161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Altcoins match up to Bitcoins on: December 12, 2017, 05:17:35 AM
When it happens (not if) it will come as a complete surprise to everyone when it does (myself included probably), the way I see it is now that blockchain technology is being introduced into the mainstream of finance - BTC and the little association that banded together years ago to promote and protect it (at a price to join) will lose control of the blockchain guidance that it wielded like a new weapon in the world, altcoins and the shotgun approach to answering the worlds financial problems will outrun BTC as long as young developers challenge the status quo and think outside of the box and continue to keep moving in a decentralized fashion that enables users to reach beyond borders that others in power have put in place to promote their own wealth.
My short answer is yes=altcoins will match Bitcoin and pass it, do your research.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: December 12, 2017, 04:58:28 AM
Hi,

I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit..
After 14 days the price is dropping..

They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them  Grin)
My answer.. Just wait!

- Developers can't work 24 hours a day
- don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  Wink
- a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient..
If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit.

Yeah we all should be more patient. Nobody can earn so much money in a few weeks or a few days. First we should learn what to do and how to do. After it we need to practice with small amounths to gain experience.

Thats it, takes some time to learn how to walk or talk, small amounts are a good way to learn.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 12, 2017, 04:52:03 AM
could this be the big hedge funds taking a position and backing a winner?
Its certainly got global action now - wow!

or could it be the US markets taking a position ahead of shorting Bitcoin & then reaping the rewards as everyone retreats to Litecoin? - You guys are right something big is happening that's for sure.

OK just traded in all my under performers on neg% or tiny weekly %'s - gotta love that coinmarketcap "view all" feature - lets see how far this goes!

Could be anything, but I think that cause it transfers so quickly and at a low cost people are learning to buy it rather than anything else if they are going to move their crypto from one site to another, I bought ETH, BTC and LTC on one site and learned real quick that LTC was the best option for transfer's, I want quick transactions and low transaction cost's, so lets say I was able to profit with arbitrage - LTC rates high among the top 5 coins capable of moving around and I would be able to make more money with the low transfer fee's .
Yes I very strongly agree with your statement.
LTC is the best option for the transaction because the transaction costs are low.
Well thank you sir, low cost transactions is kind of half of what Charlie tried to say on CNBC, the other half of what he was saying is decentralized, this coin is not controlled, it has no central power devaluing it and we that have a little bit (or alot) are truly who give it any value, kind of like Art ya know, LTC is the coin you could buy you morning coffee with (if you dare to stop holding it)

People in here have been so nice, so I am just gone ask for help with another thing I have been thinking about. I have a old computer standing around, the reason why I don't use it is because it has no harddrive the on in it broke and so far I haven't bothered replacing it.
Hmmm  what do you want help with? I also have an old computer around and so I  kinda relate.. but my own has a working hard drive with a little history on it pics and what not that I never transferred and the the only reason I hold on to it, I would be willing to sell it for the right price if your interested  Wink
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: December 12, 2017, 04:39:32 AM
A promising project with such an organized team. Waiting for the update of the airdrop and more bounty for this project.

YOu're on a fake twitter page, there is no air drop for POWR and bounty is finished.
You have to admit this is funny though right? When somebody comes in late to something expecting some type of airdrop or whatever, I laughed for a second over this  Cheesy
anyway..I hold some of these coins and hope more people adopt the idea, solar is a good way to become independent, independent avoiding one bill anyway, in the U.S. energy is so costly and  if there was a crypto involved in just promoting solar and showing people how the transactions of selling back to the grid with contracts could benefit them then more solar would make its way on top of houses and less people would pay for municipal energy.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 12, 2017, 04:18:51 AM
True the 4 x faster speed has to be a factor, and then add to that the fact that its a lot more solid & stable than many of the smaller coins - so you can depend on it to bank smaller coin gains in and hold the value before those gains drop back down... and of the big coins it has the least "BUBBLE" about it
I do not see the BUBBLE people speak of, Crypto is a hot topic, banks and businesses are running to the crypto scene trying to to figure out how to get in, BTC is on its way to pass the 30,000 dollar value that once seemed a far way off when it was under 500 dollars and it will stay as volatile as it has always been, but transferring it is a pain, I want my money and I don't want to see it "pending", LTC is trusted with a track record and I am willing to bet its forks will do well also, not sure I will need to use LTC for my transfers always but as long as its the quickest I will buy it and use it to buy the satoshi coins I want.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Iota vs cardano on: December 12, 2017, 04:02:15 AM
The developers of both teams are both doing work toward improving their projects, by diversifying your investment and holding both you will limit the risk involved in investing, if you believe in one over the other just put it all in one and do what you can to support it and bring more support to the community surrounding it.

