre-ICO]Nousplatform - Platform for decentralized investment funds on: January 10, 2018, 10:03:23 PM
When will the bounty be distributed ?

When will the credits be paid to the campaign participants?

Manager give us what kind of information? When will the tokens be distributed? We will wait patiently. Thank you

I think it is time to tell these, and all the other, participants what is going on with the bounty pay. It's fair, isn't it? They all worked for Nous and now the work is done Nous turns silent.

This project actually looks interesting! Finally someone thought about connecting all these different blockchains. Will watch.
Don't just watch. Participate! What's the use of only watching ascending lines?  Wink

i bought 300 tokens. now i wonder why i haven't more...

Smiley During the ICO I had a shortage of ETH, so I spent it all on ICX. Didn't get the amount I wanted. Then I went to refill my Ether wallet. When I returned for more ICX the ICO was sold out.  Cheesy

Is this project still active?

The bounty won't be very active for long anymore. I was late too.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: January 06, 2018, 07:17:25 PM
They never delayed the mainnet launch date. It's on 24th of January. Grab as many tokens as you can and you'll be very happy with the results when they get listen on a Korean exchange!

You still wear their signature. Then you're a true believer of the purest kind.  Cheesy
172  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: January 05, 2018, 09:56:32 PM
If all of these solutions are 'stopgap' then what would you suggest, oh wise one?
Thank you. You may get up now.  Cheesy

Not being able to have a large flashy signature doesn't impair someone's freedom of speech.
The very fact that Theymos opens this thread to hear ideas about how to influence what visitors say means that he does not want to let everyone totally free in their linguistic expression. I support restriction of expression. But I suggest that it must be based upon clear principles and visions, which seem to be lacking.

Because the two systems are completely separate and irrelevant to each other. Forum moderaters and DT members are not the same, and therefore one has no need to follow the guidelines of the other. It's shocking that someone questioning principle and free speech cannot grasp this extremely simple concept.
By the rules, scamming is allowed on this forum. Do you suggest that we stop tagging scammers, just because the forum rules (which aren't even official) don't explicitly say it's wrong? If that's the case, why bother even having a trust system? Are you starting to understand how silly and misinformed your argument is yet?
You summerize it well. Thank you. Stopping with tagging presupposed scammers because the forum rules don't say it's wrong is exactly what I am suggesting. I am suggesting that punishment must be rooted in clear principles and not in the subjective whims of a couple of moderators who also abuse the trust system for their own agenda. Don't you see? In the current situation we have punishment without rules. Either you install clear forum rules and punish objectively according to these rules or you install everyone with the power to punish so innocent victims of guilty moderators can defend themselves against them. Or you simply take away that power from everyone. If you leave the situation as it is you do not run the forum from principles, unless some kind of oligarchy (power to a few, subjectively utilized by a few) is the principle on which you want to base your forum structure. We have an animal farm here where all members are equal but some members are more equal. Of course the more equal ones want to keep it like that, and they're lurking for even more difference.
173  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: January 05, 2018, 01:50:37 PM
People care not about principles and thorough solutions. They want stopgap solutions. This thread proves it. Theymos must simply decide about his political utopia and construct the forum accordingly. Hilariousetc opts for some kind of oligarchic system where the rich get it all and the poor get nothing. Is that Theymos's ideal? Fine. He apparently doesn't like full freedom of speech. Fine. It's his forum. But it is not built upon principles. Just an example: Theymos allows multiple accounts but at the same time he allows it that some trust moderators punish users with multiple accounts. That's not coherent policy. I know. Nobody cares about a principle post like this. They will just turn to their stopgap remedies again. Probably Theymos included. However I say that this forum needs a thorough reconstruction.

175  Other / Meta / Re: ? About Trust on: January 03, 2018, 07:25:04 PM
Oh really? Ok I didn’t know that. There’s just so many scammers I think it’s important to leave feedback when you have a good or bad experience with someone. That way other people know. I don’t want any red trust though because I would never scam anyone in my life and I don’t want anyone to be afraid that I would.
Moderators do the same what you did among themselves. That's how they received so many green trust points. They just don't like it when others outside of their little green circle make progress also on this forum. Then they tag you with red trust for any silly reason they can come up with. That's how they stay in power. It is best to keep a very low profile towards certain moderators. Just for your information about how things work around here.
176  Other / Meta / Re: Does this guy deserve a ban? on: January 03, 2018, 05:16:22 PM
There are about 10,000 members that I'd love to see banned and who deserve it way more than this buttplug does.

There's only one really on my list. And he's not far away.

I’ve seen people getting banned in other forums for that. Not doing anything is an invitation for him and others to keep opening posts with made up stories.

Other forums are usually differently moderated. Namely objectively along principles and rules. Here hidden agenda's and subjective likings of moderators are decisive.
177  Other / Meta / Re: ? About Trust on: January 03, 2018, 05:04:24 PM
[...] I left them a positive trust. This person also did the same thing for me.
Carefull with expressing such things. Some grumpy moderator may tag you with red trust points for 'trust farming'.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: January 03, 2018, 10:42:18 AM
overly price, even Charlie points out how a newly project reach close to 20bil, not million, but Billion, with no working product yet? What we are paying is actually the projected value maybe 5 years down the road, assume the project will succeed.
I understand. I can imagine that the rise of price has to do with Charles Hoskinson and Bittrex being on board. Plus the reason why I bought a few; their positioning at coinmarketcap and the fear of missing out.

Hello bounty manager. I just joined for a few stakes in the last week.

That's funny. With the above post I got promoted to Member ranking. So I have just adjusted my signature.  Cheesy

I was wondering about Cardano (ADA). I didn't know the project untill it appeared on coinmarketcap. Where Icon is often called the Korean Neo or Ethereum Cardano is called the Japanese Ethereum. How do these two projects compare? Any opinions about this? I was lucky to buy a few ICX's during the ICO, but I recently invested a bit in ADA also.