168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Haha! I think Litecoin is in the Process of breaking Bittrex, LOL on: December 12, 2017, 03:07:15 AM
As Litecoin start's to get the biggest pump its ever seen, I think bittrex among other popular sites are getting more traffic than planned for, it is kind of cool to watch how high it can get - I shouldve bought at 7 cents and held dang it, now Im buying the other 7 centers (well 1 of em).
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are all tokens shit? on: December 12, 2017, 02:15:31 AM
No, did you get burned?
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Light Coin surgeing why? on: December 11, 2017, 03:50:46 AM
Don't get me wrong I like LTC but why the recent surge?
Apparently Charlie Lee will be on CNBC in the morning, pretty much half of the US investors will get a glimpse at Crypto over their morning cup of coffee.
And in light of the recent btc surge ltc really does look like a good investment.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's happening with Altcoins ! on: December 11, 2017, 01:13:48 AM
Looks like some people buy alot of coins while alts are in the red, I see some green candles that have some very heavy btc flowing into the coin in the last few hours, so what is happening with Altcoins??? They are on the way back up after a day in the red?
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airbnb ICO on: December 11, 2017, 12:51:52 AM
yes i'm a part of their telegram group and have been since the beginning. Lots of potential in this one and i think it's the team that gives me a lot of faith as well. other than that I just hate airbnb lol, so anyone that's going to disrupt, I'm behind.
My take on airbnb is surely quite different than yours, so much better to rent a house on airbnb than stay in a hotel for extended periods of time, a token moving in a similar direction is something I could use.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In Need of some Developer help - maybe community crypto legal advice - ACT - on: December 10, 2017, 06:23:41 AM
You know I guess its just me being pissed off about this, I have the tower i started everything on and so its all recorded clearly on the disk, I do not like one bit that these guy's took a project they worked on and took it's logo and ticker, there are lots of abbreviations that can be used.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In Need of some Developer help - maybe community crypto legal advice - ACT - on: December 10, 2017, 05:38:41 AM
It's hard to say who the ACT belongs to, but it's also a current situation in cryptocurrency markets, where the abbreviation of the three letters of the alphabet is not enough, and it often leads to repetition.
Read through my post, I believe the devs were also involved in developing the qt for activecoin in 2014 that i payed to have built. I could understand the abbreviations become a problem, but logo and abbreviation and the same person behind it?? No.. Achain is straight up a pull from my creative idea.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / In Need of some Developer help - maybe community crypto legal advice - ACT - on: December 10, 2017, 05:22:59 AM
Ok so I have a question for those that are in the know on how our community should deal with Coin vs Coin.

The issue is complicated but here is a brief incomplete summary.

In early 2014 I decided to start a coin to get more people interested in crypto coins.
In 2014 I launched ACT - it was designed to target people that lived active lives to get them interested in crypto and the goal for the coin was for it to be used for buying recreational items and anything they would need to live an active lifestyle'
also to reward people that contributed while engaged in a active lifestyle, now honestly I knew it was too soon to start niche type of coins but i wanted to reserve the ticker and the logo and idea for a project i was passionate about and I believed it could weather the lows and survive, ACT (activecoin) had good hashrates and behind the trading scenes appeared to have good support - I was able to get it listed on an exchange honestly when at the time some exchanges insinuated and suggested that for a fee they would list coins (and I decided not to buy into exchanges), I bought into miner leases to keep hashing for those that were interested in the project and spent money on it that I earned at my day job to reward auctions on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Activecoin/ I might have gone about things wrong at the time in attempting to market the crypto but I have always had plans to invest in ACT and revive the blockchain I started that surely has a place in the world in many ways.

So the Issue is:
Achain has been using ACT as the ticker for their coin, it is tradable and listed on many different exchanges.
They have been using the same logo as activecoin: ACT
They have appropriated a brand that technically should be protected unless released by myself or those that hold ACT (activecoin) in a community vote while the chain is online.
I believe that the developers of achain were involved in the production of activecoin - using a copy of the bitcoin qt client that they sold to me through the bitcointalk.org forum.
To revive the blockchain of ACT (activecoin) at this point would be a head to head position against the Achain developers.
I am very upset that my creative content for an idea of a crypto was used without my consent.

176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: have anybody heard achain? on: December 10, 2017, 03:37:23 AM
I am completely and utterly disturbed by achain, the devs chose to not only use the ticker of Activecoin but also the same logo, if there was some type of legal recourse to take here i would pursue it cause I am very irritated that the ticker is being used, I have always had plans to revive Activecoin to ensure the miners that put hash power into it could be reimbursed for their investment, I just do not know what route to take right now.
Any advice would be appreciated.

177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy⚡Now a Top 10 Cryptocurrency⚡| Official Thread |Updated Aug10 on: December 08, 2017, 02:28:39 AM
Good news. Once BTC correction comes, hope NEO moon does too

Or oposite, alts will go even deeper Smiley

I think Alts are all going deeper, and at this point there will not be a BTC correction cause it truly is a great addition to anyone's portfolio, the only correction coming is in Alts, they are undervalued at the time cause the only digital currency is an Altcoin - Bitcoin has become more than it was built to be and cannot be used to buy coffee or pizza without a high transaction fee, yet if crypto is what you want to pay with there is 10 or 20 coins that have less of a fee - I personally use LTC when I move my crypto value but thats cause its what I am familiar with.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKitties - Ethereum's first blockchain game on: December 08, 2017, 01:27:44 AM
Its good to see the Blockchain challenged, and I have hopes that more non technical applications are developed with Cryptokitties being a testament to others, the devs have done a great job!

Yes its good to see blockchain challenged but they shouldn't do it in a way that it will affect the ETH network
I sent a token to liqui. A tx fee was even generated except if it will deliver just when i am typing this.
Look.. these ETH guys have been developing blockchain for years, you really think a little kitty is going to take down the network they have put their heart and soul into?
My transaction is not going thru due to the congestion caused by these kitties..urghhh

I think the developers need to work on a off-chain solution. There is no need for the trading to be done on the blockchain.
they can create their own exchange and record the ownership on their own site. leave only the breeding of the kitties using the
smart contract on the blockchain..

this will definitely reduce the load on the ethereum blockchain.

I am sure cryptopuppies, cryptohamster, cryptobunnies are coming up...so pls work on a off-chain solution.
If they encourage an offchain option it will be the time to worry about ETH, this is what ETH was rolled out for, less people play games than the people that need to send email chains back and forth securely, if ETH can't handle 5 more games just like the kitties than Blockchain Technology for transferring information is doomed, ETH is poised to take a lead in the race of token networking and smart contracts and the kitties should forever be referred to as the "damn kittens" that somehow managed to smash the competition.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKitties - Ethereum's first blockchain game on: December 07, 2017, 04:44:07 AM
It's a pretty interesting new game using ethereum smart contract but totally unplayable right now. The network is completely cogged up.

This game push ethereum off the edge. It sad because ETH's goal is to be a decentralized computer dor DApp. I thought for a long time it was only for ICO, but the can't achieve their primary goal.

Pushed it to it's limit is all, when I reach my limit I personally push a little harder to hit my goal, kitties and all ETH is here to stay, I would bet on it.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why so many altcoins? on: December 07, 2017, 04:40:46 AM
Almost all the altcoins that are being created now are all just like the ones being made months or even years ago, they are just competing now with more faster transactions and things they see or observed that are the weakness of the coin they are just innovating and naming it with another unique name.

I do like the "years ago" included in your statement, frigging Achain stole my logo and ticker from years ago, I am not a fan of Achain
